I've read the other reviews before ordering, and was concerned. Some reviewers liked them, and others HATED them. But the price was so much better than anything else I could find, that I decided to "risk" it. What a great decision. We ordered 5000 posters at a ridiculous price (~$94). We even got a few dollars discount for using the online-proof option. They arrived about a 10 days later (standard shipping ~$30), and everything was perfect!! As I'm writing this, my wife is placing our second order with them. This time it's 5000 business cards (2 sides, full color) for about $40. Only use this service if you have time for reprints and the cost savings is so good you don't mind paying twice. I'm in the marketing industry and have used GotPrint several times without issue. However, this time was different, and I'm really disappointed in how the company chose to respond. I ordered 2,500 business cards, checked them, approved the proof, then got cards that are out of alignment. The bottom line of contact information hits the bottom of the card. It didn't have the margins the card was set up with and are not usable. Just in case it was my fault, I asked the files be checked, I asked for either a free reprint, if it was their fault, or a discounted reprint if it was my fault. I don't care whose fault it was, I just want usable product ASAP. How could it be my fault when the proof looked fine? It's a mystery, but hey, I wanted to be open and just resolve this ASAP. I had to open two trouble tickets because the first time, I got a scripted, "we're sorry you had problems" response with zero resolution, then they closed the ticket before I could respond. The second trouble ticket I opened, they requested that I go to the time and expense of mailing samples? They have samples on file, they have the proof, and the have the source files! It is a ridiculous delay tactic that probably works well for them, since I imagine most people don't have time or energy to deal with it, and can't wait weeks for the issue to clear up before getting their product. I don't. Since the cost to them is next to nothing, any company with decent customer service would just have reprinted the cards without fuss or done it again at cost - I wouldn't mind paying, I just want the stupid cards. As a test, which will be followed by a blog post on www.rockthestatusquo.info, I am placing a new order today, paying in full with text pulled in with double the margin of before,This way, I'll bypass the customer service BS and move things along, I'll pay in full for the new order (recycling the original order - see you later, $35). A note to the GotPrint management team - you may have saved the cost of a tiny reprint job, or the "pain" of doing a reprint at cost, but is the resulting bad press really worth it? There are too many cheap sources for mass printing to deal with this type of customer service. If you were to invest in decent customer service, your business would probably skyrocket impressively. It's definitely a better investment in your business than online banner ads and pay-per-click advertising that you currently seem to invest so heavily in. UPDATE: I posted this review, and got a response within hours - nice job paying attention to online activity, GotPrint! They are reprinting the order free of charge. They did dispute my statement that I did not get a resolution with the first trouble ticket, so let me clarify. The first ticket response did mention they could give me a discount on my next order. It didn't appear to include any discount or promo code and the ticket was closed - leaving me with no clear way to move the issue forward. I was not interested in a re-order, just having the poor job redone. In my opinion, that was not any kind of resolution, just a pat response. I have been using GP for nearly five years and have never had one single problem. I am a photographer and graphic designer by trade so I expect only the best! They are not the quickest, but they are the most cost effective and their quality is superior. Their turn around times and procedures are clearly stated on their website, so if you simply read before jumping into it you will be fine. Customer service sucks! They don't listen to you (on online chat or in email). 4 days ago I spent a couple hours designing postcards and business cards. Nothing saved in the "saved" area of my account. The next day I redid them all again. It said it was saving as I went along, but the next day when I went in to tweek a few things, nothing was saved. I emailed customer service and they said to clear out my cookies and cache on my computer. Not sure why that has anything to do with it, besides I was on a different computer the last time. Created it all for the 3rd time, still not saved. Emailed them 2 more times and no response. Sorry gotprint.com, you may be cheap but what good is it if I have to spend hours re-doing everything and still not get anywhere... and no response from you. Updated. They stood on their head to make things right. I was impressed. N.S. did a great job in communicating. I have been using GP for a while now. Unfortunately I sense a real change in direction. Early on turnaround us exceptional but then fell way off. It seemed to take twice as long. Two orders ago was delivered without the backs of the postcards being printed. They corrected and sent another order. All in it took three times as long. Somehow there was plenty of time to do it over. Last order was timely and correct. My current order was timely but sent to the wrong customer. My real estate postcards are in Georgia at an "improve your abs business" and theirs are here with me in Florida. They and we are equally unhappy. Time sensitive information needs to be processed and distributed quickly. My advice to GP: take the time to get it done right the first time. Last week, which could have been one of the worst days in a long time for me health-wise, I received the double-sided postcards I sent to you for production for the corporate board I belong in Philadelphia. The excitement to open the carefully packaged box was too much and once I did I could NOT believe my eyes! The postcards turned out absolutely perfect in every possible way... The color, the trimming, the glossy coating were all professionally done. As a Graphic Designer it is always an occasion when you are able to hold in your hands something was created out of sketches and pixels on the computer. I'm truly impressed and speechless with how impeccable the quality of the work turned out to be as there is always somewhat of a risk when sending files off-site. This was my first experience with GotPrint. I ordered some business cards in September for an occasion in August. The efficiency of its ordering system was nice and to the point. However, I had opted for rush turnaround and it didn't explain why my order was not shipped two days after approval. I attempted to contact them through their provided email but received no response. Nine days later I sent them another email to which there was also, utterly no response. By then I already knew there was no hope of me receiving the package at the date I was looking at and I was wondering if I was ever going to receive it at all. There were also issues with the tracking number which told me to contact the shipper. However, despite the delay in turnaround (four-five days), the silence from their customer service, and the issue with shipping, I did receive my purchase in the end. To that end I am very pleased with the quality of the cards although I was quite concerned by the deviation from what they stated on their site and the lack of responses to my inquiries on my order. The colours on the darker side of the card appear to be notably darker than I saw on the proof but the reverse side was pretty spot on. read more

I ordered double-sided black business cards and they were absolute trash. The edges of every card were frayed-- like you would expect low-quality recycled paper to be. Not only that, but the cards were cheaply made by pasting two cards together. That wouldn't even be that bad, except the part in the middle is GREEN, which looks hideous on a black card. And the icing on the cake? All sales are final-- so I'm literally going to throw away a $40 box of shitty business cards. Will have to reorder from someone else. read more

GotPrint was my first experience ordering business cards. I was worried because I had an exact idea of what I wanted and I did not want to settle for the limited services of a company. GotPrint was perfect because they have a feature where you simply upload images you wish to print on the front/back of the card and they do it all for you. You can choose to have them help you make a card, but since I already had a design ready it was amazing to just upload some JPEGs and be done. They have various customizable options including surface gloss, card density and width, color options and text options. Plus the price is unbeatable! $8 for 250 cards! Considering 1 in 5 people that receive my cards call me back for professional services, they make far more than their worth. The only negative I can say is that GotPrint isn't as clear as they could be with describing their customizable options. For example, I was confused what exactly the differences were between each card thickness and surface coat. That is nit picky, but essential for someone inquiring for services. Overall, 5/5 stars. WARNING! This company will not only mess up your order, BUT, then they will ignore it and blame it on you. And wait 2 days after every message you send hoping you get tired. I ordered some cards, and well, I'll just include a picture. This is the message I sent to their "quality control" "Okay, HUGE issue. The BLUE LINE, on my design called 'BLUE LINE' Is purple. It is 100% blue on the cards, yet somehow they came out purple on the actual prints. This is one of the major points of the card, so therefore, you can see why it is a problem. I have no idea why the color looks so vastly different from the website to the actual prints. I mean I keep looking at it telling myself it's just a dark blue. But if you hold it at a certain light it blends in with the black background. Honestly, I'm a little put-off. I was impressed by your super fast shipping, and ability to get the cards to me ASAP. However, with one of the integral designs wrong, I am very disappointed in your workmanship. I don't know why no one on your staff did not think, or wonder why a design called 'blue line' printed a purple line on the middle of the card. There were no indications of the names of colors on the website, so I assumed the colors on the card that I designed online would match the colors on the actual card. I call them on the phone and a care less representative couldn't help me at all, I tried online chatting, same thing. I don't think I will be using this company until they either make the site easier to use or they upload a an instructional video. Right now I'm very disappointed. Marvaughn H. was the chat/support agent - I explained my issue in detail, he said: "We do not assist customers with this type of thing." I can go to VistaPrint or Kinkos & do "self-service" business cards! I then asked: "can I pay extra to have someone have a look on your side to make sure it looks perfect?" Hello, Horrible service received and email that my business cards had not been started. Apparently I the company had email me twice. I took a screenshot of my email and see no email. I check my spam and cant find anything. Obviously received the current email so I haven't blocked any emails. Second the customer representative was not much help. The website has a glitch when uploading files. In this modern era of technology every one has high resolutions photos. I have tried uploading 2 different photos but only one uploads. The website can be improve by being able to let the customer be able to resize to the dimensions required. A bit frustrated when you wait a whole week only to know that your business cards have an issue. Time is worth more than money and cannot be given back. Now, one has to pay more somewhere else to get it rush deliver. Nothing like having someone personally handle your business cards and make sure they are right. The worst printing company in LA. Went to print 1000 brochures for our school and it turned into a nightmare. First we get emails saying we need to resubmit our order, then we are told there is an issue with the template, then they do a manual proof which we never see, then they delay the order and only after we call and bother them several times do we get somewhere with them. Then the real fun starts... We go to pick up the order and the 1000 brochures are using the image from our last brochure not our new one! We call them right away to figure out what happened and immediately they get combative and make it known there is no way it can be their fault. They swear up and down we had to have loaded the old image however there is no way we could have as we don't have that image on the new computer in the folder we sent it from. After going back and forth they say they will have quality control call us. They never do. But they do post a message to our account saying that our brochures will be recycled in 3 days and we will not get a refund. We call back, they say they will send us a proof of what they printed from. They never do. We call them back again and this time the guy we talked to does not seem to care at all. They finally email us a proof but it is from the old print with the old file that we could not have sent them. Never using this company again. I've been using GotPrint for three years now for business cards for my team and book marks for my books and, until the most recently order, felt they did excellent work and had great prices. However, the last cards I received had a red tinge to them. This follows two orders two weeks earlier that were perfect. My two stars isn't for the history I've have with them but, rather, for the terrible customer service I just experienced. I think when things are good here, they seem great. But when there's a problem, they have terrible customer service. After numerous emails saying "too bad, we can't do anything" from their QC department, I asked to speak with a manager who put me through hoops to prove that the cards weren't done properly and then didn't offer to reprint either. He basically wanted me to do all of the heavy lifting. With all of the printers out there, you'd think they'd want to keep a long-standing customer. Guess that shows how much they value their customers. I do not recommend this company. REVIEW UPDATE: I just saw GotPrint's response and wanted to clarify a few things: 1. I've actually been using GotPrint since April 2012 - so I've been a customer for nearly 4 years. 1. The initial "fix" GotPrint's QC department offered me was $5 off on my next order. No compensation for the order that I can't use. If I wanted the fix, I'd have to pay for it all over again - minus five dollars. This is hardly the way to engender customer loyalty. 2. The second "fix" GotPrint offered me, which E.S. refers to below, was that I get in my car, drive to the post office or other shipper, and ship the poor quality order back to them AT MY EXPENSE and then they'd refund my money. How is that valuing me and my time in the least? 3. The manager himself noted that nearly all of our business cards have been printed on the same paper as the order I just received that is of poor quality. What happened with the paper on my last set of cards is a mystery to me. But the other 8 orders are all on the same paper - he could see that in the computer himself. As with every other person giving them a negative review there customer service is bad, I mean the worst. We had a customer that needed a brochure. We put a rush on the order they emailed us approval and stated that it would be shipped on a Friday for our customer getting it on a Tuesday. Come to see they hadn't even printed it on the ship date. They would not make it right we had to pay out of our pocket to a local company to get a fraction of the order done. They said they would not make it right since they didn't charge our card. (Note they will not charge your card until they have finished and shipped the item so they can get away with this type of behavior) Note legally they were liable for this as they approved the order and stated that it was going to print. We never got any updates until Friday when we had to call them and to find out that they hadn't even shipped it. We are currently looking for a new printer. And have to sue got print. On hold with 10 people before me, so waited. The agent put me on hold and came back with a garbled '38 point trifecta is backordered'. I had no idea what she meant. After several times asking I realized the paper for my business cards was back ordered. For 3 more weeks. When I asked why they didn't email me or update the order info, she said they were calling people. Calling people??? She asked me if my phone information was right, and they should be calling soon. Two major orders I placed with GotPrint arrived with significant problems. GotPrint handled my complaint in an immature and unprofessional way: they closed my account. If I read between the lines of their past few messages to me, I think they're trying to blackmail me with Yelp. They've basically told me that if I don't update this review to a favorable number of stars, my account at GotPrint will remain closed. Since I wrote my Yelp review about my account closure, GotPrint issued a refund for the numerous print quality problems (which I appreciate) - but they also argued with me about the validity of my complaint (repeatedly, even in response to the Yelp review) In the past week, they've basically told me (quotes are direct quotes): * A verbally abusive employee is not a concern to them. * "The customer isn't always right" * "You don't know what you're talking about" * Matte paper doesn't have to be matte. They describe their matte paper as "semi-gloss", "slight gloss" and "has a sheen", and if I'm not satisfied with their flexible definition of matte, it cannot be considered false advertisement. Blocked access to my account (including my past invoices and order specs, which I need) and their arguing of the validity of well-documented print quality problems and personnel problems, shows their lack of willingness and immature attitude toward resolving problems as they arise and their poor treatment of a loyal customer. I will not lie just to reinstate my account. I shouldn't have to beg to spend money with this company. They should earn a good Yelp review through good product, service, and quality, not through blackmailing. They *did* print on the wrong paper type, and the prints *were* low quality. I ordered business cards and paid for RUSH processing, and RUSH shipping (Order3180523). My client needed them for an event so it was imperative we received them quickly. I've had other orders with got print in the past that took up to two weeks, so I figured rush processing and rush shipping would at least cut that in half. BOY, WAS I WRONG. I called yesterday to see what the hold up was. They didn't really have a good excuse for why they hadn't been printed after a week, but assured me they would be in my clients hand by friday. Then today, they said there was NO way to make it happen in time. They are completely unapologetic, and I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I've been dealing with these guys for a long time. Ever since they were a small company. It's really unfortunate that they lost their customer service and it has been on the down hill. They totally dropped the ball on me this time and i'm very disappointed. I can't even get my business related materials on time and I placed my order a week in advance. It's really sad how they forget the small businesses that gave them the consistent business. I'm going to look for another printing company because i am just utterly disappointed in their customer service and management team. Fellow Yelpers, stay away from this company. I'm a graphic designer and used GotPrint in 2011 for a client who needed post cards for advertising. When I received the order there were black marks/smudges on the cards. Originally I had used the clients cc for the order, but I did not want to stress the client and tell them them that GotPrint had messed up, so I quickly re-ordered the materials again, "online" late at night, using my cc because the order was urgently needed and I wanted to have the order in GotPrints system, to hit first thing in the morning, ASAP. After I placed the order "for the second time" and rest assurred received it in perfect condition and the client was happy, I then called GotPrint and explained the situation. I asked them if I could send back the box of damaged product and asked for a refund but instead of giving me a REAL credit to either the clients credit card or to my credit card, they gave me a coupon code for $143.09. I accepted this coupon code because I was told it would not expire. Life happened, I had surgery and did not work for sometime but on May 4, 2015 I sent GotPrint a copy of the ORIGINAL email and asked if I could use the coupon code, that is if it was in their system. I then got an email saying that my request is being taken into consideration and there will be another reply, but I never saw a reply following that. Come to today, July 14, 2015, I decide to call them to again inquire if they have the coupon code in their system and they tell me it expired May 30, 2015. After endlessly explaining that the original email sent to me with the coupon code has no expiry DATE and that I was verbally INFORMED their was no expiry DATE for it when I accepted it, I was today told it did have an expiry date. Again, I asked how I could possibly know that, when the ORIGINAL email coupon code receipt had no expiry date on it? Feeling completely baffled, I then asked how it is that the coupon code was good all this time, for over 4 years, until just when I ask to use it? Got Print then claimed they responded by email on May 6, 2015 telling me I had until May 30, 2015 to use it, but I never saw that email or obvisoulsy I would have used the credit. In any case, the summary of it is, that the coupon code had no expiry date but when I asked to use it an expiry date was issued. I spoke with manager George in customer service and he literally mocked me for not using the coupon code, and kept asking me why I didn't reorder the product that was damaged and I told him I had, but he was so determined to teach me a lesson he seemingly failed to understand that I paid twice for the same product. In the end he refused to reopen the coupon code saying it was locked and that everything expires. Yes, I know some people would say I had plenty of time to use the credit but that is not the point, the point is that no where in the receipt of the "coupon code" did it give an expiry date. In all honesty, I was in good faith planning to use this coupon code but was told it had to be for an order over and above the amount, thus the coupon code was not accessible for small orders and had to be used all at once giving me further constraints. In the end it was very manipulative and unethical to suddenly put an expiry date on a credit (coupon code) just after I inquire about it. I will now be using another printing company for my clients. These people are the worst. Insulting and offensive customer service people. Their turnaround times are at least 5 business days later than advertised and we had to redo 3 of 5 order because the color was so far off the profile. Not worth it. Beware GotPrint AND their rebranded Printograph (which is still GotPrint). The thing is that the most recent order issue isn't the real problem; it's the ongoing attitude that always makes their customers seem to be the ones at fault instead of the company apologizing and working to improve their support system. Further, it seems like it would be better (and more honest) to show a slightly longer estimated turn around time and be pleasantly surprised when it's "early" vs never being on time. As a longtime customer of theirs, this is the pattern. If there's a problem, don't own up to it and tell the customer that it's the customers' fault for not paying attention. Yes, they're cheap. So infuriated with their lack of service that rather than come back and ask for a refund, I'll just see them in small claims court. BEWARE Yelpers! I have never been more frustrated with a business in my entire life, as I am with GotPrint today. As a marketing professional and graphic designer, I have used GotPrint for practically ever. They are cheap and when working at companies with a low budget, you can usually get further with limited funds. I have a ton of experience setting up files to their specifications, so it's never a problem for me. I have only had a problem once before when I set up the file incorrectly (which I take full responsibility for). Recently, I wanted to print my Save the Dates for my wedding through GotPrint to save some money. It not only took me 3 weeks (the maximum amount of turnaround time) to receive them, but when I finally got them, one side was upside down. I thought that maybe it was my own fault, so I went home and checked on the files that I sent to make sure they were sent over in the correct orientation. They were. I even went a step further to confirm with one of their representatives that the steps I followed to set up the file were correct. I had definitely sent the file in the correct orientation. Since I knew they must have made a mistake on their part, I sent a message over to quality control and in the meantime, reordered the cards so that I didn't have to wait any longer to get the correct ones. I used the same orientation for the second order. They asked me (12 hours later) to send them a picture of 5 samples of the product I received that was upside down, so I did. By that time, the proof for my second order had come in, so I checked on it and confirmed it was set up correctly. On the proof it said "this portion" will back up to "this portion", so I knew I had set it up correctly (the same way as the first order) and I approved it. Four hours later, I get a reply from quality control stating that there was nothing wrong with the first order and that they printed them the way that I sent the files.... OKAY, well if that's correct, why don't the cards I received match up with the proof that I just approved today, when they are the same files?? It makes no sense. To top it off, I called their customer service line and the girl I talked to wouldn't put me through to anyone in quality control and basically repeated the same thing to me over and over again like I was a moron. "Ma'am I'm sorry, there's no one else you can talk to." SERIOUSLY?! I got mad and told her I was going to take the rest of my business elsewhere and she said, "Okay, ma'am. That's fine." Really? RUDE. Called again about 30 minutes later to try to get someone else on the phone and was able to get through to someone in quality control who was very nice and told me that there isn't a way to rush the second order since they only run that paper type in small batches, but that he would put a note to have it moved up in the queue for the next run on that paper type. Finally, someone helpful. I didn't want to push the issue any further because I need those cards ASAP so I left it at that. I don't know what else to do about it, since they are so adamant that I sent the files over wrong. I even sent them pictures of the files I set up and they still will not accept responsibility. I'm so unbelievably frustrated and tired of being called a liar. I am not giving up just yet, but I wanted to post this as warning for others not to get in the same situation as me. Regardless of their replies to everyone's comments on here, I can promise you that this company does not care about keeping their customers at all. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO GOTPRINT'S REPLY: I have been ordering from you for a long time, I am not confused. I have had several colleagues (who also order from you) check my artwork as well and agree with me. From reading other reviews here, I am definitely not the only one who has had problems. I have checked every file on my computer and they are set up properly according to the instructions on your website and the instructions your rep gave me. I did not send over vertical files for the first order specifically because the instructions of your website and template request that we rotate them to landscape, which I did according to your instructions. So if that is the proof I approved, someone at your company edited the artwork before sending me that proof and I was in too big a hurry to fully check it over. Lesson learned. Eh. They're ok. You would think that their low prices would make up for the low print quality or that they are painfully slow in getting the job done. But there are better printers out there. Might cost more but you'll be happier knowing that your project will look better and be done faster somewhere else. If I could write a worse review than one star, I would. As a long time customer of over 8 years, I ordered a product that was a must have with ample time for production and delivery. They ignored my ftp file upload for over a week at which point I called to see what was going on. Promise upon promise that my order will get done on time and in my hands by the day I needed them. Each day I called to get the status update for a week straight to make sure my order was going to be to me on time. And....the order will show up a full week after I needed them for a trade show, forcing me to quickly go a sub par printed route out of desparation and costing me hundreds of dollars for their mistake.
