Vietnamese Chicken Salad
Kyra K.

Hanging out with my friends who live in Marin, they recommended we all take our pups here for a dog-friendly no-frills meal. I've been to Gott's at the Ferry Building, but this was my first time trying their other locations. Overall, good food and service, nothing particularly memorable. The restaurant is unassumingly huge! It is extremely open and spacious with plenty of seating for all party sizes plus a bar. The menu is extensive and displayed on giant screens. You order at the front with the workers and wait for your buzzer to go off. There's a section for ordering and picking up food, and all condiments and utensils are self-serve throughout the restaurant. If you want their soft serve, they have a tablet you can order and pay at. We chose to sit outside with our pups and there was plenty of spacious seating in the plaza. My friend recommended the Vietnamese Chicken Salad. I love salads and am a sucker for a chicken one so I opted for that. No complaints, tastes as listed! The salad was fresh, filling, and well-balanced. It was a giant portion and I could only eat half. My friends enjoyed their meals and everything they ordered looked good! If you live in this part of Marin, Gott's Roadside is a great option for a fast, casual, and decent meal. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it but it's a nice spot in Bon Air. Parking is plentiful in the shopping plaza.

Double Cheeseburger, brussel sprouts, fries and rings and some dummy of a sister ordered a salad
Raymond L.

This particular Gott's is overrated in my opinion and if this is any indication of a Gott's then this will be a one and done. The double cheeseburger was a ho hum cheeseburger, nothing special. The fries and onion rings were pretty good, the rings were not real crunchy so I would order them again. Whoever heard of a burger joint that serves brussel sprouts, only in marin, they were good but I like brussel sprouts that aren't overly roasted, it's as if it was left in the oven forever. I don't know what my dear sister was thinking, but who the hell orders a salad at a burger joint, needless to say, that was the only item doggy bagged home. Silly sis.

Good menu, friendly service and good food. Big restaurant!!!! Outside seating too. They have soft serve ice cream too.

Cheeseburger and fries.

I like it here because it's not just burgers. They have a few sandwiches, a few salads, ahi tacos, and burgers. Their fries are great. We usually get the ahi tacos. They are definitely not Mexican tacos. They're closer to an Asian taco with a soy flavor and green onion. The service is pretty quick. Order ahead if you're really hungry and it's a weekend.

Dry bun, dry unseasoned burger patty, overcook crunchy fries, dill heavy ranch. Meaning huge chunks of it. More dill than sauce.

I have only ever been to the Chase Center location in San Francisco, and every time I've gone there the food has been on point. The bun is moist and not dry, the fries are crispy, and the burger patty is seasoned and not dry. This experience at this location was the complete opposite. I ordered a gluten-free turkey burger and asked them to put ALLERGY in the notes. When I went to pick up my order, it was on a regular bun. I told them to remake it. The manager looked at the receipt, apologized, and remade it. That added another 10 minutes, and it took 30 minutes total just to get one burger. When I took a bite, the gluten-free bun was extremely dry. I removed the bun and ate the patty only...which was also dry and unseasoned. The fries were wrong too, they were overcooked and too crispy. The ranch was heavy on dill to the point it was unpleasant. Huge chunks of dill. More dill than ranch sauce. The manager gave me a gift card, which was fine. But here's where it took a turn: I have been throwing up and in the bathroom since last night and still today. At this point, I'm asking myself questions I shouldn't have to ask after eating somewhere...was my food handled safely? Did my patty get dropped on the floor? I will not be using the gift card at this location. I will never return to this location. I appreciate the gift card. I do not appreciate the food poisoning.

On a Saturday evening in mid May, my family came here for dinner. It was hard to find parking at 5:40pm so we circled around the plaza. It's located next to Susie cupcakes and the line was long to order. There was so many little kids eating with their families. Lucky my brother found a table in the corner. The ambiance is nice of people watching and staff cleaning tables. We ordered at the cashier and got Texas avocado burger and shared fries. There are different sauces at the sauce counter. My burger tastes good like a homemade burger. The fries are nice and crispy, . No room for ice cream cone. I read it's coming to LA soon.

Gluten free beer from BevMo to go with our gluten free gotts burgers

Yes, it's going to be expensive. Especially if you are comparing it to fast food or chains. When you want quality food, expect this. Too many reviews complain about this. I don't get it. I don't need to get it. Onward. When you are looking for a delicious burger with sides, gotts has it! My gluten free burger was delicious. My husband bought my favorite gluten free beer from BevMo so I could recreate my favorite: Burger and a beer. Gotts was always a stop on our way to wine country when we started on the Napa side before we went over the hill to the Sonoma side for wine pickups and dinner. Delicious meal, reasonably priced, gluten free joy in my heart.

Always love going to Gott's, the vibes at the Marin location are always excellent too! They have tons of outdoor seating with heaters and fire pits so on a nice day/evening that's definitely the place to sit. We had some trouble finding a wine we liked and the staff were really helpful and guided us through all their offerings. The food is always amazing as well!

We've driven by this restaurant several times, and it is always packed! When we walked in, I was shocked at how large the establishment was and didn't realize they had a bar inside. My BF and I reached ordered a burger and split some garlic fries. The burgers and fries were great. I wish I could give half stars, because my true rating would be 2.5. & the reason for the lower review, is because of our second transaction. I wanted to try their ice cream, as almost everyone at the establishment was eating a cone, cup, or sundae. I typically don't buy ice cream out, since I can just get it at the store and eat a pint at home. But I placed my order and walked over to the pickup line. This couldn't take more than 5 minutes in my mind. I handed my ticket to the manager, and he walked in the back and I watched him just set the ticket down. As soon as I saw this, I knew he was going to forget about me. He of course then walked away and was preoccupied in conversation with the bartender. Another young kid (you could tell he was new) asked me if I was waiting for something (again - no line, 2 to-go orders waiting). I explained to him I was waiting for an ice cream. He was confused, because tickets are usually handed to someone and then it is their responsibility to get the ice cream (the manager). Another woman walked up and asked the same question - I repeated myself. & by this time the young man walked back out and asked - "did you give your ticket to someone?" I told him who I gave it to, and the manager walked over and started getting really rude with the young man. Saying he lost it and he asked him to do it. AGAIN - I will repeat, I watched this whole scenario with my BF and two people standing next to me - we all shook our heads in disagreement and I said, "no - you didn't. You walked to the back and just placed my ticket down without saying anything to anyone." He pulled the young man to the back and spoke with him. He came out scared and embarrassed and asked what I ordered. I told him, and unfortunately was given the wrong item. I couldn't see who actually made it since they were both around the corner. I usually wouldn't care, but for $6, I wanted the right ice cream. I turned around and returned the ice cream to him, and he immediately made the right one and we left. I don't like watching managers blame other people for their mistakes. It's one thing if the young employee took my ticket and forgot it, but he didn't. The manager took my ticket and walked away. The food was good, but this situation made me really uncomfortable. Even other customers were shocked at the rudeness of the manager. I heard someone say "he's just a kid." Can't say I'll be back. But this was one situation & their food is tasty. There are just other burger joints around I would prefer to support who treat their staff like family.

I received credit online for the disappointing food and placed another order on Friday for pick up. It was placed at 1:54pm after the normal lunch rush with an estimated ready time of 2:15. I left my office at 2:15 to pick it up since it hadn't updated on the app. Usually it's always ready by the time I get there so I got to the restaurant about 10-15minutes later. It was empty, no other food on the shelf expect my order. I went to pick it up and everything was checked off on the receipt. The sticker and bread were covering most of it so I didn't open the sealed lid to check. Once I got to my office I opened the container and saw that there was no chicken even though it was ordered and the receipt shows it was checked off. I was hungry and really disappointed that the main part of the meal was missing. No notes about it. Then at 3:37pm I get an email that it's ready to be picked up.... If I had waited until then that means my food would have been sitting out at room temp for almost an 1.5hrs which is unacceptable. If they were waiting to cook more chicken I don't think it would take 1.5hrs and they definitely shouldn't have had the food sitting out. There should be some communication if there are issues or if they are out of something. It shouldn't be checked off if it isn't in the container. On the app they offered me the same $10 credit I received for the other order with very small portions, but I feel that I can't trust them anymore to fulfill the order. I used to order from them often and haven't had any issues until this month.

The SO is totally in love with the roast turkey and stuffing hash. Given the opportunity, I think he'd eat it every day. (He did have it both days this past weekend.) I was a bit disappointed in the buttermilk-cornmeal griddle cake that came with my Farmers Breakfast. The taste was fine but it was tough. Chewy is just not an adjective I ever want to apply to a pancake. However, they more than redeemed themselves with the BAT Scramble. I'll need to try a few more items on the menu, but that could easily be my "go to" breakfast. Portions were generous. I took my scone home since the scramble and potatoes were more than enough. The SO had great things to say about their chai. The space is bright and airy, and tables are not so close together as to feel like you're part of your neighbor's conversations. If there is any problem with this restaurant it is with the service. As far as we could tell, there was only one server working the entire space - both indoors and out. Although she was very personable and was doing a more than admirable job considering, it was just too much for one person. (Management, take note! She's great, but could do with some assistance.) Both were fried to perfection and we loved how the sauces complimented the meal so well. The chicken's sauce was spicy, savory and you could really taste the Calabrian chili kicking through. The rockfish's sauce was tangy and was perfect with the fish. The salad was also the perfect side for the meal. Portion were huge and we were able to eat it for another meal.

This was a bit spicy but not bad at all and this is coming from a wimp who can barely tolerate siracha. The chicken is so crunchy and juicy. I'd compare the sauce to almost like an indian curry like (but not really). 2. Fried Chicken Green sauce: This sauce tasted more like carribean or coconut-y style. Both this and the spicy one was delicious but I actually liked this one more. I loved the coconut/creamy flavor of the sauce and it went so well with the freshly fried chicken. Overall, hands down the best asian food in Marin. There isn't even a question or comparison. The portions are huge, the flavors are fresh and innovative. The service is also great. The shop itself can it a bit hard to find as it isn't really labeled. Its just a small shack in the parking lot of Scotty's Market.

The only thing soft on the plate was the watery run-off from the vegetables they heaped into the eggs: Too many chewy mushrooms and HUGE. Too many cherry tomatoes. I had to dig to find the eggs. I imagine some tech-bro's wife or some hedgefund community doodler wanted a pet project with zero idea about food or food quality or how to treat and retain employees because what happened to MHBB is astonishing. It's rude and insulting to anyone who opened this restaurant and put in their best to keep the name and claim to be catering to the same people.
