I've been here a few times and tried a few different things. Ahi Tuna tacos - these are a winner. Yum!! Chicken tenders - pretty good. Chili - okay. Hamburger - gross. Like dried cardboard. The fries are decent. I thought the burgers would be so much better and they were a huge disappointment. They didn't seem like fresh meat. More like a frozen patty. Too thick and weird consistency and cooked waaaaay too long. Horrible. I will stick with the tuna tacos the next time I'm there. read more

I've had solid experiences and food here until tonight. In an effort to support a local restaurant during COVID I had my husband place a to go order. Went to pick it up and waited over 20 plus minutes to find out it was under my husbands name. I gave them the choice of both names when I arrived. Despite waiting patiently, the nasty female cashier started bitching loud enough that I could hear it. This was after I worked a 12 hour shift in emergency services. A nice male employee told the woman, it was ok that the order was placed under another name. For this overpriced and rude experience, I received a cold meal. I could have overlooked this, if it wasn't for an employee being so disrespectful. Despite this, I still tipped for the rest of the "normal" workers. read more

Gotts has some great qualities. The ambiance is ideal for families and groups, it's casual but nice. The menu is probably 50% awesome, the rest is whatever. They have a more than decent drink menu, kids items, etc. There's nothing wrong with the service, maybe it takes a little long but as long as they serve quality food, a little bit of a wait is within reason. My go-to is the falafel salad and a beer. Leaving this review because I'm surprised they only get 3 stars. read more

The burgers and fries are good. I had the cheese clean Parmesan sandwich , which was ok, but the sauce was not like home made.

Finally made it to Gott's!! Hella big and delicious burgers. And the IPA selection is amazing. I'm a convert. Time to move to Marin?!? Outside seating is the best! Edited: Docked two stars. Now that it's four hours later, I regret to say that two members of our party might have food poisoning. Food is pretty good but kinda on the pricier side for what it is. That said they do use Nieman ranch beef so it's way better quality than in n out. What annoys me is they take forever to make food even when the place is empty, portions are small for the price.... and lastly, they won't sell me a 1/2 order of fries... so they'd rather not sell me any fries rather than just a half order? Stupid. Also- Chili is more like meatball soup - they don't break down the meat. It's gross. I've had better chili at ski resorts... which is really saying something. read more

Super average. The food isn't hot when it comes out. If you look in the kitchen, the fries etc are sitting under heat lamps. Our onion rings and burger were almost room temp. Is that health code appropriate???? Underwhelming dining experience. Plus the restaurant was freezing. Everyone was eating in their coats. If it wasn't for the location so close to home and their Vietnamese chicken salad, I would have no other reason to come back. Just got burger and fries and the fries were so soggy it was mush in my mouth. When I asked it they can be fried more they said it's just the garlic butter on top that makes it mushy. I might have believed them if I hadn't had this dish before and had crispy fries with the garlic butter on top. I hadn't even walked away from the pickup counter when I asked for replacement and they said no. Fewer and fewer reasons to come back. read more

Third time there. Looks like you're in for a treat... Choose your meal/ this time I chose a bacon cheese burger, cooked medium, with fries and a soda. Burger came out not hot, pretty well done, cold toppings, not tasty at all. Fries were also bland and Luke warm. Soda had a free refill so that was cool. Really disappointed in their lack of vegan options. Why does the SF location have vegan soft serve and not here?! Makes no sense to drive all the way to the city if we have you right here. We've had their hamburgers at the top of our "best" list for a while, but I'm disappointed to report that the overall taste has gone way down. We usually get the California Burger, what this review is based on. It used to be juicy and tasty, but we've noticed the past 3-4 times, the meat patty is now tasteless, hard (like overground or overhandled), and smaller (comes nowhere near the edges of the bun). I guess they're saving money or something, which always hurts quality. I'll be looking for a better burger experience elsewhere. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Gott's Roadside. I tried their teriyaki chicken burger and was quite content. Their seasonal pumpkin milkshake was quite delightful as well. Their fries were a little underwhelming, but happy with everything else. The indoor seating is quite spacious and they are really on top of their cleaning there. read more

I have to say the reason for the four stars is for the Ahi Sandwich. It does cost 15 bucks but that's the price of lunch in Marin County. I have also had the burgers and they are delicious. The employees are nice and the place is aways clean. Parking can be a pain sometimes but it's not to bad. I will be back for the Ahi sandwich and recommend it to anyone who likes a good tuna sandwich. read more

Burgers were okay although the Gotts in Napa seems better. Not sure what the difference is, but the burgers here were a bit dry and the patty was over cooked to well which I prefer medium. Nothing to write home about. Fries were lacking as well. Smallnpieces of fries seems like we got the bottom of the leftovers. Disappointing. Won't be coming back for a while. In and out burgers is even better and more worth the price. Sad. read more

Hard to understand all of the negative reviews... Oh wait, I know why! Marin County people with sticks up their you know where. The food is good, the atmosphere is amazing, and it's lots of fun. Everyone who lives here should be happy they have a sophisticated burger joint like this in their neighborhood. Many areas of the country have nothing like this. We can sit and have fast food casual and drink craft beer in an upscale environment. Yes, it's a little bit pricey, but people don't seem to understand the high cost of doing business in this region. Do the math, and it'll add up. Oh, and while you're doing the math, go check out Gott's! read more

I've always enjoyed the food and service at Gott's. Back when I commuted to SF for work, I ate at their ferry building location. Happy they've opened a location in Marin. Stopped in for lunch today and had the citrus avocado chop salad. It was as delicious as I remember it! Also treated myself to a coffee shake. July: The wait for the food would have been fine had the food come out hot. The fries (sweet potato and a regular fry) both came out lukewarm, as well and three burgers (two cheese burgers and an impossible burger). My grandma got a Cobb salad and you can't really go wrong with that, thankfully. Everything tastes okay but food coming out luke warm is a big bummer when you spend $70 on 3 burgers, two orders of fries, and 3 drinks. We're visiting from MI and we're definitely not coming back during this trip. A shame, really. read more

You order at the front desk area from a large menu and then you find a seat with a beeper to tell you when your order is ready. When it beeps- you walk up to another area to pick up your order. We ordered the Wisconsin burger and the Avocado BLT and plain fries. The fries were delicious, but the burger and sandwich were just mediocre. Very bland on flavor and the burger was a bit small for the price. The ABLT has no seasoning what so ever and the bacon (Zoe's) was just a piece of meat. As with my previous review, the split-top bun hot dog ("Works", 86 the sauerkraut!) is really good. However, since the fries suck, I ordered onion rings this time. Five rings for $3.99, and they were just as bad as the limp fries. The crispy coating was hanging off the onion, and the onion itself was tasteless and soggy. Just don't understand why Gott's cannot get these two menu items right. This for real was probably my last time here since I love fries or onion rings with burgers and dogs. Finally, this is a HUGE destination for families. There are numerous tables outside, but many groups choose to sit inside. While this is not a problem with kids who've been taught to behave in public, the noise level inside from kids running around, jumping on tables and chairs, and screaming/squealing is sometimes unbearable. I'm not anti-kid, but leash and muzzle them if they get out of hand. (Better yet, take them out to the car.) EVERYone paid for an enjoyable day out, not to listen to your little darlings act up. Ok, it's 2005 and you show up late to a bbq and all the food is gone except a few over done burgers from a Costco sleeve of frozen patties. Those are better. I want to like it and but the burgers are always hard, dry, never juicy and the bun is SO thick. I've made excuses before in my head like, maybe they are super busy, maybe the cook is new, nope. Today was not busy so no excuses. I'm sure this place is kept in business by the many kids that frequent here, as it's one of the only burger spots in the area. I guess it's better than what was here before but man, these guys are in a crowded field. I can sincerely say that In and Out is just as good at half the price. And Superduper is the best flavored burger going as far as I'm concerned. I'm told it's 60% grain and 40% grass. Five guys is very good too but the closest is Petaluma. Decent food and it is within a nice plaza with a lot of other things to eat/get. Burger isn't amazing but good since there are not a lot of good burger joints in Marin. Garlic fries aren't traditionally made as the kind of make a garlic sauce to cover them, but they do the job. Modern and cute set up. Good for big parties. read more

Loved this place. Only giving it 4 stars because of the long wait. Other than that, we really enjoyed dining here. The atmosphere is really appealing to families. Yes, kids running around all other the place and outside. Very much a community social vibe. Loved the open fire pit outside. The staff was working really hard to get orders out and they were extremely friendly Day abs professional and they seemed to be having fun also. The menu is very diverse so it's not just about burgers and fries. The tacos and salads looked superb. The wine abs beer bar was beautiful. The place was squeaky clean. I got the classic cheeseburger. It was ok as the bun kinda lacked flavor and fell apart and not enough sauce. My friends and child hit the chicken strips they looked and tasted great. Very crispy and tender. Fries good, lots of varieties. The sweet potato fries were spicy but not spectacular. I'm not a fan of these fancy homemade ketchup. Tge Mexican. Street corn mmmmm. The house made ranch was good tho. The kids mini corn dogs was not enough food and the wait to order another would've been way too long. Make sure you order everything you want right away as the wait times are super long. They have a very decent drink list including wine abs beer. The specials looked great too (bruschetta). Nice restaurant, but it's better in San Francisco (Embarcaderro). The staff are not well trained, and customer service is mediocre. Yes it's ALWAYS crowded... this is to be expected. However, after standing in a disneyland line for a burger and shake... they give you a notification item, and then never notify you when the foods ready. Literally, the food will be standing still, unorganized and no indication. Sure this is not a big deal if your standing by the counter... but there are hundreds of other people there. Also, the pricing is pretty high, and when you ask for specific instructions, cross your fingers it comes out as you want it... 3 stars for lack of organizational effort, and 3 stars for minimal crowd control - structuring around it.
