Just got burger and fries and the fries were so soggy it was mush in my mouth. When I asked it they can be fried more they said it's just the garlic butter on top that makes it mushy. I might have believed them if I hadn't had this dish before and had crispy fries with the garlic butter on top. Food is pretty good but kinda on the pricier side for what it is. That said they do use Nieman ranch beef so it's way better quality than in n out. What annoys me is they take forever to make food even when the place is empty, portions are small for the price.... and lastly, they won't sell me a 1/2 order of fries... so they'd rather not sell me any fries rather than just a half order? Ok, it's 2005 and you show up late to a bbq and all the food is gone except a few over done burgers from a Costco sleeve of frozen patties. Those are better. I want to like it and but the burgers are always hard, dry, never juicy and the bun is SO thick. I've made excuses before in my head like, maybe they are super busy, maybe the cook is new, nope. As with my previous review, the split-top bun hot dog ("Works", 86 the sauerkraut!) is really good. However, since the fries suck, I ordered onion rings this time. Five rings for $3.99, and they were just as bad as the limp fries. The crispy coating was hanging off the onion, and the onion itself was tasteless and soggy. Just don't understand why Gott's cannot get these two menu items right. This for real was probably my last time here since I love fries or onion rings with burgers and dogs. Finally, this is a HUGE destination for families. There are numerous tables outside, but many groups choose to sit inside. While this is not a problem with kids who've been taught to behave in public, the noise level inside from kids running around, jumping on tables and chairs, and screaming/squealing is sometimes unbearable. I'm not anti-kid, but leash and muzzle them if they get out of hand. (Better yet, take them out to the car.) EVERYone paid for an enjoyable day out, not to listen to your little darlings act up. Burgers were okay although the Gotts in Napa seems better. Not sure what the difference is, but the burgers here were a bit dry and the patty was over cooked to well which I prefer medium. Nothing to write home about. Fries were lacking as well. Smallnpieces of fries seems like we got the bottom of the leftovers. Disappointing. Won't be coming back for a while. I have to say the reason for the four stars is for the Ahi Sandwich. It does cost 15 bucks but that's the price of lunch in Marin County. I have also had the burgers and they are delicious. The employees are nice and the place is aways clean. Parking can be a pain sometimes but it's not to bad. I will be back for the Ahi sandwich and recommend it to anyone who likes a good tuna sandwich. read more

Hard to understand all of the negative reviews... Oh wait, I know why! Marin County people with sticks up their you know where. The food is good, the atmosphere is amazing, and it's lots of fun. Everyone who lives here should be happy they have a sophisticated burger joint like this in their neighborhood. Many areas of the country have nothing like this. We can sit and have fast food casual and drink craft beer in an upscale environment. Yes, it's a little bit pricey, but people don't seem to understand the high cost of doing business in this region. I ordered a Western Bacon Blue Ring burger and the Chili Cheese Fries, so the burger and the fries looked terrific, the only problem is that they really weren't, as soon as I received my order I went in on the Chili Cheese Fries, the Chili Cheese they poured over the fries was hot but the fries underneath, we're very stale, and some if not most, were hard to chew and break down in general, I was going to walk up to the counter to complain, but didn't want to ruin the restaurant's reputation out loud, so just put up with it and moved on to the burger which was somewhat tasty after scraping most of the crumbled Bleu cheese off of it which made for a less salty burger, the vibe inside the restaurant was pretty decent for an eating experience but they kept all the doors open for some reason on a chilly day while the ceiling fans were going which made for a rather unpleasant eating experience, there was an option for tipping at the register for 15-25%, but the funny thing is all they do is ring you up for the order and provide 0 services outside of whipping up your order for you so I didn't offer one which may be the reason why I was served stale fries in the first place, if I ever come back to this burger joint I would probably choose a cheeseburger and some regular fries otherwise I recommend you save your money and grab a Whopper from BK instead, sorry! read more

July: The wait for the food would have been fine had the food come out hot. The fries (sweet potato and a regular fry) both came out lukewarm, as well and three burgers (two cheese burgers and an impossible burger). My grandma got a Cobb salad and you can't really go wrong with that, thankfully. Everything tastes okay but food coming out luke warm is a big bummer when you spend $70 on 3 burgers, two orders of fries, and 3 drinks. You order at the front desk area from a large menu and then you find a seat with a beeper to tell you when your order is ready. When it beeps- you walk up to another area to pick up your order. We ordered the Wisconsin burger and the Avocado BLT and plain fries. The fries were delicious, but the burger and sandwich were just mediocre. Very bland on flavor and the burger was a bit small for the price. The ABLT has no seasoning what so ever and the bacon (Zoe's) was just a piece of meat. I guess it's better than what was here before but man, these guys are in a crowded field. I can sincerely say that In and Out is just as good at half the price. And Superduper is the best flavored burger going as far as I'm concerned. I'm told it's 60% grain and 40% grass. Five guys is very good too but the closest is Petaluma. Yes, kids running around all other the place and outside. Very much a community social vibe. Loved the open fire pit outside. The menu is very diverse so it's not just about burgers and fries. The tacos and salads looked superb. The wine abs beer bar was beautiful. The place was squeaky clean. I got the classic cheeseburger. It was ok as the bun kinda lacked flavor and fell apart and not enough sauce. My friends and child hit the chicken strips they looked and tasted great. Very crispy and tender. Fries good, lots of varieties. The sweet potato fries were spicy but not spectacular. I'm not a fan of these fancy homemade ketchup. Tge Mexican. Street corn mmmmm. The house made ranch was good tho. The kids mini corn dogs was not enough food and the wait to order another would've been way too long. Nice restaurant, but it's better in San Francisco (Embarcaderro). The staff are not well trained, and customer service is mediocre. Yes it's ALWAYS crowded... this is to be expected. However, after standing in a disneyland line for a burger and shake... they give you a notification item, and then never notify you when the foods ready. Literally, the food will be standing still, unorganized and no indication. Sure this is not a big deal if your standing by the counter... but there are hundreds of other people there. Also, the pricing is pretty high, and when you ask for specific instructions, cross your fingers it comes out as you want it... 3 stars for lack of organizational effort, and 3 stars for minimal crowd control - structuring around it. This is a convenient spot for a quick lunch, or a place to take your kids, but not a place I'm drawn to. It's really an upscale fast-food restaurant, with burgers and fries and salads, and beer, wine and shakes for beverages. You order at the entrance, get an electronic gizmo, go find a seat, and wait about ten minutes for the gizmo to go off so you can pick up your lunch. On the plus side, the food is good. We liked both the burger and the salad that we split for lunch. On the down side, this is not really a comfortable place. The interior is industrial chic, metal chairs and wood benches and tables, concrete floor, big glass walls, no artwork. It's a bit chaotic with kids, and sounds travel inside, giving it a cafeteria-like feeling. It's like any fast food restaurant really, with nicer benches...you could clean the entire interior with a fire hose. There are tables outside which are quieter, though you're in shopping center foot traffic. We actually had a pretty bad experience. Our trainee cashier did not properly enter the number for our gizmo on our order, so we never got beeped. When we finally got the food a half-hour later, the burger was stone-cold. To their credit, they made us a new one without any questions. When we ordered a half-bottle of wine with our lunch, we had to walk all the way to the back to get glasses from the bartender. The staff are polite, helpful, working hard, and doing their best, but the concept does not appeal to me. Plastic forks and spoons, paper plates and wrappers, plastic straws, paper towels for napkins. Extra paper 'napkins' are actually available from a paper towel dispenser on the wall next to the bar in back. Everything (except the straws) may be compostable, but it's still a lot of trash. This may be a good place to take your kids. And it's fine for a quick lunch, if the systems are working and you don't mind paying somewhat higher prices for decent fast food. read more

Their garlic fries are incredible. They are so good and not greasy (any more than normal fries) and aren't covered in minced garlic. Also, my wife and I now have a poke taco addiction. I would have uploaded a picture, but we are scarfed them down too quickly. We ordered online, their COVID protocols are pretty good. The person giving you your food are not the people handling money. The more I think about a recent lunch at Gotts, the more I feel like a sucker. No doubt, Gotts arrival was something I looked forward to. The restaurant is cavernous with plenty of seating inside and out. The dining concept is fast casual. The menu is large, with daily specials, so finding something you will enjoy should not be difficult. There I was, all excited to give it a go. So.... First, I get to stand in line nearly 20 minutes, with just 4 people in front of me. Then, I place my order for the Vietnamese salad. I'm handed a device that will buzz when my meal is ready to pick up.10 minutes go by, & the buzzing begins. I walk up to the counter & now get to wait to retrieve my salad because a family of 4 is also at the counter grabbing their food & trying to decide if my salad belongs to them. Ok, I get my salad, in a compostable bowl, with a compostable fork. I go back to my table, take one look at the huge pieces of chicken on top of the salad & realize I need a knife, which of course they had not bothered to provide with the fork. Back up to the counter to wait to ask for a knife. How about you train your staff to provide all the necessary utensils, or, put them where customers can easily get them without waiting in line, again? Now, the food. Blah!!! This salad cost $12.95 before tax. Portions are small. Taste of the actual salad & dressing was good. The chicken was overcooked, dry & pretty much tasteless, but, it was crunchy. After finishing, I get to bus my empty containers to a station to dispose. So I paid an exorbitant amount for a mediocre salad that I had to: -wait in line to order -retrieve myself -find the right utensils myself -clean up after myself Next time, I'm going back to Rustic Bakery where they charge the same for an excellent Asian salad. It comes in a real bowl with actual silverware that is delivered to my table by a helpful server. Gotts, sorry, but you need to up the ante big time at these prices. read more

This place has a really nice seating inside and outside. 7 of us were there for lunch. I tried their burger, fries, onion rings and salads. I liked the burger with blue cheese & bacon, and onion rings, but fries were pretty dry. The salads was okay. I really think it is pricey for the amount of food you get- a burger with fries or onion rings and soft drink would easily cost around $17-$20. In additional, it took abit of time for all of us to get our food. By the time the 6th and 7th person got their food. The 1st -4th person almost or finished their meals, especially the burgers were not that big in terms of portion. read more

My handheld device did not go off and it took me approaching to inquire only to see my 16 dollar burger sitting cold in a box!
