Second time was to replace an automatic window mechanism which had stopped working. They were $100 more than a different mechanic but I trusted them. Third time involved 3 stages. I was out of town and my pet sitter was instructed to start my car every few days. The car wouldn't start a week into my trip. When I got home I called Tim's. Josh came out, said it was the battery and they charged $50 for the home visit and $80 for the battery. Within a week it would not start. Josh came put with a new battery upgrade and this time it was $50 for the home visit and apparently $100 for the battery. Within a couple of days, car would not start. I had it hauled in to Tim's and the diagnosis was that the inside overhead light was left on. That was $100 for all the running around. I asked for receipts for the 3 interventions and I got the runaround for two weeks from "the cash girl". Next week, next week, next week was the runaround. I never got receipts, and I gave up which sadly I think was their goal. I trusted them and got burned. They might not do this to other people but I would never trust them again. Very sad. So I was born and raised in Mason and very familiar with The Back Room repair shop. I was…read moresurprised to find that they had never been reviewed especially since they have been there for years. I moved to Virginia in 2004. Well I came to town for hunting season and to visit family. Started my truck and a gauge was showing I had a problem. My oil pressure was maxed out. I didn't want to drive it because it could damage the motor, so I had it towed to The Back Room. Upon arrival they noticed I had Virginia tags. They immediately got to work on my truck. They called me within two hours after it arrived on the tow truck. He advised that he had already diagnosed the problem and went ahead and made the repairs. The service they provided was outstanding and I have never had a repair shop so attentive to a vehicle as they were mine today. The truck arrived around 11-1130 am and at 150 I got the call it was done! Now the price was a concern because I was traveling and it was money to be taken away from vacation money. When he quoted me the bill I was floored. The price was more than fair and honestly I had expected to pay a lot more. My truck is running great and I am extremely happy with the service I received. The technicians were extremely friendly and helpful. Whether you're a local or traveling and need your vehicle fixed The Back Room is your go to spot!
