The Greek kabob looks fast food in the middle of the food court in south town mall but they actually cooked my gyro and my moms steak kabob fresh. It was dare I say...better than the Greek festival? My gyro was fresh with onions and tomatoes and of course tzakzi sauce, made fresh I swear it was better than last year's Greek festival. Good for these guys. Its family owned. Oh and my fries freshly fried were yum. My mom enjoyed her kabob with a side of Greek salad and rice. She could have used more pita but oh well. She was very pleased and agreed with me. I wasn't impressed to be honest, the cost versus what you get wasn't great. the beef kabob plate gets you one small skewer of overcooked beef, a scoop of bland rice, a tablespoon of taziki sauce, and about a 3/4 cup of lettuce and onion mix slapped with another 1/2 tablespoon of sauce. For the price it should be two skewers. I can see now why I've never actually seen anybody order from this establishment. read more

Terrible service. The lady didn't want to substitute tzatziki for hummus and wanted to charge me for a side of hummus. Rolled her eyes when I asked if the bread had dairy. When I asked to see it, she handed me a random piece off the grill instead of the package. I asked for the package and she practically threw it at me. She had one gloved hand and one bare hand and was using the gloved hand for bread, raw chicken, and the computer. At this point, I just gave up and left. This Greek Kabob is a hidden gem. A lot of Greek Kabob places are very salty over flavored, so you need to drink a gallon of water. The flavor of this chicken and beef Koban meal was just perfect. The Greek Kabob is located in side the mall food court. There is a big screen TV for every one in the food court to see and there were plenty of seats available. NOTE: There was one person in the front and one person in the back area cooking. Because this meal was made to order it took 10 Minutes. Honestly, I loved this little gem hidden inside the South Town Mall food court! Plenty of food for the amount you pay, and it was delicious. I had the gyro and tried a bite of chicken tiki masala, everything was hot and fresh and YUMMY. The speed of service was great, the employees themselves weren't awesome (seemed a little rushed and I think I came right during a shift change because they seemed a little flustered and not "incredibly smiley"). HOWEVER, I'm not mad about it, as long as I get my food and it hits the spot, I'm a happy camper. The food court here is interesting, super large and spacious with plenty of seating; however, there are only 6 or 7 choices. My wife and I decided to try them out since we love Greek food. I got the platter while she got the chicken gyro. She is 4 months pregnant and once the smell of food gets to her, she can't eat anymore so she gives me her leftovers. As soon as I am about to finish her food, I see a small speck of something that turns out to be a dead cockroach! What kind of business knowingly serves food infested with dead insects? I love a good gyro. Come to think of it, who doesn't? While there are several places that serve gyros, few actually know how to do it right. The Greek Kabob has it figured out. The flavors are excellent, and as a final touch, they'll fry up the meat for a few moments to give it that crispy, fried texture. It's good either in classic gyro or in the gyro bowl. The service is never great, and it has occasionally taken me 20 minutes to get my food. The ladies behind the counter appear to be permanently grumpy. Once, the lettuce was not fresh and had several brown spots. I've since had better experiences, and I may adjust my star rating in the future if the service gets better. I've walked past this place hundreds of times, never really glancing at the menu. I didn't know what I wanted for lunch today, but once I saw that they offer falafel sandwiches, I had to try it, even though I was pretty sure it would not meet my standards. Then again, other kabob-type mall places have pleasantly surprised me, so maybe this would, too. There were two employees working, and the woman with the nose ring behind the counter came across as super annoyed and slightly condescending when I approached. It must have been very hard for her to tear herself away from the personal cell phone call she was so wrapped up in. Pretty sure that's a health department violation, to be operating a personal cell phone while doing something on the grill, but that's someone else's problem to deal with. Ordering with her wasn't pleasant; I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a certain ingredient in the falafel sandwich before ordering it. Based on the picture on the wall, it kind of looked like pickles were included in it, and I hate pickles. She looked at me as if I were dumb for even thinking that. I did order the falafel in a combo with a drink and french fries. The Diet Dr Pepper and the french fries were the best part of my lunch. To their credit, though, everything was made to order. There was a younger guy working this afternoon who seemed to be doing all of the work behind the counter. While he was freshly preparing the falafel sandwich, she was sitting down in a chair, once again entranced by her cell phone. He was extremely friendly and courteous when I went to pick up my order. I feel for him that he seemed to be stuck doing everything. The falafel was, unfortunately, overcooked. Way too crispy, they also had a bitter aftertaste. I also skipped the tomatoes in the sandwich; they were a bit too pink and didn't look appetizing. The fries were crispy, hot, and shoestring style, and slightly too salty for my taste. The pita was good as well, and I ended up finally just eating that alone with the fries after I gave up on the falafel. Definitely not my new favorite mall food. A few other things on the menu looked interesting (I love dolmathes), but based on the customer service alone, I am not going back. read more

All I did was get a drink here, because they are cheaper here in relative to other places in the mall for a drink, but the lady with the nose stud filled my cup with ice and all I did was ask for half of the ice she gave me. We were just there and an elderly gentlemen was standing where you pick up the food and the lady at the counter who had a nose ring shouted "you need to order down here!" And then proceeded to roll her eyes. My husband and I went to the counter to order and informed her that we thought that was very rude of her to act that way, she stated that she didn't even know that she had done that, (right!) So this older lady comes by and asked what happened and we repeated ourselves, my husband reminded them that it is people like him who keep them in business. She stated well the signs are right here. Was a little skeptical when we first ordered. The chicken and steak kabob meals with the lemon rice are superb. The meal was not typical mall food. It was fresh Mediterranean style Greek with a unique blend of Hindu Indian influence. The owner operator was friendly and gracious. The portions were generous and filling. Twenty minutes per order is unacceptable unless the food is truly outstanding, and this is basic food court fare. Food is good, service is poor. My order was not done right and the lady just laughed at me, did not apologize or offer to fix it....seriously, at least apologize. Then I went back to order something else. She couldn't take my card because she said they charge her more than the price of what I was getting. Come on now, I went back for something else, even though you screwed up my first order, and you couldn't accept my payment for my next order because it was too small of an amount?
