Food always being refreshed and is hot and delicious. Drinks are usually refilled before glass gets empty. Customer service is A+.

I came here for lunch with my family on a weekday. It was affordable and they had a 10% senior discount. It's in a good location in a small shopping center near Tanger outlet. I personally think this is the best Chinese buffet in Charleston. There wasn't a dish that I tried that I didn't like! The food overall was great quality for a buffet and they had a good selection. I enjoyed their Mongolian bar (you pick raw ingredients and they cook it for you), their chicken wings, General Tao's, soups (egg drop and hot and sour), seafood broil (crawfish with mussels and corn), noodles, and shrimp with veggies. Their sushi was okay, there were 5 rolls and 3 types of sushi with rice available. For dessert there's soft serve ice cream, fruits, small cakes, and jello that were tasty. The service was average and as expected for a buffet. read more

We really enjoyed our trip to the Grand Buffet by the Tanger outlet in North Charleston. We got a table right away and we headed to the buffet. Lots of things to choose from and each and every option we tried was delicious. It was also one of the most affordable buffets in the area and we promise we will be heading back there soon. read more

I do like the fact that they have hibachi but I was annoyed that the sushi was all gone when we arrived at 2:30. I tipped the hibachi guy a couple bucks to make more but he was the only guy back there. He tried making the rolls but was interrupted every few minutes by someone wanting hibachi so I got my sushi around 3:15. My appetite had disappeared for the most but I finished my plate. The salad bar was missing alot of stuff too. The staff was sitting in the back eating their own lunch and talking They got up to clear a table. The staff should eat before opening the restaurant and right before the dinner crowd comes read more

Grand Buffet Chinese food | North Charleston, Sc 4950 Centre Pointe Dr, North Charleston, SC 29418 Grand Buffet - North Charleston, SC (3.8 out of 5) If you're in the mood for the classic American-style Chinese buffet experience -- where the steam trays stretch longer than your willpower -- Grand Buffet in North Charleston delivers a solid, dependable meal that hits the spot. Walking in, you're greeted by a pretty typical buffet setup: rows of familiar favorites like lo mein, fried rice, General Tso's chicken, and enough crispy egg rolls to feed a small army. The good news? Everything we tried was fresh, hot, and regularly restocked, which is honestly half the battle with buffets. Nothing sad or dried out sitting under the heat lamps here -- the staff kept the trays filled in a timely manner. The food itself was good, with a wide selection that covers the usual Chinese buffet classics. If you're the kind of person who likes to build a plate that looks like a delicious game of culinary Tetris, you'll have plenty of options to work with. The staff and host were friendly, which always makes the experience better. The restaurant was semi-clean, meaning it wasn't sparkling like a five-star dining room, but it was perfectly acceptable for a busy buffet environment. Now for the minor bumps in the road. At times the servers seemed to vanish like ninjas in a kung-fu movie -- one minute they're there, the next minute you're wondering if they discovered teleportation. It felt like they might have been a little understaffed, which would explain the disappearing act. The price landed around $28 with tip on a weekend, which feels slightly on the heavier side for a buffet. Not outrageous, but enough to make you briefly question whether you grabbed enough crab rangoon to get your money's worth. Pros Good selection of classic Chinese buffet dishes Food was hot and fresh Buffet trays restocked regularly Friendly host and staff Food tasted good overall Cons Servers occasionally hard to find (likely understaffed) Weekend price around $28 with tip feels a little steep Final Verdict Grand Buffet delivers exactly what you expect from a Chinese buffet: hot food, plenty of variety, and a chance to go back for "just one more plate" about four times. If you're hungry and in the North Charleston area, it's a solid 3.8 out of 5 stars and worth stopping by. Just remember: buffets operate on a simple rule -- pace yourself... or regret it halfway through plate number three. read more

The food selection was different from the normal run of the mill in an Asian Buffett restaurant. It was a smaller restaurant with fewer selections, but that is what made it stand out. What they offered was delicious and cooked with some kind of umami flavor that could be considered "love." The service was fast and attentive. The setting was quaint. I had a pretty good time here and would return again if in the area. read more

Food was fresh and delicious. Restaurant looked clean and staff was friendly and attentive.

I called my order in for pickup, and when I arrived, I was greeted right away, and my food was ready. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the pickup process quick and easy. I ordered pork fried rice and 4 pieces of chicken wings. The box was heavy, and when I opened the box, the portion sizes were generous, and the food was still hot. However, the chicken wings were dry and tasteless, while the pork fried rice was underwhelming and lacked any discernible seasoning. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in both dishes. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not match the quantity. read more

Me and my son came there and a woman offered to pay for our food it was right after New a years and I thought it as kind of her and I accepted I just ordered rice and chicken and it took 30 minutes just to receive the food guy at the front desk seemed like he knew what he was doing and made us wait extra long like we were poor and homeless. He meant to take forever for us to get the food then when we got it it wasn't all that good . He noticed my son getting impatient and then when food arrived he gave me a little container like we were homeless. My son wasn't even going to eat this food he wanted something else the food was for me only. Moral of this story is just because I accepted someone to pay for our food doesn't mean we are poor and should have been treated with the same courtesy as everyone else. I will never go back to this location no matter how much I want Chinese food fuck this place and fuck you Chinese people go back home and make living there read more

If you are looking for a nice Chinese Buffet, I recommend Grand Buffet in North Charleston. This spacious restaurant has several long stations of food featuring seafood like mussels, shrimp, crawfish, and lobster. Other stations have various stir fry dishes. Another has ribs, egg rolls and crab rangoon and stir fried rice or noodles. There is a soup station with wonton, egg drop and hot and sour soup. Grand buffet also has a small salad bar and dessert bar with cakes, donuts, cookies, ice cream and fresh fruit. I had several plates of food and it was very good- hot and fresh. Great variety at a good price. I will definitely come back again. read more

The Grand Buffet is a Chinese Food Buffet located in North Charleston. The inside is new and clean. The buffet boasts several long stations with various dishes. You can find seafood, stir fry dishes, egg rolls, crab Rangoon and Chinese soups like egg drop and hot and sour soup. They also have chicken nuggets and fries for the kids. You can find a small salad bar and a nice dessert bar with cake, ice cream and fresh fruit selections. Our host was very friendly and seated us without a wait. Since we had the Buffet we were invited to start filling our plates right away. Our waiter brought drinks and silverware. I started with egg drop soup and then sampled the seafood. Then I had some ribs and crab Rangoon. I followed that with a dessert of cake with some cantaloupe. The food was very good and the staff kept everything full and warm. I would have given Grand Buffet a 5 star rating, but they were missing some of my favorite Chinese dishes and instead had more seafood options. I will definitely be back again. read more

We walked in, grabbed a plate of food, and sat down. My husband comes to me and asks if I saw what he sent me. I hat was it your ask? Vomit, a huge pile of vomit in the sink in the men's bathroom. I showed the lady working the register and she genuinely seemed unbothered, like this shit happens all the time. Needless to say we walked the fuck out. read more

Always a great experience during the day but decided to go Saturday June 14 around 730pm. You can tell they were winding down and you got stuck with older pans of food that were hard and many pans were empty.when leaving I heard a girl ask around 830 if more food was coming out and the employee responded just rice. I always end with the cheese wontons. These were so dried out and crunchy as hell. I will go back again of course but never after 5 read more

I'm sorry.. I almost feel like I need to review bathrooms only in restaurants.. if it looks like this in Publix view.. imagine what the kitchen looks like.. this bathroom is always nasty and covered in dust. I have complained and came back ( husband loves the soup) and same dust and dirt was everywhere. It needs a good scrubbing and bleach.. Lots of bleach.. I wish I could see men's bathroom because it's most likely the same. Only reason for 1 star is husband likes the egg drop soup.. there is also mold on ceiling and rust where metal is.. paper towel dispenser did not work read more

Absolutely one of the worst dining experiences ever - I am amazed this place has its door open. Food was terrible, not just bad, terrible. Cold, greasy, I took a sample of the Sesame Chicken, Green Pepper steak, and Japanese Black Pepper Chicken - all three were inedible. Left the inedible food on my plate, paid my bill, and left - never to come again. read more

If I could give it less I would. Food old with very little selection. This is my first ever review. It was that bad.

The food was hot, and tasted good. Big selection of options. The place was clean from what I saw. The only thing we ate the same was the mussels, I don't know if I will go back. read more

Would not recommend. Pictures make it look better than what it really is. Egg rolls were cold. Wait staff is abysmal. Will never go again. I travel a lot and am a huge foodie. I live buffets! This one? Not so much. Greatly disappointed. Save your money. Go to Panda Express. read more

Absolutely disgusting. Cold food and just nasty. My wife and I went for lunch today and we took two bites of our food and everything on our plates was cold. They offered no discount so I paid $25 for two lunch buffets and we were in the establishment for less than 10 minutes. They even asked how it was and why we were leaving so soon, they simply do not care read more

You know haters gonna hate, but for the price, you're getting pretty good meat and seafood. Noodles are solid. The sweet buns are fire. The wings weren't bad. Classic Chinese buffet...excellent quality buffet food, reasonable priced too. We will return, for sure!

If you're going to a Chinese buffet, you know what you're getting into. Don't expect a gourmet restaurant. The ambiance is casual, the food is solid and it's pretty clean. For a Chinese buffet, I'd say it's one of the better ones! read more

This is a Grand Buffet of Chinese food, and more. It has a large seating area, and fills up fast for lunch and dinner. But you are seated very quickly, and then you begin. I am not going to detail all the food. It is full of all that you would expect, it is well kept, and tastes ok. I actually prefer going to the hibachi grill and assembling my own plate of food..usually chicken and all the veggies. Then tell him spicy or not, and soon you get a fresh cooked plate HOT off the griddle. There are other things I like (egg foo young) but I don't usually go for all of the buffet. Be prepared at the buffet bars though, as many people act like it's their last supper and will push you aside and cut in front of you. Just be patient, there is plenty for all. And you can always go back again. read more

It's not bad for a $10 lunch, I just wish they had more oriental options. They have a lot of american/fried things on the buffet. They recently close the mongolian grill they had and got rid of the sushi. The sesame chicken has really good flavor and the vegetables they put out are fantastic. I am a big fan of the zucchini and green beans. The chicken and broccoli has the perfect amount of sauce on it and the broccoli isn't over done. The wings are pretty delicious. The salad bar has a good variety and the desserts are always changing. Highly recommend trying all of them, though. The waitresses keep your drinks full and the tables clean. read more

I love this place! The cashiers are very friendly. I usually do the take out menu which gives so much for the price. Their fried rice is wonderful and the wings are huge! Love their sesame chicken which is tender and sweet. The ribs, either boneless or boned are both yummy. All in all a good place to eat in or take out. read more

Looking at the reviews we must have caught them on a very bad day. We were there on a Saturday. We were traveling read the reviews and all seven adults agreed to go there with five children. Worst the decision ever. We were greeted swiftly by the host and she took us in a back room. The ceiling was leaking and they had a bucket on one of the tables to catch the overflow water. We asked if they were allowed to serve people or food in this room and the host replied "Yes" don't worry we take good care of you. The food was HORRIBLE the bar wasn't well taken care of and needed to replenish. I am not sure how this place got such great reviews I do know we will never stop there again. read more

I was headed to Charleston Seafood when I walked past this place. They had a sign for Cajun Seafood so I went in. I browsed the buffet looking for the Cajun seafood - I was born in Louisiana. I could not find anything that resembled Cajun. I asked the waitress but she spoke no English. I thought well give it a try anyway. Hands down the worst food in Charleston. The tea was so sweet that I had to eat some ice cream to get my blood sugar back down. All the food must have been out for days on the bars. I tried peeling the shrimp and why would just mash up in my hands - nasty. It was all bad. I have this on a list of thing not to do in Charleston. read more
