They took my car on March 22 and I got a diagnosis. I had them work on it, I got my car back one week later. It ran great for a day then the light came back on. I dropped it off on Sunday April 2 and called them the following morning to let them know that it was not running again. They did another diagnostic and called and told me that it was going to $1701 to fix. I called back a day later and okayed the work to be done. One, they never told me what that 1701 was going to fix and second, I was never given a time frame. I called once a week for 3 weeks and talked to Doug; all I got was they were sick, they were short staffed and my car was next. I still had no idea what was actually wrong with my car. I ended up calling on Monday April 24 and letting them know that I got my car an appointment at another place and I will be picking it up. All that I got in reply was "OK." My dad picked it up and all they did was hand him the key. Not a word from no body. No answers. So, my car is getting fixed by another shop, and guess what? It needs a new transmission. The work they did had nothing to do with what was actually wrong with the car. I am beyond frustrated, because I have been without my vehicle for going a month and a half. If it was properly diagnosed and fixed, I would be happy customer.

I went there to have an unusual noise checked out. I felt that paying him, $90, for his time and effort was a good decision. As it turns out.....NOT a good decision at all! He diagnosed the noise as the flywheel between the engine and transmission needing to be replaced. In addition, he also listed his needed repairs that were unrelated to my concern. They were axles, steering linkage and suspension parts, and an oil change. He gave an estimate of $3,086 for the cited repairs and I just had the oil changed 1 month ago. I was not told that he would be publicizing my vehicle's VIN and the cited repairs online for anyone (including car dealers) with access to Car-fax to see. When you go to trade in your car or truck after Dale Stroebel gives you an estimate, even if he does not do any work on your car, this information will be published! He told me this after the fact, and after I had visited a car dealership. There was no up front disclosure regarding his use of the information that he gleaned by inspecting my car.
