    Peach cobbler-it was just ok

This was great! The server was really helpful with suggestions on what they are know for and what we should try. The portions are generous! I got the Dirty Fries w/pulled pork and IG was enough to share with 3! Hubby got brisket an it was over a half pound and so much food. Store was clean and inviting, nice little patio to admire the mission or just enjoy the evening on.

I stopped by Grams Bar B Que and had a mixed experience. The vibes inside were great welcoming atmosphere, clean space, and polite workers who made me feel taken care of. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the quality of the service. I ordered a 1/2 slab of beef ribs for about $45 before tax. They *looked* perfectly seasoned, but the flavor just wasn't there. It honestly tasted like pepper seasoning was thrown on after cooking. The biggest disappointment was the texture, the meat was extremely tough, easily the toughest ribs I've ever had. The only highlight was the barbecue sauce, which was actually pretty good, but not enough to save the dish. Overall, despite the nice vibes and friendly staff, the food missed the mark for me. Nothing about this experience would make me return

First time eating a meal here & it was delicious! I was craving bbq and remembered I walked by this place before while heading to Electric Barber close by. I got there at a decent time for a Thursday & there was hardly anyone there which was cool bc I was able to place my order and receive my food in a timely manner. The service was friendly and the setting of the restaurant is welcoming. The inside is decorated with very unique paintings. Pricing was fair for the amount of food given. This place is doing great in my opinion.

This restaurant is small but cute, it gives family vibes. The staff is very helpful, kind and funny. I ordered the fried shrimp with extra fries. My shrimp was crispy the way I like them and seasoned really well. The food is cooked upon your order so it'll take some time for your food to come out but I'm sure you'd rather your food be fresh and delicious than quick and nasty. I'll absolutely be back to try the rest of the items on the menu!

    Two Meat Combo

I ordered the two-meat combo with brisket and catfish, along with mac and cheese and yams. Everything was pretty good, and the service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and had a quaint, welcoming atmosphere. My only concern was the price--it felt a little expensive for the portion sizes. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and enjoyed my meal.

I had high hopes for this place . I have always heard about how good grams bbq is and how I have to try it . After the catacombs tour at mission inn me and my boyfriend wanted to grab a bite to eat so we decided here . When you first walk in its smells good and you can smell the bbq cooking In the back . But after that it goes downhill . The girl working the front was having to go back and forth from the front to the back but she handled everything well and was friendly . We decided on the ribs and we got the mac and cheese , baked beans , yams and some cornbread . All together it came out to 50 dollars and sadly it wasn't worth it . The ribs were good and had good flavor but they were extremely hard to chew . The Mac and cheese was lacking in flavor and left a lot to be desired . The yams were way too sweet it was inedible as the same with the baked beans. The catfish was good and had good seasoning to it . The cornbread muffin was extremely dry and it was hard to eat . For the cost of this place and the food taste it's sadly not worth it .

The food was delicious. Because it's a bbq spot it takes awhile for the food but well worth the wait! And it's located off the Mission Inn, so great scenery and tons of people watching if you are sitting on the patio.

Local art. Cool as we just visited the Cheech Marin Chicano Cultural Museum, which is within walking distance. A good day

I had no idea there were any restaurants in this area, much less a Hampton Inn lurking nearby. It was making a delivery to Inn that led to spotting this Soul food spot. Inside it's a vibrant, inviting yellow themed front space and dining room. Very conducive to good moods. I decided that the mini combo, with one side and cornbread, was a good value at $13.99, whereas the full combo adds a second side and costs $17.99. Lots of choices, including several styles of chicken, the smothered pork chops both sounded, and looked good. I saw a plate being assembled before I ordered. And the oxtail also appealed. Future trips will expand the experience. Ultimately, it was the pot roast that I ordered, with rice (or not if you prefer), and the greens rounded out the side choice. I proceeded to devour the entire meal in short order. The pot roast was amazing. Killer gravy, melt in the mouth tenderness, and the greens were another pleasant surprise. Hard to say what I tasted other than absolute goodness! Well done, and the host and her assistant were also warm and friendly. Über Eats, and possibly Doordash can deliver to your door.

L.A. had a reputation years ago for rude waitresses in Soul Food Restaurants and I think "In Living Color" did a skit on it. Tammy eliminates that bad rap. The oxtails were enough for two people. The first red flag was when I cane to pick up my pre-paid order I had scheduled for a 1pm pickup. It was not ready and I was told to wait. At 1:30pm I was still waiting and I complained that I ordered and paid days ago, and that this was making me late for my get together. They told me that it was coming out and preceded to hand me a tray to take back to my car one by one. I was in a rush and only verified that all food was accounted for. I should have verified the food was actually cooked! Both the mac n cheese and yams trays were horrible! The mac n cheese was just cheese sauce on macaroni and not baked. The yams were dry and tough as they were not candied at all! My guests barely touched it. Maybe the dinners are still okay but I definitely don't recommend their catering trays. I'll go support another soul food place.

I figured it would be the same great food in a different setting, but unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. First, I want to say that the person who took my order was very nice and friendly. Customer service at the counter was pleasant, and I appreciated that. As for the Anaheim Packing District itself, it's definitely a vibe. The atmosphere is lively, there's live music, and it's a fun place to walk around and explore. That said, it is very loud. The live music adds to the energy, but if you're looking for a quieter meal or conversation, be prepared for a lot of noise. Now, onto the food. The biggest disappointment was the baked beans. They didn't just have a hint of chili flavor they tasted like an actual bowl of chili. I'm talking to the point where I felt like I should've been eating them with crackers, shredded cheese, and sour cream instead of alongside catfish. I've had Georgia's baked beans before at the Irvine location, and this was nothing like what I expected. I also requested my catfish to be fried soft, but it still came out fried hard. The fish wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't cooked the way I asked, and it ended up being drier than I prefer. The mac and cheese was another letdown. The noodles were very mushy, and it seemed like they were buried under a thick layer of cheese rather than being creamy and well-balanced. It just didn't have the texture or consistency I was hoping for. One thing I also noticed was that I didn't receive the complimentary cornbread that I've gotten at the Irvine location. Maybe that's only offered for dine-in or varies by location, I honestly don't know, but it was something I was expecting based on my previous experiences. Overall, this visit just didn't live up to the standard I've come to expect from Georgia's. Since I've had consistently good meals at the Irvine Spectrum location, I'm hoping this was just an off day for the Anaheim kitchen. Unfortunately, with the baked beans tasting like chili, the over-fried catfish, and the mushy mac and cheese all in one meal, I left feeling pretty disappointed. I still enjoy Georgia's as a restaurant, but after this experience, I'll be sticking with the Irvine Spectrum location.
