Probably every house in my neighborhood received hail damage a couple of years ago (like at least 20 broken tiles), and as I watched the repairs going on, there was one company that was in evidence more than any other, Gorilla Roof. I was impressed with the new finished roofs, liked how they looked, and they seemed to move through the process of removing the old tiles, replacing the new tiles, and putting on the new gutters much more quickly than some of the other companies. (My friend's roof took over a month, while mine was done, start to finish, in 8 working days this summer, 2020.) Got ahold of Ed Jacobs and Myles, chose my tiles and underlayment, and filled out the HOA forms...(well, actually I forwarded the form to Ed and HE filled it out!) It was approved in a couple of days, and the large dumpsters were delivered right after that and the work began. I had an EXCELLENT, as in 10/10, experience with Ed and Myles, not only are they personable, but every concern was addressed to my satisfaction, every phone call and email answered quickly. I don't believe there is a better roofing company out there, I feel like I got the best that could be had in the Denver area. I will highly recommend this company to all of my friends and neighbors! Thanks for everything, Ed and Myles! UPDATE: It is now almost 4 years later. Everything's holding up great! One thing I forgot to mention is that I told Ed when he first came to look at the roof, that when it rains, water pours into the window upstairs, and somehow finds its way (straight down the drywall) to drip onto the kitchen table in the room below. He knew what the problem was, and took care of it. I've never had any more water come in that window or any other. My house is nice and dry still and the roof is holding up great, even against more hail we've had in my area! I had Myles come out recently for some warranty work, and he took care of everything in good order, even going above and beyond with taking care of some problems with a gutter that happened when a tree branch or something hit it. The workers were were respectful of the property and covered every square inch of my yard, making sure EVERY nail was picked up and all the debris was gone so my dogs wouldn't get hurt. Gorilla Roof recently replaced our roof. We took a hit back in May 2019, from one of Denver's hail storms. They did an excellent job! They worked with the insurance company every step of the way and were in agreement on the cost. They did everything they said they would even down to sweeping the yard with a magnet to pick up any stray nails. They finished on time and on budget. Our home's roof was trashed from the spring hailstorm of 2017 and after interviewing several roofing companies we decided on Gorilla. Steve Pappa was our project manager and he could not have been more attentive or professional. After meeting with him the first time, I immediately felt I could trust him. For the duration of the project he was extremely quick to reply to my inquiries, needs and was very patient while my insurance company worked through their own challenges. My neighbor who has built homes for many years watched as they put on our new roof (had to be totally redone to bring up to code) and he said they did a great job. The crew was professional, efficient and I don't recall finding any debris, nails or garbage leftover anywhere after completion. When you have a project as significant as replacing a roof where so many things can go wrong, it's a relief when you find a company like Gorilla. I'm a happy camper. Highly recommend! read more

We contracted with Gorilla Roof solely because our neighbor is one of their project managers. We were expecting great customer service and a pleasant contractor experience since the project manager would always be right next door! Unfortunately, our hopes were immediately dashed. In retrospect, we should have shopped around instead of going with the first contractor who came calling. We were planning a refinance to sell our home and needed to get an appraisal - but that could happen only AFTER the roof was completed. We were anxious to get the roof fixed and the house on the market, but unfortunately, we ended up waiting A FULL 3 MONTHS before Gorilla even started on our roof - with other roofing companies having finished homes in our neighborhood months prior. The communication with the company was so poor - texts left unanswered, hours on end with no sign of the roofing crew, phone calls not returned - that we thought for certain at one point our project had been abandoned. The crew just disappeared after the first day, having shown up 3 hours late, leaving 6 inch-long nails, tacks, miscellaneous garbage and metal sharps, big clumps of sludge from the gutters, even workers' clothing all over our front lawn. Bushes and saplings had been trampled. It certainly didn't look like they were coming back. After finally speaking with the project manager, I was told they'd start at 7 am the next morning and finish by noon, but after many texts and calls to the manager and owner when no one had even shown up by noon, I was getting nervous - and frustrated. The crew finally made their appearance over 9 HOURS past their scheduled start time! They were to start at 7 am, but actually started at 4:30 pm. A bad start finished with an even worse end as I expressed my concerns to the owner, Ed Jacobs, who basically told me there was nothing they were going to do to fix this. He didn't even apologize for the problems we'd encountered by hiring his company instead of a more reputable one. His "sucks to be you" attitude was not what I was expecting from the owner of the company whom I had invited into my home and paid $10,000 to fix my roof. My advice: don't just go with the first contractor who asks to do your roof - even if you have known him since he was 11 years old. Go for a company who has your best interests as a home owner and a client in mind - a company who will courteously communicate with you and fix any problems they create. read more

Our experience with Gorilla Roofing could not have been better. The original inspector pointed out exactly the reason that we needed a roof replacement and walked us through the whole process. i didn't get to work with Ed Jacobs until I started having problems with my loan servicing company. My insurance payments were quick, but the loan servicing company had to be involved due to the amount of my insurance claim and they kept losing documents and caused many delays. Thank fully Ed understood the dilemma and worked with is through the whole process, which should have taken a much shorter time. It is nice to see that customer service is still the first priority with this company, especially since it is virtually non-existent elsewhere. read more
