Food quality was SOOOO good for the last 3 years of us coming here. It was our absolute go-to when we wanted to eat out and have a delicious meal (driving up from Utah County). But now? The spit-fired chicken went away, and they went to a lemon chicken-type protein. The chicken souvlaki went away. The quinoa that I LOVED so much is now gelatinous. The sides have dwindled in quality. "Wow!" Is all I can say. There was so much flavor coming at me, I didn't know what to do with it. I got the plate and because I couldn't decide on what to order, the nice employees let me do half-sies on almost everything. I was able to try the pork and the chicken souvlaki and the lemon rice and quinoa. The gyro meet that my husband got on his plate was also bomb! I love how fresh the sides were and how much food I got on my plate. My pita bread was a tiny bit dry but because they didn't skimp on the sauces, this wasn't an issue at all. Can't get bored with all the toppings, grains, meats and sides that are available. Plenty of parking and easy to access if you're going South bound. The highlight for me was the value for the money you get and enjoyed their spit fired chicken, lemon rice - which is very lemony, and the spicy red pepper dip. This is a small gyro fast food restaurant. You build your own gyro out of several ingredients which to me looked they had been sitting there all day. I chose the lamb, (which didn't taste much like lamb), added the kale salad mix, arugula, tomatoes, red onions, Greek yogurt, and spicy pepper/feta cheese spread. Your items are assembled as you decide on the various items you would like for lunch. It's not fast food, but it is a place that you can have a great, reasonably price lunch and get back to work on time. I could just live on Greek Salads, Hummus and Greek Rice. I had falafels but I didn't love them. Everything else was fantastic. If you Instagram while you are there you get free yogurt. This was actually my favorite part. The lemon rice was just right, lemony enough but not overpowering. The vegetables were fresh and the meat on the gyro was tender and juicy, I appreciate the good quality of the ingredients used to prepare my meal! Tried a side of falafel and it was so delicious! My my my.... I kept this one simple today. First time eating here. Too many good looking items to choose from. First of all everyone behind the counter was super friendly. Choices of fresh items were plentiful. Since I love Lamb and knew what I wanted as soon as I walked in. GR puts the GR in GREAT! What a nice find. A close friend and co-worker had heard good things and suggested we come here for lunch today and boy were we in for a treat! This place is perfect for quick, healthy greek. Very generous portions, you get a lot of bang for your buck. I think the top thing for me was how tender the meats were, so often when you go through a line the meat tends to be dry. My friend and I both got the plate I had the shredded pork (super tender and flavorful) and she had the lemon chicken also extremely tender and flavorful! I got a mix of the lemon rice and cous cous both yummy. I got the cucumber tomato mix & the greek salad as my sides and a mixture of all 3 sauces (highly recommend all 3). I love this spot! I've been going about once a week since I discovered it. It's the perfect, healthy fast casual dinner or lunch when I don't have time to cook for myself! I've never dined in, but my food is always ready to go when I arrive. My favorites are a chicken bowl with the lemon rice, Greek salad and the spicy roasted red pepper feta sauce! I've also liked the lamb and the couscous. The quinoa was a bit dry so I won't order that again. For your first visit, I recommend getting the pita with all three dipping sauces so you can give them a try! They're all excellent. I have been going to GR Kitchen for about 4 years. They have changed the ordering process and now the service is horrible. I was the ONLY customer inside, I ordered on their stupid pad, and ended up sitting there more than 10 minutes waiting for the two gals to make a salad. They're popping up everywhere. The restaurants where you move down the line picking this and that until you have your specific crafted meal. I love this concept because I like variety and I like to try different mixtures of items. This was my second visit to this restaurant and it was ok not great. I'm chocking this up to the fact that it was 30 minutes before closing so many items were not at their freshest. I also had to remind staff what came with my meal. I got the salad option with lemon chicken. Added rice and pasta salad for my sides. The dressing for the salad lacked the flavors I wanted. It was more of a great olive oil with a hint of Greek seasoning. But mixing it all together with the chicken and lemony rice helped add the flavor I was missing. The chicken had gotten cold in the warmer since it was so late. The pita I would prefer griddled so it's warm and a bit crisped on the edges. He got the gyro plate and said it was just ok. I can see this place being tasty if you don't come here 30 minutes before closing like I mistakenly did. They hardly had anything available and what was still left was either soggy or dried out from sitting around all day. Flavors were still decent although everything was a little too salty. I had a plate with gyro meat, pita, quinoa, roasted veggies, and greek salad. I got all that food for less than $10! Definitely worth the price. The other downfall that left a bad taste in my mouth was one of the employees I had to deal with. You could tell he did not want to be there. He moped around and wasn't very helpful at all. The girls working were friendly and helpful though. He had forgotten my pita completely and they made sure I was taken care of. Hopefully he was just having an off day. Will I come back? Maybe. Between Padelis downtown, Spitz all over SLC, and Greek City Grill that is right next to my gym, I don't see any reason to drive out to this restaurant. We used to love GR Kitchen, but they have just gotten steadily worse. I can say that today is the last time. They have now gone to using iPad kiosks, which now nickel and dime you for every little change. Two of us walked out with a bill of $33 (not including tip) with two meals and one drink. That's ridiculously expensive for a fast food Greek restaurant. We got the meals home and the gyro meat was dry and hardly edible. The salad had hardly any Greek dressing on it and was completely dry. They charged a $1 extra if you wanted both white and red sauce... they used to just include it. Never again! And... I should probably mention they used to yell at people for not wearing masks, which is really comical now because they have a 6' social distancing sign on their door and force you to be within inches of each other to use their kiosks. Got in and sat down at a table waiting 20 minutes or so for some of our group to arrive. We were the only people in the entire restaurant except for two people on the other side of the restaurant 60 or 70 feet away from our table. After sitting for 20 minutes one of the employees went out to his way to get closer to our table to demand we either wear a mask at all times unless we are eating or leave the restaurant. The employee was pretty rude standoffish. Obey the mandate no matter what, no common sense at GR. Amazing the power trips going on with coronavirus. GR Kitchen is not only accommodating to my picky taste buds, but their food is amazing! I have been to GR kitchen 9-10x in the last few months. This place has successfully turned me into a Greek food junkie....and I'm ok with it! The food: Classic gyro: onions, tomatoes, feta, lamb and Tzatziki sauce. The gyro artist first grills the pita bread on the flat top before loading it with slow roasted meats and mouth watering toppings. The lamb is lean and cooked to perfection. Lemon rice: A thick creamy rice, that is spiced perfectly with lemon and spices. A great offset to the saltiness from the feta in the gyro. Value: The prices are fair for the quality and amount of food that you get. Complaint: My only complaint would be that the service is very hit or miss. Customer service can be great if you get the right person. I have received bad service 2-3 times since I started eating it.....I'm hoping they were just flukes. Although, it has made me think twice about coming back. So, minus 1 star for service. All in all, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. 4 **** read more

Above average Greek food. Classic Gyro Plate contains both tasty beef and lambs, with sides healthy quinoa. Hand Held Gyro with Spit Fire Chicken is delicious as well, although I personally prefer this hotter. Kale and pasta side are nice companion. For deserts, they have baklava, although it's hard to tell this apart from other Greek places. But I recommend the House made yogurt, so refreshing, and naturally healthy too. This is a place that you queue at the counter to order. Line wasn't long at all when I went there on Friday dinner. Service was courteous and friendly. The whole restaurant looks clean and organized. I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. I dont usually go for cafeteria style of food service, but Mo Bettah made it work for them so I gave it a try. It turns out that there are a myriad of toppings to put on your rice, salad, or other sides and seeing them all laid out so fresh and healthy made it so much easier to order and get exactly what I wanted. Here is a tip I found amazing; pickled peppers, kalamata olives, and feta cheese over the lemon rice. So satisfying and delicious. I will definitely eat here again. read more
