Had them change out a part that bigger commercial places wouldn't do for me unless they replaced the rest of the suspension components too. I'm in school and was quoted prices such as $3,000. I bought all the components for around $200 necessary for the job, but didn't have the ability to do one part. The guys were nice here. They even offer discounts for students. I am a first time customer and I dropped car off and received same day service. Overall, very impressed! Not only were my concerns addressed, but you could tell they looked at the vehicle in its entirety. Costs and options were effectively communicated and services promptly performed - despite it being "Thanksgiving Eve". I just called in to get a quote on an auto repair for my 2015 Chevrolet Volt and I basically got laughed at by whoever answered the phone. The customer service here is garbage. I mean, who laughs at a customer ready and willing to spend money at their establishment? Sound like a bad business model to me! Even if this particular establishment does not work on my model of vehicle, the response could have been handled much better than "I've never worked on a Volt before and I don't think now is the time to start experimenting with one" I will never recommend anyone comes to this auto repair facility and if I could give this place zero stars I would! read more

I recently had the great fortune to find this place. Bottom line is that I would absolutely trust them with my car again. They were incredibly friendly, easy to work with, and saved me a bunch of money. I don't know cars well, but the issues were explained in a very understandable way without making me feel talked down to. Here's specifically what happened: I had recently gotten my oil changed elsewhere and the place that did it was so careless that they pulled a part out of my engine block, causing my car to leak both oil and coolant and overheat. When I took it back there, they quoted me a repair of over $700 with nearly a week before they could get the parts. I took the car to B's Randall on recommendation of a friend instead. They discovered what had happened, were able to un-bend the damaged part and put it back properly. All told it cost under $100 and was done about 6 hours after I dropped it off. I had told B's about the other place's estimate and they absolutely could have taken advantage of me, but they didn't. Instead, they cared enough to find out what was really going wrong, knowledgeable enough to fix it, and honest enough to do so even though they could have told me I needed to have significantly costlier work done. read more

My daughter, an MSU student, was driving back to school when her older model Yukon started to shake. The engine light started flashing, and a no traction/stability warning light came on. My daughter goes to MSU and she uses my truck while at school. She called me late a couple of nights ago that the truck died on the side of the road. I got the truck back to her house on campus that night. I am from the Detroit metro area and did not know any shops in the area. I did a Yelp search and found B's based on the reviews. Brian was extremely helpful. I got the truck towed to his shop and he did the job the same day. He also kept the truck overnight until I could get up to Lansing to pick up the truck. The pricing was very reasonable. It is was great to work with someone like Brian long distance; he was very friendly on the phone and made me feel at ease trusting him with working on my truck without meeting him in person. Craig and Jason are the best! I made an appt. on-line; when I arrived they got me in right away. I had front brakes done; they checked the rears and told me I didn't them right away, that they'd check them again next time I came in for service. I also had them check the radiator fluids in case it needed to be flushed; again, they checked and said it was fine for now, but they'd check next time I came in. This is a very honest and skilled shop! I am so glad to have found them. My family has used them for about four years for maybe seven issues, plus numerous oil changes. The prices are the best in town as far as I have been able to compare, and I also check their prices with my auto mechanic friend from a town nearby and he says they are spot on for low profit margin and good quality. They are upfront and quick, will tell you if they think the issue really needs to be addressed or if it can wait, and they will not charge you for checking it out initially to see what the problem is if you can't figure it out on your own. read more
