We figured out what we wanted for our late lunch and ordered at the counter, in my case their Bourbon Chicken. I got the large size and it turned out to be so large I took about a third home for the next day. It wasn't as syrupy sweet as you tend to find in food courts but a nice reasonable flavor with some sweet brown sauce. The person who we interacted with was nice, offering us disposable plates and silverware. Located in a shopping plaza at the NE corner of Manatee Ave W and 75th St W, it was easy to find and easy to park.

I said yes, but after charging my card $54.64 (plus the tip I added, bringing the total to $60), she never gave me one. While waiting for my takeout order, I started thinking the total seemed unusually high. I grabbed a menu and added up my order myself, only to realize I had been overcharged. When she brought my food out, I asked if the receipt was in the bag. She said yes and essentially rushed me out the door. When I got to my car, there was no receipt in the bag, so I went back inside and asked for an itemized receipt. I explained that I had been overcharged. She then said she had accidentally charged me twice for a beef and broccoli plate. I only received one beef and broccoli in my order. She offered to give me the difference in cash, but when I asked what my card would ultimately be charged, she became confused again and wouldn't give me a straight answer. She continued trying to rush me out, which made the situation even more frustrating. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable leaving the tip I had originally written on the receipt. I had to take the store copy and cross out the tip before finally leaving. Unfortunately, the food itself was also disappointing. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience from start to finish, and I regret not going to my usual Chinese takeout spot, China One on Cortez Road, which I highly recommend.

We ordered the house lo mein and the Cantonese Eight Treasures Pot; neither of them came with much meat at all (the second one is mostly tofu), and the shrimp are SO small (and you only get maybe four of them in each dish). I appreciated that they could accommodate my MSG allergy, and the cashew chicken dish was a good, large portion. But we won't be going back.

We are the regulars now for Grand Buffet in Bradenton, go there at least once a week. Noticed the management has upgraded the some of the items. Adding more salads like spinach salad, Caesar salad, diced hams & eggs, also more dressing now. It's a lot more appealing than before. We also noticed there's signs all over for "children must be supervised by adults at all time" which was our main concern before especially on weekend. We saw kids tried to get food themselves. But with these signs their parents should go with their children. Overall, the food is alway full and that's how they keep them fresh. The place is always clean and our favorite server Darren is always on top of everything for what we need. So far Grand Buffet is the best restaurant we want to go out to eat every week. read more
