My partner and I stopped by the Riverton Santorini's Greek Grill while doing some shopping and the food absolutely hit the spot. We got the Street Fries (added lamb) and the Hot Honey Chicken Bowl and cleared both plates with ease. It would have been perfect if the bowl had a little less sauce, but that clearly didn't hold us back. I'd been here a few times and loved it and I can't believe I forgot to review it every time! I wanted to go one last time before I moved out of state and yikes, this place isn't what I remember. I checked old photos to make sure I had my facts straight. It's been 2 years since I last ate here and the price has gone up 50%. Inflation. Tariffs. I know. But 2 years isn't long and I felt really sad paying $15 for this little bowl of food. Also, doing a scoop of feta is a terrible idea (I can tell from my previous photos that it wasn't always a compact scoop). Now it's all stuck together and I can't possibly get it to spread evenly throughout my bites. Besides that, it did taste good and the guy who helped me was super nice. Food is made in front of you at an assembly line so you can yea/nay the toppings. The vegetables and spices tasted fresh and vibrant. I had the original Bowl with gyro meat. I would try the lemon chicken next time because the gyro meat wasn't remarkable and was outshone by all the other flavors added to the bowl. When you find a place that does Greek food right, you grab it and you don't let it go. Santorini's is one of the few Greek restaurants I've eaten at where the food isn't overly saturated in oils, or too spicy, or even too bland... but rather a beautiful balance of the three depending on what you order here. Regardless, you'll eat fresh. The Santorini gyro is noticeable for the size (it's held together by a string, if that's any indicator) and the tzatziki sauce isn't the kind of off texture or off-tanginess I've gotten used to. It's nothing short of lovely, and my mom (who is NOT a tzatziki sauce person) wolfed it down. The skhug is delicious for those of us that love green sauces made with green spices and peppers but don't want the excessive heat. There was no burn. Now the Calabrian chili sauce is different; My experience was it was definitely notches above the skhug but not enough to punish you in the bathroom later. ;) The garlic fries are very good, mixed with fresh minced garlic and lots of feta cheese, it's creamy and delicious. The street fries were probably my favorite out of the offerings so far; sweet potatoes, mixed with regular potatoes, topped with feta cheese, Kalamata olives, seasoned corn nibblets, I asked to have the onions and pepperoncini removed, with the aioli on the side. Very very delicious. The tractor drinks are light, organic and genuinely refreshing beverage options to go for. The Clementine and the lemonade are both bomb, but the strawberry dragonfruit is next on my hit list!! Give this place a shot! It's worth your drachma. ;) read more

The puffy pitas are like Greek/Mexican fusion tacos. The butter cake is melt-in-your mouth good. The garlic fries are aptly named, so be careful if you're a fence sitter on garlic. Very good! We've been twice now and love the food. The puffy pitas are delicious and the fries are so crispy and good! My kids love the Olympian nuggets and this time we tried the loukoumades. Absolutely delicious! We have a list of other things we want to try next time we come. The decor is super cute! They've done a good job of giving you the Santorini feel with the blue and white with the arches. They could be a little faster. I know that this food is prepared as you order, but both times we've been in, we've had a bit of a wait. What an incredible spot! Ordered the traditional style bowl and it had so much flavor! Their hummus was very good and their chicken was so juicy and full of flavors. Got the traditional with their lemon rice, lemon chicken, Greek slow, onions, cucumbers and hummus and all the ingredients were so fresh and so good. Definitely will come back. What an excellent dinner! The location is great and is going to do so well at this Riverton location. The restaurant was spacious and clean. I ordered a build your own bowl with the garlic herb chicken and it was delicious. I also topped it with several of the menu items and they created a perfect combination. I did order the hummus and pita side which was good but not as good as the main course. I also was able to try one of the desserts which was incredible! I love that there is a wide variety of Mediterranean food here so you can choose to be healthy, indulge, or somewhere in the middle. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! read more

The pita bread is made fresh and you can build your gyro with toppings. It's a large gyro but it tasted very good and I ate all of it. This was one of the best Gyro I have ever had. I got the lamb and damn it was good, I was defiantly liking my fingers. They are clean, the staff was friendly and help out my kids that didn't know anything about Gyro's. I liked that they had more choices than just lamb. Now the downside. We went here for the first time yesterday and the vibe definitely made me feel like I was back in Greece! My husband made the comment the gyros were too big, which was probably true because I couldn't finish mine We had a great experience and the food tasted yummy! We especially loved the fries. Only complaint was the soda machine was out of carbonation and I let them know and they said they already knew but didn't do anything to fix it. Santorini's is a beautiful fast casual restaurant that takes you out of the ordinary and straight to an oasis. The restaurant is beautiful and very inviting. I did not expect to see a fast casual place this beautiful. It is a bit like a Greek Chipotle, because you can create and customize your order but that to me is beautiful. Everything I have tried so far has been fresh the gyro meat is very well seasoned, the tzatziki sauce is the best I have had. They make their own pitas as well. The bread is more dense instead of a big fluff and so I didn't think it over powered the rest of the gyro and it's huge!! There are a lot of options and the flavors are good. The gyro are big and hard to eat with hands. I like to be able to pick it up but the flavors are good. Today I tried the Zeus and it was good but I will try something else since they have options. My family like to build their own bowl option so they can add what they like. This place was recommended to us when we were visiting from out of town, so we decided to give it a try. I'm not usually one to review, but their customer service was abysmal and the restaurant was disgusting. I went with my spouse and we placed what I considered a large order for just the two of us. It was busy, so we waited patiently in line and hoped we would see people bussing tables while we waited. Once we made it through the line and went to pay we watched as they gave my spouse's food, that he had been building while walking through the line, away to someone else. We then waited longer for them to finish other people's orders before getting back to his. Although we were done building our order they were only then starting on our fries, which I thought was good since they would be fresh. While stirring the fries the employees started making weird faces while looking at them and whispering to each other. We were eventually told they were no good and they would make us more and take them to our table. We paid, which was a big mistake, with the promise they'd take the rest of our food to our table once it was done. They didn't give us the baklava we ordered and paid for until I asked a couple of times, even though it was ready in the back. We sat down at the least dirty table, which isn't saying much since there had been no effort to clean. There was trash everywhere, the tables were covered in food, and the trash cans were overflowing with trash while food remnants dripped down the sides. We finished eating what food we did have and there was still no sign of either of our fries. My spouse went back to the cash register to see if they could issue us a refund. This place is so unorganized they claimed, after 15 minutes of searching in their system, they couldn't find our order. They didn't know who had been signed into the register, even though we told them the three people who had helped us. We were in a hurry and didn't have more time to waste on it, and decided we would just dispute it with the credit card company. We should have just stuck it out and had them refund us while we were there. We submitted a dispute with an explanation of what happened and only included the cost of our fries, plus the tax and part of the tip that would have been associated with them to our credit card company and were reimbursed without issue. We received notice a couple of weeks later that the restaurant had refuted our claim and told our bank we were liars and it was impossible for us to not get our food since they are a build it as you go restaurant. Issues like this can't be a one time occurrence, things happen in the food industry especially when places are busy, I get that. This has now been rectified. Long story short is the food is decent, but if this place looks even remotely busy I would turn around and run, because it is hard to have concerns addressed. read more
