Larry (who has been moving pianos for 36 years) moved my Steinway up in Angels Camp, and I have to say it was an experience to watch it be moved so effortlessly! He answered his phone within a couple of rings, gave a great bid, worked with our schedule, showed up on time, and moved our piano down the stairs in less than 45 minutes. I am grateful that he made the trip up here and took such great care of my piano (my livelihood). read more

Whereas my last mover bid higher, were only in Lodi two days a week, and would tell me the night before the move if they would arrive during a four hour window in the AM or PM, Larry scheduled a specific date and time with me. He arrived on the dot. The last time my great grandmother's 1879 upright which weighs at least 800 lbs, was moved, it took 3 guys. I felt bad when I saw it was just him like maybe I should have provided more information on what kind of upright we were dealing with, but he made it look easy and handled the piano with great care. I wanted to watch the whole operation but didn't want to make him nervous haha. Then, after the move was completed, he played it a bit and revealed that it had been muted, for who knows how long, and showed me where the mute slide was. I then got to hear its full voice for maybe the first time ever. Amazing. Sadly our new home flooded the following week and we had to move the piano a little for the mitigation and will probably need to move it around some more for renovations but at least we know who to call if we need help. Thank you Larry! read more

Larry did an incredible job moving my baby grand piano about two months ago. Even with the passage of time, I'm still so impressed by his work. He handled the entire move on his own and was perfectly on time. His service, attitude, and pricing were all excellent, but most importantly, he was extremely careful and paid close attention to every detail to ensure the piano was protected. I highly recommend him for any piano moving needs! read more

So, if you are lucky, you don't need a piano mover very often. And that's why it's important to find just the right one. I was surprised at how many moving companies claim to move pianos, as if it was just another piece of furniture. I have a 1900 Steinway and Sons grand piano. It was a short move but it was important that I got someone that really understood a piano like mine, and knew specifically how to move it. Larry was my guy. He's amazing. He's extremely knowledgeable, knows pianos, and takes the utmost care. (His method is pretty ingenious too!) My piano is my baby. My baby got to her new home safely. Thank you! Highest recommendation. read more

Excellent, efficient and friendly service. Would definitely use again in the future, thanks Larry!

When I moved my baby grand piano to my new house, it took four large moving men to lift it up in order to place floor protectors under each leg. Larry moved it 20 feet by himself with no damage to the floors. Not sure I would have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes. Worth every penny of his quite reasonable fee. Great working with Larry. He was very professional and the piano arrive perfectly. Prices are very fair.

I was looking for someone to help transport my baby grand from San Jose to Union City and Larry gave the most competitive quote at $385. He was also kind enough to transport a Queen mattress for me at no additional cost. My parents initially had some misgivings when Larry pulled up alone in his unmarked white trailer van, but they quickly acknowledged he knew what he was about once they watched him start to work. Larry expertly took the piano apart and wrapped each piece meticulously in protective blankets. He had the entire piano dismantled and safely loaded into the van in a matter of minutes -- ALL BY HIMSELF. (Even my Asian father was very impressed when Larry effortlessly maneuvered the piano body over the door threshold.) My piano is now beautifully situated in its (and our) new home. I would highly recommend Larry for all of your piano moving needs. One small thing -- I didn't have the heart to ask him to remove his shoes in my home because I figured it would be a pain in the butt to be constantly taking his shoes on/off while moving heavy pieces back and forth . If it really bothers you, maybe lay down some protective lining ahead of time. read more

Larry is the best. He and Gary worked together to move my Steinway Model B around tight corners and down a couple steps. They were conscientious about not letting the piano get damaged. You can tell that Larry is very experienced - knows his pianos down to how much each brand/model weighs. His price is very reasonable and he's fun to talk with. Highly recommend. read more

Larry called me up when he was running late to ensure me he is not turning around when he caught a huge traffic backup due to bridge closure. It would have been heartbreaking for us. He also moved the piano with utmost care. Now my 84 yr old sister is playingher favorite pieces from Richard Clayderman. read more

This is a one year overdue review, but by reading multiple recent reviews, clearly Larry's service has continued to be impeccable. :) About a year ago, Larry moved a big grand piano from my parent's house in the Bay all the way to the Sacramento region where I live. It was unexpectedly on a really rainy day with a lot of traffic, and he did such a great job bringing my piano to me safely -- I'm still really grateful! I'm a piano performance major and grew up practicing on this piano for years, so I care a lot about this piano. I did every research possible to make sure I hired the right person who cares about their services and work. Larry was AMAZING. He really does care and enjoy what he does. If you decide to hire Larry, I highly suggest chatting it up with him and hearing his story about how he came to work in this industry! My dad told me how much he enjoyed talking to Larry about music when he came up to pick up the piano. Larry and I also had a great conversation as he was putting the piano together and setting everything up in my living room. He has the secret sauce for turning this into a one-man job somehow. I cannot recommend him enough. (In fact, I already recommended him to two of my sister-in-laws who live in the Bay.) And you honestly cannot beat his pricing. I hope you're doing well, Larry! Thanks for all you do. read more
