Sushi is buffet grade but better than the vast majority of sushi buffets I have eaten at. Chinese is pretty standard for the type of place. GREAT IF YOU ENJOY HOSPITALS- Brought my girlfriend here because of all the positive Google reviews. We had some concerns about the place when we got there but decided we were being paranoid so we ate there anyways. Within 24 hours she was in the hospital. After 4 hours of her puking, diarrhea, whaling in pain, shaking, and going from hot to cold I had to take her to the emergency room. An IV and anti nausea wasn't enough to stop her suffering and puking for 9 more hours. Helplessly watching my loved one suffer like that was one of the worst experiences of my life. We like it. Friendly service and a good selection of food. We arrived for dinner and everything was fresh with food being brought out constantly. Nothing looks like it was sitting around for a long time. The sushi selections are one step above your typical Chinese buffet sushi options. Certainly not the best though. The hibachi Grill ingredients look fresh as well. BEWARE THEY CHARGE WEEKEND RATES ON FRIDAY. WHEN QUESTIONED THEY SAID THEY CONSIDER FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY THE WEEKEND. My friend and I decided to eat here based on their weekend lunch buffet price of $8.99. This is a typical Chinese buffet; the food selection wasn't much different than other Chinese buffets. There were several different kinds of sushi to choose from. It also has hibachi as an option. Most of the non-seafood protein was chicken but there were a couple pork/beef options. I came in on an empty stomach and ended up getting full rather quickly; I hear that that's a sign of MSG but I'm not making any allegations. The food was good. Wanted something quick and Asian on the drive home from Anna Maria Island and stopped here. You really can't have any expectations for a Chinese buffet with how many there are on the side of the road, but Grand Buffet was a surprising catch. Obviously you lack flavor and quality with buffets, but everything they had wasn't skimped out on. Their crawfish was cooked perfectly and the sauce didn't taste like toilet water. Coconut shrimp was made with coconut milk and had larger pieces of shrimp compared to any other buffets. Basically everything from hibachi, sushi, and hot selection has the best flavors than any casual Chinese buffet I've been to. Usually service isn't even something to be considered when at a buffet, and it's common sense to ask how tables are going, but most buffets don't bother being friendly. Turnover on food is very frequent, even when the dish isn't gone yet and didn't have any empty dishes. It was a random drive through and wish I could actually go here again because this place cuts all nasty stereotypes about Chinese buffets. read more

I don't live in Bradenton, but this buffet sure makes me wish I did! There is a HUGE variety of foods that it is hard to walk through the aisles and pick something. The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly to taste. There was a MOUNTAIN of blue crabs that were absolutely to DIE FOR. The buffet was clean and our waitress was very kind. Pretty good Chinese and seafood buffet. When we went the place was packed. The food was replenished fast and there was always plenty of whatever you wanted. Very good variety and quality. Waitress was wonderful, very attentive and brought drink refills without having to be asked. I would recommend this place for sure!! read more

Will not go back again. The food was bland over cooked and for the sushi it looked good but it was sour tasting.

So we see on the front door a posted sign that says masks required to enter the restaurant, and masks required at each buffet station. What do I see? I see young children with no face masks with adults not wearing masks at the buffet stations. So I ask the manager. He said the most funniest thing I have ever heard. He says, "that was the rules before when we had the pandemic." Hellow McFly! We are still in a pandemic. Oh ya, Florida is the new epicenter for the Delta strain. So I ask if he can make an announcement the way that businesses like Wal-Mart and Target do, to remind customers of the mask requirements. He doesn't do that. Instead he just takes the sign off the door altogether. HE TAKES THE SIGN DOWN! Nice solution there! You are just making more of a problem with confused diners not even knowing how to stay safe at your establishment. That is so pitiful! So now there is nothing to tell the restaurant patrons how they can have a safe dining experience. So basically I was ignored and not appreciated as a patron. And when I see at least 20 children with no masks on at the buffet, I think of the upcoming hospitalizations and funerals for these children. I think how it can al be prevented. I think how does a business owner not care for the safety of it's customers? I think of how the parents don't care for the safety of their own and other children. It just doesn't have to be this way. So when the Manatee County Food inspectors show up, it was me that sent them in. Yes, I did let them know that there is no signage now whatsoever telling of safety guidelines. And now for the food. IT SUCKED! Really, IT SUCKED! Tasteless, poor quality, and just plain nasty! That's as real as it gets! You want to avoid this poor excuse for a Chinese Buffett. I'm not just saying this because of the lack of safety precautions. The food really just sucked. Best thing I had was the strawberry moose on the desert station. You know what they say after you eat Chinese food, you'll be hungry again in 15 minutes. Guess what, I couldn't eat their crap and I am starving! Oh well another $14.99 wasted! I've had better egg rolls from the freezer section at Walmart. The sweet & sour chicken was a lot of flavorless breading. I almost found meat on the barbecue ribs. I've never seen anyone mess up crab Rangoon...but they did. Even the desserts were so so. The servers were excellent though! Kept checking on us. The hostess/owner couldn't stop talking on her phone even when taking our money and was rude to the servers. Listen, I'm sitting in the parking lot after an incredible meal! I was so compelled to write this. My stomach is so happy right now. The seafood is amazing. The blue crab and head on hot shrimp were cooked to perfection! This was a glutinous and decadent meal that left me and my entire large family feeling stuffed but pleasantly so. The value is so good, we were all a bit skeptical going in but now I'm just shocked they can make money at these prices with a spread like this at this quality. Went here for lunch,place was clean and nice inside service was ok,but the food was terrible. Pretty much all dishes were soggy, and seemed like they had been around a while including dishes that were coming straight out of the kitchen. I myself love Chinese food but this place leaves a lot to be desired will never be back here would rather have fast food which I never do. So if you head here good look. Zero stars here for me.
