Possibly the best pedicure I've ever gotten! It was $34 for the basic pedicure with regular polish. I called and was able to get an appointment right away with Mimi. She did a great job, taking her time massaging my feet and calves (and my god, the woman is GOOD). She also took her time and did the polish carefully. When she helped my put my shoes on, my big toe smudged a little, and she redid it with no hesitation, and I didn't even have to ask. 10/10 would recommend it here. read more

With that said, I don't have a good idea of what to expect at a nail salon and I've read many reviews of places before I decide to go anywhere. After much thought, I decided to take a chance and come here, thanks to Yelp. Each time I came here were all different experiences and I've been helped by different technicians each time. They're all nice and knowledgeable about what they're doing but I felt that there was a major language barrier for some of their employees. But it's all good, there's others who can interpret and I see the efforts in trying to communicate. They offer water too, either cold or room temp. I made appointments each time and on the day if they'll call you to confirm. They get busy really quickly and they offer to come earlier when there's a slot opening. The prices aren't steep and they do a real good job of caring for the customers. There prices are super reasonable. I got a acrylic full set and with design, it was nice and affordable. Fills are also reasonable. Their pedicures are great and they give you tips to better hygiene yourself. I think her name was Kim, she told me something was wrong with my toe nail beds so I'd have to be careful of which nail polishes I use because I might be allergic. I outweighed the good and the bad, the good was weighed heavier. I currently have a gel manicure and I'm in awe with the color. I don't give nail salons 5 stars usually but I was in desperate need of a manicure since my nail broke while on vacation. Normally I get my nails done before I leave but my nails did not last a few days. I called and was told they had time to take me for an appt, the place is pretty clean and friendly and all the mani stations are prepared to do gel and nail art if you want. It didn't take a lot of convincing for me to decide if I wanted a gel mani, I got it and the process was pretty quick and smooth. They opened a new set of instruments and right away started on my gel mani. She did not overdo it with my cuticles and made sure my nails were the right length and shape. They have a huge color selection so you will not be disappointed. They also play shows on their tv so you won't get bored while you get your mani done. I was done in about 35 mins which was faster than I had anticipated but they did such a great job with the mani I really don't mind coming back here in the future. Pricing was competitive to what I normally see at most other salons that can do gel really well. And the nail color lasted about 3.5 weeks before I got it removed! Gradient nail will be my forever go to spot. I know I should make an appointment which is HIGHLY recommended because this place gets busy. They do except walk ins but it is BEST to make an appointment to guarantee you will be taken in. They are very to their policy which I love. Walk ins welcomed but they do honor their appointments first. They are located across the street of YogurStory and right next to The Pagoda Hotel. Easy to miss but easy to find if you know your landmarks. Their door is right next door to Soo Gong Dong (Sp?!) and same building as LikeLike Drive Inn. They do have a private parking lot for that building or you can find metered street parking. Alex is my man! He never disappoints me when he does my nails. He listens to what you want and he makes sure that it's done the way you want it done. I'm very plain and simple when it comes to my nails. But I am always happy with them. I got my second pedicure this visit and I was very happy with Diana. I had gel polish and changed it to regular polish since I'm not consistent with my pedi's, and she painted them exactly like how I would. She cleaned up my nails and my cuticles nicely, scrubbed and massages my feet and legs great. Although I am faithful to my nail artist who has been doing my nails for almost eight years, I am a bit of a nail tech slut when it comes to pedicure places, always testing out new locations until I found the "perfect fit." After "sleeping around" a bit with the nail salons, and at the recommendation of a Yelp friend, I made an appointment with Gradient Nails for a pedicure. As a new customer, I was asked to make a credit card deposit to hold my appointment with the understanding that the deposit would be applied to my cost of services. I was also texted information regarding their COVID-19 policies and received a reminder text the day of my appointment. Upon arrival, you ring the doorbell and the receptionist will greet you, take your temperature and sanitize your hands. Upon entering the salon, you will be asked to wash your hands and escorted to your pedicure chair. All pedicure stations are separated by rolling partitions ensuring your neighbor isn't sharing cooties with you. All pedicure chairs are massage chairs and disposable liners are used for each client. I've been seeing Mia now for several months, and I really do think she's "the one" as it pertains to pedicures and my salon hopping days are over. Mia is friendly and does an amazing job with great attention to detail. My big toes are prone to ingrowns, and after proper nail cutting and cuticle care, I no longer find myself wanting to cut my toes off. If you're looking for a clean, COVID conscious salon, Gradient Nail is definitely a place worth checking out, especially for a pedicure. Although I do not get my nails done here, I have seen the work they do on other customers and their nails look great too. Gradient also offers waxing services as well if you're needing your brows, etc. done too. Prices are reasonable and on par with others in the area and they offer a rewards program. They have a dedicated receptionist which is a big deal on its own. They have really good customer service and the salon always feels clean. They're doing pretty good on social distancing and making you wash your hands, temperature check, etc. But the reason I keep coming to town from the country is hands down, pun intended, their GEL POLISH IS DA BOMB!!!!!!! Kim is the most amazing nail technician ever. I don't know if you know this. But from the three times I've been here, I've been treated like one of the homies or something. They know what to do and they do things to perfection. I'm writing this as I'm doing the royal pedicure which I just switched up to from deluxe because TREAT YOURSELF!!! Kim graciously was able to switch me because of the schedule today. Lily is amazing as well, as she helps to make you feel at home and welcome! Okay back to the to royal pedicure. I did not know how many extra things you can do to your feet to make it feel like a queen. There are so many amazing things they are doing; hot stone massage, paraffin wax, hot towel, sugar scrub, it seems like there is no end. I felt like after just the sugar rub I was set but when she put that extra virgin olive oil on me (inside joke) (get the royal pedicure if you wanna know what the joke is), I felt like I was in heaven. There are so many steps in the royal, but trust me, it's all worth is. I've gotten acrylic nails here twice. For some reason, I'm never satisfied with other salons because they never do your nails to make it look amazing. They do your nails the standard way they do everyone else's. But I have crooked fingers. She made my nails look amazing in all the ways you could look at a hand. My fill was just as amazing, she was able to shorten my nails and change the shape. I went from coffin to almond. Listen to your nail tech's opinion!!! This is my go to. This is the place I refer all my friends to when they ask. She has strong hands and always makes sure youre ok, if shes too strong, if the water is too hot. She has always been amazing with mani's and this was my first pedi with her! The nail techs here are soooo talented and the products they use are so legit! Every time I get gel nails they last maybe 3 weeks before cracking or peeling. I've even gone to overpriced salons where my nails only lasted like a week before they started breaking. But both times I got my nails done here, just a regular gel manicure the gel polish lasted sooooo long before the first nailpolish would start to loosen. Most recently I got my nails done in February and since covid19 had everything closed I wasn't able to get them redone. BUT it is now June and though my nails have grown out and I've cut them, only 1 of my 10 gel polishes have loosen and I peeled it off. &this was just two weeks ago. The rest are still intact. I have been going to another salon on island for a bit but they haven't been doing the best job, so today I decided to give gradient a try! I believe my nail techs name was Mia, she did an AMAZING job! I had to have my old set removed and I've never had a removal be so painless! She took her time to make sure my nails came off right, and routinely checked on me to make sure I was doing okay and that nothing hurt! Great salon! I called ahead to make an appointment for 2 pedis, and they were able to accommodate :) Salon is clean--they use a disposable clear wrap for the pedi sink that you stick your feet in, which is good. Got my pedi from Sarah and loved it! She took her time and my red color turned out amazing. I do wish that the leg massage was harder, but I was happy with the way that the nail color turned out so it was ok lol. Parking is located in the same complex as the salon which is convenient, and the bathroom is located on the second floor, in which you have to ride an elevator that is little slow (and creepy), but it was ok. Also, there was a drunk guy outside the salon, but the employees called security right away and they took care of it, which is good that they handled it immediately. I went there 20 min early and they were able to take me in for my eyebrow wax which the lady who did it was very nice and she definitely did a great job (haha), I was very Happy with my brows. So there were a little hiccups that kind of made me not give them 5 stars but i still liked my experience. When I got out of my eyebrow wax, they directed me to one chair then moved me again then again. I kind of felt like I was playing musical chairs. Once I finally was settled. I got my Mani and pedi at the same time which I thought was awesome! It was all very efficient (haha). There were so many different gel nail colors to choose from. I wanted a glittery pink and it took me awhile to find one that I liked. The deluxe pedi was omg so great! I loved it, my feet needed some TLC and my feet felt so soft after! After I left, I noticed that one of my nails was a little off and has a rough edge that annoyed me so when I came home, I cut it a bit but its hard to cut gel nails. I got a gel manicure and before she even started she said the price very respectfully before hand. Service: If you couldn't tell already I am so impressed. The owner and entire staff genuinely greeted us as we walked in. They introduce themselves to you before just grabbing your hand. They ask you if you'd like any water (temperature or cold) and the manners her are impeccable. Before they ask you about certain things they say "I'm sorry for interrupting but would you like me.....ect" . They are super clean here. June 20th, I got a full set done and was really satisfied with how my nails came out. Very very very happy. However, 9 days later.. I was opening my cabinet, not hard at all, and my nail chipped off. Just came right off. I've done acrylic many times before and never had this happen. My sister and I made appointments for mani pedis for a weekday afternoon. The salon was festively decorated for Halloween and very busy but we were greeted right away, offered bottled waters, and seated quickly by friendly faces all around. The aroma therapy was relaxing and the salon was clean with sterilized tools. Our pedicure technicians Julia and Angela were both very nice and the calf massages were great. My manicurist Amy seemed like she was newer to the trade and worked more slowly than the other staff, but she was very sweet and did a great job on my cuticles and forearm massage in particular.
