HIGHLY RECOMMENDING: GOLDEN SKY ROOFING…read more Being a homeowner, you have to deal with a lot of home maintenance and repairs. But dealing with natural calamity related damage i.e. Hail Damage related repairs can be tough and mind boggling for any homeowner, especially if they don't know what to deal with. In August 2021 our home was affected by a hailstorm and our roof was heavily damaged. We had the opportunity to talk to quite a few Roofing companies and we ended up going with Golden Sky Roofing Company. The reason behind this is because the owner of the company, Rob Clement, was very thorough in explaining every single step. Didn't try to over-sell me anything, explained every single material and things that needed to be replaced very well. Well you might ask what's the difference, all the roofers would tell you the same thing. Well there are couple of things that stood out when I spoke to him and those are: 1. By the time my insurance approved everything, it was the middle of the winter! And Rob said that it's better to wait until the weather is warmer because then the shingles would stick to the roof well and would cure way better. So we waited and got our roof replaced in Spring. Also I've seen in my neighborhood, a couple of the houses replaced their roofing in the middle of the cold winter and as a result when there was a windstorm those roofs lost the shingle whereas these shingles are rated to survive 100+ miles per hour windstorms. 2. Constant communication throughout the whole process. 3. This part is my favorite, Level of Customer Service, when his crew were installing my roof, Rob made sure to go and talk to both of my neighbors and ensure proper cleanup was done on my neighbors property if there was any debris on their property. All the Roofers would clean up the neighbors' property but it's the attention to detail and making sure my neighbors were not unhappy really impressed me. So I would highly recommend Golden Sky Roofing to anyone who is looking to get their roof fixed. And also I was referred to this Company by my insurance agent and I'm thankful that I asked my insurance agent. It's been a great experience working with Rob and his team. I am rating Golden Sky Roofing as 10 on 10 and 5 star. Here is their details: Rob Clement Owner, Golden Sky Roofing 720.883.6100 https://www.goldenskyroofing.com/

There were no structural issues with the roof and it is in excellent condition to my knowledge. The roof will likely be structurally sound for another 50 years. The Golden Sky Roofing inspector apparently noticed some cracked tiles, likely from someone walking on the roof, that do not impact the structural integrity of the roof. I believe it only impacts the cosmetics of the roof and there are spare tiles for such minor repairs. Golden Sky Roofing said the price estimate is $167,650.00...yes, you read that right, $167,650.00 because of some cosmetic cracks on the roof tiles. I have attached the estimate. Golden Sky Roofing even wants to replace the gutter system which is in excellent condition. Why would a roofing inspector provide such an outrageous price quote? You decide the answer, I think I know and will never have this roofing company anywhere close to my house.

I received a quick call back from Tom at Jam Roofing...I explained that we had decided to contact our insurance company to see if they would cover a claim. Tom asked to stop by and take a look, regardless of whether we were going to pursue a full blown roof job - he was willing to take some photos and give us his opinion. As 2 other roofers quoted a fee to look at our roof, I appreciated Toms "good customer service" approach. It was Toms professional opinion that the roof was badly damaged. Fast forward to our insurance inspector - our insurance company responded that hail damage was minimal and sent us a check for $1900 to cover some cosmetic damage. I am not very familiar with the type of spray roof on our home, but it did not take a rocket scientist to see that it was damaged (and to see the leaks in our ceiling). After a discussion with Tom, he suggested that I ask for a re-inspection with an adjuster who is specifically familiar with this type of roof - and he would arrange to meet the adjuster at our home. About 4 days later, our insurance company contacted us with the news that they would total our roof and provide a very fair settlement payment. 48 hours after that I had money in hand and contacted Tom to let him know that he earned our business. We signed a contract to upgrade from our current Elastomeric spray roof to a more durable rubber roof. At the same time we chose to install an additional evaporative cooler on the roof, and Tom provided a reference for a heating/cooling company that he's coordinated work with in the past (will post about these great folks in another review). We paid a % of the total up front for material cost and in about 2 weeks we were contacted to set a start date. At the exact time I was told, up pulls a roll-off dumpster, and shortly after a bunch of trucks with material and our work crew. Over the course of the tear-off and installation, the crew worked diligently, professionally and respected our home - leaving the job site clean and clear of any debris. Weather created some small delays in completion, but as soon as the sun was shining again, the crew was on the job. Throughout the process, Tom would check in with us and review the work. He also personally completed the final bits of fit and finish. So, here is where the rubber (roof) meets the road...this was a big, expensive job and I am so satisfied with the service, communication and quality that I want to shout it from the rooftop (pun intended). Seriously, how often have you dealt with folks that call you back quickly (every time), do exactly what they say and do it in the exact time they promise to do it? That is Jam Roofing. The quality of the work, details, fit and finish are evident - we got a super high quality roof that I am confident will provide many years of protection and comfort...and we got the help we needed in facilitating an insurance claim that was favorable. Highly, highly recommended - if you need a roof repair, new roof or anything roof related - look no further. Call Jam Roofing and ask for Tom. You can thank me later!

I had a great experience working with Heartland Construction Services LLC (also known as Rex…read moreRoofing & Restoration, LLC). They were able to get the job done quickly and efficiently, and they were very customer service oriented. I contacted Joe from Heartland in January of 2022 for the first time. He appeared to be very transparent, knowledgeable, and honest. The company also had the right documentation, reviews, and insurance coverage required to finish the job. I feel like they explained the process extremely well from start to finish. They were also very familiar with the process of working with insurance. The company had a few hiccups with the project, but they handled them graciously and with a strong sense of urgency. For example, there was a delay in getting started because they needed to wait for the insurance company to approve the claim. However, once they got started, they were able to complete the roof installation in a day and they got me on the schedule in only a week's time (despite the overall delays in the industry). In other words, another company may have taken a month to get the project scheduled and materials ordered. They had also got some green skid marks on the driveway from moving the OSB boards, but were out in no time to power wash and scrub the driveway clean. Don was out there on his hands and knees. To me, that is a whole new level of dedication to customer service. Another company may have just snubbed its nose at my concerns and ignored them. Don, the project manager was out several times to make sure the job was done right. He even came back days later to finish painting the inside trim around the skylight. Shannon kept me informed and always was on top of addressing any concerns or needed information. Specifically, Shannon was always quick to respond and always had the answers to my questions. She was a great advocate for me as the customer and helped to keep the project on track (despite those delays because of insurance). I really appreciate all her help in getting the job done. Joe has a lot of experience with this kind of work, and he knows that insurance companies and building departments can be tough to deal with. He was really persistent in advocating for me and trying different approaches. His expertise and problem-solving skills were greatly appreciated. Heartland was also able to upgrade my roof with high-quality class 4 shingles and their team was professional, friendly, and courteous throughout the entire project. They also went above and beyond getting the payout I deserved from my insurance company. The fight dragged on for much longer than it should have, but even the lawyers didn't care to take it on. I can only be eternally grateful for going to bat for the customer and doing what's in their best interest through and through. In short, Heartland Construction is top-notch in every way--I highly recommend them!

Stay far away from them if you're not in a reasonable service area. They are an insurance claim chaser company and will step all over you to get at your payout. They sent different people out to inspect and provide quotes (gutter and soffits/fascia was the scope requested). I did not ask for a roof assessment but the gutter guy thought it might be eligible for an insurance replacement, so I said sure send the guy on out and let's see what happens. That's where it got really.... interesting. My first appointment was for a Friday. I asked for a specific time so I could manage my work schedule around the inspection. A time was agreed upon. Nobody showed up. I had to initiate contact to find out that they would not be coming that day due to the time/distance. We rescheduled and on the rescheduled date, I reached out early to confirm the time and was told the inspector would be 30min late. I readjusted my work calendar and was notified it would be an additional 15min. This turned out to very much work in my favor. The inspection was very thorough and took about 1.5hr. At the conclusion of the inspection I was told they can convince the insurance company to replace the roof. They showed me what ended up being a contract, but was not presented as such explicitly by name. I was asked to sign before they revealed the "fine print" on the back page - which involved having the insurance company sign the check over to Rex Roofing rather than me (I have USAA). This didn't sit well after discussing with several people and reviewing the fine print. I voided the contract within the 72 hour grace period so I can get a second opinion, gather additional quotes, and control my own insurance payout (if that happens). Instead of responding to me to confirm they received my email (always document in writing! With time stamps!) they forwarded it to the inspector who started texting me asking to "resolve" the situation. I explained, as I had in the email, that I would be taking my insurance payout myself and I requested a "cash price" quote from them. I was then told there was no way my insurance company would approve it without the inspector present, a number of wild assumptions and insinuations were made, and I was essentially berated by text by the salesman for exercising a legal right to void the contract. I had to block his number because he would not stop texting me to mansplain how I had no idea what I was doing as a homeowner and he was the only person who could convince my insurance adjuster to cover the roof. Turns out he was right - they talked me into opening a claim, the adjuster said the roof is perfectly fine and they would replace only one portion of one downspout that had hail damage. I can't tell you how the "value" of this company compares to others because they said they would do the work "for a price agreed upon with the insurance company" without providing a scope of work or any numbers of any kind in writing - so I guess they're not really interested in much besides doing the job for as much as they can squeeze out of the insurance company. I might not have made a USAA claim myself but everyone else in my family has.
