I voiced that it didn't seem right that something must be wrong but the lady Paige at the desk told me "The price of oil is up". I'm a college student at MSU and they clearly just tried to screw me over. Ended up having my dad call up there because he was as enraged as I was and they ended giving me a refund over $200. Barely 1.5 years after buying a brand-new vehicle here, we have tire and alignment issues that their service department will not help us with warranty wise. We have babied this car. It is not a road issue, or we'd have this issue on any of our other vehicles and they're much older. They lie and claim things haven't been done and say Walmart sends things to carfax and it's not on the report, yet my husband showed them a reciept from there that also wasn't on it but had clearly been done. They will find simple ways to void your warranty and aren't interested in returned business. Which is great, because we will never purchase from Graff again, nor will our 3 children who are now driving, and we will share our experience with everyone and anyone who will listen both in person and on online forums. I am so sick of how unethical and predatory some companies are. They only care about money in and finding ways to keep people spending there. It comes down to principle. At this point we'd rather pay more for tires and services anywhere else than give another penny to a company who treat people like cash cows. I gain nothing from writing a bad review. I don't like trashing anyone, but I also don't want another person to fall prey to a company like this. We also just found several places that have a cheaper quote with better quality tires and warranty. So, I guess we will be paying less AND never giving this company any future business. read more

You can tell a lot about a dealership through the customer service they provide on their lower profit cars. I have a fleet vehicle that's been sitting on their lot for over two weeks (I was sent notification of when it was delivered to the dealership) and have reached out 3 times over the last two weeks to Lauren Lee to schedule delivery, and haven't even received a return call to give me an update or rough estimate of when I will be able to pick it up. I know that Fleet Leases are not very profitable for the dealer, but if they can't take care of the little guy, then don't trust them to take care of you when buying a new or used car. Whether I am outright buying a fully loaded Tahoe or leasing a Chevy Cruz - every customer should be treated the same. I won't buy from Graff and I recommend that you don't either. read more

In our opinion they have no idea how to fix electric cars. They reset codes. My husband who works at gm told them exactly what was wrong with his car and there was a recall. Nope doesn't qualify. 2200 to put battery modular in. A week later, was told main huy was gone for a week. Waited another week. Told my husband needed a new battery 30,000 laughable. He told them put his car back together picked it up. Took to chevrolet dealer in Kalmazoo who actually has mechanics that know about electric cars. 2 days later put in battery modular all goid. People be aware, very few mechanics in lansing area really know much about electric cars. You would probably be paying for a 30,000 battery and wouldn't be fixed. Buyers beware. Oh and for taking our car apart after misdiagnosed, and 2 weeks, cleared codes, charged 1100 to diagnose it wrong!!!!! read more

Back in for regular oil change/ maintenance on my Silverado in November 2020. Brian and the service crew are always on top of things. They get you right in, quote how long it will take ( accurately I might add) send you a mobile link to watch the service tech walk thru all the points of your maintenance inspection, then send a quote based on what you need and you can select what you'll have done on that visit...very user friendly. Brian always remembers me when I come in. Good local reliable service...highly recommend. read more

I went to Midas in Okemos to get my hood opened (the hood latch was jammed). They ended up causing more damage than helping and never even told me that they ripped the hood latches cable out... I then proceed to go to Graff and received EXCELLENT service. Not only did they fix the hood latch for a great price, but they also took the time to write me a note to Midas saying what they did wrong, as well as, talked to Midas after they claimed they did everything right. You hear so many bad things about dealerships and how expensive they can be but Graff is very reasonable, they care about their customers, and they know what they are doing. If you decided not to go to Graff for whatever reason DO NOT go to Midas instead. read more

My wife and I went to find a vehicle for my mother at Graff today and initially we were having a great experience. We found a used Jeep Grand Cherokee for $5500. My wife and I agreed the jeep would work perfect for her but she needed to test drive it first. I wanted to put down some money to hold the car until she could drive it the next day and told them I would do $6000 out the door. The salesman said that was fine but he didn't work that Saturday and was going to be out of town. The salesman talked to the sales manager and told us that we could get the car for $6000 out the door ($6247 was the price after tax title etc)if we put insurance on it and picked it up by tomorrow morning. If we waited til Monday the price was going to be the full $6247. This should have been the red flag that sent us running out the door, but it was doable and the Jeep was perfect for my mom. So I agreed I would go to dimondale, pick up my mother and bring her back to test drive, and then if she liked it buy it for $6000 that night. That was agreed upon by the salesman, and so that's what I did. My mother test drove the car liked it and we sat down to buy it. She called and had insurance put on the Jeep, a valet came got the keys to wash and gas up the Jeep and that's when everything fell apart. The salesman came back and said the lowest the manager would go was $6100. He also showed me some a maintenance plan that they would throw in that covered oil changes and tire rotations so I would feel better about the extra $100. Problem was I knew the plan already came with the Jeep because it's stated on their website. I also told him I was only paying $6000 because that is what I had agreed to before I had left. He talked to the sales manager again, came back with $6100. My advice to anyone buying a vehicle from this business is don't. Run fast and far because someone there flat out lied to me and obviously honesty is not a part of the graff deal. read more

I bought a used vehicle from them over a week ago and have yet to take delivery I was promised to get the exhaust repaired and engine light that was on repaired along with having the interior detailed and a extra key made and a owners manual provided.As of yet I was told that the tailpipe has been repaired but the other issues should be ready on Monday.A full ten days from time of purchase,but At this point I find it hard to believe that it will be ready.I never should have paid for it until it was completely repaired.Why would they put a vehicle out for sale that wasn't ready to be sold? I feel like I should get a rental for the time that I've been held up and have them pay for it I must say that everyone at the dealership has been polite and courteous but getting them motivated to do something is another issue.All I want is for them to do is what they said Well I finally picked it up they said that it was ready but it wasn't.The "detail" clean up looks like it was wiped down and the carpet was still filthy.It looked pretty good on the outside.The extra key didn't fit and the manual consisted of a brick of photo copies in a Manila folder,real nice! Easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I worked with Wyatt Earp and he was honest, straightforward and friendly. I will definitely be referring my friends and family to work with him for their next car purchase! This is the only time that I have purchased a car and had the salesperson come out to the car with me after all the papers were signed, and show me all the different features, setup the bluetooth, on-star account and the apps that work with the car. Had an apt to simply get my tires swapped to winter tires. Apt took 2 hours which seems excessive for a simple tire swap and I was charged 17 dollars in misc. supplies. However, it took calling the store manager after the service manager basically said tough luck and offered no other resolution. I had some car repair work needed to my Chevy van and took it there after getting a $700 estimate elsewhere for repairs. On a Tuesday afternoon, they were busy, but I was directed to someone who said she would send a technician out to look at my vehicle. On the way out to look at it, I asked if there would be a charge, and was told it would cost $96.00 for an estimate. That was too much, but enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere. I can see why they would not want to be bothered with people who just want free estimates, but if their price was lower, I would certainly have done business with them! While they were pleasant to deal with, if they're charging this much for just an estimate, how much are they going to charge me for the real work.? I guess I'll never know, because it's highly unlikely that I'll ever go back... Nice looking dealership (from the outside) but probably not the best deal around. When it's time to spend real money on a new van... I'm sure I'll not even consider Graff Chevrolet in Okemos MI. read more

Twice I have had issues with Graff's service department. Last September I took my Saturn Vue in for recall work- the keys would come out of the ignition when driving; I had to bring it back again because the keys still came out and I was told "the part was bad from the factory". Two weeks ago, I took the same Vue in for a wheel issue. They diagnosed the drive shaft was bad and causing the noise. We paid $1200 to fix it, was called and after they called and said after they repaired it, they accidentally broke something else, and would need it a few more days. Finally, I received a voicemail, stating the Vue was "back on the road and quiet as a mouse". Mice squeak, so did the Vue. Worse than before. I took it back and after waiting a week for the diagnostic tool to arrive, we were told it now needed another $1600 in repairs. Two visits, both became numerous visits, peppered with lies. Find a better service department, one that is trustworthy. read more

Absolutely terrible! I purchased a 2010 Chevy Traverse in October 2015 and had it serviced in January 2016 because it shut down on me at a gas station and wouldn't start up again. They replaced the fuse box and charged me $1,100. This time I brought it in for the same problem it shutting down on me while driving and both times it says service traction control (the first time I brought it in it said this and the second time I brought it in it said this). They wanted to charge me another $500 to fix a part on my breaks. Why should I pay more money when the same problem has not been fixed. Service traction control should not come on when my fuse box needs to be replaced or my breaks. It should light up on my dash service breaks or service engine. Both times we brought the car in they failed to tell us that they got it started again BEFORE doing any service to the car. I did not let them touch the car this time and DROVE IT OFF THE LOT to my car repare shop I can TRUST in my hometown. We researched the issue and have found a great deal of their customers having the same issue. We even found it is a recall on 2014 Traverses. We are further investigating the previous work done on our car and are testing the old parts with a lawyer on standby. It's a shame that we purchased a car through the dealership to feel mor comfortable with making such a big purchase and ended up being taken advantage of and extremely disappointed with our services. I made an appointment to get my oil changed at 9:00. I made sure that my Acadia Denali was there at 8:50. My two small children (ages 5 and 3) and I went to the waiting lounge and waited an hour and a half for a simple oil change. That is all that I asked for, that's all that was provided. I watched five other customers come and go before my car was finished. My car was there first, and I left last. After the ninety minutes of waiting the very nice waiting room attendant went out to ask how my car was coming. She came back to report that it was almost done and that they were currently printing the paperwork. Next time I will have to go somewhere faster than that. When I inquired about the wait I was given an excuse that "someone with a 9:30 appointment came in at five after nine, so we took care of them first." To which I replied "I was here at five minutes before nine." It was certainly a one star experience, and I was disappointed with the time frame which ended up being 96 minutes. read more

I took my Impala in to see about trading it in and they took it for a spin to assess it's value. Long story short, there was an accident and my car was totaled. They were very apologetic and I wasn't upset, it was an accident. I was offered $6,500 on a trade if I just signed it over right then and there which was about right for trade-in value but not what the car was worth. I declined because I'm not the idiot they thought I was. I ended up getting $10,000 from the insurance company. It doesn't sit well with me that they destroyed my car, and still tried to take me for $3,500. And, only offered money toward a trade which they would have made a ton more money on. I was very unimpressed with the integrity of the sales team. I give them 1 star because I got $10,000 back on a car I bought for $11,900, 3 years prior (from Courtesy). Watch out for there tricky way of doing trade-ins where they will come at you with a payment price and try to skip what the are actually giving you for your trade-in. Shop around, I did before I went there and am glad I did, I have been to at least 5 different dealers to compare trade-in prices and they came in $3000 less than my best offer all the other offers were within $1000 of each other. I took my vehicle in for a repair to the collision shop. I was told at the appointment that it would be a 7 business day repair. However as the 5th business day came and went and there was no contact from the dealership on the status of the repair I called for one. At that time I was informed that it would be closer to the end of the week for the repairs to be finished. I relented and waited. As this time drew near, I had not heard anything from the dealership again. So I called and then was told that there was a second claim that had come in for the vehicle. This was not the case. There was a second claim on my policy but that was on our second vehicle. I was understandably upset but due to the fact that the 'other claim' was already in progress I could do nothing. I then contacted the insurance company who informed me that they would contact the dealership and inform them that there is only two claims one per vehicle on the policy. The adjuster then called me back and informed me that they (Graff) would have to be responsible for the repair and that I was not responsible for the deductible. So after more than two weeks I finally got my vehicle back, and at the time of pick-up I was asked if I would like to take care of the deductible for the 'second' claim. I informed them that I would if the insurance company informed me that I needed to but would let Graff and the Insurance company figure it out. Overall, the experiences that I have had with this dealership have been positive. However, this experience has made me question if it is the right dealership to use in the future. It is not a convenient shop to get to and the collision shop in particular is way out of my way. I would not recommend them at all. read more

As a newbie to the area - I had no bias going into the service center here. However, after a number of hiccups in their service delivery, I will NOT be returning. Issue #1 - an additional $52 charge on an area that is included in the 27 point inspection during my oil change and as I tried to dispute the amount they answered very "matter of fact" you said you were concerned about your breaks - I was - which is why I was anticipating an update on my 27 pt inspection??? , Issue #2 - I call Matt, the service manager, to explain the situation and how his competitors stated they would not have charged me the additional $52 so what was he willing to do about this mishap? He stated he would remove the charge off my debit card (because he was off site when the charge took place) and I check my bank account only to find he takes off $45 (which should have been $52, so this means I just spent $50 for an oil change?? -I was no longer surprised at his staffs hiccups if their manager couldn't get it right, Issue #3 - the young man working on my car checked off that he reset my "change oil sign" on the completed oil change form, only to notice after driving away (initially not paying attention because I was still upset about my extra $52 charge and needed to get back to work because the oil change took 1hr 15 min and I had a scheduled appt) the light then comes back on as if I needed an oil change! And while I know how to reset the system myself - the point is I PAID FOR THE SERVICE and he stated he did the work - and checked it off on my document. As a quality improvement consultant -there are a number of opportunities for improvement just from my visit alone. Issue #4, They also found over $1,000 worth of work needed after I just had this car serviced inside and out not even 3 months ago and it checked out fine?? I'm so thankful for the woman who answered the phone at Feldman Chevrolet down the street in E. Lansing for answering my questions about charges and if they would have done the same - her response "absolutely not, come down here and we'll show you great customer service" - I am on my way!! My phone experience with her was far better than my in person experience at Graff. A potential new customer lost. read more

I bought a used 2012 Equinox, August of 2014 I bought the Equinox with 37,354 miles on it. I was told I would have a peace of MIND for 2 years. Well.. let me break it down and tell EVERYONE HOW GRAFF CHEVROLET pretty much took advantage of a first time buyer. When I purchased the Equinox I was offered an extended warranty. When your making a purchase typically your figure well the vehicle is not that old I should still have factory warranty. Well that is not the case I was never told or even given a paper stating that the Equinox no longer had factory warranty(BUMPER TO BUMPER). The warranty expired at 36,000 miles, NOW my outer tie rod has gone bad. I go back so I can have PEACE OF MIND and come to find out they will not cover anything Peace of MIND is only for OIL changes. NOW that I am demanding to see a document with my signature stating i accepted the Equinox with no factory warranty(BUMPER TO BUMPER). WELL... yea i never signed a document like that. All they state is that my vehicle has warranty just not BUMPER to BUMPER. I Spoke to GM and they are also giving me the run around. I have attempted to see if I could find DEALERSHIP OWNER information and none can be FOUND. OH and to put the icing on the cake!! The dealer who sold me the vehicle NO LONGER WORKS there! imagine that.. SO now further action will be taken in the matter but I hope my experience an help other first time buyers and also give light to the issue of factory and extended warranties. read more
