What a fixture of our community!!! I've been here many times, but I stopped in after a run and was dismayed to find that they were closed. Someone inside was so kind and gave us ice cream anyway. Love this place and the people who work there!!

Big fan of Gracie's! I'd been to Earnest Drinks in the Kendall Square area before, which actually serves ice cream from Gracie's, so I knew it must be legit. The benefit of Earnest is that they have much more seating and the vibes are cooler, but Gracie's does the trick too! I actually went to Gracie's right after Somerville Porchfest, so it was pretty busy, but I don't think it's usually that hectic. Since it was so crowded, we didn't bother to stick around and just took our ice cream to go. My favorite part about this place is the interesting flavors. Go for the pandan, which has a nice nuttiness to it. I would recommend!

Fluff cone! (Rushed home to eat it with my friend because it was literally like 30F out there and raining)

Honestly top notch ice cream!! My friend and I both got the fluff cone and it's honestly so delicious. This place is a local gem :)

Staff is very friendly and for 8 bucks you get two giant scoops of homemade ice cream. I got the fruity pebbles and some green ice cream that tastes like nutty vanilla. And they have a cone they dip in fluff and caramelize it with a torch. Pretty cool. Def recommended. I'll come here again

Top notch ice cream! I had the heath cookies and cream on a sugar cone and I would have no issues eating that every night. At these prices you could too. For a local ice cream shop in the neighborhood they could back their prices up but they don't. It was like$10 for 2 mediums... I thought he'd only rung up one. The staff was friendly and helpful and they have really cool designs for their merch. I particularly liked the one that looked like the old op ivy image.

Picked up this pint in the hotel lobby freezer and omg...it was absolutely incredible! This cornbread flavor was the perfect balance of salty and sweet and I could not stop eating it! They had so many flavors too, I wish I could try them all!

    Black razz & matcha

We got a small matcha and black razz Oreo reeses. Considering it was a small for 2 scoops, it was smaller than what I was expecting. The black razz was had a hint of berry which I really liked. It complimented the oreo well. As for the Reese's, it came in chunks or reeses pieces. The matcha on the other hand was light and creamy one, I think it went well with the tart berry flavor!!! They also give free sugar and wafer cones for free. Would definitely come back again!!

People were saying how light the flavor was. Which I can see why they say that. But to be honest, I didn't see it as a bad thing. It wasn't too rich, which is what I like. What I've cream and their flavors are too rich, it leaves a weird after taste in the mouth. So I appreciated this place and their ice cream lightness. I would love to come back . Just wish it wasn't crazy busy!

    Kiddie scoop ube
    Della S.

As other reviews have mentioned, the ice cream here isn't too sweet and is very creamy! They have kiddie scoops for $3.85, small scoops for $4.85, and large scoops for $5.85. Kiddie scoops are limited to one flavor but you can get 2 flavors if you order a small or large. Due to COVID precautions, you place your order online then check in at the window when you arrive so that they can scoop your ice cream for you. We got a kiddie scoop of the ube and a kiddie scoop of the broreo. I thought the broreo would be something like a brownie oreo but it turned out to be a berry oreo (maybe blueberry or blackberry?). Both flavors were really yummy and I appreciated that the ube wasn't a bright neon purple color. I'm definitely looking into getting their pints delivered so that I don't have to venture out to Union Square for their awesome ice cream. The ice cream is a little melty so you should ask for a napkin when you get your order!

Gracie's is my go to ice cream spot in the Union square area. The kiddie scoop is a great size for the price and portion is perfect for one person. I LOVEEE the coffee cold brew flavor! You order online and notify the person at the window of your order. The staff has been really nice when I've visited and has answered all my questions of what the flavors are. Pro-tip: check the flavors before you go, they rotate and often sell out. Still waiting to be able to try the Ube and Pandan flavors, so catch them while you can.

We came here for the first time tonight. Based on other reviewers, we tried the Cookie Dough and the fluff cone and the Raspberry ice cream. They were pretty good, better than most other ice cream places here. The inside is still closed because of covid but they have an exterior pick up window so place your order ahead of time on ordergracies.com. We brought our pup and they were nice enough to give him a pup cup with some whipped cream. I will say though, I didn't love the political stances they were taking with all the window signage. Can't we keep politics out of ice cream outings?

Whenever I'm visiting Bow Market, I always drop in to Gracie's Ice Cream. The ice cream itself is more on the soft side, which I prefer. It's creamy and sweet. They have a flavor board of "always" flavors and "sometimes" flavors. The "always" flavors are a few common flavors that people know. The "sometimes" flavors are a bit crazier and change frequently due to the small batch churning. The updated flavors are listed on the Instagram page @graciesflavors almost daily. Honestly, I love that and it bumps up my review rating automatically. I love the crazy "sometimes" flavors that are offered at the shop. Their website holds their full flavor list, and they are still thinking of new creations! One of my favorites "sometimes" flavors is Pandan. It's a crowd favorite and comes back often. Recently they started to make Ube and it always sells out quickly. I was actually able to catch it one time and got a pint to go. Another perk? They have a loyalty card that after the tenth visit, you get a free cone or A PINT. I saved that card for that ube! And of course being in the heart of Somerville, they offer fluff cones. A fun treat! Absolutely a must stop ice cream shop!

This one didn't have a long line that I knew their North End location would certainly be marked by. On our first visit, we tried a plain cannoli to have a baseline of what to expect. We also tried a pistachio macaron. On the second visit, we tried a red velvet whoopie pie and a pistachio cannoli. The cannoli's are fire. The shell is thick, crispy and they hold up. They're stuffed with sweet creamy ricotta. It's a perfect pairing of soft cream and a hard shell. This location had a few bar seats available at the window and against the wall. There's a huge window of sweet treats on display. I definitely recommend visiting, try a cannoli and get something to go. They have everything from lobster tails to Boston cream pie. I think it would take someone with a lot of will power to come here and walk out without getting something.

Mike's Pastry in Cambridge brings the famous North End bakery experience to Harvard Square, making…read moreit easy to enjoy their iconic pastries without heading into downtown Boston. Located on Dunster Street, the shop is designed for efficiency, with a straightforward layout that keeps the line moving even during busy hours. There are a few counter seats inside, but it's primarily a grab-and-go destination where most people leave carrying one of the bakery's signature string-tied pastry boxes. The cannolis are the main reason to visit, and they certainly live up to their reputation in terms of size. The classic chocolate chip cannoli is generously filled from end to end with a rich, sweet ricotta cream, while the crisp shell provides just the right amount of crunch. If you're looking for something a little different, the Florentine cannoli is an excellent choice. Its honey-nut shell adds an extra layer of texture and a subtle caramelized flavor that pairs beautifully with the creamy filling. Beyond the cannolis, the bakery offers an impressive selection of Italian pastries, cookies, cakes, and other desserts. The lobster tails are another popular option, with flaky layers surrounding a rich cream filling, and the display cases are filled with enough variety to make it difficult to choose just one item. Prices are a bit higher than your average neighborhood bakery, but the portions are generous enough that many pastries can easily be shared. Service is quick and efficient, with staff focused on keeping the line moving throughout the day. Since seating is limited, it's worth taking your pastries to nearby Harvard Yard or the Charles River, where you can enjoy them at a more relaxed pace. Mike's Pastry may be best known for its North End flagship, but the Cambridge location delivers the same oversized cannolis and classic Italian desserts in a much more convenient setting. Whether you're craving the original chocolate chip cannoli or one of their many other pastries, it's an easy stop whenever you're spending time around Harvard Square.
