Sally was mindful of how stressful my move was since the first agency didn't show up, and she stayed in contact with me throughout the day to provide updates about the team's eta. The movers were professional and super quick. They communicated clearly about fees, expectations for the move and arrival time at the new location, and they worked hard to get the move done quickly, all while taking great care of my furniture. Grace Moving helped us move my mother's belongings out of her senior assisted living apartment on short notice. We are in the middle of our move currently and it's been a great process so far. Clear communication, friendly people, reasonable prices and efficient crew! The first day we had Joe and his son Jeff packing up our 2,000 sq ft home after living here for 16 years. We have acquired a lot of stuff! They plowed through as much as they could with the time we had them booked for and were super courteous the whole time. They even brought over our patio furniture after their shift so we could enjoy it at the new house! Today at 9 am they came back with two more helpful muscle men, Billy and Richard. Once they got the info on the house they were on their way with wrapping, boxing, loading, moving and packing the van up with ease and care. DON'T EXPECT THEM TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE THEY CAUSE. We used Grace Moving Company one year ago to move everything out of our home into a POD. They caused damage to a relatively new washer. I thought I was in good hands because the mover immediately called his office to let them know what had happened and they promised me that they would take care of it. They finally showed up after over 6 months (after I contacted them multiple times) to replace the part but lo and behold it was the wrong color. Here we are a year out and they still have not replace the part. Not only that but over a month ago I got a text message from one of their employees letting me know that they were going to come out and change it only to then get another message that they wouldn't make it because their employee had been hurt. So, they set up another date. Not a shock when they didn't show up, nor have they contacted me since. It's such a shame because I would've given them five stars, had they followed through with the repair to the damage they caused. read more

Great job moving my stuff!!! Raul, Will, Brandon and Stan helped us move out, stored our stuff at their storage for over a month and then helped us move in.. We rescheduled a couple of times for the move in and the company call center was patient and helped us change schedules that fit our needs. July 2024 we hired this company based on the initial assessment and advertised services. This company assured me that they would unpack and upon nearing the final day of the job, I'm advised that they only 'unpack open table'. When I questioned that, they said "that they unpack each box in every room and leave the items in center of room on table, or otherwise. During initial interview I was assured that unpacking into cabinets and the like would be done. The movers were not in the frame of mind to complete this aspect of the job. This has been and will continue to be a nightmare for us while I unpack, lift, and move the boxes around. Some boxes contain items from different rooms as well. A very nice matching table was dropped and broken. The person who 'fixed' it showed me his gorilla glue stating" best stuff ever. " He left it leaning against a wall. We have no idea if it is fixed, nor can we lift it. All of this incredible experience and they didn't even clear out the old house, of which a week later I'm still moving. A few movers did stay over for several hours alleging more time needed to move, but as I found burnt cigarette butts, empty drink cans, and fast food bags on the floor, it looked more like a way to earn extra money versus more to pack as the other movers were commenting on same re: overtime policy. Our cost $12k to Grace Moving . Please don't get caught into this situation. Moving is difficult enough, but this was a nightmare that keeps on giving. read more

I know this is long but the best part is at the end... We recently sold my parents' home out of state and moved many of the contents to the Bay Area. Grace moving was contracted out by Bekins to manage the last leg of the move. Clay, the coordinator and dispatcher was communicative and on point regarding arrival day, approximate time, and particulars. Henry, the lead on the truck, called as they were en route to give a specific time window and they arrived right on time. The truck had to be unloaded at the bottom of our steep driveway and I never heard the guys complain although it was a hot day and their lives just got more difficult. They did a preliminary walkthrough of where furniture and boxes were going, wrapped every doorway that they'd be walking through, and rolled out floor coverings to protect our floors. Each box arrived in our house in great condition and our furniture was treated with respect and care. We had a highly valuable and irreplaceable grandfather's clock that was crated for the move. Henry asked if we'd like them to uncrate it. Yes, please. They uncrated it in the driveway and carefully placed the pieces in our living room on a moving blanket for later reassembly as requested by me. I asked them to take the crate with them as I had no need for it. Long story short, between travel and job changes, my husband wasn't able to assemble the clock until last Thursday (a month after delivery) when he discovered the pendulum was missing. This IS A DISASTER!! Not only does it devalue the clock by having a serious part not be original, but having a new one remade is going to be a journey. Visions of the crate getting thrown into the dump with the pendulum inside kept me awake. I honestly had no hope that the crate was in a storage warehouse somewhere or that the pendulum was randomly found but the owner was unknown because it was seperated from the crate and all identifying numbers. I called the moving company in Idaho that crated and packed the clock and I was assured by the owner that he was part of building the crate and packing the clock as he knew of its value amd he described the box that was made for the pendulum and how it was packed in the crate with the clock. I called Grace Moving Company and spoke with Lura in the office. She promised to investigate and get back to me. Because I couldn't wait, I called the next morning, Friday, I called again to get an update and spoke to Clay. Clay commiserated and agreed it was a needle in the haystack situation but promised to get in touch with Henry ASAP and start form there. Half an hour later I got a call from Clay. THEY FOUND IT!!!! OMG OMG OMG! Hyperventilating! AMAZING news! Happy Dance! It was shipped to me today and I'm thrilled. Thanks to everyone's care in our move and determination in correcting an accident. Wow, after 29 moves this move with Seniors on the Move was the best experience so far. They showed up on time, loaded all my stuff quickly, nice polite men with a sense of humor. When they unload they were just as careful as can be, asking where I would like each item. It was hotter then heck the day I moved plus I was moving to an upstairs apartment. I just wanted to rave about Daniel and Anthony. They moved my mom, a 90 years young woman, on 12/29/14. They were professional, friendly, and exuded confidence. Although our best estimate was 6 hours, when the men arrived I had not completed packing for my mom. We have used moving van companies five times in our lives. Last week, we hired Seniors on the Move to relocate to an assisted living facility in Oakland. We have never worked with a more responsive, friendly, and competent moving company. We received their estimate within 24 hours of our submitting a list of the items we wanted to move, and the estimate was very reasonable. On the day of the move, four staff packed us up very efficiently, arrived at our new apartment right on time, and patiently placed the furniture exactly where we wanted it. We needed to find a moving company to move are things we called seniors on the move to help us move .When they showed up they had two movers but we needed 3 so they called another mover and for the extra mover it cost more money per hr we were fine with that. Because of there 5 star review at first the movers were fine when they were loading our stuff in there truck to bring to our new home. When they arrived at are new home they were very sloppy they damaged things and I came upon when I arrived at the home one of the workers was about to go thru a box of our things .I contacted the owner the same day to let him know about the damaged things he came out a few days later to look at our damaged stuff and after I spoke to him by phone he said said that he could give us a credit of one hour of service it cost more than one hour. service to replace our things .When you spend over 7 hundred dollars to move I expect better results from this company. We never use them again or recommend them either to any one else .the owner said because we didn't take out there insurance this was the result I never signed any thing about not taking the insurance for our stuff. I hope this owner reads this review and makes things right so the next person doesn't go through what we did. read more

We used Seniors on the Move yesterday. My husband and I are not seniors but saw their great reviews and thought we would give them a try. From scheduling, to estimating to actual move the whole process was seamless. We have never used movers before and after this experience will only use Seniors on the Move. We dealt with Felicia for the estimate and she was both knowledgeable and efficient and quoted us a very reasonable rate. Alex and his crew were there on time on our move date and didn't stop working the whole time. They were extremely polite, patient and respectable of our time and belongings.
