The reason for the 3 stars has nothing to do with the food & everything to do with the service. My husband & I arrived today at 4 pm & were the only people on the restaurant side of this facility. We were seated immediately, handed menus & were asked for our drink order. We both ordered water, to start, and proceeded to peruse the menu. The water was delivered immediately & we were asked if we needed a few more minutes to decide. We asked for a few more minutes & this is where the service fell apart. Two more couples followed by a third couple came in and we were left twiddling our thumbs......ready to order appetizers, drinks & entrees....for about 10 more minutes. When someone finally decided to come back to our table, these other two tables had already recieved their drinks & had placed their orders. I ordered a bottled beer which was delivered rapidly, but I was never offered as much as "did you want another". Our water glasses were never refilled nor were we asked if we wanted them refilled. Our salads came out, then our entrees......um where's our appetizers?? The person who delivered the entrees said he didn't have any entree order for us to which the waitress (oh there you are......can I get.....wait, come back.....) promptly arrived & said " didn't I write down lettuce wraps?" and followed this guy back to the kitchen. My husband manages to flag down the young man who sat us to tell him we'd take egg rolls over the lettuce wraps since by this time we were halfway through with our meals. He says he'll check & comes back a few minutes later to tell us the lettuce wraps were being plated & would be served immediately.......10 minutes later. We were never offered soy sauce or such, our water glasses were never refilled, I was never asked if I'd like another beer nor were we asked how our meals were. For these reasons alone I am not very happy with this place. Now.....because of the food we will definitely return!! The salads served with our meals was fanastic!! I got teriyaki chicken, my husband or ordered BBQ chicken (asked first for BBQ pork but they were out of pork.....smh) and both were very good!! The presentation of both entrees & the salads made the meals that more delicious!! The lettuce wraps, when they finally arrived, were hot & plentful!! We will definitely give this restaurant another try, hopefully next time the service will be as up to par as the food is!! read more

This restaurant had the best sushi I've had in long time! Wow! The salmon was amazing! Scallop sushi melted in my mouth! And they had ono! Yum! Service was friendly and fast! I will definitely be going back! read more

This is a fun place with great food and two personalities. Sit on the left side by the bar for fun and lively Thai and sushi, or sit on the right side for a much more quiet setting. I like the raw fish appetizers, curry dishes, and may of the other Thai specialties. My wife loves the coconut ice cream with fried bananas for dessert. read more

I love Grapow! Their food is always hot and delicious. The only problem I have is the service, it's usually pretty slow and I suggest avoiding Friday night in general unless you'd like to wait over an hour for a table.if you sit by the bar the service is much faster. But the side by the entrance is much more intimate and quiet. My go to is their shrimp grapow noodle! Literally the best drunken noodles ever. My boyfriend had a chicken coconut curry rice plate (I'm not sure what it was called) but he had the spice level at 5 and it was too spicy to eat lol. We always come back so I recommend it to anyone looking for a Thai joint. read more

I'm pretty skeptical of any ethnic restaurant out here in the IE. Not to sound too snobbish but I love good food!! This place blew me away when I first walked in the doors with the "Hellos\How are you\Any where you want to sit. My skepticism deepen after the pleasant welcome. The first meal I tried was the Gra Pow Beef with Fired Egg. GTF out of here, it was great!! You can tell they put real effort and some real good quality spices in their meals. After coming here for a while, it has become place where the dinners are outstanding and a place where i have a good lunch (I like the Pho noodle) or after work with have a Beer (Tsing Tao or Kirin) with a generous portion appetizer (5 Bucks HH menu). The prices are very reasonable for the equality of food. $13.00 for a dinner is a bargain not to argue about, let alone 5 Dollar appetizer for HH. read more

The food is great here but the wait time for the food is too long! Do not come here for lunch if you have time restraints, because you will wait a while to be seated, then you will wait longer for your food and when your ready to go. you will wait long for your waitress to bring you the check. All this amounts to waiting too long!! read more

We have been looking for a Thai restaurant since moving to Moreno Valley. We tried several other restaurants but none was what we expected. Then we tried this place and found that the food was great. The service is OK depending on who served you. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Even dinning outside was good. They have the patio heaters which keep you warm. I usually try to order different items on the menu and have not been disappointed. So far I haven't had any complaints with the food. There is plenty of parking and even on crowded days the wait isn't long. The prices are comparable to other Thai restaurants. I do recommend you try this restaurant. read more

If you like Thai food you have to try this place. They make a good different style of red curry, and a good ground garlic chicken. I need to try this place again. read more

Gra Pow - Thai Near Me - Riverside, California

Im giving a three mainly because the server was kind. However, my experience was memorable, and not in a good way. I went in to order take out and waited ONE HOUR to get my food. The shrimp in the pad thai and in the tom kha gong was dry. The only thing that was good was the chicken curry. I will definitely not order take out again. The probability of going back is quite minimal read more

Been here a few times now figured I would give it a review. I enjoyed the food as usual. The Tom Yum soup hit the spot. The pad Thai was flavorful and the pad see ew was delicious. Definitely coming back. Aey was our server he was chill too. read more

!Sushi only, sushi cheff is never overworked and the food speaks for it's self. Favorite spot

Ok, let me say this when writing a review about a restaurant let your star rating reflect the food first and foremost giving a 1 star rating and proceeding it with the food is excellent makes you seem incompetent. This was my second and my friends first visit. We found the food delicious, timely, and properly prepared. Our server was attentive but when asked about portion sizes she was not able to tell us in ounces. A little frustrating but not a deal breaker. We came at lunch it was busy but not over crowded. The interior was clean and pleasant. Overall it was a wonderful experience! read more

This my favorite place in town..great food, very good selection on beer from local to imports ..the staff is all really cool ..

I used to really like this place, but today has drastically changed my views. We waited to get put in our booth, because it had to be cleaned . When we finally got placed the table top was still sticky and dirty. I ordered the pad Thai and to be perfectly honest it was far from the best. Plus the servers where more concerned with socializing with the people at the bar then they were about maybe checking in. At the end my patience was wearing thin and I was feeling upset. I asked for my check and when I was prepared to pay no one was to be found. I waited for like 10 minutes, and my hands were pretty full too with my little sister and baby boy. I ended up having to bring my sister and son in the bar section just to find someone so I could pay. I definitely won't be coming back here to eat again. read more

Great thai food. The sushi could use some work. The tom yum was likely the best dish we ordered. Hot and spicy! read more

Had lunch at Grapow today. Delicious pad thai. Mayra is an awesome bartender. She's very attentive and always had my glass full. I'll keep coming back! read more

9/19/17 - Any of the other dozens of times I've eating here the service and food have been outstanding. Today was a different story. I met my mom and 1 yr old for lunch thinking I'd be in and out in 45 minutes like every other time. Boy was I wrong. It took over an hour for our food (ordered off of the lunch menu) and made me 20 minutes late getting back to work. I'm 6 months pregnant and got to eat a salad and some crispy noodles for lunch. Not the most filling meal. The gentleman dressed in business attire that were seated next to us, 30 minutes after we arrived, received their food within 15 minutes and I got to watch them eat while I was told over and over again 'your food is coming'. This coupled with a starving toddler made for a very unenjoyable lunch. We were given every excuse under the sun as to why the men got their food in record time and we had the luxury of waiting for an hour just to get our food boxed up to-go. I write this as I now finally get to eat my cold, boxed meal that I dropped over $35 on a dine-in bill for. Super disappointing. The manager spoke with me before leaving (again with a ton of excuses) and offered to call me back at a later time. If/when that happens, I'll update my review to what I would normally rate this place (5 stars), but for now my review is based on my most recent experience and I will no longer recommend this place for lunch meetings (which usually happen a couple of times a month at Grapow). 10/4/17 - So I returned with my family to give this place another chance. I was originally asked by the manager to return and give him a call ahead of time to make reservations. I figured since we were going during a week night the reservation wouldn't be necessary and I wanted to make sure we saw what dinner service is truly like. We were seated and it took about 8 minutes to be greeted by the server. She took our appetizer order and walked away, returning a few minutes later to take our food order and then a few minutes after that our drink order. So 15 minutes after being seated we got drinks. Our food wasn't out too much longer after that. The food was good. My only complaint this time is the odd order in which our food/drinks were taken and the fact that not once did the server offer a beverage to my 1.5 year old. We were provided water without asking, but only for myself and my husband. She also didn't offer to provide a small plate for my daughter. We improvised and used the 'discard' bowl from our order of edamame. Not horrible, just something that should be addressed in training. If you want parents to return for future visits, don't treat their kids like they don't exist. Yes, they are children, but they are human beings just like the rest of us and deserve the same respect. The manager, Daniel, greeted us at the end of our meal and was very pleasant. As of right now we may return again, definitely not for the quality of service but because of the food. read more

So glad we finally checked this place out! We have been meaning to try it for a while and so glad we did. The environment was a nice social environment. It was much bigger than what it appears from the outside. There is plenty of seating and also has a nice bar area where you can watch the games that are going on. The food is amazing! We even ordered some take out the other night and it was as good as it was in the restaurant. The two times we have been we have thought that the service was a bit slow, but that is just simply because both times we have gone it has been busy. Don't be afraid to try something new! read more

Misleading information. Only the bar is opened till midnight. Sadly waisted my time driving after 9 pm

Overpriced but food is good, ordered take out (covid has closed dining area) service was ok. Food packaged well. Smaller portions for the money. read more

I order pad Grapow hoping the food was the restaurants signature dish but it wasn't as good as I thought. The place is super busy and waitress forgot to bring us orders. We ended up cancelling part of our order. I guess people come here for drink not so much for foo. read more

One of the only restaurants opened when we were able to eat inside. They made a way for our larger group to sit close to each other. Their selection of food still being served was great. The food tasted amazing. The service was great too. read more

If you're hungry, DO NOT GO HERE. I've waited an hour for my food while seated, and the same has happened for takeout when they say it's a 30 minute wait. I gave them one more chance for takeout, but once again waited for an hour when they had said 30 minutes. Will no longer be giving them my business. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Riverside. I work down the street and often call for takeout during lunch. They have great lunch specials, the food is always very fresh. I've also been here with family and friends on a few occasions. I will agree that wait times could be a bit long, but that's to be expected. read more

The patio out front is nice. It has a fountain and several trees and umbrellas for shade. It is great for families with toddlers who can't go out much bc their toddler won't chill and sit still in a high chair. Lots of visual stimuli so mom and dad can enjoy going out. read more

Despite good food . The seating is horrible, once seated the service was SLOW! I ordered a soup that arrived last after 2 ROUNDS of sushi , a hot plate and 2 rounds of drink refills. Not sure what the issue was , the table seated next to us received all their food (seated 20 mins after us) at the same time as I received my unmodified wonton soup. All food arrived at different times so non of my family actually "ate together". Probably won't come back read more

This is an AMAZING place that I love to come to either by myself, a friend/date or a small group of people. They serve Asian/Thai food obviously by the name lol. The atmosphere is great here and they always do special events and even provide a little night life. The servers are always great and just the right amount of attentive. I usually get the Chicken Yellow Curry which is one of my favorite dishes here. It's always good and consistent. The appetizer plates are also great with just the right amount of portions. My other favorite and recommendation is the Mongolian Beef. You can't go wrong with this place - the food, atmosphere and service is always great for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend! read more

So I was here with my fellow coworkers, and decided to order some wings along with a couple drinks on a Monday afternoon. But one of the worker there was just obnoxious in the way he served us. Not only did he mess up our orders and gave our order to some other table, which made us wait for another 30minutes, he also spilled sauce all over the floor and my shoes. This was an unpleasant experience and I am very disappointed in this restaurant. read more

I was here for lunch around 1pm with a group of 3 and it wasn't too busy. That being said, about 30 minutes after we put our order in, our food still hadn't arrived and our server was nowhere in sight. We asked one of the other servers if he could check on our food...he replied by rudely telling us he wasn't the one who took our order, and then walked away. When we asked the host, he informed us that our server forgot to put our order in. No further explanation and no apology. At that point, our server materialized, looked at us, and then walked away. Again, no explanation and no apology. Fed up and hungry, we left and went somewhere else. read more

Patrick (owner) has done a fabulous job with this establishment. They are expanding and have added a full liquor bar. They will also be adding 22 Taps!!! All this and the food is awesome! Tonight we had the tuna Wrap appetizer $4.25 perfect appi size for 1 and delicious sauces. Entree was Grapow noodles (with udon noodles instead of the flat egg noodles) a little spicy so if suggest getting a 3 or under on the Richter scale when ordering & mixd veggies and chicken perfect match to cool off the heat. This is my new favorite place in Riverside, Ca. Check it out you won't be sorry. read more

First time I've been here. Food was awesome. I met the owner -- very nice guy. But, honestly, Shyla was the best! You don't meet very many bartenders, let alone service workers, who are just a natural at what they do. Shyla had all the bases covered, but it wasn't just me... everyone she served seemed to be on the same page. Needless to say, I'll be back sooner rather than later. Thanks, Shyla!! read more
