This is a convenient spot for a quick lunch, or a place to take your kids, but not a place I'm drawn to. It's really an upscale fast-food restaurant, with burgers and fries and salads, and beer, wine and shakes for beverages. You order at the entrance, get an electronic gizmo, go find a seat, and wait about ten minutes for the gizmo to go off so you can pick up your lunch. On the plus side, the food is good. We liked both the burger and the salad that we split for lunch. On the down side, this is not really a comfortable place. The interior is industrial chic, metal chairs and wood benches and tables, concrete floor, big glass walls, no artwork. It's a bit chaotic with kids, and sounds travel inside, giving it a cafeteria-like feeling. It's like any fast food restaurant really, with nicer benches...you could clean the entire interior with a fire hose. There are tables outside which are quieter, though you're in shopping center foot traffic. We actually had a pretty bad experience. Our trainee cashier did not properly enter the number for our gizmo on our order, so we never got beeped. When we finally got the food a half-hour later, the burger was stone-cold. To their credit, they made us a new one without any questions. When we ordered a half-bottle of wine with our lunch, we had to walk all the way to the back to get glasses from the bartender. The staff are polite, helpful, working hard, and doing their best, but the concept does not appeal to me. Plastic forks and spoons, paper plates and wrappers, plastic straws, paper towels for napkins. Extra paper 'napkins' are actually available from a paper towel dispenser on the wall next to the bar in back. Everything (except the straws) may be compostable, but it's still a lot of trash. This may be a good place to take your kids. And it's fine for a quick lunch, if the systems are working and you don't mind paying somewhat higher prices for decent fast food. read more

Their garlic fries are incredible. They are so good and not greasy (any more than normal fries) and aren't covered in minced garlic. Also, my wife and I now have a poke taco addiction. I would have uploaded a picture, but we are scarfed them down too quickly. We ordered online, their COVID protocols are pretty good. The person giving you your food are not the people handling money. That's so huge for preventing contamination. All in all, this place is amazing. read more

The more I think about a recent lunch at Gotts, the more I feel like a sucker. No doubt, Gotts arrival was something I looked forward to. The restaurant is cavernous with plenty of seating inside and out. The dining concept is fast casual. The menu is large, with daily specials, so finding something you will enjoy should not be difficult. There I was, all excited to give it a go. So.... First, I get to stand in line nearly 20 minutes, with just 4 people in front of me. Then, I place my order for the Vietnamese salad. I'm handed a device that will buzz when my meal is ready to pick up.10 minutes go by, & the buzzing begins. I walk up to the counter & now get to wait to retrieve my salad because a family of 4 is also at the counter grabbing their food & trying to decide if my salad belongs to them. Ok, I get my salad, in a compostable bowl, with a compostable fork. I go back to my table, take one look at the huge pieces of chicken on top of the salad & realize I need a knife, which of course they had not bothered to provide with the fork. Back up to the counter to wait to ask for a knife. How about you train your staff to provide all the necessary utensils, or, put them where customers can easily get them without waiting in line, again? Now, the food. Blah!!! This salad cost $12.95 before tax. Portions are small. Taste of the actual salad & dressing was good. The chicken was overcooked, dry & pretty much tasteless, but, it was crunchy. After finishing, I get to bus my empty containers to a station to dispose. So I paid an exorbitant amount for a mediocre salad that I had to: -wait in line to order -retrieve myself -find the right utensils myself -clean up after myself Next time, I'm going back to Rustic Bakery where they charge the same for an excellent Asian salad. It comes in a real bowl with actual silverware that is delivered to my table by a helpful server. Gotts, sorry, but you need to up the ante big time at these prices. read more

This place has a really nice seating inside and outside. 7 of us were there for lunch. I tried their burger, fries, onion rings and salads. I liked the burger with blue cheese & bacon, and onion rings, but fries were pretty dry. The salads was okay. I really think it is pricey for the amount of food you get- a burger with fries or onion rings and soft drink would easily cost around $17-$20. In additional, it took abit of time for all of us to get our food. By the time the 6th and 7th person got their food. The 1st -4th person almost or finished their meals, especially the burgers were not that big in terms of portion. read more

Food is really good, but ALWAYS cold whether you do pickup or delivery. There is a nice selection and burgers are good, but they really need to work on order timing. I can't eat another cold burger and soggy fries for these prices! read more

Customer Service review for Zach, manager at Greenbrae. I'm giving Zach 5 stars because he came out to check on us and we reported to him that we felt we may have been overcharged (13.00 for an adult grilled cheese). He fixed the problem right away and had a great attitude. We really appreciated how he seems to really care if the customers have a good experience. Gotts is incredibly overpriced (painfully so) so my 5 star review is for Zach. read more

Customer service fail alert! I was the only person ordering and left standing, waiting 15 min, while 20 staff members scurried in the kitchen. My handheld device did not go off and it took me approaching to inquire only to see my 16 dollar burger sitting cold in a box! Lied to my face saying it just came out then looked at me sideways when I asked for my kid sized ice cream cone, like I was the one lying! Priorities are all effed up in there! read more

Food is good but the phone being off the hook or busy all the time is frustrating! Trying to change an order and it's just impossible to reach them read more

The only thing worse than this burger was that it cost $14. Blackened shoe leather.

Perfect example of overpriced Marin food. Burgers overcooked beyond well done. Food cold because their pickup system is very unorganized. Habit is a better burger and onion rings at half the price. read more

Great food, poor service, missing part of our order. Nothing worse than picking up a meal and part of your order isn't there.

I ordered a Western Bacon Blue Ring burger and the Chili Cheese Fries, so the burger and the fries looked terrific, the only problem is that they really weren't, as soon as I received my order I went in on the Chili Cheese Fries, the Chili Cheese they poured over the fries was hot but the fries underneath, we're very stale, and some if not most, were hard to chew and break down in general, I was going to walk up to the counter to complain, but didn't want to ruin the restaurant's reputation out loud, so just put up with it and moved on to the burger which was somewhat tasty after scraping most of the crumbled Bleu cheese off of it which made for a less salty burger, the vibe inside the restaurant was pretty decent for an eating experience but they kept all the doors open for some reason on a chilly day while the ceiling fans were going which made for a rather unpleasant eating experience, there was an option for tipping at the register for 15-25%, but the funny thing is all they do is ring you up for the order and provide 0 services outside of whipping up your order for you so I didn't offer one which may be the reason why I was served stale fries in the first place, if I ever come back to this burger joint I would probably choose a cheeseburger and some regular fries otherwise I recommend you save your money and grab a Whopper from BK instead, sorry! read more

I love Gotts and used to go all the time. Food is great and consistent. I wish they were open later at night after the hoards of children and families left. The wait can be really rough sometimes. Legit whole soccer teams meet up here after practice and you are stuck behind 30 kids in line. read more

Came here during lunch with my team. Was able to barely beat the lunch rush when we arrived at 12pm. They have a large variety on their menu. Be on the lookout for their specials of the week. I wanted to try their horchata milkshake but they were out. I settled for the Oreo, and man, it did not disappoint. The consistency of the shake is near perfect. Not too watery, not too thick. It was well-blended, so there weren't any chunks that got stuck in the straw. I ordered the burger with an egg. Good size. Did not have trouble eating it. Very juicy. Wish the patty was a little more on the medium rare side. Got the chili cheese fries. Nothing special. I've had better. Overall, a good experience. Would return for their milkshakes. read more

This burger establishment does fine in terms of its patties and sauces, and it makes me heir burgers memorable when compared to an average fast food place like Wendy's or McDonalds. I ordered the California burger, which has an egg and some delicious mayo spread, while my girlfriend ordered a hamburger add bacon. We split a side of garlic fries, and shared ketchup and spicy mustard. I ended up eating most of the fries because they were really good, although my girlfriend thought them a bit too greasy. They offer shakes that seemed good, I may grab one next time we frequent this establishment. The complimentary water comes from a convenient faucet near the condiments which was easily accessible. I would recommend you try this place at least once if you're in the mood for burgers read more

Gott's Roadside - American Near Me - Greenbrae, California

Pretty expensive place for the price of the burgers, but it's in a good location and has a fun vibe it it.

The customer service was great. I really enjoyed the California Burger. They also offer free cups for water. The location is spacious and great place for families. read more

The food is decent but not with the wait. 10 minutes to place the order and 25 waiting for food. Place was busy but far from crowded or packed. I know they say cooked to order but so will be Shake Shack which has much better food and is much quicker. read more

I already love Gott's in the Ferry Building (going back to when they were Taylor's Automatic Refresher) so I'll just touch on the differences here, rather than a full blown review. Food is the same! This is good. Ahi burger is still arguably the best thing on a bun I've had. Garlic fries are still painfully garlic-y. The space is HUGE. You could throw a 500 person concert in here. It's unnecessarily huge, in fact, and makes it feel pretty impersonal. While I love the patios at both the Ferry Building and Oxbow Market locations, I don't love the feel here. The kitchen is behind glass, instead of open, and the scale of the place is impersonal. Since it's very near me, I'll be back, but all things considered, I'd much rather go to Oxbow or Ferry Building locations for the same food in a much more personal and fun atmosphere. read more

We made an order to pick up and it was just delish! My salad was fresh and my husband's burger was so good I (almost) regret not getting one, but the chef salad was so good that I don't mind! We will definitely keep supporting this business! Oh and the prices are great too! read more

Something has changed since I've last been there pre-covid. Sweet potato fries would have been so good without the spice. I'm Latina and love spice but dang those were spicy! Took away from the enjoyment. The cheese tastes strange and there was much too much bun (that was also stale...I will however give y'all another try because the ambiance is awesome and the staff are friendly. Maybe it was just an off day. My mom loves her onion rings though! read more

Yay! Thanks Gotts for bringing the impossible burger to Marin. Worth the wait in line for this treat. Not sure why it's a $3 up charge. Is the cost really that much more than the good beef you use? Oh well, for now I'll pay the price and visit often. Expect the ambiance to be loud. I've never visited when it's not full of kids. But there is something charming watching a little league team enjoying soft serve. Nice beer selection too! read more

I can only comment on their burger, which I expected to be juicy and tasty. My blue cheese burger was neither. But at least the bun was toasted Their chocolate shake was thick and good. Friendly counter service. read more

I tried Gott's for the first time tonight and it was DELICIOUS! My boyfriend and I both loved our burgers, and the garlic fries were the best we've had aside from AT&T park. The froses were also a delicious treat during this heat wave. Can't wait to eat here again! read more

Was not impressed . Burger was just okay and we ordered the fish and chips. Got one small over cooked piece of fish. For just about the same price could have gone to Cheese cake factory and gotten better quality food and had leftovers . They were not busy so no excuse there and when asked to speak to a manager was told he was on break. Sad as I really wanted to like this place and heard great things about it. read more

Been here twice. Spent 20 minutes in line both times and left. It's comical to have a huge empty restaurant with 10 people eating while 40 people stand in line outside. Logistically it's impossible to ever have the restaurant even half filled. Stupid. They won't survive the first 6 months. Update: drove to in n out, waited in line, ordered and got my food in less time than it would have taken to get to the cash register at Gott's. For 1/4 of the price. Not worth going there. read more

Only OK. Went there for dinner last night. The place is HUGE and there are tons of tables. I was encouraged based on the number of people in line and my previous experience at the Ferry Terminal location. But, unfortunately it wasn't the same. Wife had the fish tacos and they came in the tray they serve the fries in. Her comment "that's not alot of food." They were okay otherwise. My son and I had Western Bacon Blue Rings. Okay. Didn't seem as good as I remember from before. Burger patty seemed a bit small and big bun. Perhaps a bit overcooked as well. The good: my son has food allergies and they were sticklers about it and VERY accommodating. This is something that doesn't go unnoticed as not all restaurants get the criticality of this. Gott's clearly takes it seriously. Also, they have great beer on tap - Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA. There is actually a bar in the back so it seems they are going for more than just a burger joint vibe. But, the food isn't good enough to justify the cost. Over $110 for 4 people, only 2 of which had alcohol. I will likely head to Super Duper the next time I'm craving a burger and save almost half the cost. read more

Very expensive prices for very just okay food. Lunch for three was around $70. Gott's is making a big gamble here. If all of the people moving into Marin really can afford the million-dollar 1100 square foot 50+ year-old homes, then Gott's is going to be just fine. If people are seriously overextending themselves to afford the overpriced housing, then they likely won't be able to buy an overpriced mediocre hamburger. In which case Gott's will be lucky to hang in for more than a few years. Good luck, everybody! read more

Great good. Love the organic lemonade and organic collection. The people are very nice and the area is clean.

I've enjoyed everything I've ordered: salads, tacos, veggie and impossible burgers. Staff is usually friendly. A bit pricey for self-serve and the burgers could be a bit bigger but the salads are ample size and the food consistently good. I like that they avoid plastic and most items are biodegradable. read more

I had a California burger that was as dry as Vegas and as tasteless as Trumps hair!!! Would never go back!!!! The garlic fries had plenty of pesto, but no garlic!!! It took over twenty mins to receive food. What a waste of time:( read more

So nice to have quality food and service in Marin. Line is long but goes quick, and if the wait is too much you can always sit at the bar in the back and order a glass of wine in the meantime! Once you sit, the staff and General Manager are constantly checking on guests with a great attitude and smile on their face. This isn't an inexpensive experience, but when actually consuming well made organic products from any restaurant, what is cheap? For those who have any complaints about it, I would stick to the drive thru you are so proud of. Looking forward to coming back. read more

Gott's got it going on during this pandemic. I ordered online, arrived in lot and had perfectly packaged burgers, fries and shake delivered by friendly-eyed foodrunner with mask and gloves. The burgers were yummy, fries crispy and the shake delicious AND using Strauss ice cream. I also adore that they've gone extra distance in sustainable packaging that traveled well. They have also done very well in taking care of employees as best as possible. Thank you, Gott's! read more

We love Gott's! But what makes this location better than the rest is because Edwin always takes such good care of us at the bar! The service is on point & food is great. read more

First time here. The young gentleman at the cashier was so helpful and pleasant. My sister and I shared many items. We ordered the cheeseburger- delicious! The Ahi Poke tacos- yummy and loved the tartar sauce that came with it. Onion rings- perfect! Sweet potato fries- good fries but didn't love the chili sprinkle on top. Would have preferred them plain. Fried Brussels sprouts. Good flavor but were in too many individual leaf pieces so a little too greasy. I prefer them halved or even while so you can taste the sprout not just a thin crunchy leaf. The restaurant is huge with a nice bar area and a TV and slot of seating. Since it only opened a week ago it is super busy with a line forming starting around 5:00. They also have the impossible burger, which is a plant based veggie burger that tastes like a meat burger read more

I am familiar with their restaurant in St. Helena and the Ferry Terminal San Francisco. Without any doubt the Bon Air location is the most spacious and best looking and has a Wine and Beer Bar. Tried my favorite "Vietnamese Chicken Salad and Garlic Fries" and it was excellent. Gott has good value for the money and I am planning to visit it often. Welcome to Greenbrae / Larkspur. read more

The only reason we keep coming back here is the food. Service is chaotic and there are many mistakes. I have worked in the food industry for a long time and it's clear these guys need a lot of help expediting and setting up a system of organizing the orders that actually works. read more

Solid start, but issues exist with speed of service and operations. While the food is good, it needs to arrive hot, and in a timely manner. This location is not a tourist hub, like the Ferry Building, and business operations need to adapt accordingly. read more

I like Gott's quite a lot. During the COVID business, the location in Greenbrae has become a regular experience. You can call ahead (and pay for) your order, or e-mail it. I phone because e-mail ordering does not currently provide an option to request a veggie patty on the burger. The veggie patty, as opposed to the Impossible Burger on the menu, is a basic Garden Burger which I like just fine; I am not a fan of a veggie patty that imitates meat. (The Impossible Burger is supplanting good veggie burgers at lots of restaurants now, and leaving me behind. I wonder if there is a misperception that veggie burger eaters are craving a meat-like burger. I think, rather, meat lovers are possibly tempted to try them. At any rate, so glad that Gott's provides the option. We veggie burger eaters have been getting along fine the last quarter-century with some fine ones.) Enough about that. My husband LOVES a good beef cheeseburger and he is very satisfied with the one here. It fully meets his cravings. Having put about a dozen orders behind us, my favorite things are the super-friendly and professional service, the best onion rings ever, great condiments (they now sell their ranch dressing), the variety of menu choices, and the overall excellent quality of the food ingredients. Lots of great salads in addition to the burgers, plus tacos and more. Not to mention the shakes (mint chocolate chip!) that are out of my caloric league. On the not so plus side, a few orders have been misses, such as missing avocado on a salad, a salad not dressed, wrong salad dressing, and inconsistency in salad prep, e.g., chopped falafels or will they be whole, plus those brioche buns almost always fall apart halfway through the burger. I gripe because the prices are premium (e.g., burgers are $8-15). Of course, when the food is of necessity take-out, and one is dining from a bag of food in the car in some parking lot, there is not an option to question or send it back, so there is that. I am really looking forward to the time when inside dining can reoccur and I can enjoy this restaurant's spacious interior for a casual dinner. read more
