If you haven't tried Grafted Cellars yet.... Go now!! I've gone for dinner back to back nights because the food is SO good. I don't actually like wine (like at all. The smell even bothers me usually) but their white sangria is very good. It had a nice fruity flavor. Food wise I have had the pepperoni hot pizza and the pear and goat cheese pizza. Both phenomenal! I don't typically like goat cheese (I'm super picky!) but the pizza was AMAZING. I also had the charcuterie plate which had a great spread! Nice variety of cheeses. And the bruschetta I was using my pizza crust to finish it off because it was just so fresh and so good!! Highly recommend! The outside is very cute and really nice with this weather we're having. The food was excellent! We had the pizza with honey and the meat and cheese board. The service was also great. Everyone was attentive and friendly. The wine needs some work. If you're a seasoned wine drinker I would give this place some time. I also wish they would use wine spouts or aerators to pour the wine. This was a nice, little surprise I discovered as my wife & i had lunch here yesterday. I was a little skeptical as the online menu seemed rather limited but we decided to take a chance & I'm glad we did. We tried a nice sampling of their wines with the whites & rosé being our favorites. We also tried a cab franc & cab sauv which, sadly, didn't quite live up to our hopes but what we did like more than made up for those. We also wound up splitting a burger & the cheese/charcuterie board. The cheese & charcuterie were a nice selection featuring havarti, brie, manchego, prosciutto, mortadella, genoa along with a fig jam, mustard, honey. Everything there was delicious! The burger was a bit of a letdown, though. It was made with wagyu beef & cooked to perfection but seemed a little underseasoned and had nothing other than some aioli on the brioche bread - no veggies or cheese were included. Despite that, we liked this place enough to come back & try a few more things. I'm hoping they expand their menu a bit more & dress up their burgers some. Really testy and rude manager named Alli. We were there from 8:30 pm onwards on a Sunday. She got upset about closing at 9 pm and was very short and bordering on nasty when we asked for the extremely bright lights to be dimmed or maybe one of the bright globes turned off as it was in the eyes. She got really upset and said that it was for 'safety' that they needed all the bright lights on. The two other wait staff were very friendly and competent and went the extra mile to answer our questions. We live four blocks away from this place on Harvard Ave. We came here for a calm outing which was really sour for us. Won't be returning. Attended a snowman wine glass painting class here. Treated very rudely by restaurant and host of event. I had paid for four tickets to the event and was told there wasn't enough seating. Two of our guests couldn't make it and it's a good thing because they wouldn't have been accommodated, too small of a place, plus overbooked. If not for the painting class I might have tried this restaurant, but after such a poor experience, I will not return! read more

Grafted Cellars is exactly what the Claremont Village needed: an indoor/outdoor space that serves delicious food and alcohol (yes, they also have beer!) with excellent customer service. We've been here several times now and have tried nearly all of the wines and food offerings. Haven't been disappointed yet! All of the pizzas are especially good. As of 1/29/24, the cabernet sauvignon aged in bourbon barrels is still available and something that I could order by the gallon. Delicious stuff. Both my girlfriend and our neighbor are wine club members, so we stop by weekly for their free flights--which is a heckuva deal--and I get 20% off my wines as well! Weekends are busy so be prepared to for a friendly crowd and a bit of a wait for any food that you order. But it's worth it! :) read more

We need an extra star to add to our review because I've been in there enough times since they opened and I am just blown away every time. The service staff is unbelievably nice folk and in general just all around a good vibe going on, patrons around me always seem happy, says a lot about a place. Today I went in with some friends for the new brunch, right away I was greeted as usual and we took our seat. Our mimosas were yum! refreshing, thank you Karen for my extra ice! My friends were splitting the Croque Madame, which is basically an open faced Croque Monsieur and if anybody can spot a perfect 63 degree poached egg, it's the ones on this Madame let me tell you! I haven't found a Croque Madame like this since I had one at a gastrotheque when I visited Paris, France yeears ago... and yup, bechamel, spot on velvety perfection. I just loved it, melted Gruyere, smoked ham, perfect 63 degree poached egg ... yummo! Was visiting some family and I decided to pop in to this place. I was alone and didn't want to take up a whole table (although the patio couch set up looked amazing) so I sat at the bar. Very inviting atmosphere. The decor throughout is tastefully done. Karen was the woman who greeted me and brought me a menu. So many wines to choose from! She was super nice and asked questions to kind of get my taste and suggested I try a flight. I let her select for me and she hit the nail on the head! Which didn't make it very easy to choose a glass since they were all wonderful, but I love my Rosè, so I chose the Peony Rosè. Service was great, conversation was great and I really appreciated the bartenders relaxed demeanor. I didn't feel intimidated or judged. Grafted Cellars is the perfect place for wine lovers of all levels even a beginner like me. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back for more wine and great conversation at the bar! read more

Went tonight for trivia (every Tuesday @7pm) and had a wonderful time! You could order anything on the menu and you wouldn't be disappointed. Was very excited to try this place and find a new wine tasting room. The customer service is excellent and we were greeted warmly and told to pick our seats anywhere we liked. They quickly came over and provided water and took our orders. The food was also lovely and reasonably priced, we had the bread with butter, goat cheese and pear bites and some mixed nuts. However, the main issue with this place is the taste of the wines. They are not bad but honestly just not worth the price. It is very apparent in the taste that this is a young winery as the flavor falls a little flat and lacks complexity. My wife and I walked over to Grafted Cellars last night after she got off work. Our second visit b/c we had such a nice experience our first time there, a few weeks back when they had just opened. Same really nice time because the bartender Omar is such a welcoming, personable, cool dude. We went in for a pint only, but when you're comfortable and you enjoy sitting at the bar shootin' the breeze with the bartender, you hang out a bit longer. We wound up splitting a pizza and a salad, another pint and wound up a couple hours late to a farewell party over in Laverne. The food was really good, we're mainly beer drinkers and there's a nice selection on tap. The idea is that he would be billed once a month for their discounts, tastings and a free bottle of wine for about $49 after taxes. No one informed him that he would be billed again within the week for the following month. When he explained that the website did not inform him of the billing cycle. He was told that he should be happy with the discounts that he paid for during the 10 days. When he explained that he was under the impression that he paid for a month of discounts and not just 10 days. He was told there was nothing that could be done and that the server should have explained this to him. He then canceled the membership. Now his card has been billed again. $150 in 40 days for a monthly membership! He is basically going to have to go to the bank and dispute the charge and get a new card just because of what should have been a nice birthday gift. read more

The first time that we came here, it was a great experience. We each had a flight of wines and we shared a goat cheese with pear pizza. Everything was delicious and service was great. My second time here, will most likely be my last time. The service was bad and slow. The person that I came with, ordered a wine flight and I had a glass of wine. We ordered a cheese plate to go with the wine, which took about an hour to arrive. My friend was done with his wine flight and ordered a glass of wine still waiting for the cheese plate to come. I asked for some breadsticks as we waited for the cheese plate. The waitress decides to be rude and makes a comment that she will provide the breadstick to sober me up. I had only had a half of my glass of wine, and I was not drunk nor tipsy. That rude comment was unnecessary. People who came after us, and were bigger parties, received their orders earlier. The waitress was more professional with them as well. It took close to an hour for the cheese plate to arrive. It was plopped on the table and the waitress left without checking in. We had to flag someone and informed them that they forgot to include the bread that came with the order. Once again, the sobriety dig came out. I am not sure why she was targeting me for her aggressions, but it was made clear to me that I am better off taking my business elsewhere. read more

The ambiance of the space, the beautifully cozy decorated eating area really set a welcoming tone. I'm from New York City so I know my way around a pizza and the pizzas here honestly rivaled, if not surpassed, the quality I've experienced in New York. The crust was perfectly crispy, toppings were fresh, and the flavors were impeccable. Definitely was surprised to find a place like this in a little town. Moreover, the wine selection was outstanding. For being a small mom and pop run winery, the variety offered was impressive, and extremely affordable for the quality.
