I had the pleasure of working with Justin and Lauren at Bear Brothers this past Fall. I couldn't be more impressed with their professionalism, quality of work, and customer service. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, their team was punctual, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough. They took the time to explain all the options available to me, providing honest recommendations that helped me make an informed decision. The work was completed on time and with great attention to detail. My new roof looks amazing. I'm adding a picture of it while using my drone to fly in January to check it out. I was out of town at the time of the roof installation, everything was completed and cleaned perfect. I highly recommend Bear Brothers Roofing to anyone in need of roofing services. Their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is truly unmatched. Thank you for making this experience smooth and worry-free!" Thanks! Ryan L read more

I called Bear Brothers Roofing because I had a leak in my garage ceiling. Justin came out, went on the roof and found a couple of ceiling tiles out of place and a few nail holes where water was coming in. He filled the holes and placed the tiles back in place securely. Problem fixed! Fast forward to this week and I noticed another problem with my roof. The stucco on the side of my house looked like it had a wet stain. The soffit also looked like it was sagging. I again called Justin at Bear Brothers Roofing. It turned out to be a problem with the gutter and not the roof. He went ahead and fixed the problem even though it wasn't the roof. I so appreciate this company! I will be calling them again if need be in the future!! read more

If i could this company a 0 star review I would. They replaced our roof in Sept 2023. Poor work quality and their workers left trash and used nails all over our property. So we paid for thits roof without them ever having it inspected. So after 6 months.I brought it to jon retors attn. He became hostile amd told it had been done. Then, a week later he tells me it wasnt. A couple of weeks later it gets inspected and fails. After fixing the incorrectly installed shingles they are demanding we pay double the remaining balance. Jon rector is a terrible communicator and does not follow up on his projects. Horrible experience with these guys and will be spreading the word read more

Working with Bear Brothers was super easy. They came to my house, explained the whole process up front, communicated all the way along the way, and completed the process quickly. The roof was done on time and with no issues. There were no surprises with pricing either. They worked directly with the insurance company to get everything figured out. All I had to do was approve the work and pay them. Definitely would recommend working with these guys. read more

Bear Brothers Roofing is a local roofing company that has been in business for 20 years, and they are amazing. Justin was our contractor and we were nothing but happy with our experience with him from start to finish. He is not only super friendly, but also knowledgable and informative. He always took time with us to answer any and all of our questions and was just an email or phone call away when we had more questions :) He was quick to reply to any email or text when arranging logistics too, which was awesome. The crew who came out were very professional, friendly, and hardworking and did a completely stellar job. Both of my brothers are contractors (in another state) and schooled their sister on all the things I needed to make sure were done :) Bear Brothers absolutely met and exceeded our expectations. Thank you Justin and thank you Bear Brothers. Highly recommend. read more

My new roof was just finished by Bear Brothers Roofing and it's beautiful. Chet and his crew were fabulous, helpful, and respectful. The clean up far surpassed my expectations leaving my property better then they found it, not a nail or scrap of discarded material anywhere. Construction projects don't always go the way we plan, but this one far exceeded my expectations. Thank you Bear Brothers! read more

I am a project manager at Bear Brothers and compared to the other construction companies I have worked for they are honest and fair to their workers, the owners are there in the trenches helping when times are good and when they are tough, they care about our well being, and they have a true desire to do their best job possible. I am proud to work here! read more

By far the worst experience of my life. If you value your money, home or patience this is NOT the company to use. This company took 4 months to complete my roof because the first roof they did had to be torn off due to the crap work they did. They re-decked my roof and screwed it up so much that you could see into my attic, torn shingles and my roof will never the same. The workers helped themselves to anything that was on my patio and trashed my yard every time they worked on the house. I also had a worker show up at my house at 8pm telling me "my boss said you are mad". As a single female this made me very uncomfortable. AND once they finished the work they sent me threatening emails telling they are going to put a lien on my home if I dont pay now.....even tho the city had NOT even came to inspect their work. They left a latter tied to my house for 3 weeks after the inspection was done. I have already had to replace the gutters, as they flew off in the wind since they were NOT attached correctly and all parts to attach the gutters were left in the gutters and when I asked the owner about it, I was told "We did our due diligence. I am now having to hire real professionals to fix their crap work. Complete Bullies! Don't waste your time and energy, hire a company that will complete the work correctly and on time. read more

I just finished talking to one of the partners of this company (both attempted to contact me). He was very apologetic and accepted full responsibility for his employees's behavior. He also informed me that the person I dealt with no longer works with the company, which is a plus. My advice to them is to assign somebody specific to fulfill these kinds of requests and let their own staff & us customers know who is the point of contact. Although he did not offer to correct one small issue from the work they did when I mentioned it during our phone conversation (which HE SHOULD'VE), I have decided to up the rating. They contacted me and the person I interacted with doesn't work for them, it shows they care about their business. I repeat, right now the roof looks OK but only time will tell. I cannot rate their actual work yet but only their timeliness. read more

I am beyond impressed with the honesty and integrity of this company! A couple years ago we had roofers from a different company canvasing the neighborhood and knocking on doors that told us that we "really needed to replace our roof immediately". We then had Bear Brothers come out and they told us that the roof was actually in pretty good shape and would probably last us several more years. They were right! and they saved me from making an unnecessary and expensive insurance claim! Fast forward 5 years later to last week when I noticed the crazy wind storm we had earlier knocked a few shingles loose from the roof. Bear Brothers came out again to inspect and, again, instead of recommending a complete new roof and pocketing the money, they did a simple repair and recommended that we wait a bit longer for the complete replacement. When that time comes I will, without a doubt, call Bear Brothers again! Not only do they have what's best for me at the top of their list, every crew member that I've dealt with has been professional and very kind. I HIGHLY recommend this company! read more

4 star rating for superb customer service throughout the process of replacing my roof. We just got past the inspection and everything looks to be top quality. They were fast and easy to deal with. Roof looks great. I'd recommend using these guys for any roofing needs. read more

Decent roof install. Our job was done within the timeframe they gave us. We experienced a few billing issue but this was resolved quickly.

I had Bear Brothers do a full blown roof job on my 1942 house in Hilltop after my neighbor across the street used them. Julian was the point man and I have to say he is a great guy. They removed the original cedar shake under the asphalt shingles and reduced the roof with OSB. Although it is a very messy job they didn't leave a mess at all. The guys doing the work were very respectful to me and my property. The job got done in a timely manner and the workmanship was excellent. The cost was less than I expected. All in all, I am very pleased. They also fixed me up with a gutter guys that were very good and very reasonable. I'd recommend they highly as no nonsense roofers. read more

Bear Brothers roofing replaced my shake shingle roof in March. They did an amazing job from dealing with State Farm to cleaning up all the debris from the installation. Wes was great to deal with, he was available, informative and always kept me up to date with everything that was going on. The crew was fast (they did the entire project in 2 days!!), friendly and respectful. Overall, the experience was very positive and I now have a brand new, beautiful roof. read more

After the hail storm back in August 2018 we needed a honest, reliable roofer to help us with our roofing needs. Dan Mehan at Bear Brothers Roofing was recommended to us by a neighbor and we couldn't be happier with how Dan treated us and our roof! Especially after seeing how our neighbor's roof looked after the job... And honestly during the job! We noticed that Dan was very careful in making sure all the residual "mess" was cleaned from the yard and driveway. Dan was just as through with our installation also. Dan is straight forward and honest. I have his card and will be calling Dan for any future roofing/gutter needs! Thanks a bunch Dan and enjoy that well deserved vacation this week ;-) read more

So after getting hit with the hail storm in April I waited for all the out of town riffraff to leave. I then started calling roofing contractors and through my own process of elimination I chose Bear Brothers, and I'm glad I did. Chet was our project manager and did a fantstic job keeping in touch with me and always returned my calls promptly. We have a unique addition of a sunroom on our house and after talking with a few different people at Bear Brothers we finally agreed on a solution to a worry that both they and I had about working on the addition. Chet even helped me find a company that might be helping us fix the windows on the sunroom as well. The work was done in a timely manor and our new roof looks great. Thanks Chet and Bear Brothers for the great customer service. read more

Do not use this company. They do not show up when they say they are going too. They started working on the roof on a day they were not scheduled and my girlfriend was trying to sleep (night nurse). No consideration for your time or schedule. They completed the roof, but wont finish the other agreed upon fixes of the house. They harassed me for payment saying they would come back and finish the job. Now they refuse to finish after 6 months of waiting. Horrible company, if you value your time, money, and sanity, do not work with this company. read more

Bear Brothers replaced our roof June 2019 after a hail storm. They came highly recommended by Allstate. Everything has was done quick & painlessly with no problems. Fast forward to today and we are selling our house. The inspection report came back requesting a minor repair in the attic. One of their service techs, Steve Riedesel came out the same day. He was courteous & quick. Dan provided an email documenting the adjustment for the new buyers. Justin Smith was also helpful in providing a warranty confirmation that the new owners can have transferred to them since it is good for 4 more years. We were very happy with their quick follow through on a warranty item. Thanks guys! read more

I just finished reading the reviews on this site. It, from my experience is rating this company unfairly and are posting very old information. One review rating of this company on this "yelp" site review refers to something happening SIX years ago. Reviews posted since late 2015 rate them very well. BBB rates them very well. Shame on the reviews that are posted for misleading people at this time. As a customer,I experienced more than exceptional service. He was attentive - asking me questions to eliminate any concerns before any arose, focused on "his" workers doing a good job and making sure if anything was needed it was taken care of expeditiously by being onsite the whole day the work was done, discussing how the financing/invoicing will work, making sure the house was well protected and outside chairs/umbrellas, etc. were well out of the way from the work area before it began, communicating with his workers to make sure they were well/ok, making sure the complete perimeter work was cleaned properly when the work was complete, and last but not least sharing some fun times while he was getting all the above accomplished as well as other work and meetings he may have had. Great job, sir! For 32 years, I worked for a company as a manager. I can honestly say if Mr. Ridgeway came to me asking for a job and I knew what I know right now, I would hire him on the spot. Judging from my experience and reading some of the most current reviews as well as their rating (A+) with BBB, I highly recommend this company for roofing repair. read more

I am so impressed with Dan Mehan over at Bear Brothers. The recent hail storm was so crazy I was worried that my roof was going to cave in! Dan checked the damage and took the time to explain everything to me, even showed me pictures. He explained my policy (which I thought was written in Greek). Today the adjuster came out and Bear Bros came too- I think that's awesome! No disagreements and from seeing the roof work on my neighbors home, I know that Bear Brothers is going to take care of me! read more

I highly recommend Bear Roofing and Wes if you want the job done right with great customer service. 5 stars . read more

Estimator, tried to scam me of all my insurance money when I need a bid on my roof. Dont use these guys

I had this company replace my roof, and had nothing but problems. The skylights were 'snowing' the chimney leaked, they used 2 different color flashing (neither were the right color), and overall the work was poorly done and took months to be completed. I ended up having to pay another company to fix the work. When the company was presented with the problems, I was told nothing was wrong, told to 'shut my hole', bullied and threatened. There were material and pricing discrepancies, and overall was a nightmare. The website says they are BBB accredited, which they are not. Their membership with the BBB is now pending. Stay far far away from this company - they overcharge, do not stand by their work and are extremely unpleasant to deal with and overall very unprofessional. read more

I hired Bear Brothers to replace the roof on my home over 6 years ago- the work was never completed properly and the incorrectly installed gutters resulted in water damage to the interior of my home. Attempts to correct the issues failed, despite repeated promises to resolve the outstanding issues. I'm now being forced to pursue legal action to remedy the situation- a massive waste of time and money for what should have been a very simple roofing job. I would strongly suggest giving your business to a legitimate roofing business- NOT Bear Brothers. read more

Our cedar shake roof was damaged by a severe hail storm, and our insurer, USAA, declared it a total loss. Our replacement cost coverage meant we would only owe the $1,000 deductible even though hand split heavy cedar shakes are very expensive these days. We really liked the appearance of our cedar shakes but had concerns about their flammability, so we felt that we needed to change to a different roofing material. I did some research on local roofing companies and contacted three of them. Matt and Jessi from Bear Brothers Roofing were the first to come visit us. I gave them a copy of the USAA estimate, and after reviewing it they said that they could replace the roof for that price. They recommended replacing the cedar shakes with a product called CeDUR shakes. They are solid polyurethane and molded to look like real shakes and are available in several different shake colors. They are extremely fire and hail resistant and also highly wind resistant. In addition they have an excellent long-term warranty. Subsequently we had visits from the other two companies but in the end we were very impressed with Matt and Jessi and their CeDUR shake recommendation so we signed a contract with them. About six weeks later we had a new CeDUR shake roof that looks really beautiful and will likely last us a very long time. Matt and Jessi are not only sales people; they also were in charge of watching over the construction and were very helpful there too. For example, during the roof removal a radon vent pipe was discovered under a "turtle" vent. Matt offered to get some pipe and other parts to extend the vent above the roof and did that. The next day we both noticed that the white pipe really stuck out (visually) on the otherwise darker roof, so he helped out again by getting some dark brown spray paint and painting it. And then he sprayed a number of other pipes in that area the same color. None of that was in our contract, and there was no charge for it. So we thank Matt, Jessi, Bear Brothers Roofing, the installation crew, and CeDUR for a job well done and for a really beautiful new shake roof. Our highest recommendation is this: If we were to do it over again, we would choose them again. read more

This was a terrible drawn out experience that took months for a simple ranch style roof to be completed. It failed inspection twice because they said they were unaware of changes to city code and then questioned the city inspector. I was told the project manager was let go because of his disrespectful attitude (including cussing) but I'm not sure I believe it. I repeatedly called and emailed the company to get any sort of action to take place. I did speak to two or maybe three or more owners but they really didn't seem to care. I was finally able to get the re-roofing date pushed up but the morning the crew showed up (they were nice, hardworking people) but no materials soooo they had to wait over half the day...not well planned. This just added to the whole experience that they really didn't care. No owner showed up either though they assured me it was a priority (both times it was roofed and the half assed attempt to repair it after first roof put on). Oh, and the gutter leaked after all that but was eventually fixed. I submitted another poor review on another site and one of the owners spoke to me about the possibility of amending it because things had been made right. I was taken aback by the suggestion as I wanted to be honest in my review. If someone does a good job I would never take that for granted, but they did not, so my review stands. read more

Bear Bros. Roofing is the best roofing company in Denver. I know this because they cleared off layers of shingles including 130 yr. old wooden shakes. They proceeded to get rid of the astonishing mountains of all old layers. They decked felted, ice shielded and flashed all chimneys with tin. They then put up 18 sq. of Owens Corning dynamic shingles on the four roofs over my property on Capitol Hill. This took only 2 DAYS. I've never seen any thing like it. It's gorgeous! Really flexible and attentive to my wishes! BTW - they took care of the insurance claim and supplemented to get the necessary funds to get these two historic houses right into the 21st century. read more

Not only did this co. leave roofing nails scattered all over my backyard after they finished, the quality of the job has much to be desired. I had my roof replaced 2 and a half years ago and slowly over the past few months I identified a leak. The co. refused to repair this leak as my 2-year warranty is up. The leak is a direct result of poor workmanship and because we live in a dry climate the issue went unnoticed. If I do not hear from this co. within the week, I am going to pursue legal action to mend the damage or revoke their business license. read more

They said they were done and started demanding payment. When they thought we weren't home they got on our roof without asking, no appointment made, and just began doing work. This is how we found out they failed their inspection with the City and didn't disclose it to us. They never rescheduled another inspection with the City saying it would take 60-90 days and that once again they needed to be paid. They left us out to dry with a permit that was on its way to expiring and a failed inspection. We were left to figure it out on our own. We scheduled a city inspection (took 1 day not 90) and cleaned up their mess. They harassed us incessantly yet were too lazy to finish their work. Also gutters required another company to rehang because they took no time to slope them correctly. Nails left all over the yard. Look elsewhere for a roofing company. read more

Can't retract my last review enough. Long story short: they sent a guy to my house who no longer worked for them, and my skylight still leaks. When I called them to try to schedule another appointment, they told me he doesn't work for them and any work done was between him and me. Wow. read more

After posting my previous review expressing my displeasure with Bear Brothers Roofing, I received a call from Jullian one of the owners. Within 24 hours, both Jullian and Lenny, were at my residence to examine and thoroughly investigate my concerns. Both demonstrated a very professional attitude and a real sense of urgency to fix any and all of the issues I had previously identified. The very next day, a crew arrived at my house and addressed all of the issues without question! I was so impressed with the response I received, that I have now gone from not recommending this company, to wanting to recommend them to people in the future. With a recent change in the ownership of the company, the new owners are obviously truly concerned with how their companies performance is perceived. Thank you for giving back my piece of mind. I would not hesitate to have Bear Brothers Roofing take care of my roofing needs in the future! read more
