In a world saturated with burger joints, finding one that's actually worth a sit-down meal isn't as easy as it should be, but this place delivers. The burgers are big, the sides are generous, and everything we tried was genuinely tasty. We split a burger and fries between two people and both left completely satisfied. That's a testament to both the portion sizes and the quality. You're getting real value here. The menu has a wide variety of burger options, and they've put some thought into the kids' menu. They also do catering for birthdays with sliders and different options, which is a nice touch for families. The space itself is versatile. There's a great bar area with TVs if you want to catch a game, but also plenty of seating for more intimate meals or larger groups. It's very family-friendly without feeling like a kid-only zone. The staff was attentive throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. Parking is a breeze since it's right on the outside of the mall. That alone makes it more appealing than a lot of other options in the area. There are plenty of burger places out there, but as far as sit-down restaurants go, Roam is one to watch. It's a great addition to the mall and the Corte Madera dining scene. We're back again. As I posted before, I come because my youngest likes it here. But the fries came 10-15 minutes before the burgers. They acknowledged when I "diplomatically" brought it up. Threw in a free fries as the burgers came. I had to wait even longer for my fried chicken strips. But they were good! Classy & happy staff. Damn you Roam! We can't quit you. Help me give you a 4! This restaurant is located in the Corte Madera Town Center right off of the freeway exit. Parking was pretty easy to find. Went on my lunch break at work, but I beat the lunch rush. The cashiers were super friendly and helpful with helping me choose what to order as this was my first time visiting. They were patient while I read the entire menu. Ambiance was great. It was a little chilly and the tables sit big groups so I sat alone at a table that looks as if a group of 5-6 should sit there. A lot of the tables were like that. They do have outdoor seating but it was too chilly for that. I opted for the spicy fried chicken sandwich as I usually like the Nashville style flavor and a side of russet fries. I added the garlic Parmesan seasoning to the fries. For my drink, I ordered Arnold Palmer and I like my drinks on the sweeter side so the cashier was nice enough to add some agave for me. I dined in and it was pretty empty when I first arrived which was nice but by the time my food was brought to my table, it filled up quickly! Arnold Palmer: delicious and refreshing. The agave addition gave it the perfect amount of sweetness I like. Garlic Parmesan fries: also really good. Cooked perfectly. I went to the self served area on the side where you can get ketchup and hot sauce. They had this chipotle habanero hot sauce that I added to the ketchup and it was really good. Spicy fried chicken sandwich: now the chicken patty was huge! Hung over the bun, which I can appreciate, but the sauce? It was runny and almost reminiscent of a marinara sauce? It didn't taste bad, but it wasn't thick or spicy or what I would usually expect from a Nashville type sauce. Again, it tasted good, but more of a chicken patty with a runny marinara sauce. It didn't taste like pasta sauce, but that was the consistency of it. Hard to describe. Would have to come back and try a regular burger next time lol it was served with a slaw and pickles. I can only speak on the chocolate/vanilla swirl soft serve but it is so tasty!!!! I love the toffee bits that we chose as a topping. Only thing was it melted pretty quickly. I wondered why because it was cold and somewhat cloudy outside, so the ambient temperature wasn't to blame. I feel like if you're in the mood for something sweet, I would def recommend this place. Generally the food is good, love the fresh salads with lots of toppings, the haystack is a favorite of the family, truffle fries are great. The burgers are a little charbroiled for my liking but others like them, though the buns are slightly hard. The lemonade used to be good but is now often very watered down, almost like lemon water. Pretty sad when my daughter won't drink it. And always check your order, it's usually wrong if it's to go. And forget using them with DoorDash, and every single time they forget to put part of our order in the bag, and it's delivered with items missing (not the fault of DoorDash, as the bag is sealed). They need to work on their service/quality control. But I do like the atmosphere of eating there, which is your best bet. read more

So happy Roam Burgers made it to Marin. Their tasty burgers had me drooling the last time I went to their location in Oakland, but it closed. They have a couple of locations in SF, and they decided to come to this side of the 415 - smart move. I get the Heritage, and their refreshing lemonade. If you're not into bougie burgers like my husband, this place may not be your jam. Even their sugar is fancy when he poured it into his iced tea, which made it taste different. He's used to sweet tea, I'm like sorry not in Corte Madera. There's no shortage of burger places in Marin, but Roam sets the bar high, and I love supporting local and the Bay Areaaaaaa. The owner chose a great location on this side of Corte Madera at Town Center. Long ago, there used to be McDonald's, The Counter, and CPK...going down memory lane. My team had a lunch break today here at Roam. I had looked at the Yelp score and thought meh and was a bit dismissive. I am delighted to report my burger went way beyond expectation. I got the Heritage burger that comes with bacon and aged cheddar lettuce, tomato aioli and I added avocado but it certainly didn't need it.. it would've been as rich and filling without. It was also about a 12 napkin juice level.! I also sampled the fries and they were crispy on the outside but moist and tender on the inside . The service was pretty fast for custom ordered burgers . They play a nice modern and jovial music selection. And I loved all the green plants and the lower lighting., the prices seem compatible with the quality. I can comfortably recommend!!! read more

We came by for a late lunch a little bit before 2pm. We ordered the Chalet Burger w/ house sauce on the side, beef on a whole grain bun, medium rare ($14.50) and the Pacific Blue Burger: beef on a whole grain bun, added yellow mustard and mayo medium rare ($14.50). I had a gift card for $25 I wanted to use. the self service was confusing for the giftcard. It didnt end up going through so we had to wait in line to void the transaction and do it again with the server. It took a little longer to process, but it ended up working out. Once you order, you can get self service water cups and find a seat. The burgers came on fairly quickly. The buns were toasted perfectly and the burger held together well. The chalet burger was very tasty. The fresh veggies and tomato with sauced mushrooms and juicy beef patty just hit the spot. I enjoyed the sauce on the side so I could control the amount but also dip the burger so each bite had the house sauce. It's a little pricer for a burger without fries or a side but the quality is definitely there. The store was clean with plenty of tables inside and out. The service was quick and friendly. Roam Burgers has always been one of my favorite burger restaurants in SF. I was so excited to hear that they opened a location at the Town Center Corte Madera. My personal favorite is the Sunny Side Burger (pictured here). You can choose your choice of protein, which I typically opt for the grass-fed beef, and you can choose your type of bun (pictured here is the brioche bun). The Sunny Side Burger includes Pasture Raised Egg, Aged White Cheddar, Caramelized Onions, Arugula Greens, Tomato, Chili Sauce. The sunny side egg, caramelized onions, and chili sauce are my favorite toppings on the burger. They offer other styles of burgers, such as the popular Heritage Burger, chicken entrées, and a wide array of artisan toppings if you'd like to create your own style. Nothing special kind of burger, it was basically with old tomatoe, hella onions and some secret sauce. The fries were super small for the price you pay and the drink was a basic lemonade obviously not made with love. I have been to Town Center Corte Madera several times by now, but never have I seen this place! I like the name haha. Roam makes me think of adventurers exploring new experiences :) anyway, I got their Tavern Burger and Russet Fries with chipotle maple seasoning. It is straightforward: I got what it sounds like. Good burger with tavern vibes, and fries with the taste of chipotle and maple flavors! They did not go overboard with the salt and I like the textures and taste. They seem to have seasonal menus and salads/soup too, which is already more than most burger places, so that is a plus. They also have nice music to groove to while you are enjoying your meal. I was really disappointed in this place. It is way overpriced and lacks the friendly, warm, collaborative environment that is represented on their website. The burger was overcooked and lacked the essence of a juicy, freshly cooked burger. The service was bad and the price for an extra burger patty is just absurd. And don't be fooled by "We collaborate with local partners". The main ingredient in their offering is beef and it is from Montana and not even sourced from the many local beef producers that we have in California. Very disappointing, as this place could really be something if they improved their service (especially for the price of a burger and fries) made it more accessible for a variety of economical status people to enjoy. Got the standard, basic burger for $13ish. Definitely pricy for what I got. It's a regular size burger, with regular toppings. Nothing fancy, except the price. Took a bite, and the beef flavor was good. It could be rarer for my taste. Still, I couldn't get on board with the price for a Roam burger. Service was straight forward, and ambiance pleasing. My problem with this restaurant is that the last six times I have gone, the place is like a day care center, there are toddlers literally at every table having melt downs. Literally every table has at least three toddlers. Marin parents seem to think this is the place to bring small screaming children. I was expecting this place to be a small burger but very tasty and filling! The burger I had was nothing special and I felt was lacking seasoning on the patty. The fries were not my favorite but I did love their root beer. Overall I felt like it was heading twords super duper vibes but lacking all the flavor. If I'm going to spend that much money on a burger I much rather go to super duper where the price is high but you never regret it because the burger is up to par. Did not have a good experience. Seats are very limited. There are bar seats with tall stools and bar space to for wheelchairs, but they should out chairs there for additional seating. For a fairly simple menu, execution was slow. We used the kiosk to order, and our food didn't come out until 20 minutes or so. The entire time no seats opened up, and the outdoor seating was occupied by people eating from Star Bird. Roam Artisan makes a tasty damn burger. I was beside myself. Their menu changes from time to time, so no telling if you will even see the one I got on their menu. I think it was Spring inspired. The season, not the metal object. There was citrus and greens, but the star of the show was definitely the patty. I don't know what they are doing, but I do know they are doing it right. Someone in that kitchen has that weird neural divergence that makes you match flavor profiles like that mouse in Ratatouille. It just wasn't good. When my teen son and friends came back and told me it was not good, I thought they were being dramatic. They weren't. We came on a slow afternoon. Ordered our meals and noticed that people that not only came after us were getting their food, but they had finished and new people ordered and got their food. Went up to the counter 2 times to ask where our food was and was told it was coming right up. It wasn't. It took 40 minutes to get our food. When it came out, the food was cold, the burger was so overcooked. I can eat a burger from medium to well-done and it is fine with me. Usually sauces will make up for it being a little overdone. These burgers were like hard, dry, charcoal briquets. They were way beyond well done. The worst part was the management and staff KNEW they messed up and offered no apologies or anything. In hind sight I think they accidentally gave our food to the table next to us, because the lady told the waiter that she didn't order that type of burger but he insisted she did. It doesn't excuse that it took 2 times to ask for our food. They should have fired it up the first time we told them we had not received it. I love Strauss' soft serve so ordered a strawberry shake. It was annoying and odd to watch everyone who was walking out with to go orders and then sitting there waiting for our two orders and having it all come separately. It's pretty basic, even if people are paying for themselves going Dutch so to speak it's pretty obvious if they're eating they're going to want to get their food at the same time. It was getting late and we needed a bite, drove past the mall to see what my options were since it was close by I saw Rome burgers which appeared to be new. I have never seen it before so we gave it a try. It was brand new being only two months old and of course, very clean, modern and comfortable, helpful, friendly staff, and we were able to order burgers that we wanted with custom add-ons a highlight that I liked was that the food being served was unreal China and not plastic plates to cheap in it. My table received the wrong fries, and when I tried to correct it, the kitchen staff had already left. I waited for more than 15 minutes, even though it wasn't very busy at 4:15 PM. While the manager offered to fix things, he didn't realize I had also ordered a burger. For a place that charges premium prices, the mediocre service was disappointing.
