We stumbled across this BBQ spot completely by chance during a road trip, and I'm so glad we decided to stop. The meat was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of smokiness. Every bite tasted fresh and homemade, and the portions were generous. Too Good Too Go Order: Friendly and welcoming staff greeted me as I walked in. Order was ready promptly. The food was delicious and portions were plenty for two. Looks like indoor seating is limited so maybe call ahead if planning to eat there. BBQ Chicken was juicy and the smoke flavor permeanted throughly inside each bite. Mac and Cheese had a great seasoning. Collard greens were some of the best I had. No bitterness at all and tender. Pulled pork had a nice char on the ends. Only got one little pack of bbq sauce (nice kick though) which meant I would have to save it for seconds for a sandwich when I get more sauce. Also received a cheesecake as part of the order but haven't tried it yet. I was too stuffed from the rest of the food. Excited to try this again, ribs for sure next time. read more

This is DELICIOUS! The pork ribs and the pulled pork are both AMAZING!! I got the wow plate with 5 meats and the sauce on the side. I had the wow beans and the greens as well as the corn bread and I topped it off with banana pudding. Everything is very good! The corn bread is sweet. This is soul food meets BBQ. My boyfriend and I were looking for a new spot for lunch when we stumbled upon LC BBQ! We were so pleasantly surprised when the food and the service were excellent! As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted. The restaurant is well lit and intimate seating. We opted for takeout, and they informed us they were out of brisket at the time but recommended to try the dino ribs (SPOILER ALERT: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING). Enough meat to fill two people and completely tender, fall off the bone goodness. I will say it was a little salty, but that's to be expected with the smokiness. Their barbecue sauce really complements their meat. The main star of the show for me was the peach cobbler. A hug into a dessert!!!! Lovely warm flavors of cinnamon and juicy peaches. We drove 40 minutes home and it was still warm! Definitely recommend trying with ice cream. Can't wait to go back and try some brisket. read more

I passed by on my way home and I could smell the BBQ for blocks away. So I decided to give them a try I ate half of my food before I got home. I bought food from LC Barbecue at their pop-ups a few times, and I am still thinking about it. First, I'll talk about the LC in LCBBQ. Leon and Cindy are just the most nicest people. Although it's a business, they care about their customers and whether they are enjoying the food. The food: I've never been a fan of beans or ribs, but theirs completely changed my mind. I came for the juicy and so flavorful brisket and ended up being a fan of EVERYTHING . The ribs are so tender that they fall right off the bone and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. The home made mac & cheese was pure comfort. My 8 year old always asks me to get her a side for herself. You can tell it is made with love and care, not just thrown together for profit. I would absolutely recommend LC Barbecue and will be ordering from them again at their new location. I was passing by the new location and Leon and Cindy just happened to be there. They were nice enough to let me see the progress of the new location. It's so beautiful and very cozy! So excited there's a place I can go to soon and not have to wait for the pop-up emails! I always like to try new restaurants that open up in the city and when it comes to bbq I definitely always have to give it a try. First I as soon as you enter the restaurant you're hit with that good smoked meat aroma and Cindy I believe she's one of the owners was really nice and explained everything about the menu. I did order almost about every protein on the menu as well as a few sides and desserts. We first started with the brisket. Which looked like it had been baked in the oven it had a very small smoke ring which convinced me that it had been smoked. The flavor was definitely there but was lacking the authenticity of smoked meat. We then tried the ribs. This is where the disappointment really kicked in. The ribs were not only flavorless, they were lacking everything a smoked rib should be. They were definitely tender but in my opinion too tender where it tasted like mush. It was Just not a good rib overall. Next I tried the pork links which were decent. They definitely weren't the best nor were they the worst. Lastly was the chicken that I tried. The chicken was very tender had a nice smoke bark to it but once again lacking seasoning. The sides I had got were potato salad and the smoked Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was definitely the highlight of everything I ordered. The Mac and cheese had a very good flavor and had nice seasoning. I also tried out the potato salad which was another disappointment. The potato salad was missing flavor and missing seasoning. To sadly say we didn't eat anymore of it. I also ordered the corn bread and the corn bread was very dry but had a good sweetness to it. The only thing that made everything taste better was the bbq sauce. The bbq sauce had such a nice balance to it, so good job to whoever made the bbq sauce. Lastly we moved on to the desserts. We didn't have very high standards for the desserts. I ordered the strawberry shortcake, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. With our disappointment with the food we didn't have high expectations for the desserts. I was wrong. The strawberry shortcake was delicious. It had the right amount of sweetness to it. Next was the peach cobbler. The peach cobbler was good and definitely better than other peach cobblers I have tried. Last on the list to try was the banana pudding. I will be honest I don't try banana pudding very often but I took a chance and ordered it because my wife wanted to try it. I have to say it was the best thing out of everything I ordered. It was a definite 9 out of 10. Out of everything we ordered this was the only thing that finished. For a family of 4 it was disappointing that there was so much food left over. I know bbq is expensive and I don't mind paying the price for GOOD bbq but for over 160 dollars spent you couldn't be more disappointed. I do believe in the saying "Good bbq doesn't need bbq sauce" and this bbq definitely needed all the sauce. With that being said I am rating it 2 stars instead of 1. Only because of how friendly the staff is and the cleanliness of the lobby. I hope to whoever is reading this has a better experience with the food than my family and I did. read more

My husband and I went yesterday not knowing what to expect..and boy were we pleasantly suprised!!! We had rib tips and hot links (brisket and ribs were "sold out") and we ordered most of their sides..I knew they knew what they were doing after tasting just one rib tip..The flavor and smoke taste was just right..Took me back to a real backyard bbq flavor with "that" one uncle who knew how to get down on the grill. We are sooo glad we took a chance and tried them..I'm a bbq "nut" and we will definitely be going back soon..Ordering my 4th of July food from here. Bought 2 dino ribs, full rack of bbq ribs , 1/2 pound brisket , 1/2 pound links . Everything was sooooo good ... didnt even need bbq sauce however with it tastes really great.
