    Spicy Chicken Plate and Mandu

We stumbled up this restaurant while searching for a Korean Restaurant, and boy were we pleased! This joint surprised us with the quality and taste of the food! Owner is friendly and cooks the order fresh. My husband isn't a big fan of Korean food, but this place, he craves! Lol Our go-to orders are Spicy Chicken plate + Beef bulgogi plate - which comes with picked veggies, rice noodles, two Mandus, and two tempura shrimps.

The menu is a perfect blend of traditional Korean dishes with a modern twist, and every bite was bursting with authentic flavors. The beef bulgogi plate was tender and perfectly marinated, served with fluffy rice, japchae noodles, and fresh veggies that complemented it beautifully. The taiyaki with sweet red bean filling was a delightful treat, and their boba milk teas (I got the matcha!) were refreshing and perfectly sweetened. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you're in Prosper and craving authentic Korean cuisine, Goyaki is a must-visit! We'll definitely be back! Kitchen looks clean and so were the restrooms.

I was really excited and hopeful about GoYaki, especially since it's the first of its kind here in Prosper. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several key areas. While the food was flavorful, the quality didn't quite match up. The galbi, for instance, had good seasoning but was overly chewy. And when it came to value, I expected more. I ordered the bibimbap, and as you can see from the photo, it had hardly any meat and was missing several traditional ingredients. Most surprising of all--there was no kimchi included. When we asked about it, we were told it had to be purchased separately, which is disappointing given that kimchi is typically a staple of the dish. I really wanted to love this place, but the food lacked authenticity, and the overall value just wasn't there.

The food here is delicious! We ordered Togo the spicy pork, spicy chicken ,Galbi plate and the red bean taiyaki for dessert . It's very flavorful and great portion size. Everything was so good. The owner is very friendly and food came out fast. I'm so glad it's close by. I'll definitely be coming back and more often to try everything on the menu. highly recommend.

Omg.,,when I say this is the best spicy pork bulgogi I've ever had and I'm not even exaggerating. It's legit korean food and they make it fresh when you order!! def will be coming back here to try the other stuff on the menu!

Fabulous Korean food, kiosk order and nice clean seating area. We ordered the spicy chicken bowl and beef bulgogi bowl. Both were fabulous. After seeing the Bungeoppang delivered to the next table, we had to order some. Oh my goodness, so good. You can not go wrong with a warm crispy pastry filled with Nutella. We will visit again.

The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, which immediately set a positive tone for the experience. The menu offered a great variety with plenty of options, and I really appreciated that items were clearly marked to indicate whether they contained raw fish. That's a thoughtful touch that makes the menu more approachable for guests who may be new to sushi or prefer cooked options. Presentation-wise, the rolls looked fantastic and were plated beautifully. The flavors were good as well. However, the one thing that held the experience back for me was the portion size of the rolls. Some of them were extremely large--my Rock & Roll was so big that fitting a single piece comfortably in my mouth was a challenge. Sushi is traditionally meant to be eaten in one bite to enjoy the balance of rice, fish, and fillings. When the pieces get too large, it can throw off that balance and make the eating experience a bit messy. I also found the eel sauce to be unusually thick--almost molasses-like--which didn't quite have the smooth, glossy texture I typically enjoy. Overall, it's still a solid spot worth trying, especially if you enjoy larger rolls and generous portions. For me personally, the size of the rolls disrupted the balance I look for in sushi, so it may not become my regular spot--but others may really enjoy it.

I got there early, in fact my friend forgot so I had to wait for her to arrive. She lives within a few blocks of downtown McKinney so it took about 15 minutes to get there. The weather outside was beautiful, but too bright to see my phone so I went inside and asked if they minded if I sat inside while I waited. They were so kind and helpful. The girl asked me if I wanted something to drink and when I asked for Iced Tea she brought me a bottle from the refrigerator. They don't have fountain drinks, just bottled sodas, juice, tea and water. The place is clean and cheery. I love ordering the combos so I get a little bit of everything that I want. The portions are decent if you're hungry & want to finish everything OR if you're not too hungry, eat half, and take the other half to-go for lunch the next day. The service is aligned with what you'd expect from a Korean place. Some of the older ladies working there are so sweet and helpful, especially if you tell them it's your first time, and some of them seem more intimidating and aggressive. Typically there isn't a wait for tables. Only times I've waited for a table are peak weekend dinner hours. The most I waited was maybe 15 minutes, as their service is quite fast for a sit down restaurant. This location has seats where you can store your personal belongings in them!

As for the side dishes/banchan, nothing really stood out. As for the service, we were seated and helped really quickly, but pretty much left alone for the remainder of the meal. The prices here are decent, especially if you share a combo meat and soup with a friend.

The seafood pancake slices I got were good and the fried chicken wing I got was a big size. The tonkatsu itself was average but I was really disappointed in the sauce. Normally Korean/Japanese style tonkatsu is accompanied with a dark tangy sauce but this one tasted like gravy... didn't end up using it much and without it the katsu ended up being a bit dry. For the price I probably will opt for something else in the food court.
