I contacted Nate in a panic because we had a significant leak in our workshop at the back of the house. Nate came out to the rescue on the same day. Not only did he promptly give me a quote, but he also has comprehensive knowledge regarding the local codes and was able to get my entire roof replaced rather than just 3/4 of it. Nate's team worked really hard and had my roof, including the midway inspection, completed in one day. They came back a couple of days later and replaced my gutters. We are pleased with the work and would choose them again for any exterior needs. Nate is professional with an easygoing nature and fun to work with. I never felt like I was being "sold" or pressured, which is a huge turn off for me. He came by the house numerous times to make sure I was happy and now we have a new roof and gutters. Inspections all passed and we are protected once again from Colorado's elements.

Long story short, after 8 weeks of repeated delays, no shows, installation errors, excuses of employee shortages and material shortages, face to face meetings, text messages, and emails, the Site Manager (his uncle), announced the job was done. We met with Nate the following business day, walked through the errors with the siding and gutter work, the shoddy window installation and incomplete finish work. Nate agreed, thanked us for our patience and let us know that he would have a new team come to fix and complete the work. Nate/Pinnacle never returned. We attempted to communicate at the business address he advertises on 14th Ave, Lakewood, and the business is not there. After 16 weeks of waiting, we had to hire another company to uninstall then re-install the windows, and complete the project. We would NEVER recommend Nate Ellis or Pinnacle Home Exteriors for ANY JOB. This has been a homeowners nightmare! When I filed a claim, Adept was on site with the claims rep and took careful note of what was said, and pointed out damaged areas. Adept offered upgraded shingles for replacement at no extra cost. The roofers were quick and efficient, and to my astonishment after they left I found NO roofing debris, no damage to my gardens surrounding my home, and search as I might I only found 4 roofing nails: one stuck in a deep crack in concrete, the other three well under planter pot pans where you had to move the large pots to see them. I found that to be remarkable, the last time I had a roof replaced I had debris, but worse I was finding roofing nails everywhere. Not so with Adept. They left my yard, which is full of planters and raised gardens, as they found it. The painters who came to paint the damaged sides of my home were just as efficient and neat. The paint and trim look great. I will have them back to paint the rest of the home, when needed. An unexpected plus: Adept worked with my insurance carrier and because they had paid attention to the original estimate, and followed closely what was being covered, they got three additional payments from the carrier after the carrier tried to back out of some original commitments in their original estimate. I didn't have to do a thing. Adept worked with my insurance carrier to be SURE I got all of the benefits my policy offered. This took time and effort at a point when all roofing companies in this area are very busy because of that hail storm. Adept could have taken the quick bucks and walked away, but they instead went the extra mile. They were very easy to communicate with, and kept me updated. Their representatives were knowledgeable, and polite, and respectful of my time. I only wish every vendor I have contracted with for work on my home were as honest, efficient, and cost effective as Adept. Home ownership would be such a joy were that the case. If you need any service they provide, I personally recommend them. Neighbors who also contracted with them for their roof are also saying they are very happy with the results.

I had a great experience working with Heartland Construction Services LLC (also known as Rex…read moreRoofing & Restoration, LLC). They were able to get the job done quickly and efficiently, and they were very customer service oriented. I contacted Joe from Heartland in January of 2022 for the first time. He appeared to be very transparent, knowledgeable, and honest. The company also had the right documentation, reviews, and insurance coverage required to finish the job. I feel like they explained the process extremely well from start to finish. They were also very familiar with the process of working with insurance. The company had a few hiccups with the project, but they handled them graciously and with a strong sense of urgency. For example, there was a delay in getting started because they needed to wait for the insurance company to approve the claim. However, once they got started, they were able to complete the roof installation in a day and they got me on the schedule in only a week's time (despite the overall delays in the industry). In other words, another company may have taken a month to get the project scheduled and materials ordered. They had also got some green skid marks on the driveway from moving the OSB boards, but were out in no time to power wash and scrub the driveway clean. Don was out there on his hands and knees. To me, that is a whole new level of dedication to customer service. Another company may have just snubbed its nose at my concerns and ignored them. Don, the project manager was out several times to make sure the job was done right. He even came back days later to finish painting the inside trim around the skylight. Shannon kept me informed and always was on top of addressing any concerns or needed information. Specifically, Shannon was always quick to respond and always had the answers to my questions. She was a great advocate for me as the customer and helped to keep the project on track (despite those delays because of insurance). I really appreciate all her help in getting the job done. Joe has a lot of experience with this kind of work, and he knows that insurance companies and building departments can be tough to deal with. He was really persistent in advocating for me and trying different approaches. His expertise and problem-solving skills were greatly appreciated. Heartland was also able to upgrade my roof with high-quality class 4 shingles and their team was professional, friendly, and courteous throughout the entire project. They also went above and beyond getting the payout I deserved from my insurance company. The fight dragged on for much longer than it should have, but even the lawyers didn't care to take it on. I can only be eternally grateful for going to bat for the customer and doing what's in their best interest through and through. In short, Heartland Construction is top-notch in every way--I highly recommend them!

Stay far away from them if you're not in a reasonable service area. They are an insurance claim chaser company and will step all over you to get at your payout. They sent different people out to inspect and provide quotes (gutter and soffits/fascia was the scope requested). I did not ask for a roof assessment but the gutter guy thought it might be eligible for an insurance replacement, so I said sure send the guy on out and let's see what happens. That's where it got really.... interesting. My first appointment was for a Friday. I asked for a specific time so I could manage my work schedule around the inspection. A time was agreed upon. Nobody showed up. I had to initiate contact to find out that they would not be coming that day due to the time/distance. We rescheduled and on the rescheduled date, I reached out early to confirm the time and was told the inspector would be 30min late. I readjusted my work calendar and was notified it would be an additional 15min. This turned out to very much work in my favor. The inspection was very thorough and took about 1.5hr. At the conclusion of the inspection I was told they can convince the insurance company to replace the roof. They showed me what ended up being a contract, but was not presented as such explicitly by name. I was asked to sign before they revealed the "fine print" on the back page - which involved having the insurance company sign the check over to Rex Roofing rather than me (I have USAA). This didn't sit well after discussing with several people and reviewing the fine print. I voided the contract within the 72 hour grace period so I can get a second opinion, gather additional quotes, and control my own insurance payout (if that happens). Instead of responding to me to confirm they received my email (always document in writing! With time stamps!) they forwarded it to the inspector who started texting me asking to "resolve" the situation. I explained, as I had in the email, that I would be taking my insurance payout myself and I requested a "cash price" quote from them. I was then told there was no way my insurance company would approve it without the inspector present, a number of wild assumptions and insinuations were made, and I was essentially berated by text by the salesman for exercising a legal right to void the contract. I had to block his number because he would not stop texting me to mansplain how I had no idea what I was doing as a homeowner and he was the only person who could convince my insurance adjuster to cover the roof. Turns out he was right - they talked me into opening a claim, the adjuster said the roof is perfectly fine and they would replace only one portion of one downspout that had hail damage. I can't tell you how the "value" of this company compares to others because they said they would do the work "for a price agreed upon with the insurance company" without providing a scope of work or any numbers of any kind in writing - so I guess they're not really interested in much besides doing the job for as much as they can squeeze out of the insurance company. I might not have made a USAA claim myself but everyone else in my family has.
