Stopped here with a friend after arriving on CO for a business trip. Solid BBQ joint. Exactly what you might expect from one. Nothing fancy environment-wise...but what you would expect. The restaurant is in a smaller shopping center with OK parking. Order at the counter; sit down and food brought out. Noise level was fair and the restaurant was not really all that busy on a weekday afternoon. I ordered the Carolina (I know.....I'm in CO....still....I ordered it) it is a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top. I had onion rings in the side. The sandwich sat on a pretty standard hamburger-style bun. The sandwich was tasty even if the slaw was a little dry for my liking. The important part....the pulled pork, was nicely done. Overall, it was an enjoyable sandwich. The onion rings were a good side. I'm sure I'll try the place again, but I'll likely try something new on the menu. Overall, an enjoyable meal. Um... wow! I'm in town visiting from Phoenixish and stumbled upon GQue. I'm so glad I did! I think of myself as a bit of an aficionado, particularly as it regards both BBQ and wings. Because the GQue menu offered BOTH, I couldn't decide. Ultimately, I chose both. I had 5 Buffalo wings (w/Bleu cheese of course) and a 1/4 lb of USDA Prime brisket. Holy cow , literally. The brisket was fabulously moist & held together just long enough to make the fork assisted trip into my mouth, where it proceeded to melt on my tongue! The BBQ sauce (Hottish) was a well balanced flavor with just a well placed touch of heat. The wings checked all the boxes: Excellent flavor Meaty crispy skin no breading served piping hot I had a side of beans too. They use both pintos & black beans together which creates a little flair regarding both flavor & texture. I can't say anything even remotely negative about GQue. GQue nailed it. My first visit here was a total disappointment as just as I walked in they posted they were out of brisket... AHHHHH!!! So I made sure to come in earlier the next day and finally got my brisket fix on and it was definitely well worth the wait. I have had better BBQ just not in Colorado so this is the best so far in that area. The brisket was really nice and the cole slaw was also very well done while the mac 'n cheese was just forgettable mediocre. They had a concise but flavorful selection of sauces that went very well with the meat. These guys know BBQ! From the awards on the shelves, no the smoke smell faintly in the back and the lines out the doors. The menu can be a bit overwhelming due to amount of delicious items on it. It was our first time and I had an idea of what I wanted from seeing their rad social media posts. I knew I had to get the wings! They are smoked and flashed fried then they add their special rub. Oh my goodness they were the best wings I've ever had! Super moist, great grisly outside and fantastic rub on the outside that's not spicy but full of flavor. I also got the MELTDOWN which is a brisket sandwich with a delicious cheese sauce oh and fantastic onion rings. It was $13 but so worth it! I saw an ad on Instagram for a free GQue pulled pork sandwich, and thought why not? So glad I did because the food is amazing! When I ordered the sandwich, I added an order of 10 wings and fries to split with my fiance. I honestly can't tell you what I loved most. The cherry bomb wings were smoky with just the right amount of sauce (we also ordered dry rub wings in another visit and it was unreal, especially when dipped in GCue's BBQ sauce). The pulled pork was amazing - so much meat, and the two sauces were awesome to have on the side (if you're getting food to go, I would just recommend asking for the bun to be packed separately so it doesn't get soggy). Definite order the fries if you're looking for a side because they are crunchy and have just the right amount of salt. All of the food came in solid portions. I also love that every time I go back, I'm sent a new free food item because I signed up for the first one. I've received a free pork sandwich, free wings, and next time I will get free ribs (wuuuuuuuut?). Definitely worth signing up and checking out. G Que boasts about their championship BBQ, they have many accolades over the years showing how they're one of the best in the area. Area. They are currently running a free BBQ pork sandwich promotion which is what brought me in for my first time. The pork was nice and smoky and the coleslaw that came on. It was interesting since it featured Granny Smith apples in it. The wings are what stole the show though, these smoke rings fell right off the bone and had excellent favor. They always have a new flavor of the week but felt that I needed to get dry rub and that was a great choice! The mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. We're perfect sides for this whole meal. The building is small and because of Covid, indoor dining is limited, however, they have plenty of outdoor seating. We ordered the ribs and spicy sausage. Ribs were so delicious! Sausage was the right amount of spicy. For the sides we had beans and onion rings. The beans had a tad bit of sweetness to them. Onion rings were great. I really enjoy this bbq joint! They have the best smoked Turkey and on Sunday they had the bourbon peach chicken wings which were awesome and can't wait until they are back on the special menu. Sunday's are busy, so come early because they were out of the brisket and ribs by 6. Can't wait to get some when we go again! The Mac and cheese is by far the best side that is why we get the largest size. With covid measures still in place they don't have much seating inside, but a lot of outside seating. I'll break down why. I'll get the negative out of the way first. But stick with it for the good parts. The floor in the dining area was so greasy I was slipping around. To me that is a hazard! It was pretty gross. As part of my order I ordered a link, Jalapeno Cheddar. Was surprised that it was not like some of the pictures that have been posted. I was expecting a juicy link, but mine was luke warm and anything but plump and juicy. You can see from the picture I posted. For the rest of my order I was planning on getting a small order of wings and a side of Onion Rings. They had Spicy Thai wings on the lunch menu so I went with them and the rings. The Onion Rings, even for $4 for a side were delicious. Just perfect! The wings were smaller than I had expected. And at $6 for 5 I thought they would be bigger. But they were so good. Stopped here to wait out the snow a few Saturdays ago when we got dumped on, great place. The food was amazing but they're award winning so that's not really a surprise but the staff were great too! I wish I could remember the woman's name but my kid was the one that picked this place and this amazing person dropped down to a knee (my daughter is tiny) to talk to her, ask what she wanted and gave her a sticker. Can't beat amazing barbecue, good beer and a cool atmosphere of concrete floors subway tile and hardwood used for smoking on display. Highly recommend. read more

I know I'm an outlier here but I'm going to tell it like it is.... The pulled pork and brisket were both good. Not great but a solid good. They know how to cook meat. Nice and tender but a little lacking on flavor. The "burnt ends" my husband ordered were wet and not crispy. Too bad as the crust, or crunch on the burnt ends are what makes him happy. But... for me a big part of great BBQ depends on great sauce and great sides. I was not a fan of the two sauces offered and with the meat lacking in flavor the meat needed sauce. Also the Mac and cheese was SHAMEFUL. All those in our party that ordered it tossed it after a bite. It was over cooked elbow noodles with cheese sauce on top. Just sad. On a good note the staff were nice and friendly and the place was clean. Unfortunately we won't be coming back for the food. read more

Not only was the food excellent and ready at the time I had scheduled, they included some extras, which I didn't know would be in included.
