If you want quality work that is consistent then I suggest you find a company other than GotPrint. We had brochures printed by this company with good results for two of our orders. We ordered another round of brochures and the coloring was off. We used the exact same file as we used in the past so we knew this was not our fault. We got the same explanation that everyone else on yelp has gotten. They told us there is a variability with gang printing and that the terms of service specify this. We are left with brochures that we cannot use because they do not reflect the correct coloring of our product. We spent a good amount of money on this. When we first called GotPrint it appeared they were going to honestly look into this problem until we got an email saying the product they sent us was fine. After trying to call GotPrint again to talk with someone in quality control we were advised we would have to email the department. We received a similar response to our second email at which point I emailed asked for a phone number of someone we could talk to. I quickly realized that their goal is to make it hard to talk to anyone because they don't want to deal with you or accept that they made a mistake. We finally did talk with someone in quality control and after arguing with the staff they agreed to refund us but advised in order to receive the refund, we would have to return the 30 pound box of brochures to them. So we paid for the shipping to get the poor product to us and now we are going to have to pay to send back useless brochures that they will just be tossing. This makes no sense and is a complete waste of money and our time. We haven't sent them back yet because we are just so frustrated and surprised that anybody would find it acceptable to run their company this way plus we are finding it hard to pay to send back brochures that we were just going to throw away in the recycle! Had they just accepted they made a mistake and printed our brochures correctly, we would probably remain a customer but now we will have to look elsewhere. Also of note is that they guarantee 100% satisfaction on their website....but only on the first run (which is in smaller print by the way) I find it odd that they can guarantee 100% satisfaction on the first run but then they don't care after that?? They told me that on the phone too when I questioned that. So I said...oh so you get your customers by doing a good job on the first run so you can basically screw them down the road once you have your customer's trust. Sounds like a great way to run a business. There are plenty of printing companies out there so don't take a chance with GotPrint. You can see by these reviews that there are plenty of complaints. The customer service is HORRIBLE. I was told one thing and because of their mistake there isn't time to print my cards for the date needed. They don't seem to think that should be a problem because as I was told today by another "gem" of a customer service person "They will resolve it on Monday". No not resolve it for me, but talk to their customer service person and find out why he told me that. In their estimation that was resolving my problem. HUH? This is truly the worst company I have ever dealt with! I placed a reorder of business cards and they sent the wrong name to us. I clearly told them the name I wanted. I then called them to get this fixed and they said they would not help me in any way because they couldn't look up the recorded call. I will never do business again with GotPrint. I had Business Cards, Envelopes and Letterheads printed all in the same order. Half my Business Cards were the slate blue they were supposed to be, the others were Purple. Not just a little different blue, but Purple. They said that the percentage color difference was within industry standards, which is crazy to me. They don't even have a human check to make sure the colors are correct. I just received my order of 500 trifecta black business cards from got print and for the most part I am really impressed. They are super great quality and thickness and are sure to stand out. I did have to discard about 10 business cards because of jagged edges and having dirt all over them but these were the cards at the edges of the box and I can't really complain when the rest of the cards came out so well. Also I feel I should mention something..these cards took about a week and a half to arrive and I chose ups ground shipping. When I asked if I could upgrade my shipping I was told I couldn't because they don't do rush orders on trifecta business cards. I then asked if I would have purchased faster shipping at checkout if it would have arrived the same time and I was told yes it would. I don't think that is right to even have expedited shipping as an option at checkout for these cards because you're paying extra for nothing and it is false information. Bottom line I would recommend got print because of the quality, but I recommend ordering way in advance and don't bother paying extra for faster shipping just save yourself the worry and order in advance. read more

I having been using GOTPRINT for at least 10 years now and I have to say they have always done a great job and in very timely manner and their prices are great. I too have referred them to dozens of people and will continue to do so. Their staff has always been friendly and their customer service is very courteous and on one of my most recent assignments went out of there way to cancelled a job (due to an error on my part). I hesitate to write reviews - especially negatives ones - being a business owner myself, but I feel strongly that a company should stand by it's clients. We've been ordering from Got Print for years. We order and reorder tons of marketing materials (business cards, fliers, postcards, etc.) They migrated their system and now we can NOT review any of the old files we want to reorder to make sure the files are what we want. But we CAN reorder - sight unseen - which means they still have the files. But they refuse our all suggestions (DropBox, screen shot, PDF, etc.) to work with us to try and find a way to review them. I hope the guys who own the company listen to their customer service reps answers of "sorry, we just can't do it". If I told my customers they could only buy things they couldn't see because we migrated somehow I don't think I'd have many customers left. read more

If it were up to me and not my boss, I would pay a little extra to have our business cards printed elsewhere. The guy who previously ordered our business cards sent me the file to upload and re-order. The image had the guidelines on it so I erased the guidelines, flattened the image, and exported it as a .jpg file. So aside from the fact that the website kept freezing up when I would upload my images.... 1) I tried to upload the .jpg file, and it told me the file was incompatible and I needed to upload another. I clicked on the live chat option and got a very generic answer about how "it could be a number of things, like the file is too big or the image is not flattened." Seriously, how much are you getting paid to spew generic answers and not actually help someone? 2) I tried uploading the image with the guidelines because it seemed to like that file, except it said it was not available for instant proof and I would have to pay the extra $4. I tried the live chat again. When I told the guy that the guidelines were on the image I uploaded, he said they would not be printed on our cards and he would wave the $4 proof fee. I placed my order and soon received an email telling me that the image could not contain the guidelines. Didn't I just tell someone they were there and he said he said it would be fine? 3) I used different software to erase the lines and flatten the image and it uploaded just fine. Soon there was another email that there were still partial guidelines (where they ran into the design and I couldn't erase the rest of the line without erasing part of the design) and I had to fix it and re-upload. The live chat lady edited the design as a "one-time courtesy," sent me the new file so I could re-upload, and I was finally able to place my order. 4) My cards came!!! I didn't realize until I wrote the first appointment on the back of one that they put high gloss on the back even though I specified for them not to. The email just came from quality control telling me that the order details did not specify not to gloss the back and even says, "Perhaps you double clicked on it, and selected it and then un-selected it with the second click." I guess it could only be my fault and not an issue with their website like when it told me the .jpg was incompatible, or something that could have happened when I had to refresh the page after uploading my design. So I placed another order (after fixing a typo which was our bad), we'll see if they get it right or screw it up again. Their customer service is very courteous and is always "sorry for the inconvenience, but the entire experience has been an inconvenience to me. It goes without saying that many print shops only care about quick sales and dont take customer service into consideration. But when i was in burbank and needed some posters made i contacted Gotprint, and catherine answered the phone. She answered all my questions and was very professional and cared (or seemed to care) about my issues, either way she was outstanding. Been using GotPrint for years. Until now. I printed an order last year- it turned out amazing. I re-ordered it with the "Re-Order this Item" option in the "My Account Orders" area. It arrived printed incorrectly (from the SAME files that printed correctly previously). I was told that I was past the 7 days quality control period, so I didn't get a refund/reprint. I called it a "fluke" so I re-ordered it AGAIN. It was printed incorrectly AGAIN (from the SAME files that printed correctly previously). Now they say that the original files were not setup correctly (even though they printed correctly the FIRST time I gave them the files, and did not notify me of the "file issues" on the first re-print). After spending a day of going back & forth with their "Customer Service" department, the best they could do was issue me a partial refund coupon code. Buyer Beware - if there is ever any issue with the printed material you receive from them, GOOD FREAKING LUCK at holding them accountable. It's a "good deal" for a reason. read more

As an independent graphic designer, this vendor has been a fantastic resource for me. I have used GotPrint as a broker for the past few months, and before that I was a retail customer. I have seen some of the highest quality results from GotPrint compared to 4 over and other trade printers. I have printed catalogs, flyers, business cards, postcards, EDDM mailers, and even banners and yard signs (albeit coroplast signs had color shifting, which is to be expected from any vendor direct printing on that material). GotPrint's customer service is always courteous and well informed. I'd ask that you don't immediately jump to conclusions based on some of the negative feedback here. If I've learned anything from my experience, it is that most customers aren't submitting their files with bleed or embedded with the correct color profiles (CMYK GRAcol 2006). I am a graphic designer and previously a print production manager. I deal with file issues daily and know what to do to avoid problems in my workflow (IE: outlining fonts, flattening gradients, avoiding compression artifacting, etc.), so take my review with that in mind. Understand that if one sends improperly produced files to any printer, the graphic will likely not print out correctly. If you're looking for low cost, well produced product, your deadline isn't within 3 days, and you know how to set up files correctly, this is your printer. If that doesn't sound like you, consult a designer or a local printer to produce your product within your means. read more

Was really disappointed by them. I agree the website was real nice and prices reasonable but that is where the good times ended. They are not flexible and do not work with you after you have placed an order. Their whole system is automated and trying to make a change after an order has been placed is next to impossible. They also have a no refund policy even if they have yet to do any work on your order. I tried to cancel when I found out my order would not be done by the time needed and could not get a refund. I offered to pay more to get it done in time and they said it was not going to happen. My emails to them never received a response or acknowledgment. I'm submitting a letter I just sent to GotPrint. Please read, and BEWARE of this company. They will cause your business to lose $$!!! Dear GotPrint, I haven't been this upset or frustrated in my career EVER in my 13 years as a graphic designer!!! Let me explain what I'm dealing with with your company: On February 4th, I uploaded a door hanger job to your website. When you guys sent me the proof I found a typo and DID NOT approve it (clicked "NOT APPROVED"). You guys sent me a link to upload the revised file on February 7th. I fixed the file and re-uploaded it and approved the proof. You guys printed it and shipped it to my client. I received an email on the 16th from my client saying that you had printed the ORIGINAL, INCORRECT version of the files with the typo and he wanted them reprinted correctly. I called and ordered a reprint (Gotprint Quality Control admitted it was their error). I asked that they reprint these quickly as it wasn't my fault and my client needed them ASAP. The customer service rep assured me that they would be put on press that week (week of the 14th). My client called me today (Feb. 22nd) to see where they were. I was surprised he hadn't yet received them. I called GotPrint and the head of Quality Control, told me that they hadn't gone onto press until TODAY and it would be MAYBE another 2 days before they get shipped. Needless to say, my client is furious, and I am so upset as I pride myself on meeting deadlines. I asked for a refund and Quality Control told me he could only give me a $70 credit to a future job (this is a $400 job and $70 does not even cover the original shipping cost of the defective product!!!) I am having to eat my design fee, as well as the shipping fee to appease my client. Therefore, I'm not making ANY $$ on this project and I'm still having to PAY for the shipping & printing of a screwed up job that is NOT my fault. This is EXTREMELY upsetting to me. I've most certainly lost this client, a good client that I've had for several years, and any future jobs that I might have gotten from him, so this is costing me even MORE $$, as well as the fact that my client, a landscaper, is losing $$ to other competitor landscaping firms who already are distributing their door hangers in this area. When I talked to the head of Quality Control he was rather evasive and would not give me an answer as to when my job would be shipped or how long the shipping would take. All of your customer service reps have been unwilling to assist me and pretty much give me the runaround. I'm so incredibly upset, and I plan to post complaints wherever I can possibly post complaints as well as contact the BBB. I understand that you are an internet company with many low cost products, but you also guarantee 100% customer satisfaction. I've used your company for my printing jobs for several years now and I've always been completely happy with the result. Their turnaround time for standard business cards is 5 to 7 business days. While zooprint offers next day turnaround with much lower rates. First of all, why do I have to send a separate email to ask for an order to be blind shipped? Your competitors list that option in check out and don't charge a fee like you do. Granted, since this is NOT a fool proof service, there are those who fail to adhere to minimal requirements of the trade such as understanding formats or being adept to online ordering... which can result in problems... however, when you know how to interface with such a service, few come close to gotprint. I have and always will unless something changes praise the quality of the print for the price. No complaints on quality at all. More of a customer service/relations problem with this company. A+ on quality, however! BEFORE: Got Print is fabulous at one thing: quality of print. Their customer service TOTALLY SUCKS!!!! I am a graphic designer and have placed over 25 orders with them. However, when I pointed out a discrepancy in shipping prices on the product pricing page versus the check out cart, not only were they rude, they also weren't interested in fixing their own (problem) on their own site. Seriously, who doesn't want to fix problems on their site? GOTPRINT.COM! The first person I talked to online through the online chat, and they disconnected my chat. The second person I called on the phone. He was nice but agreed with me it was not accurate. When I stated they should change this, he said he would suggest it. Suggest it?! It's false advertising! Reading a lot of bad and sad reviews of this business. Love how their reps come on yelp and other review boards defending themselves. Before I started http://www.advancestep.org/, me and my partner would always use them. The reviews I'm reading about GotPrint states that most of you don't know what you're doing or expect low prices with Cadillac service. First know this, not all printers are the same. There's a HUGE difference between commercial and local. Places like GotPrint are set for High Volume, Low Prices and quick turnarounds. Yes, you complain about their turnaround now, but if they held the hands of all their customers and walked them through each process, the turnarounds would be much worse, or prices would be the same as Local print shops. ALWAYS USE TEMPLATES If we lived in a perfect print friendly world, all shops would use the same RIP systems, software's and machines......BUT they don't. There are thousands of companies that offer machines for these companies so no two will have the same RIP, Printer, Software, Substrate or even Ink. For this reason, their bleed requirements, color outputs and quality will be different between all of them. If they have a template, USE IT. Also read the FAQ section of any printer you go, they all differ. 10 minutes of your time that will be well spent before placing an order. GRAY AND SKIN The two hardest things to accomplish in printing is Gray colors and Skin tones. It's your responsibility to check color values, temperatures, hue and saturation on all gray and skin tones, or else expect a really screwed up print. THEY WILL NEVER HOLD YOUR HAND They won't. If you need a printer that will hold your hand and check your files then go to Vistaprint and pay five times the price. If you know what you're doing, then Gotprint is a great start; until you get your resellers permit.... Then you go trade. HOW THEY KEEP PRICES LOW Gotprint and their competition are able to keep their prices low because they automate almost everything. You're basically "Renting" their printer. People don't view files, alter them or correct them. The only time you should expect contact from them is when their machine goes down. If you can't make your own files, I highly recommend using their online design service, it will save you a huge headache in the end. CONCLUSION GotPrint is a great place to test out your "design" skills, or if you need cheap and fast prints. read more

UPDATE: See their comment below. 1) It was not a small shift. It was very noticeable and is very poor quality 2) No one EVER asked for my sales tax permit. They just said no on honoring our reseller certificate - I have emails. 3) I'll be interested to know how a UPS store got deemed as residential for pricing purposes. I guess we'll wait and see. It's only a couple of bucks, but it's about feeling totally cheated overall. You pay upfront and then take your chances, and when you need customer service for issues to actually get resolved, it seems like you have to elevate it to Yelp or some online thread to get any action. That's just not good business. We will send the items back for a refund, but I think it's a shame that the answer they gave below is basically saying, that's the best they could do. Other print houses don't have this issue. ------ ------ The first time we used them, it was great. The second time, horrible results. Customer service was the worst I've ever experienced with a print house. We used THEIR TEMPLATES, and sent them AI files. They printed our product labels skewed to the right, so they looked really really bad and weren't centered. It was for our product launch to a distributor and we had a deadline - it was a really big deal for our small company. When we contacted them, they responded with what looked like generic rebuttal quotes from the website. Finally, they said it was just a part of the printing process and not to send them stuff with frames on the edges (this wasn't a frame that got cut off - the WHOLE label was off center). They eventually offered to refund our money if we reshipped all the labels back to them. We couldn't send all the labels back because we had to use some of the crappy labels for our new product distributor to meet the deadline (which was really embarrassing to have that poor quality on the front of our product packaging). They also overcharged us on shipping, claiming our UPS store address was a residential address, and failed to honor or refund our Texas reseller certificate for sales taxes. Very disappointed with GotPrint. Even after seeing that the cards online looked okay, and was told by customer service that they looked good, they came back blurry with the incorrect email address on them. I sent in pictures, was told they looked fine, even though they were blurry and the green ink looked spotty. I was given a credit towards a new order after I was told I would get money back on my card. Then I was told to send back the cards, so I am hoping when I send the cards back I will finally see this credit. Every time I call I am told to email, when I email I am told to call and no one is talking to each other in any of the departments. I also ordered them with 3 day shipping, did not receive 3 day shipping and have been waiting a month to get at least that back. *Update-I was contacted from someone at Gotprint who helped me and my boss immediately. AMENDMENT: I've changed my rating from 2 stars to 3 after being contacted by "N.S.", a GotPrint representative. She was very nice and took the time to research my specific issues. And although she was unable to resolve these issues, she made me think twice (maybe a third time) about my experience: Product Quality: Add a star. Turnaround time: Add a star. Punctuality of bulk mailing service: Add a star. Customer Service: no star. Policies catering to specific needs: no star. The good: GotPrint's print quality is excellent, the colors are perfectly vibrant, and their variety of paper stock and finishes is immense. Their job turnaround time is nice, their online job builder is excellent, and their mailing service is punctual Not so good: GotPrint's customer service is where it all falls apart. Calling and asking simple questions is a hassle. Each lower level representative we talked with was unwilling to take the time to explain basic concerns about our print job. We ordered a bulk of postcards promoting an event and went with GotPrint's mailing service to shoot the card out to our mailing list. Other printers always send any extra cards back to us promptly so we can promote face-to-face. GotPrint could not send the 400+ extra cards to us because they print their mailing permit code on each and every card, whether it's being addressed or not. They claim to be "Promotional Experts," yet can't comprehend why anyone would order extra promotional materials? When we finally discussed this issue with a manager, he agreed to send 100 postcards with the postage code crossed out... we received them today, two weeks after they were sent to our mailing list (and after our event was under way)... there were only 5 postcards. If you have simple needs, handle your own mailings, and don't need to contact them, GotPrint is great. The old maxim applies:"You get what you pay for." And GotPrint apparently doesn't charge for customer service... so you don't get any. read more

I am fighting for a refund without returning the product since i dont wanna spend another penny because of this companies horrible job. They advertise 100% satisfaction = NOT TRUE. I had a simple order of business cards. I approved a proof that was perfect. The first print was missing the information on the back. The second print that GotPrint did to correct the issues, the file on the front was slightly enlarged and off centered. Customer service stated that it was my file and they cannot guarantee that the die-cutting to be 100% accurate. They want me to place my order again and they would give me a "discount code". Um how about giving me my money back. read more

Their prices are great. Their customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. You will have to jump through numerous hoops as a first time client to get things done right, and they definitely don't volunteer anything if there's any problem. ALWAYS ask, "do you now have everything you need to get this order processed and sent out the door?" Even then I don't know that you'll get a correct and thorough answer. I was recommended to GotPrint through a business associate, and am so pleased that I used them. They specified the turnaround times and so I knew that I needed to put in a rush order & next day delivery. Once placing my order I received an e-mail asking to re-submit it to allow for "bleed", which I did. I was then concerned that there was enough time to receive my postcards by Friday. I linked up on their web site with live chat, and made my concerns, but lost internet connection (my end, sometimes happens..) I then received an e-mail 2 hours later confirming my order had gone to print. I was SO happy! I ended up receiving my order on Wednesday, 2 days before my absolute deadline, which made both my customer & I extremely satisfied. The quality of the card & print are both excellent. I could not ask for anything more from a print company and will definately use them again. read more

We have been using Got Print alot over the past several years, and I guess if things are going well their customer service is great. But, if anything goes wrong, you truly see how poor their customer service is. I ordered 5,000 postcards and the quality was terrible and unreadable. I see others on Yelp have had the same issue. I am convinced they have a batch of generic responses, and they pick and choose which one to send as a reply. I even sent them a final goodbye email today , hoping to get someone in management, and they replied with a generic reply asking me to email the same email address if I had a question about my order. All I wanted was an explanation why the cards didn't turn out correctly. For some reason nobody was willing to even look at the order and figure out the mistake they made. They just copied and pasted a reply. Sometimes the replies didn't even make sense. I would have accepted a new order, and waited for them. But that wasn't even offered. They initially assumed my file was bad, but it wasn't. After that, I guess they could not imagine they made a mistake, so they decided to reply to all my complaints with generic emails. The offered a discount on a future order, assuming I would just forget about the 5,000 cards, and move on. Then they offered a refund, but I need to pay UPS $70+ to return the cards. I get to pay $70 for their mistake, and I still have no cards. Awesome. Granted we only spend several thousand with them per year, not hundreds of thousands, but customer service should be the same for all. GotPrint lost our business today, and that doesn't seem to phase them, so be warned the same may happen to you. GotPrint, please turn off your automatic generic email machine. I recently went down the street to a local printer only to find they were out of business. As I stood there completely baffled a gentleman that was taking over the new space came up and asked what I was looking for. After some conversation about the missing printing company he recommended GotPrint. He said they were great and even though they were in LA (I'm in SD) he said they were super fast as well. After spending some serious amount of time trying to figure out how to use Illustrator (no, I am not a graphic artist) I got my proof just right. Today I received my cards and they are exactly the way I wanted them to look. The colors are dead on as is everything else. So, my advice is this...take the time to READ THE DIRECTIONS they provide on the Web site...all of them. I don't believe they could make it any clearer regarding colors, bleeds, etc. This was my first time with GotPrint and they got it right!! Very stoked. read more

I have been using got print and received good qua Ity in the past. My last order I ordered postcards both sides glossy And received one side glossy . Business cards one side should have Been colored I received both sides black and white. I asked both of My business cards to be Matt . I did not get matt. Bad printing. Bad custumer service. I do not recommend them a year ago I would have. Now it's time to look for a new printer. read more

I received my flyers order from GotPrint.com recently. I am very pleased with the quality. I got postcards/flyers printed on the 16pt Dull Cover, which has a smooth matte surface. I am not a fan of glossy flyers, they look cheesy. I paid around $60 for 1000 4x6" flyers double sided full color. I was previously using OvernightPrints.com and their quality was pretty good but the price was about twice as expensive and the service was SOOOOOO SLOW. It could take up to a month to get my order unless I paid extra to have express service. With GotPrint, I paid half the price and got it in around 7 days. i am not a paid or affiliated with GotPrint in any way. Just a satisfied customer. Comparing this place to VistaPrint is foolish. VistaPrint is like a printing press for dummies. I would never use VistaPrint because it's so geared towards simpletons that it is essentially the GoDaddy of printing. Also, if you're going to be dealing with printing presses and ordering thousands of flyers or business cards, you should know some basic color management, have a calibrated monitor and understand what CMYK is. If you are making a flyer in Microsoft Publisher with some POS monitor, of course you're going to get terrible results. If you don't have the time to learn basic color management workflow then it's best to hire a local graphic designer... oh, that's right, you're a cheapskate who blames the printing press when their file isn't set up properly. read more
