I booked with Bel for my mani and pedi, again!!! She's an absolute pro and great conversationalist! She's meticulous, takes her time and definitely has an eye for detail. My nail look amazing and exactly what I wanted. I had the deluxe pedi and tried the mani hardgel for the first time and I'm sold! I also got my brows waxed by Vina, and I'm impressed by her knowledge. She didn't just wax my brows and off I went; she actually explained my hair growth patterns based on my waxing history. Never had that before!! It was informative to know how my brows are growing back and gave me clarity on how to better manage my waxing needs from here on out. Whaaaat!!! Who does that?! Vina does! I've mentioned it before, Gradient Nails is top-tier services! The salon is nice, clean, modern and great anesthetic to help you enjoy and relax. And, the AC...its ACing!! so bring a sweater! My home for nails and waxing!
I always recommend them! Everyone does an amazing job. Its relaxing and clean. They have amazing coffee you can order as well. Got an ombre nails for the first time and it turned out beautiful.
I love coming here!!!! The people are always nice. Service is always great 10/10 recommend. I usually call to schedule my appointment and then they'll confirm via text message text. Ive been to their old location which was great but parking was sometimes a challenge. However, i always found parking since I usually book my appt at the end of the day so parking is usually free! Now at their new location I was able to find parking right away. But not sure if it's always like that. Street parking is 2 hour free parking so that's good. I usually like to get the Royal deluxe with the fruity scrub. All the scrubs are good here tbh, just whatever you're in the mood for. It's always poppin in here though! Super crazy busy so I'm glad I was able to get an appointment when it's not too busy but the customers keep coming so that's good to see. Their new location is much much bigger and spacious, I love it! Their pedicure chairs are really nice though, super fancy!! The owner is really nice! Very down to earth and very accommodating. They make you feel very welcomed. Also, love the light fixture. I think that's my favorite thing in this place haha! Also they sell coffee which is prettt cool 10/10 recommend, will come back for sure! I told them I have to be on the reoccurring schedule because these feet need some love!
Just wanted to update my review because Gradient Nail has moved to a bigger and better location! It is roomier and nice clean feel which creates a more relaxing atmosphere. Restrooms are now located in the salon rather in another part of the building. This location has parking too! My daughter and I visited on a Saturday mid-day and there was lots of spaces to choose from.
If you're looking for a nail salon that consistently delivers, this place is it. Jenny did my manicure and she is incredible meticulous, quick, but consistent. Bella handled my pedicure and it was just as amazing. She's thorough, relaxing, and makes the whole experience feel like an actual treat instead of just maintenance. My toes look perfect and my feet feel brand new. Also, the new location is fantastic!! clean, bright, and such a comfortable atmosphere. Everything feels fresh and elevated. Between the beautiful new space and the quality of service from Jenny and Bella, this is easily one of the best nail experiences I've had. Highly recommend booking with them if you want nails that look amazing. $$ is worth it! Booking is a bit different than what I'm used to. They don't have an online portal to book but it's because they like to have all the specifics of what you'd like prior to you booking! Which for me is a bit humbug for me but they have techs that specialize in certain things.
Whether you're in Hawaii for vacation or you're a local. I cannot recommend this nail salon enough!!! I got a very simple hard gel manicure and it was amazing. The nail technician Prati was so meticulous with every step. I feel like she took great care to be gentle and create a relaxing environment. My hands felt so pretty and clean afterwards. I didn't get a design, and chose a simple gel color but everything exceeded expectations in the best ways.
This is my first time at this location. This shop just changed locations about 7 days ago. I wouldn't have known if they didn't tell me. Seems they have a great system going. Family owned. I'm dip power girly but I was encouraged to try the builder gel. Kim did my nails so wonderful. I love when I can allow the technician to do as she pleases and they come out wonderful. I feel it makes the customer and the technician comfortable. I mean they are the professional I just say what I like and I'll take their suggestions so long as they suit me and they in fact did! Whenever I'm in town I have to come back to see Kim!
I had the BEST experience at Gradient Nail in Hawaii and I just had to share. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed. Lily (the owner!) did my pedicure, and I didn't even realize she was the owner until the end because she was just so humble and sweet. She greeted me with the warmest smile, was incredibly polite, and was so attentive to my entire experience. You can truly tell she cares about her clients. Diane did my nails and I am OBSESSED. I usually stick to short gel manicures and play it safe, but for Valentine's Day I wanted something a little different. I told her I wanted longer nails but hate when they look thick. She suggested Gel-X and let me tell you -- these nails are strong, thin, and PERFECT. Exactly what I like. I almost went with my usual light pink, but Diane encouraged me to go bold with red for Valentine's Day -- and I'm so glad she did. The cat-eye gel she used is absolutely stunning. It glistens in the light and has this gorgeous 3D, glittery red effect that shifts depending on how the light hits it. She even surprised me with a beautiful heart design on my ring finger. I was so happy! I've been clicking and clacking ever since Valentine's Day. I also have to shout out Elaine at the front desk -- she is SUCH a vibe. So funny, so welcoming, and full of personality. She immediately knew who I was (my boyfriend made the appointment) even though it was my first time there. She made me feel like a regular and even signed me up for their rewards system. And she actually helped me choose my toe color! I initially planned on doing red on my toes too, but I noticed her Alpine white pedicure and it looked SO clean and beautiful. I complimented her on it, and she helped me decide to go with that same crisp white instead. I'm so glad I did -- it came out perfect. Little moments like that made the experience feel personal and fun. The vibe here is unmatched. It honestly feels like the female version of a really good barbershop -- great energy, great people, and top-tier quality. I live in LA and I'm telling you, I haven't had a better nail experience than this. That says a lot. I usually stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village when I visit and have tried salons nearby in the past (since I'm not local), and I haven't always had great experiences. This time, my boyfriend -- who is local -- booked me here for Valentine's Day, and I'm so glad he did. I will absolutely be a repeat customer every time I'm in town. Ladies, 100% -- just go here. You will not regret it.

Hiiii it's Lo! Shout out to my girls Diana with the best shaping, Lyn for her designs, and Lily and her sister for the great vibes. Their new location is beautiful and a great upgrade. The staff will always make sure you're comfortable. They even have blankets if you get cold in the air conditioned building. They now offer drinks!!! They always have done complimentary bottles of water, but they now offer vietnamese iced coffee and other bottled drinks. I always look forward coming in to unwind after working long weeks. A little pricey but happy to do it every time because I know it will last. I will always be a loyal customer. Thank you all for everything you do Gradient Nail.
Very clean and new facility. I was so excited to have a new spot for nails nearby. Unfortunately, the attention to detail was lacking. I asked for round and got flat shapes. There were pieces of skin that could have been trimmed and weren't. And the ends of the nails were a little rough and unpolished. I'll just post a few photos. For the cost, I was really hoping for something more pro.

Im not sure what happened to my last updated review, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I stopped going to this salon because they have many inexperienced nail techs. One of them over-filed my nails to the point where they were paper-thin and painfully sensitive. It seems like they have a lot of new technicians who may not be fully trained, so if you book a last-minute appointment, there's a high chance you'll get someone with less experience. After my painful experience here, I decided not to return - I'm honestly too nervous about going through that discomfort again. read more

I made an appointment at Gradient Nail for fills with Gel on my hands and a Gel pedicure. Let me start by saying I was greeted as I entered the the door by Kim, one of the owners. I was directed to sit and select a color for my nails and offered a bottle of water. I didn't have long to wait as Kim was ready. I noticed her technique and product knowlege was exceptional as evidenced by the selection of nail polishes and examples of nail art and nail jewelry. I chose Orly 73 color for both hands and feet. My pedicure, I chose "Royal, which was the be all and the end all of pedi services. My technician, Ruby, was very thorough. The "Royal" included the usual pedi services but with the most aromatic exfoliants and lotions...your choice of course from a variety of selections (Eucalyptus, Jasmine, Ocean, Citrus, and etc). Callus removal, although extra, was followed by foot, ankle and leg massage. Hot lava rocks and hot towel wraps completed the service. To say I was pampered and relaxed was an understatement!. Will I go back? You bet! read more

Best nail salon I've been to! Everyone is really friendly and take care of you as soon as you walk in. They know you by name after the first visit! Lily and the rest of the staff are super personable and easy to talk to. I felt like I've been coming to the salon for years! The service is something I haven't experienced at any other salon! A few of my nails popped off cause she forgot to apply the base, but she took accountability, warned me it would happen and told me to call as soon as it did. Lily was able to squeeze me in, accommodate my schedule, and fix them, free of charge! The nails turned out better than I imagined. I'm a loyal client now and rave about Gradient Nail any time I get compliments on my nails. read more
Shoutout to Kim for accommodating me with a few hours notice. I called in the morning, and she booked me a few hours later that afternoon. She even called me when she had an earlier cancellation, which I appreciated! I needed a fill and wanted an ombrè French design that Diana executed perfectly. I was seated immediately and offered water upon arrival. Nails turned out beautiful! Diana was so efficient. The fill was done in less than an hour. Will be back here if I ever need to get my nails in Honolulu again. read more

This salon was recommended to me by a friend. Came in with a reservation on a Saturday, and was seated right away. The place was packed! My nail technician was very detail oriented and attentive. I got a gel manicure which looked amazing. Even after three weeks there were no chips, bubbling, or anything like that. I could have definitely worn them in for a lot longer! Back in October I went to Gradient Nails with a couple of friends. Kim did an AMAZING job with my manicure! From filling in a dip in one of my nails to a hand massage... best service I've ever received. Definitely recommend! read more
This was my first time getting my nails done and it was a really good experience. I was so nervous beforehand but my nails came out exactly the way I wanted! It was a little difficult at first because you need to know exactly what you want to make the appointment, which makes sense so they can schedule the right people and amount of time for you. For someone who only has a photo and doesn't know what they want, it's a little harder. So I had to do my research first. They are very busy but that just shows what a good job they do. I just wanted polish but had to get gel because I wanted chrome on top. I got white gel polish with white chrome and 2 coats of hard gel on top, with oval shape. It started a couple days ago and I needed to do my nails at short notice I called left a message, and was promptly called back within one minute. Jen was really attentive to my requests on what I wanted to do . I was all over the place on choices. She assured me that if I sent her pictures on what I wanted, they could accommodate. If there was a 10 star review, I would give it just that. I have been going to this salon for years now and always get way more than I imagined possible . I don't come in like a regular customer, but when I do, they always remember me and are very attentive to my needs. There's no rush feeling or pressure to do something that I don't want. Everything is what I want. And yes I'm a bit needy. Lol. During This appointment I did have a pedicure and a manicure. Originally, I found this salon on YouTube with great reviews and when I went in the first time, I got Mia. I super love her way. She has such patience, takes pride in her work with attention to detail and full of happiness. It's super fun that everyone there has a great working relationship. Of course I don't speak Vietnamese, but I did get in some lessons. It is heartwarming when the other salon family complement each other's work. Want to mention Cindy for my awesome pedicure. I'm sure she seen worse. And was concerned about my toe that was struck by the wondering hammer. Excellent job! It's like brand new!! All the time!! read more

I made an appointment for a mani and pedi for my wedding. It's been a while since I've pampered myself so I decided to splurge a bit. My appointment was first made with the Deluxe Pedi and Deluxe Mani but when I walked in for my appointment, I asked if I could get the Royal Pedi and Mani. If you decide to upgrade your appointment, you should call ahead or ask prior to sitting with your nail tech to ensure they are able to accommodate your request. Not all have the availability or maybe skill set. I was fortunate to have my appointment upgraded at the last minute. First up was my pedicure. I already had some ideas in mind and when I showed Mia, she took off with it and also suggested a touch that gave it the elegant look that I was looking for. She took such great care of my request and always made sure I was comfortable with my treatment. Then came my manicure. I asked for a similar design and ended up with a French ombré hard gel. In addition to the treatment, the work and attention to color matching made by Alex was out of this world! The price matched well to the service, quality, and design received. Parking lot is on Keeaumoku St but entrance to the salon is on Rycroft St. The service and care for their clients is simply remarkable and I'm definitely going back! I'm still receiving compliments for work from 2 weeks ago. read more

This was honestly one of the best nail salons I have ever been to. I'm not from HI but was here for my wedding and found them through Yelp. I was definitely not disappointed! Right from the beginning they were very accommodating and honest with my specific requests. To start, I was over 30 min early for my appointment since I was not sure of location and traffic and was prepared to wait. Even though they were busy they were able to take me early. My manicure technician, Diane, was very thorough and meticulous with my nails. I had been on the fence of Gel X extensions vs. acrylics vs. dip. I ended up getting acrylics and was very happy that I did. Diane put up with my evolving requests and gave me the most beautiful set of nails ever. Linh did my pedicure and even though it was the "basic" pedicure I received a thorough leg and foot scrub. I would definitely recommend Gradient Nails! read more

My husband is actually the person who recommended we come here, based on the already 5-Stars Gradient Nails had. We were in town and we had some time to finally squeeze in our pedicures. So we wanted someone for the same day. He gave them a call and YAYHOO, they were able to put in the both of us in a couple of hours. Perfect! We requested for someone who had could give a nice leg/ foot massage, the lady on the other line, assured us that she had the right persons in mind. When we arrived it was still pretty strict with their COVID Guidelines. Ring the doorbell and they'll greet you at the door. Now, the door isn't locked and you can go in to check in. You will need to wash your hands at their sink after you check-in. They separated chairs with clear curtains and placed plastic barriers for manis. They also will wipe down the pedicure stations after each person. My go to person is Vina and she is amazing with massages and giving a nice gel pedicure. She cleans and shapes my nails nicely! The last time I visited, I had her do my gel mani since my usual girl went on vacation. I was not disappointed. Nicely shaped and she took a lot of care in cleaning my cuticles and painting. I'm so happy with them! So YES, the person who answered our call, gave us the "right person" for what we were looking for. Pros: They refill the pedicure hot water in the basin, so the water doesn't get cold. Amazing massages - My husband is thrilled too Pleasant phone etiquette - Can't tell you how important that is! My friend and I just got our nails done by Lyn and Lily. I cannot rave about this place enough. The quality of the nails are amazing! For the first time, my nails stayed on for 3 1/2 weeks with no lift or any problems. Most importantly, it is such a positive vibe and they don't push to try and upsell anything. They actually care about what you want and give the best advice. I now highly recommend this to all of my friends and I only go to this place now. My nails never looked so good and never lasted so long. Highly recommend, you won't regret it! read more
The BEST place to treat yourself!! The only thing I'm able to do is a Pedicure with Hawaii restaurant law requiring to wear gloves it kills my nails so I take care of my feet and I LOVE getting pedicures. BAM! Holidays are here and I have to bling bling it out it's one thing that gets me excited to do my nails all in glitter. Long story short it got totally ruined sob!!! Came across here though Yelp and loved what I saw an insanely busy place that did proper COVID protocol. Waited outside as I saw Angie who managed the front taking care of several clients dashing in and out and got to me and was speechless looking at my toes lol!!! What a sweetheart I explained my situation then she went over several options and if I was okay with..uuuhh YES! Luckily they could squeeze me in with Mia my savior and had no idea what happened but listened to what I wanted and came up with the solution. Upon agreement they're completely transparent and gives you a ticket pricing for each service so there's no surprise in cost which I love. Here's a tip that tip is Venmo or cash only so please have some on hand to take care of them which I wasn't prepared but will do so tomorrow. Mia took her time perfecting it all and was so amazing as closing time of 8pm approached (I felt horrible) asked it I wanted more glitter...awww!!! After my review yesterday, I got a phone call today from the actual owner of Gradient nail . This gentleman was so humble and sincere ! He was apologetic for his employees actions regarding the upselling. After 10 minutes on the phone with him, I upped my star rating an additional *.* I would hope I would handle a call as good in my business as this gentleman did ! If you're looking for a new nail tech Jenny is your girl! Her Instagram is @jenny808_nails I have been going to Gradient Nails for a few years now and have been seeing Jenny for some time. I have been through it all with her whether it was regular nail polish, gel nails, simple color or design. Jenny is very efficient and amazing at what she does. Every reference photo I've shown her she's been able to do it even better on your nails. Not only are the designs great, but she also cleans, cut and files the nails to your liking. If you're someone that's more picky with the shape of your nails you do not have to worry with Jenny she nails it every time. I really do feel like she cares about the integrity of the nails which is vital especially if you do your nails often. If you're looking for longevity she'll recommend different products that may help with that as well. I am someone that wants my nails to LAST and my nails DO NOT chip in the slightest. I know how hard it can be to find a nail tech you trust because I was once in the same position looking on yelp and reading reviews. I found Jenny through this exact process. I saw so many great reviews with her name and I have to say she really does exceed in every way. If you're second guessing DON'T you'll have a great experience with Jenny. Side note: I have always used my real nails for every service I've gone to with Jenny. My coworkers and friends are always so surprised that they aren't acrylics. read more

The person I had to have today was not good. I selected a white base color that had a HINT of iridescent glitter. During the process I said "it's too silver with a lot of silver glitter, is it going to be whiter!" She said yes. Nope, walked out with disco balls on my nails. read more

Posting another review because Jenny is just that good. I got these nails done on July 13, these pics were taken on August 15! Not only is her talent amazing and she does the most gorgeous nails every time, but the quality of them is unmatched and the fact that I can go over a month and they aren't chipped, scratched, nothing, is insane! So sad I moved away this month, it's going to be impossible to find another Jenny in CA after 2 years of going to her. read more
I had a great experience as a first time guest at Gradient Nail. I was nervous to try a new salon, as the one I usually go to closes early at 5p due to COVID. I wanted an appointment after work, so I looked at Yelp and found what I think is the only 5 star nail salon in town - Gradient Nail! Luckily, they were able to accommodate my appointment that evening at 5p for a regular gel polish manicure. I usually only get manicures for special events like weddings. This time was a little different - my husband and I will be soon welcoming a baby into our lives and I wanted to treat myself to something nice after making it through the dreadful first trimester of pregnancy! I was impressed with the COVID restrictions they had in place. I could not freely enter the salon. The receptionist came out to get me and took my temperature and then sprayed my hands with alcohol. I then entered the salon and had to wash my hands in the sink. Afterwards, I was greeted my nail artist, Amy. She was quiet, but efficient and has a great eye for detail. I was able to pick a beautiful light pink gel polish. They have so many colors to choose from! She got to work right away cleaning up my nail beds, filing, and even used the electric buffer on my nails. They feel so smooth now! She painted a base coat, 3 color coats and a top coat on my nails. At first I thought she may have forgotten the hand massage portion, but to my surprise, it came after my nails dried. It was so nice to have that extra touch of pampering! I really enjoyed it was able to relax. The quality of the manicure is very good. I even saw a sign that if something goes wrong with your gel manicure within 10 days, you can call them and they will fix it. Wow! Never heard of that before! I'm glad I brought cash to tip, because apparently you cannot tip on card. Phew! My total without tip including tax was $43. Pricey, but worth the service and quality! I look forward to coming back here in the future, maybe getting some designs or a pedicure. read more

I see Tiffany every 3 weeks for Royal pedicure. She's so gentle, and very detailed to attention! She's also great in massaging and I love that she takes her time in making sure the shape of my nails are perfect. It's hard to come across a nail tech that's very ocd about the nail shape. I love that Gradient nails closes late, cause with my busy working schedule it's hard to come early or mid day so I like that I come after work. Love the newly renovated salon, and the massage chairs are comfy! They're very clean and organized as well, not like some other salons I've been to. read more
My friend recommended I come here to get my birthday nails done. I made a 12pm mani pedi appointment for the Monday before my birthday. When I got there, they had me sit on a chair and wait for the technician to come and do my toes. I sat there for almost 30 minutes before someone finally showed up. Pedi- I chose the deluxe pedi and added the $5 callus removal. It was a mediocre pedi. My feet massage was more like rubbing, no pressure or anything. My callus removal, I'm not sure what they removed, but is it possible to have your feet come out more rough than when you went in? The older lady also cut into my toe during the cuticle removal which really stung once I stuck my feet back into the water (still stings a week later). The only thing I really enjoyed was the hot towel and water temperature. Mani- for some reason, they gave me a second technician for my mani? She was another older lady, but was very nice. I showed her a picture of what I wanted- a simple design with glitter tips. She got the design pretty spot on and the color does look nice, but for what I paid, I don't think this was worth $82 for the design I wanted. In total, I paid $20 for the deposit, then $132 at the counter for a total of $152 (not including the 20% tip). Pricey for the what I wanted and the service was just ok. They didn't really talk to me or anything. Just silently did their work which I didn't really mind. I'm not sure I would be back because I think I can get a fancier design elsewhere for the same price. read more

Been coming here off and on but one thing i know is that no matter who does my nails they do an awesome job! Def a little pricey but it shows in the quality of work they put out! Def will always come back! Recently i have been seeing TANNER and shes the sweetest! Does an excellent job! I have had recently started getting ingrowns and with her help i feel its getting better! Alex did my nails and he did a good job considering hasn't had any problems like another place I went in town. My pedicure was just okay not as good. I paid 130.00 total for removing my nails that had gel x, tips for a broken nail. It just look back without the polish to cover the look of my nails. My girl had my nails looking bad without anything on them bad. From the last time and I told Alex to remove everting and start over. He asked if I wanted to kelp my nails. I told him yes. The pedicure was someone I cannot remember her name. She was alittle rude at first not a 5 star rating. I asked to file my one toe nail she added 10.00 for doing that and then just Sanded the toe slightly and told me she couldn't it so alot. Wow that is what they do back at the other place and doesn't charge me. My nails on my toes look pretty beat up and I haven't done much to make them bad. This is a nice place and Alex was great my pedicure was not as good as I expected for 5 stars place. I gave her a good tip and she was much nicer. Did I look like I wouldn't tip or what? Plus they spoke their language alittle more than I prefer. read more
