We were staying at an airbnb nearby and this was an easy 10 min walk. We got the mahi mahi tacos which were unique and special. The fish was perfectly cooked, soft and flavorful. They seem to be on top of food trends, mixing citrus with savory entrees: the sweet orange with fish, cilantro and lime was really good. Interior was large, modern, and clean. For a fast casual place, this exceeded expectations. read more

Gott's Roadside delivers on high quality burgers that are worth making a stop for. Being relatively new to the area, my coworker recommended I check Gott's primarily for their ahi burger. Apparently, it is pretty big up in the Bay with four shops with one in Saint Helena, San Francisco, Walnut Crek, and this one in Larkspur. However, because of the relatively low Yelp score for this location, I was hesitant to try especially since none of these places are that close to where I live. Fortunately, I decided to throw caution to the wind and I was pleasantly surprised... It was actually better than the reviews led me to believe! Here are the few things that I ordered: Ahi burger: A little pricey for a burger but with a sweet wasabi crunchy slaw that contrasts well with the tuna that has a nice sear on the outside. Not may be worth the price but worth trying once. Kimchi Burger: Slightly spicy pieces of kimchi melted into gooey cheese slabbed in between greasy piece of meat was definitely worth having again. Vanilla Soft Serve: Simple, but smooth and creamy. Again a little pricey, but perfect on a hot sunny summer day. As part of a plaza, there is plenty of parking spaces. The service was pretty fast and efficient. Overall, Gott's is full of things that are filled with tasty offerings that are worth trying if only everything was not as expensive.... read more

Love this place! I got ahi tacos and my daughter got corn dogs and lemonade. We both loved our food. I went back and tried the Mexican corn which I didn't love but it was interesting. They had a lobster roll on the menu as well as many other things I want to go back and try this summer! There were a lot of people working there and all were super friendly. The guy at the bar offered ice for the free water which was very appreciated on the hot day. There's ample indoor and outdoor seating, like for hundreds of people, it's huge! Bring a big group (but expect to $pay up$ for the quality)! read more

Easy parking, the line moves quickly and the food comes out promptly. The portions are ideally a bit smaller than I'd like for the price, but oh my goodness is it delicious, which makes up for it in my opinion. We've only been here twice due to living four+ hours away, but both times I ordered the ahi poke tacos and practically pine for them when I'm home. Will absolutely be returning for them again! read more

The Ahi burger was delicious, but at $17 without any side dishes, it is a bit on the exorbitant side. The tasty cabbage slaw on the burger was zesty and a good counterpart to the patty. The atmosphere was host to a very lively midweek lunch crowd, including lots of kids. It's definitely a fun place to grab some gourmet American fare, but be prepared to drop a sizable chunk of change. read more

Gott's Roadside - Delicious but pricy ahi burger. - American Near Me - Greenbrae, California

Of all the gotts location, the one in Greenbrae is the worst. Don't have to send food back to have it prepared right elsewhere, but often do so here. April 24 visit-- french fries were undercooked and they came back over done. Hamburger was undercooked sent it back came back burned barely edible. This type of food should not be hard to cook correctly. Gotts manages to do it right in Palo Alto, San Francisco and Saint Helena. What is the problem with gotts in greenbrae? Very unlikely to return to this location. read more

More like 3.5 stars Happy there's finally a Gott's Roadside in Marin, and double happy it replaced what used to be Chevy's & Wipeout - RIP! Those were our hangout spots after little league, soccer, football, softball, lacrosse, basketball, etc. The days when it was feasible to feed a family of five or an entire team! Not so happy about the prices these days, definitely not Taylor's Refresher prices anymore (read about it). What can you do, it's NorCal, and it's Marin County...say no more! Would not want to feed a family of five here, not including beer and wine. This place makes Belcampo's burgers and fries affordable ya feel me LOL. Overall, hearty and juicy burgers; although, I also like Roam burgers, but at least Gott's is way better than Walhburgers - yikes! There are so many burger places to choose from, be on the lookout for Shake Shack in MCM. There's plenty of parking at this location. There's something for everyone (vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, etc.). Nice bar in the back area with a TV if you want to be separated from all the families with little kids running around. 'Til we MEAT again ~ cheers & see you on Yelp! read more

Great burgers, really good wine and organic soft serve for dessert. What more do you need? Service is similar to the old time drive ins, but they give you an electric beeper to let you know your order is ready. They were very accommodating with changes to the menu burgers. They are dog friendly so our pup joined us on the dining patio. Wonderful afternoon! read more

We tried this place with another couple and all of us were disappointed. We arrived at 12:10 and it was nearly empty except for two tables of employees having lunch. We lined up to order but no one came to help us. Eventually, I walked to where another clump of employees were standing and asked if we could order. I was told that we were in the wrong spot. We moved three feet, and someone slow-walked up to take our orders. It took about 15 minutes for a salad, 2 sad fish tacos, and burger to arrive. The other order was forgotten. We were in a hurry by that time and so skipped reordering. Perhaps it works for families with young children and dogs who want to have beer or wine, but we won't be back. read more

Came on a weekday for lunch so it was relatively empty. There is a lot of seating though so I'm thinking the weekends get really busy. My group ordered ahead of time online and we still had to wait for the food. I got the California burger which was quite expensive and didn't come with anything else such as fries. The burger was okay, a bit too greasy for me if I had to be honest. It was good, but not mind-blowing like I would expect a $16 burger to be like. A good "safe" spot to bring friends, family, co-workers to, but the quantity and quality for the price really knocked off a few stars for me. read more

God awful food poisoning from this location yesterday. Can barely manage. Stay away from anything that has chicken.

We had to give Gott's a second chance, cause a friend of us will be working here. We didn't thought the food stand out when we visited there place at the Ferry Building in San Francisco. We tried it a couple years ago, and it was just food. We wasn't inspired by it at that time, so we never had the urge to do it again. Well it's surely also that you have a lot of good burger places in the mean time. But we have been pleasant surprised. We had the blue cheese burger with veggie paddy and the Californian with turkey paddy. Both have been very juicy and delicious. My turkey paddy was just a little bit slightly over cooked, but the moist onions had made up for it. Very delicious Combination. As side we had the fries and onion rings, which both have been good. The fries Crispy and the onion rings have a good tasty batter. So, yes we will be back it is still "just" another burger joint but the service was outstanding friendly the quality very good and now that they are close we will surely come back. There is also not a star to deduct cause everything was good. It is up to the daily specials to make you want come back for another round of food. The location nice, spacious and clean. And a lot of parking space helps a lot too. If you looking for a good made Burger that do not disappoint you will find it here. I am always wondering if I should take a star off when a better place is around. In this case it would be "the corner" in the village in Corte Madeira. The quality there is as good as Gott's but you create your own burger there. But since I think they did everything right in this location it wouldn't be fair to Deduct a star. So you just have to read all my reviews, lol. Ps. For all vegetarian and vegan people: beside the veggie paddy ( which contains lactose ) they also have the vegan "impossible burger" paddy which is made to 100% out of plants. Impossible burger is a brand and you will find that paddy throughout the states soon. We had tried that paddy in another burger joint and it is very tasty. It Imitates The favor of a beef paddy very close. So if you want to try that get it here at Gott's in marin! read more

I absolutely love Gotts!! Super family friendly and great burgers and fries. I recommend trying their sweet potato fries with either ketchup or barbecue sauce. Their chicken burger is really good. I just got the impossible burger with no cheese for the first time which is a plant-based meat alternative burger patty. I was super impressed and will be getting it in the future as it helps save our environment and is better for overall health. I will be honest though sometimes I have eaten Gotts and it has been extremely greasy and made me feel sick afterwords but it depends on what you order. They also have good salads so I have heard so if you're not a burger person you can always opt for a salad! read more

Very consistent and great for causal family meal out. We have a few go to orders like the fish tacos, grilled cheese, and BLT. Solid beer selection also and cool bar area. Overall this a solid addition to Bon Air and is more of a family spot than the other Gotts locations. read more

I love fish and shrimp tacos and have sampled as many as I can around Marin. The Ahi Poke tacos were a wonderful and unexpected surprise. I especially enjoyed the crispy taco shells, which nicely complemented the ahi, avocado and cabbage. They were easy to pick up by hand and eat one at a time. They could have used a bit more of the sauce, but I will just request a little extra next time. The mahi mahi tacos, on the other hand, were a huge disappointment. Topped with big pieces of orange that were sour tasting and too big for a bite. The fish was meh, and the cabbage was absolutely NAKED, no dressing or sauce. The whole thing was pretty flavorless. Definitely do not recommend. read more

This place is just so stupidly expensive for what it is... I wish I had taken a picture of the frozen yogurt we ate to give you a sense of how ridiculously small it was... $10, one small fro yo, three toppings... That is without tip. It was tiny. The ahi burger is good, the fish tacos are just really OK and the garlic fries were cold and a very small portion. $70 for the meal. So dumb. The staff are great though. read more

Terrible first experience with this restaurant. Ordered a VEGAN burger, emphasizing on everything vegan. Said no cheese, no sauce, no egg bun, no bacon. Ended up with an impossible CHEESE burger. And probably the sweet potato fries had a non vegan coating. It costed me $20 with no drinks. It's 2019, please adapt to a dietary restriction like veganism. Gott's Roadside - With cheese - American Near Me - Greenbrae, California

I've been going to the original location since I was a kid. My wife wanted burgers and our normal place was closed, so we went to Gott's in Greenbrae. It took about twenty minutes to get our food and it was lukewarm. The food was sitting on the counter for five minutes, my wife was commenting that maybe it was ours and how it was weird the staff was talking and not calling it out. We were just hungry enough not to ask for them to redo it, but seriously, it was unpleasant and I don't think we'll be back. The food tasted good, but the wait is absurd when there were few people there and plenty of staff, and cold fries are gross. read more

Good food. But fries were ordered crispy and didn't come out that way. Otherwise fine

The food is good, but if you're picking up or a delivery driver, they can take up to half an hour just for a burger. Not efficient even when it's empty- it's a shame because I've been there both as a deliver driver and a customer, so it's disappointing. The restaurant is at least fairly clean and in a nice area read more

The food's good, if a tad overpriced ($30 -35 for a burger, fries and soda). Happy to pay a premium for folks busting out in the midst of a pandemic. There's two unfortunate reasons I'm not coming back here after frequenting this place for the last three years. (1) Service: The service is getting worse each time we're here to the point where you really question why you're here. That point's the here and now for me. Really aggressive, unhelpful staff. Like, really aggressive. I get that it's a tough market right now for employers. But hiring belligerent folks who don't know the first thing about courtesy is counterintuitive to running a business. (2) Food tastes yuck if you order Home Delivery. Doesn't matter whether you pick up or have it delivered. The burgers and fries just don't travel well. The cheeses harden. The burger buns get...wet. The fries...they just die even the soda tastes...diluted Did I say the service sucks?! read more

UPDATE: Had to re-review Gotts since our last two visits have not gone well, and today's visit was even worse. First off, our order (Impossible Burger, Cheeseburger, Onion Rings, Watermelon Special) took 20mins to come out. On a busy day I'd be ok with that, but the restaurant was almost empty with just a few other customers. Second, my cheeseburger was WELL done as was the Impossible Burger. So well done that it was actually chewy. :( Lastly, every stall (3) in the ladies room was OUT of toilet paper. Given how expensive Gott's is (for a self-serve burger joint) I'd expect much better food and facilities. With Shake Shack and The Counter nearby, I don't think we'll be going back to Gott's. read more

Who doesn't like Gotts? Nobody! Everything on the menu is delicious. I usually order the mahi-mahi tacos they are perfect and they make the absolute best impossible burger ever! You will no way no the difference it's impossible The one in St. Helena is better than the one near Stanford. I don't know why but I've had them both many times and that's what I have come away with. Plus St. Helena adds a nostalgia because I spent 19 years has a Calistogan and worked in St. Helena for over a decade so maybe I'm just being bias ‍ I'm going to try the one in Marin county so I will share comparisons. read more

My family has raved about this place for a while and considering I'm vegan, they urged me to come here. After two trips to The Bay Area, we finally came here with high expectations. As we ordered our impossible burgers, I was looking on the screen and it says bun (egg), so I asked a bun without egg since we want 100% vegan burgers, which should be vegan anyways since it's one of the biggest growing VEGAN brands. She asked if we wanted everything on it, and we said yes. She asked for a different bread alternative and we said wheat, thinking it was a wheat bun, not toast. As we got our burgers, we instantly started to devour them, but noticed there was no lettuce, tomato, "salsa verde" which was on the ticket along with the sauces. There was toast, the impossible burger meat, and a TON of ketchup and mustard. It was like you were at a picnic with children and they squirted almost half the bottle of mustard and ketchup onto their burger. For such a pricey burger ($13), it was pretty minuscule, disappointing and didn't live up to the marketing standards. Mind you, on top of that all, with a restaurant filled with maybe 7-10 customers and a big staff, it took quite a while for two impossible burgers, one order of fries and one order of onion rings. We decided to just tell them that things were missing on our burger, not expecting money back and the response was "you ordered a vegan burger", you have to build it. How can someone know that if you don't tell us, yet ask what sauces we want on it with our response of "everything." read more

Gott's almost got an extra star from me because they had Pliny the Younger available yesterday. It was great to finally sample this precious liquid and I didn't have to stand in line in Santa Rosa for hours. The beer was very good, but not worth a long wait. When we got in line at 3pm, there was a line of around 30 people. By the time we left, there was no line. Not sure if they still had any Pliny. I didn't like that they make you order a food item with each beer. I ordered some fries just to satisfy their requirement. I don't typically eat when I'm enjoying a beer. I'd give the fries 2 stars for being a bit soggy. read more

I was initially impressed with the Gott's Roadside at the Bon Air Center location, but over time after consistent visits, my thoughts/feelings have changed. Good: the fries and shakes are great. Bad: service is slow, food is far too expensive for what it is (pretty presentation, but lacking flavor), the bar area is very sterile and uncomfortable, and the way the TVs are placed/positioned makes it awkward to watch anything. Other Gott's Roadside locations (Napa and St. Helena) are super excellent in efficiency of orders produced from the kitchen AND the food has superb quality and taste. I think the Bon Air location needs to do a little soul searching and look into what they are missing... read more
