After dealing with a local printing outfit connected with FedEx I was skeptical since they sold me the same business card in black and white, similar low cost but messed it up completely - couldn't believe they would enlarge the image and not center it as in the final proof. I am BEYOND frustrated with got print. Usually I accept the terrible customer service because the print quality and price are there... but lately (my last three projects) have arrived with issues (the cropping was crooked, the color registry was off, etc). I am a long time customer and they made me ship samples back to them instead of trusting me and giving me a reprint. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I then shipped the order via priority mail so I could track it... it arrived Monday and they are still messaging me back and forth (two days later) asking me for the tracking, etc. I was already insulted that I had to ship samples back to them (the photos that they normally ask for proof weren't enough). I ordered 2000 business cards that I have had previously printed through other companies. The print quality of Got Print is absolutely terrible!!!! I could not even see the image it was all blurry. They claim 85% of the original image, it was less than half. When I complained they merely apologized and stated I had to return the cards AT MY COST. So I basically lost $12 just to do business with Got Print. I have used GotPrint for the better part of two years not for primarily business cards and to-date have never been disappointed in their quality, turn around time, or pricing. Recently, I ordered more materials from them for an upcoming marketing event. The dates I had in my calendar were one week off and before I knew it, the event was two days away and I had no material. (I fully accept the blame for the crunch time deadline). I called GotPrint and they were able to get me the order the next morning **note, one day prior to the event** so that I had it in time. I am a freelance designer and use a lot of printers, online and local. I have a broker account here, which basically means I get a price break and don't get charged sales tax, since I resell the products. While I understand that a company this size, that does this volume, can have some unhappy people every once and a while, I have been VERY happy with the dozens of products I've ordered in the last 4 years of working with Gotprint! Online printers are kinda like airlines...you are advised to check a few for the best price etc, for your particular job or timeframe. That being said, I usually check PSPrint, Printplace, Overnight Prints and Vistaprint for the average brochure or postcard. Google the printjob you want and you'll see many online printer to choose from. 95% of the time, I end up at trusty Gotprint for several reasons: 1. I am in northern California so even their ground shipping is usually at my door within 48 hours of shipping since they are on the grounds of Burbank airport. 2. Their prices are hard to beat, even without the broker deal. They do this by ganging your job with many others. Their print costs are similar to the cost you'd get if you asked for a physical proof with many other printers. So even if you had to reorder its still cheaper often. 3. They have more options than most places. For example folds, page sizes and paper stocks. To get a close price elsewhere you are stuck with standard gloss or 2-3 paper sizes. Compare their 10 different brochure folds to most others! 4. Customer service. When I call I get a live person in the United States that knows printing, and does not try to upsell etc. The one caveat is that you need to send them good stuff and if you don't they don't magically make it better. I send them clean files, but even then I will send something that is offset slightly or has text in the unsafe zone etc. They will email me to alert me and have me upload. They do not hold your hand and give you coffee and tours of the pressroom, but you are paying for brochures, not a best friend. While they have certain things they do really well, you cannot get many custom things, but then again they have more standard options than most, so you don't have to pay more for custom jobs. If you have clean files and are not so anal that you have to match every single tone to a pantone book, these guys are a great option for online printing. I usually tell clients that it is one week from upload to doorstep. They do rush, but for this price I'd get your stuff together in that timeframe and be very satisfied. I've only had one job that was not satisfactory to a client since they ordered letterhead, notecards and business cards and the orange color did not match from one paper stock to the other due to ink soaking into letterhead. So we adjusted the color and they reprinted for free. If you need hand holding, multiple proofs, press checks, special binding, etc etc, I'd advise paying more for a shop you can walk into and look the pressman in the eye. For what it's worth I have only ordered once from Gotprint, but I would order from them again. I needed postcards printed for my senior BFA show and after doing some research (requesting packets from 5 different printing companies and looking at their samples), I found that not only did Gotprint have some of the best looking printed samples, but they were also the least expensive. They offered 16 point postcard thickness while other companies only offered 14 which seemed flimsy and cheap. They also offered rounded corners- something that the other companies either didn't have or charged a lot for. My show was opening on October 28th and I ordered with the intention of getting the postcards at least 2 weeks ahead of time so that I could pass them out. I created my text-heavy postcard images with illustrator and then uploaded them as high quality tifs. I placed my order the evening of Monday, October 7th for 250 4x6 dull cover with matte finish postcards with rounded corners. Color on one side, black and white on the other. Trying to keep my costs low, I opted for the Instant online proof and standard shipping and found a code online that got me a small discount. The next day (the 8th), I received an email with the notice that my postcards had been approved to be printed and all was well. After I read the email I got a little curious and started looking up reviews about Gotprint to see what people were saying. I guess I should have done this beforehand, but I had been very busy. I was shocked when I came on here and saw all the horrible reviews and I began to panic because I was afraid that they would look crappy and I wouldn't even get them on time. I had never looked at the turnaround time for the postcards when I ordered (only the shipping) and if you add up the estimated time for how long they should take to print it would be 3-5 days base, plus 3 days for dull cover, plus 3 days for rounded corners....soooo 9-11 days just to print my cards!?!? I freaked out and started to look for local companies that I could place an order with with the expectation that I may not get them in time to hand out to people. I was feeling really bummed about it and anxious that I had wasted my money when on Thursday October 10th, I got an email saying that they had been shipped! I anxiously tracked the package and crossed my fingers that they wouldn't look crappy or off-center. My package was delivered on Monday, October 14th to my home in AZ and I almost had a heart attack in anticipation of opening it. Well lo and behold, the cards were incredible. The printing was crisp and sharp, perfectly on center and proper colors. The backside contains tiny text that was also crisp and clean. The edges were soft and smooth, rounded corners were perfect and the thickness is to die for. Honestly, 250 wasn't enough. I wish I had ordered more! I treated the postcards like gold and only gave them out to those truly deserving (haha!). Everytime I gave one to my professors they would remark at what a nice postcard it was. I recently used gotprint.com to make my Save the Date postcards for my upcoming wedding. I didn't have any special image editing software, so I used gotprint.com's advanced designer tool online. I had an image on the front with some writing, and the back was fairly plain - just black and white with some text on the left side, some address lines on the right side, and one dividing line in the middle. Now I would assume that when I use the website's own design tools that the printed product would match, right? Wrong! I received the postcards in the mail only to find that the lines on the back of the card were about 5x thicker than the image I had created online. In fact, the line I had created in the middle of the card was so thick that it cut off some of the writing on the left side of the card! To boot, the first 10 or so cads that I pulled out of the box had damaged corners. I called gotprint.com's customer service center where I was simply directed to an online complaint form. I explained the issues and requested that I receive a credit to my account to reorder the cards with some adjustments now that I knew that my designed image was not necessarily what I would actually be receiving. It took several days, but I finally received an e-mail stating that the quality control department deemed the printed postcards acceptable, and that I got what I ordered. Really? I know what I ordered, I can see it online! THE PRINT DOES NOT MATCH THE DESIGN! I don't know what happened to customer service, but this company is terrible! Buyer beware. I filed a dispute on my credit card charge for these postcards yesterday and proceeded to use another website to re-design and print my Save the Date cards. I used overnightprints.com and they were fantastic! They had great prices, and their online designer tools were much better than gotprint.com's tools. These guys are fantastic, everything that I needed help with I got help with. I had a problem after the order was put into the system and I was guided through the entire process of changes with ease. It does take about two weeks for your order to get to you (if you need it faster make sure to call in and try to rush it before approval process) so make sure to leave some time for your items to get to you. I ordered 250 business cards for a low price. Simple black text on a white business card. The cards are awful. The white is not very bright and the black is not very dark at all. Worst of all, the text is slightly blurry. The text is not sharp. I can't use these cards and they look like they were printed from a home printer. In fact, the business cards I printed out at home are superior to these. I cannot use these business cards. Good price, though. read more

I used Gotprint in 2012 for some campaign mailers and in just a couple of short years I forgot how horribly slow the process is. I ran out of business cards and was recently booked for an event on 12/10. I ordered 500 cards on 12/3 thinking that would be plenty of time to turn around such an order. After 5 days of checking my mailbox I decided to go back to the website to check on the progress and apparently the order took 5 days to be processed and another day to ship. That places shipment to me on the date of my event, hence leaving me cardless. It wasn't until I went to the site that I remembered that a similar situation happened back in 2012 when one of my staffers ordered the mailers. I suppose this could be my fault. I suppose I could have provided more lead time. I suppose I could have used another, more expensive service (which I will in the future). I suppose I'm being unreasonable to think that a company who prints business cards for a living could process an order of 500 cards in less than 5 days in 2014. read more

Great experience with GotPrint. I've used Vistaprint in the past, but they charge quite a bit for double-sided business cards (it's fine if you just do single-sided). GotPrint was about half the price and the cards turned out great. I designed the cards myself using Inkscape and uploaded the images without issue. The cards are high-res, easy to read, and the cardstock weight makes them feel professional. They took over a week to get here (which is long by today's standards), but I was in no hurry. They printed a brochure which was totally different colors than the proof they sent then refused to stand behind it. They kept blaming it on us when they sent the proof that we approved. Customer service kept sending me to "Quality Control" and finally I spoke with the Manager! The first question he asked was, "How did you get me?" Evidently, he doesn't normally talk with people. After we spoke, he was rude and said they only re-print when it is there fault - totally denied blame blaming it on our file! I had others look at this and they said it was definitely a printing issue. We are a graphic's company so the artwork was fine, had it printed somewhere else and it looked great. My last order never came in, and after contacting GotPrint, I was told I needed to sign an authorization form. This is not a form I've had to sign in the past, and we use Gotprint 10+ times a year. They never sent me an email regarding my delayed status, and the last email I received stated that it was approved for print. Without concern, I asked they fix this by applying next day shipping and they charged me for it. They've misprinted items in the past and never once apologized or made it right by offering a discount on my next purchase or by offering next day shipping considering the items I ordered were time sensitive. If you want a job done for cheap, use GotPrint, if you want a job done right and have time constraints (like most of us) and expect professional service, use someone else. read more

We needed some new business cards and wanted to try the GotPrint service to compare with VistaPrint. Big mistake... First, the Adwords code that was advertised for free shipping didn't work. We found out at checkout. By that time, we already designed a card (bait and switch); so we decided to go with the order anyways, thinking the company would reimburse the shipping (that didn't happen). Last, the print quality was terrible with the fonts being barely legible. The preview feature is horrible (unlike VistaPrint's preview feature). We tried to get a reimbursement and submitted an order problem; however, we got a generic email response saying we used images at 72dpi (they probably didn't even read our email since we complained about the fonts not the graphics). Clearly this company is not very competent, and uses sub-par technology for design previews compared to VistaPrint. Think twice before ordering business cards from GotPrint. read more

This company is consistently declining in quality and customer service. While they do offer great prices and have a wide selection of sizes available, their site is confusing and cumbersome to use unless you have extensive experience with sites like theirs. Their turnaround time has increased and I've received multiple orders later than what I paid for. Whenever I speak to customer service, they tell me it's my fault and that I misread the date range - after having this happen multiple times, I think I know how to read a date range... This last time I was having issues with the bleed area because the template download they provided did not match the proof download area. When I called customer service to see what I was missing, I was spoken to as if I were an idiot. I guess you get what you pay for with GotPrint - they're ok if your items aren't on a deadline and you don't care how centered your images are on the paper. I put in my first time order of biz cards. color. They are better than VistaPrints. So it took a week. I didnt mind the wait. They are worth the wait. Very good quality, bright colors. and I put it all together myself. I followed their instructions and I received better than expected cards. It seems that all the negative reviews were mostly the fault of the customer. Most times what you order exactly is what you get. Be careful and do your own research on pervious orders. Awful and rude customer service. I kept asking about pricing for additional business cards for additional employees and they were not clear in responding. i.e. They'd send confirmation emails with cryptic IT ticket / work order numbers but not answer the question. When I asked them the third time, they responded "We've told you twice. Please read!" It turns out you can't order the additional cards until the first design is shipped at which time you can go in and "re-order" for $15. Once my order was completed, I sent a follow up email 2 days later to see when I would be able to place the "re-order." They said it wouldn't ship for another 7 business days. I canceled the order as I needed them sooner than that and they wouldn't refund the design or the cards (which hadn't yet been printed). Would not recommend. Rude and poor service. read more

Hello Consumers, For the money, GotPrint is hands-down the best value for money. Business cards are a little tricky as you must be careful when chosing a font size. What looks proportionate on the computer screen using their online software could actually result in a very tiny font. I've had to reorder twice because all the text was too small to read. However they did refund my order to make it right. Use the recommended font size and nothing smaller. A recommendation for them would be to include an "actual size" image before you submit the order. Brochures: I've ordered thousands and their system is fairly fail proof using the manual 24 hour proof. They email you a final proof and if it isn't right they will email you why. The only complaint I had is the learning curve following their required formats and templates. The customer service was helpful, but you felt like you were bothering them with your questions. You can tell they didn't want to interact directly with the customer. Overall I'm happy and will continue to use them. GotPrint has issues with their website interface. Employees are not notified when the customer updates information under "my account". This lead to them shipping my order to the wrong address and wasting precious time and $19.22 in postage (and me having to overnight 7 lbs of printed materials to the correct address.) Not only that they're customer service managers are POWERLESS to MAKE CUSTOMERS HAPPY. They lead me through a convoluted process that involved several phone conversations and e-mails with Quality Control in order to request a simple discount of my next order to make up for the $$$$ LOST. IF YOUR THINKING THIS IS A FIVE STAR REVIEW. Well it sure is. This award goes to GOT PRINT for the worst print job and customer service i have ever experienced! Even more worst than the driver's license office!! I spoke with one of there representatives and they informed me that i would have a white border around the back side of my cards. I said o.k cool that's fine. in fact i thought that would actually add to my design. lol When i received my cards in the mail they were all printed at an angle. Woah wtf!! my cards are tilted. I cant pass these out. That explains the worst print job. Now for the customer service. I received the first package of cards. lol notice i said first. My girlfriend received the next package of cards. wtf!! I only placed one order. now for an explanation . I called got print in response to an email they sent me saying that my cards may be cut off at the edges and that i need to re upload another file to there template. I spoke with a representative as i was uploading the new file to insure they were done correctly. which i followed through the link that was connected to my original order. Me just wanting to be safe, while i was on the phone with Got Print, i checked my order and i noticed a couple of orders were made. I stated to the representative, "hey can you go ahead and erase the other orders since I'm giving you the o.k on this order to print, because i don't want you guys to charge me for any other orders just this one. ( at this time no charges had been made to my girlfriends card at all for any orders). The Got print Representative insured me that would never happen. LOL WTF it sure did happen. i placed this order on Jan. 20th it went through on the 23rd and then on the 25th five whole days later, sure enough they charged me again. This over drafted my girlfriends account. I called got print to inform them of what happened, I explained to them how i ask there associate to cancel any and all orders besides the one I'm giving them the o.k on. the craziest part is i only uploaded the exact same design. It's clear that i only wanted to place one order for this particular design. Who wants to pay 2 different shipping and handling fees, and two different rush order fees for the same cards. Common Sense would tell you to place one order. The people at Got Print basically told me to kiss there ass they are not refunding me anything. And then hung up the phone on me. Even though this was completely there fault. I referred 8 of my friends to these people already. LOL. Never in my life again. If were you i would stay completely away from such people. So, it's obvious...anyone writing a negative review about GotPrint has actually dealt with the company. Any of the positive reviews are surely coming from employees of GotPrint. My problem is no different than anyone else's. I needed a 6x9 postcard printed with color on both sides. The first job came back with the image for side B turned 90 degrees. When I asked for a reprint, the second job came back with the postcards on a larger sheet containing the business cards for an auto-detailing company. Had ANYONE at gotprint inspected the print job before it was shipped to me, they would have surely seen the printing mistakes. I paid extra for shipping on the original order. Now I'm supposed to take pictures of the misprints and send the images back to someone at the company. If I take the time to do that, I will surely be met with the same runaround I've been receiving for the last 3 weeks. Do NOT use Gotprint.com! This company will run you around when they make a mistake... and, in the end, use your time, money, and efforts. Do yourself a favor: go somewhere else! I received some tent business cards which show ripping in the paper after they are folded. After having pointed out their mistake, and accommodating their million requests, they then give me the standard "well send them back in for a refund." Well, what about the previous ten steps you had me do? Couldn't we have cut all that out? After I provided proof of your mistake, couldn't you just have said "send them back to us" and I would have said "okay." But no... instead, they waste my time, have me traveling around Peru while I was there trying to send them the info they request, just to give me some "well, send them back if you want anything from our mistake." GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! ---------- UPDATE: Thanks to GotPrint for the reply. While I understand the desire to improve business processes, the entire process can be handled with a more customer-centric focus. Requiring a seven step process to fix a mistake caused by an individual at your company is not customer-centric and then, at the end of all this picture taking and emailing back and forth, requiring us to travel to the post office to return the product is too much. While it may be "within your terms of service" to return the product, at the end of this long and drawn out process I have put in way too much time into this bad order and refuse to use any more of my time to do so. If I were to accept, it could be viewed as though I wanted something for nothing. I ordered with GotPrint last year and thought it would be ok to give them repeat business. I have never been more wrong. I ordered business cards a week ago and they have not even started on them. I just got off the phone with customer service and the guy told me the earliest they will be done is Wednesday. 100 business cards requires close to two week to print? I don't think so!! Well, I haven't even gotten my order placed and I'm already done with this company. Back in January I submitted an order and after a few weeks of no word I emailed the company and included all the info I could think to include. I was told there was never any order placed. I could've sworn I had placed one, but whatever. So several months later I tried to place the order again after some design changes. Again, I get no word from the company, so I email them. with my username and ask them to please check. Apparently a 4 sentence email was just too taxing to read all the way and I got a coarse email back asking for my username. (By 'coarse' I don't mean vulgar, just unpolished and unprofessional. All their email communication has been like this. It hardly inspires confidence!) I gave it to them AGAIN and they then told me that there were issues with the files because I hadn't used their templates. Well, I had most certainly used their templates, the stupid things were hidden layers in the files I sent them! I log into my account, see that I HAD submitted an order in Jaunary, they just didn't check well enough. The January order had been canceled due to non response. The email address they were sending emails to were going unanswered because somehow (I suspect Chrome's autofill) my spam email address was put in the account instead of my business address. It seems this company has no interest in my business since they can't be bothered to pick up a phone and call me when they get no response to an email. Cheap business cards from a company that wont steal your credit card (like another one that is based in Jamica will do). The cards are profesional and not flimsy. There's no way to build a relationship with them and get a loyalty discount, which is annoying for us since we order new cards a few times a year. read more
