I've been dealing with these guys for a long time. Ever since they were a small company. It's really unfortunate that they lost their customer service and it has been on the down hill. They totally dropped the ball on me this time and i'm very disappointed. I can't even get my business related materials on time and I placed my order a week in advance. It's really sad how they forget the small businesses that gave them the consistent business. I'm a graphic designer and used GotPrint in 2011 for a client who needed post cards for advertising. When I received the order there were black marks/smudges on the cards. Originally I had used the clients cc for the order, but I did not want to stress the client and tell them them that GotPrint had messed up, so I quickly re-ordered the materials again, "online" late at night, using my cc because the order was urgently needed and I wanted to have the order in GotPrints system, to hit first thing in the morning, ASAP. After I placed the order "for the second time" and rest assurred received it in perfect condition and the client was happy, I then called GotPrint and explained the situation. I asked them if I could send back the box of damaged product and asked for a refund but instead of giving me a REAL credit to either the clients credit card or to my credit card, they gave me a coupon code for $143.09. I accepted this coupon code because I was told it would not expire. Life happened, I had surgery and did not work for sometime but on May 4, 2015 I sent GotPrint a copy of the ORIGINAL email and asked if I could use the coupon code, that is if it was in their system. I then got an email saying that my request is being taken into consideration and there will be another reply, but I never saw a reply following that. Come to today, July 14, 2015, I decide to call them to again inquire if they have the coupon code in their system and they tell me it expired May 30, 2015. After endlessly explaining that the original email sent to me with the coupon code has no expiry DATE and that I was verbally INFORMED their was no expiry DATE for it when I accepted it, I was today told it did have an expiry date. Again, I asked how I could possibly know that, when the ORIGINAL email coupon code receipt had no expiry date on it? Feeling completely baffled, I then asked how it is that the coupon code was good all this time, for over 4 years, until just when I ask to use it? Got Print then claimed they responded by email on May 6, 2015 telling me I had until May 30, 2015 to use it, but I never saw that email or obvisoulsy I would have used the credit. In any case, the summary of it is, that the coupon code had no expiry date but when I asked to use it an expiry date was issued. I spoke with manager George in customer service and he literally mocked me for not using the coupon code, and kept asking me why I didn't reorder the product that was damaged and I told him I had, but he was so determined to teach me a lesson he seemingly failed to understand that I paid twice for the same product. In the end he refused to reopen the coupon code saying it was locked and that everything expires. Yes, I know some people would say I had plenty of time to use the credit but that is not the point, the point is that no where in the receipt of the "coupon code" did it give an expiry date. In all honesty, I was in good faith planning to use this coupon code but was told it had to be for an order over and above the amount, thus the coupon code was not accessible for small orders and had to be used all at once giving me further constraints. In the end it was very manipulative and unethical to suddenly put an expiry date on a credit (coupon code) just after I inquire about it. I will now be using another printing company for my clients. These people are the worst. Insulting and offensive customer service people. Their turnaround times are at least 5 business days later than advertised and we had to redo 3 of 5 order because the color was so far off the profile. Not worth it. Beware GotPrint AND their rebranded Printograph (which is still GotPrint). The thing is that the most recent order issue isn't the real problem; it's the ongoing attitude that always makes their customers seem to be the ones at fault instead of the company apologizing and working to improve their support system. Further, it seems like it would be better (and more honest) to show a slightly longer estimated turn around time and be pleasantly surprised when it's "early" vs never being on time. As a longtime customer of theirs, this is the pattern. If there's a problem, don't own up to it and tell the customer that it's the customers' fault for not paying attention. Yes, they're cheap. BEWARE Yelpers! I have never been more frustrated with a business in my entire life, as I am with GotPrint today. As a marketing professional and graphic designer, I have used GotPrint for practically ever. They are cheap and when working at companies with a low budget, you can usually get further with limited funds. I have a ton of experience setting up files to their specifications, so it's never a problem for me. I have only had a problem once before when I set up the file incorrectly (which I take full responsibility for). Recently, I wanted to print my Save the Dates for my wedding through GotPrint to save some money. It not only took me 3 weeks (the maximum amount of turnaround time) to receive them, but when I finally got them, one side was upside down. I thought that maybe it was my own fault, so I went home and checked on the files that I sent to make sure they were sent over in the correct orientation. They were. I even went a step further to confirm with one of their representatives that the steps I followed to set up the file were correct. I had definitely sent the file in the correct orientation. Since I knew they must have made a mistake on their part, I sent a message over to quality control and in the meantime, reordered the cards so that I didn't have to wait any longer to get the correct ones. I used the same orientation for the second order. They asked me (12 hours later) to send them a picture of 5 samples of the product I received that was upside down, so I did. By that time, the proof for my second order had come in, so I checked on it and confirmed it was set up correctly. On the proof it said "this portion" will back up to "this portion", so I knew I had set it up correctly (the same way as the first order) and I approved it. Four hours later, I get a reply from quality control stating that there was nothing wrong with the first order and that they printed them the way that I sent the files.... OKAY, well if that's correct, why don't the cards I received match up with the proof that I just approved today, when they are the same files?? It makes no sense. To top it off, I called their customer service line and the girl I talked to wouldn't put me through to anyone in quality control and basically repeated the same thing to me over and over again like I was a moron. "Ma'am I'm sorry, there's no one else you can talk to." SERIOUSLY?! I got mad and told her I was going to take the rest of my business elsewhere and she said, "Okay, ma'am. That's fine." Really? RUDE. Called again about 30 minutes later to try to get someone else on the phone and was able to get through to someone in quality control who was very nice and told me that there isn't a way to rush the second order since they only run that paper type in small batches, but that he would put a note to have it moved up in the queue for the next run on that paper type. Finally, someone helpful. I didn't want to push the issue any further because I need those cards ASAP so I left it at that. I don't know what else to do about it, since they are so adamant that I sent the files over wrong. I even sent them pictures of the files I set up and they still will not accept responsibility. I'm so unbelievably frustrated and tired of being called a liar. I am not giving up just yet, but I wanted to post this as warning for others not to get in the same situation as me. Regardless of their replies to everyone's comments on here, I can promise you that this company does not care about keeping their customers at all. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO GOTPRINT'S REPLY: I have been ordering from you for a long time, I am not confused. I have had several colleagues (who also order from you) check my artwork as well and agree with me. From reading other reviews here, I am definitely not the only one who has had problems. I have checked every file on my computer and they are set up properly according to the instructions on your website and the instructions your rep gave me. I did not send over vertical files for the first order specifically because the instructions of your website and template request that we rotate them to landscape, which I did according to your instructions. So if that is the proof I approved, someone at your company edited the artwork before sending me that proof and I was in too big a hurry to fully check it over. Lesson learned. If I could write a worse review than one star, I would. As a long time customer of over 8 years, I ordered a product that was a must have with ample time for production and delivery. They ignored my ftp file upload for over a week at which point I called to see what was going on. Promise upon promise that my order will get done on time and in my hands by the day I needed them. Each day I called to get the status update for a week straight to make sure my order was going to be to me on time. And....the order will show up a full week after I needed them for a trade show, forcing me to quickly go a sub par printed route out of desparation and costing me hundreds of dollars for their mistake. Stay away. I paid a very capable designer with a great reputation to create a business card for my company. It is a simple design. I saw dozens of online proofs, as well as digital hard copies. I ordered online from Gotprint, and received cards that looked like they were printed on a copy machine. Completely unacceptable. As with every other person giving them a negative review there customer service is bad, I mean the worst. We had a customer that needed a brochure. We put a rush on the order they emailed us approval and stated that it would be shipped on a Friday for our customer getting it on a Tuesday. Come to see they hadn't even printed it on the ship date. They would not make it right we had to pay out of our pocket to a local company to get a fraction of the order done. They said they would not make it right since they didn't charge our card. (Note they will not charge your card until they have finished and shipped the item so they can get away with this type of behavior) Note legally they were liable for this as they approved the order and stated that it was going to print. We never got any updates until Friday when we had to call them and to find out that they hadn't even shipped it. We are currently looking for a new printer. And have to sue got print. Really bad customer service, the reps don't listen at all. You'll begin a conversation "I am having trouble placing an order..." Their answer? "Sure ma'am, and whats the order number?" "Well, I can't place the order so there is no order number." "Without the number ma'am I cannot check on the status of the order." "Isn't this customer service? I need help *placing* the order. I said that at the beginning." "ok ma'am and what is difficult for you?" (In other words their employees are so terrible its a journey to even get them to understand the concept of things like the various stages of placing an order. Are they unaware, occasionally an order is nearly done in the advanced designer, while not placed yet?) Second, this system of the temporary image folder is completely lost on employees. It took three phone calls for someone to realize the problem was the images only remain uploaded for 72 hours. MAAAAAAAYBE the error we get SHOULDN'T be "there was an error contacting the server" it should be "images only last 72 hours". So we, as customers, don't have to waste our time, tracking down a non existent "server error." Having it written at the top of the temporary image folder page is not enough!! The error message should identify the problem. Also, your employees are so ill informed about this concept the first two phone calls were spent endlessly double checking I had "deleted" all cookies. Neither rep even MENTIONED the "temporary image folder". It took 3 phone calls!! Then on the third phone call the "temporary image folder" issue was IMMEDIATELY suggested. Where were your other employees on that one???? Customer service is terrible and a waste of time, they must pay their employees very low wages. For some reason, my order was placed on hold without them notifying me. I called a week after I placed the order (thought I would have received the flyers by now) and was told my order was put on hold. I was never notified that my order was on hold and my flyers are time sensitive so I asked to be upgraded to overnight shipping. They agreed but told me it would take 5-9 additional business days for them to print. I have already been waiting 6 business days! I finally spoke to a manager who expedited my order but it still took twice as long as it should have. Needless to say, I will NOT be giving them any more business! read more

I needed some brochures and flyers printed up and thought i would give GotPrint another try, but really frustrated with their ordering process. Long story short, they might be fine to order from if you have lots of extra time to spare, but if you have a mission critical event or tradeshow that you need something by, don't count on them having them ready in time. read more

Customer service is bad. Print quality is just barely OK. They used to be decent years ago but they either don't care anymore or have gotten too busy and can't maintain standards. They are lacking in every department as far as I'm concerned. My recommendation is to look elsewhere because after my 6 or 7 orders in the past 8-9 years I am myself looking for a better company. DO NOT USE THEM. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! They screwed up on 5000 business cards I ordered. I sent two emails in response to QC's offer for a re-order code. I had asked for GotPrint to provide the re-order code. They then replied that I declined the offer and they are recalling it. The person I spoke to who claims to be the QC Manager, George, is very unprofessional. If he is the only person I am able to talk to and if he is the one to 'resolve' customer complaints, then I it is unfortunate that they will lose a lot of business. Such unprofessionalism. A full refund is now supposed to be issued 2-5 days after the re-order code was recalled, but they need to look it over? George had advised me to never order from GotPrint again if I am unhappy, and that I will definitely have no problem with. read more

If you want low cost printing, this is a terrific place. I ordered postcards for my company and we got some flack from customer service for using a black border. They said the border would be uneven when the machines cut it, but we've gotten this done before so it's not impossible. They were irritable on the phone but finally agreed to provide us our original request. If they can have better customer service, they would probably fare better in their reviews. If you know what you're doing and don't need a lot of extra attention, the company's prices are unbeatable; however, they can make you suffer for the exchange. Choose wisely and make sure you give yourself a lot of lead time and arm yourself with a xanax before you get on that phone. I should add that the cards turned out great. read more

I give these guys a lot of business, but I was very disappointed this time around. Sent these guys a flyer to be printed. Everything showed up on the proof they sent me for approval. When I picked up my final product it was missing information on the flyer. Gotprint didn't agree that it was their error and were not wiling to reprint at no cost. The QC manager was blaming me for the information that was missing. Why did everything show up on the proof and not on the printed material? I ordered 2500 business cards and 2500 flyers from here for my business. The flyers came out fine, a bit thinner than I expected, but they were right, none the less. The business cards though.... were 1/8" off center. As a graphic designer, this is COMPLETELY unacceptable. Double checking the proof that I was sent, it was correct so the printing error was on their end. I contacted them about replacing the cards, I also sent them plenty of photos of how messed up my business cards actually were, and they told me that since the text and background are within 1/16", they will not reprint my cards. Uh, last time I checked, 1/8" is double 1/16" so I'm not exactly sure where their reasoning came from... Now, they are telling me that I can ship the cards back and they will refund me the amount (minus shipping), however, I have to pay to ship back to them. Why in the world would I pay another $15 on top of the already $30 I have dished out in shipping costs to get nothing in return? As a paying customer, this is TOTALLY unacceptable. I paid full price for 2500 cards that I cannot hand out. If the error was mine, I can totally understand, but it wasn't. It was a printing and trimming error on your part! Used them for years on at least a dozen jobs. Last time out, 1/2 of the items were unusable - like so many here, halfway down the box I found the mess (discoloration so bad the type was illegible.) Thought it was a fluke - this time out, however, they're taking so long to complete my order that I won't be able to use the product once I get it, whatever it ends up looking like - and they take your money up front, so I'm screwed. "I placed this order one week ago. It is for 1000 business cards on 16pt stock with rounded corners. This is my 4th order with GotPrint in the past few months. My first three orders all finished production and shipped within three days. However, this order is still in production. Customer Service tells me their scheduled turn-around time for my order is 8-12 business days. I do not understand how this can be. My order is for business cards, not some custom catalogue. NOBODY takes 2-3 weeks to print business cards (not including shipping). Nobody of any production size anyway. I've been going to them for years and I love their print quality. However, the last time I used them (two weeks ago) I noticed that my prints were all uneven. I always print with borders around the image, and I use their template as a guide, and in the previous years they printed perfect. The image was centered and beautiful. So why is one side all chopped off and the image now uneven? It makes me and my business look very unprofessional. When I brought this up to them, they said they would offer me a $50 credit. Okay, but why not reprint them all for me? $100 credit would have been nicer because what am I supposed to do now? Throw the bad ones away? (which 2/3 of the 2500 postcards are bad and I spent $140 on them!) I'm really hesitant to come back here. I'd think they'd continue with their quality service as they had in the past, especially because I've used them before AND I made sure to proof and double-proof my work. Note: At the bottom you can read my first comment. First of all I will only print with GotPrint in the future if my client doesn't have a tight deadline. I can get past the less than average service just because the prices are so darn cheap. I have had several orders go hitch-free and turn out wonderfully, but if you have a client with a tight deadline and wouldn't have the time to wait 2 weeks for a re-print I'd say go elsewhere and pay more. If your deadline is flexible and you are knowledgeable enough to figure out all the rules for sending files, and you appreciate cheap printing with decent quality, then this is the place for you. Be patient and keep these things in mind and you won't have the headaches I did. I will say I am happy to hear they are finally "expediting" the printing and shipping for my order. I don't know if I believe it's actually going to arrive faster, but it feels nice to know someone knows about your issues and finally had someone to talk to that didn't give generic robo-answers. I still feel like this whole re-print could have been handled better but you get what you pay for and we wanted cheap so we got it. I will continue to print here for flexible deadline jobs. The only reason I am printing here again is because regardless of unsatisfactory service, the print quality is great. My clients appreciated the affordable rates I give them too. FIRST COMMENT: "In the past I have had no troubles with GotPrint...that is until a recent order. The save the date and wedding invite turned out great, EXCEPT that they had fine black lines on them! Very obvious, visible to the eye black lines on white background. Please hire more customer service representatives to answer phones. I used the "call back feature" for your system to "save my place in line so a representative [will call me] back in the order that [my call was] received," following the instructions exactly, making sure the number I left was perfect. I waited three hours for the call back. Now I'M calling back, and have been on hold for 20 minutes and counting. the following message was sent to MasterCard; After providing my credit card number and receiving a order conformation email. They asked me to fax a copy of my card to their number. This was after a month or more of us making changes to the print job to meet their specs. If they had asked for a copy on day one I wouldn't have wasted my time. I have been a victim of card credit card fraud by no flaunt of my own, I'm not going to fax a copy of my card just because its their company policy and I would hope that MasterCard would not allow this. I contacted Barclay card that issued my card and they said I should never fax a copy of my card. Canceling this order is creating a hardship for my small business. I hoping that MasterCard can verify my information and ask them to complete my order. I look forward to your response. This was an abysmal experience that was ALSO expensive. No, the product may not be cheap, but when you've had a designer create something custom to their specifications, you get the lovely surprise that their shipping is OUTRAGEOUS. I hate being "tricked" into buying cheap products. It's horrible customer service and it's totally dishonest. (Shipping from one state away cost me as much as 250 cards I purchased...) Email them with a problem? They will NEVER get back to you. Never. Three emails later with complaints or questions, I never got a response. Email with a question that sounds like it may translate into business, BAM -- a response. My package arrived quickly because I left a scathing review about the customer service on their "live chat" survey. I am sure they just were hoping to get rid of me. Package arrived with NO invoice, no receipt, no "thank you". If you value a relationship with your suppliers, especially should something go wrong like in my case, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. As I told GotPrint, I will pay more for product from someone who is upfront about their costs rather than work with dishonest businesses trying to take advantage of people like me who didn't have the time to hunt down another printer. I am disappointed. I will never use this company again and I will tell everyone I can how shady and irresponsible they are. EDITED TO ADD: Quality is even worse than I originally thought. About every 5th card looks like a cloud hovered between the ink and the printer because they're patchy. I can't believe I paid for this crap. read more

Horrible experience with this company. I placed my order 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received my flyers. I've called customer service 3 times and everytime there's an excuse. The only thing offered was a $5 off my next purchase, but I WILL NOT be ordering from them again. I cancelled my order today. I would not recommend this company. read more

Massive failure. Not only did the "rush" order end up not being so "rushed" but when we received our products, the primary color was nothing like what was on the file sent to them. Our color is a true aqua blue - Pantone color, RGB and CMYK codes provided. What they printed was a dull, gray-green. When we sent them the pictures of what we received, they dismissed it and blamed it on us. It was clearly obvious it was the result of a mass printing of them putting it on the press with other jobs. Even if you do not do a spot color on it, what resulted was so far off from the original it was unbelievable. When I called their customer service to discuss, I was told the only option I had was to email quality control via my account and the original order. What that said to me was that they do not want to face or deal with their poor results. They got our money. The worse part is that they didn't even own up to it, nor did they try to rectify it. DO NOT waste your time, money or energy with these guys. Their customer service is non-existent and their product results are more than disappointing. read more

Update--- GotPrint refunded my money which is good. So here's how I feel about it, it's a fine place if you know what you're doing, like I said below. They're going to give you exactly what you ask for and at a good price and you can pick it up, which saves shipping costs. But if you need extra attention, maybe go somewhere else. Amended review--- I did get quite a few responses from "Quality Control" and I appreciate that. I am not a photographer or designer, I'm just a regular person who wants a great looking business card. So even though "my files match", when I hold the card up to the file on my computer, the business card is very, very red, where the image on my computer is not. The instant online proof on the computer was not red or I would not have been OK with it. I was sitting with a friend and neither one of us had an issue with the color when we saw it on the computer. So, I guess, if you know your stuff, color density, etc., GotPrint is for you. If you don't and just go by what you see, maybe take it somewhere where you can actually see a proof printed before you complete your order. (Remember the girl at the front desk said "It happens all the time".) This place has gotten great reviews! Everyone pretty much loves it. For me though, I need a little more attention. If GotPrint offered that, I'd pay a little extra. Not all of us are experts. Original review--- You get what you pay for. I loved the prices, then I picked up my business cards and my face is really red. I look like I've had a few. The patient girl at the front desk, because believe me I was not happy, said "It happens all the time" and gave me instructions how to email somebody about it. You know, it costs nothing because no one looks at it ever. If they did, someone would've said, "I don't think this lady is a lobster." Before I picked them up, my friend Norman said his GotPrint cards were too pink and I got a sinking feeling. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Also, DO NOT pay for the instant online proof. Totally worthless since it's hard to tell what color anything is online. Placed an order for hangtags on Saturday 6/14 - everything went through fine and I approved the mock up the same day. Now, I will preface by saying I did not read the fine print on the print times for their products but assumed I would have them in a timely fashion. I do a LOT of printing with various groups and have never had to wait more than a week for a small job. On 6/20 I send an email asking when it will be out of "in print" status. I received an email 6/21 telling me that my order will ship out on 6/30 - and that their turnaround time is 4-8 business days on my specific item. OK -- so even if it was 8 days....that would mean it should ship out on June 25th -- or the 26th at the LATEST. Why is it not being shipped until the 30th --- I call to cancel since I already placed an order with another printer because I needed the item this week. I was told I need to email them to cancel and that if it is not in process then I could get a full refund otherwise they can only refund shipping charges... I send an email - they tell me sorry the items are being printed and they can only refund shipping charges. I call BULL. If the order is being printed -- why the hell would you not ship it until 6.30? So they steal money....and do not abide by their own timelines. NEVER AGAIN will I use this company. ETA - 6/23/14 - I did receive a call today to apologize for the miscommunication and the rep noted they were changing their procedures so that customers are more aware of their turnarounds at checkout.
