She had me get undressed and I had nothing to cover myself for when she returned. I know she's going to see it, but the hallway doesn't have to! So she begins the prepping, sprays my crotch directly like she's washing a window, and dries me with paper towels, or sand paper? It felt the same. Next a pile of scented baby powder, great. I asked if it had talc because that's a big no no on my crotch. She had no idea, checked the bottle, no talc, but then asked what talc was. ‍ After every time she touched something she Didn't sanitize, she just seemed to change gloves or add a new one? It was odd, but whatever works I guess. Finally it came to the actual sugaring. She MICROWAVES the whole jar right next to me, several times, checking by tapping the inside of the jar to see if it's ready. The other place I have gone before, and will only go now, uses special warmers because sugar wax is basically food and will cook in a microwave. My esthetician let me know this was how ALL of the Sugaring NYC's do it that way. A national chain can't afford the proper equipment? No, they're just cheap and greedy. So the the hair removal starts, this was way extremely painful not at all like I'm used to. I had to stop her so I wouldn't be bruised. She did discount me since we didn't do the full service and I tipped her the same because it isn't her fault, it's the company who didn't give her the tools or training.
