4+ Great little pizza spot located in I wanna say the Downtown Oakland area. It looks like they have a full bar here and they also sell pizza by the slice. It's one of those spots where if you blink, you might miss it because it's not huge in terms of storefront. I was on my way back to return a rental car and wanted to make a small detour to this area. I was also hungry and wanted a light, quick bite. I found this place and it was perfect. The slices are good and they're very reasonably priced. I can't speak to the bar experience, although I think people like to hang out here and have drinks as much as they liked to dine here. Native NY'er now living in the East Bay. Graffiti is one of the better pizza places I have eaten at in the Bay Area. And even better when you realize this is a chill hole in the wall pizza shop and not an overpriced yuppie pizza place. Just had some wings as well, pretty solid. Okay so it's such a disappointment that I have to write this 1 STAR REVIEW!! I'm so over ordering here and my order either being messed up or NOT READY! I've been giving them my business for over 3 years now and the fact that the turn over rate for the staff should be alarming. I've ordered using door dash and my order is still not ready even when the app says it is. I've ordered using their app and my order isn't correct or is not ready. This is a solid spot for a NY style slice, hot and fresh, in Oaktown. There's a lot of choices in the east bay for NY style pie, but Graffiti is the closest to what I've had in NY - great sauce, perfect crust. They have outdoor seating in the back. We were in Oakland for another event and decided to grab some pizza before heading back to Sacramento. Found this place and decided to give it a try since they advertised slices. I was a little disappointed when I walked inside and the only graffiti I saw was a large panel above the bar. The rest of the interior was very tastefully painted in simple colors with white molding. It made me wonder about the name until I went to restroom to wash my hands. The men's room is covered in graffiti. I'm not sure about the ladies room. Anyway, I placed my order, at the bar, for a couple slices before visiting the restroom and they were done by the time I returned. I tried their BBQ Chicken and their veggie. Both had a wonderfully somewhat thin crust that had just the right amount of char on the bottom, which adds to the flavor and give a satisfying crunch when you bite into it. The toppings were appropriate and tasted fresh, even though the slice was reheated. BBQ sauce was nicely balanced and there was a sufficient amount of toppings on them. The best part is the price was very affordable! I will definitely be back for more! read more

Beer: love the peroni. It's light, crisp, and reminds me of summer. Pizza: it's the only place to get a late night slice in downtown Oakland! The variation of toppings are kept fresh and ever-changing, I like the Hawaiian and bbq chicken. They also offer whole pies and I love the ones with ricotta on them. I decided to give Graffiti Pizza a try after being recommended it by an acquaintance. I ordered ahead on their Square site for a 6pm pickup, but didn't get any text notification that it was ready and there were no updates on the Square ordering page either, so I only went at 6:30pm to pick it up, and found that the food was ready and they'd been keeping it in a warmer for us. It can be hard to park there, almost all the spots nearby were taken up and they're mostly metered parking. Spraycation medium: Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Canadian Bacon, Pineapple, Parmesan, Oil, Oregano. It's basically a Hawaiian pizza. You can order a deluxe version of this that adds basil and jalapenos. I thought this was pretty good and am happy with the amount of cheese and pineapples on it. Phantom medium: White pie (no sauce) mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, mushrooms, red bell peppers, balsamic glaze, parmesan, oil, and oregano. It was very juicy and drippy. The ricotta was thick, which I really enjoyed. The mushrooms were also savory and I liked the cheese in general. They gave us the most parmesan cheese packets I've ever gotten at any pizza place. I thought the phantom was the standout of the two flavors but I definitely am interested in trying more of their flavors since I felt these were among the best pizzas I've had in Oakland. read more

I really hate to give a small business such a bad review. However, I went there on a Saturday night and ordered a few slices to go. The guy taking my order and I started talking Oakland politics. We disagreed on a few points but it was nothing that was a super emotionally charged subject or anything. The guy behind the counter started getting angry. By then I had my pizza and exited the store. He RAN OUT OF THE STORE and started yelling to me that I should "never f------ come back here and that I was a f------- f-----." He called me this homophobic slur several times. The weird thing is nothing we discussed had anything to do with gender or sexuality. So clearly he was choosing this word because it's in his vocabulary and designed to try to hurt others. It was quite a bizarre experience. I hope the owner reads this and deals with this person accordingly as I would hope that not everyone there is so unstable and a rampant homophobe. But I feel people should know that at least one person here may scream horrible slurs at you with little to no provocation. read more

One of my favorite pizza spots in Oakland (and there are a lot of pizza joints in Oakland) - this is my go-to spot when I'm craving non-Deep Dish. I've never had an issue ordering delivery from here and the pizza is always piping hot still when it gets to my house. I've tried a few options but my favorite is the Roll Call (minus olives) - everything is customizable. The pizza is cheesy and full of toppings and flavorful and reheats very well the next day. The extra large is GIGANTIC and will feed me for a week. read more

Came with the girls for a night out and they have a full bar! the pizza was heated pretty quickly and it was good. they have individual slices here whereas at square pie guys down the street you have to buy a whole pizza. this was recommended to us by the staff at square pie guys actually lol. Absolutely pains me to say this- as I lived so close to here but never stopped foot inside- but this might be one of the best pizza-y pizzas in the bay area. What do I mean by pizza-y pizzas? This isn't super artsy, sicilian, whatver. It is just a good pizza in the most pizza way possible (maybe that makes it a NY pizza? idk). Great crust (which traveled well via delivery), good cheese to sauce ratio, and the toppings on the Old Skool was also just the right amount. I also ordered the rice krispy, made with capn crunch, which was a fun twist. Fun little pizza spot in Oakland that offers New York style by the slice or pie. We got slices of the cheese and veggie. The cheese was pretty good and so melty and warm. The veggie had mushrooms, onion, and a dark sauce that they drizzled over the slice. Crust was a medium size - not too thin but not overly thick. I also liked that the top crust wasn't alot of bread. There are some tables inside and if you go towards the back there is a nice outdoor seating area with heaters available for the winter. Servers were friendly and food came out at a reasonable time. Would be nice to see more options and unique toppings for pizzas but overall had a good experience here. read more

Another thing is the owner is extremely disrespectful to both the staff and the customers. Had takeout. Sorry but this is not good pizza. First of all the pizza looked NOTHING like some of the photos here (esp. the slice photos). The 14" pepperoni and mushroom I ordered had super puffy crust, was under-cooked (gummy dough), and overall quality barely on par with the most basic pizza joints I generally try to avoid. Was really hoping for a new go-to and maybe I caught a really off night, but this was a huge disappointment. Cost me a hundred bucks via Doordash for 1 medium, 1 small, and 10 wings, too. Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom.....blended together on a golden oven browned crust. I paid extra for extra mozzarella, because I love molten cheese on my pizza. This pizza place earns it's "4.5-Star" Yelp rating. Now, to be honest, I did have to wait an extra 25 mins for my pizza. It wasn't ready at the set pickup time. I went outside, and a delivery driver told me everyone usually has to wait for their order. This place is in historic Old Oakland. It's near the Oakland Police HQs and the Courthouse (where you pay traffic / parking fines). So if you're in the area, drop by for pizza, sandwich or salad. So I took my pizza home, put it on my pizza pan, popped it in the oven for 5-7 mins @ 400*F ( That's why it looks a little burnt). It came out of my oven with glistening molten cheese. All those delicous toppings welded to the crust. The Old School Combo Pizza is a great pizza. I ordered a 14" medium w/ extra mozzarella. Lots of options for added toppings. read more

I even got asked how I'm doing today. That's a rare one in California right now. Now let's move onto the pizza. At opening time when I showed up I was the first person. Pizzas by the slice were ready to go in many varieties and I was surprised how fresh they looked. The ingredients and look of the pizza are high quality. I got a cheese slice and a pep slice. Both were unbelievably delicious! I was blown away. Large fresh slices at a good price. Can't beat it. Tell the owner to not charge a thing.
