FANTASTIC SERVICE and incredible donuts. The bread is made in house, very pillowy yet substantial. The prices are extremely affordable and the portions great. I got the coconut shrimp sandwich which was crispy but i believe very overshadowed by the bread itself. It tasted mostly of vinegar and perhaps could've benefited from more shrimp or a balance of ingredients. The donuts were phenomenal! Chewy, soft, squishy, and full of flavor from the dough. I very much recommend them!

Great friendly staff and service. French fries: Hand cut. A little over done but very good. Fried pickles: fresh and very good with nice ranch dipping sauce. Shrimp po boy: fresh baked bread with nice crunch. All flavors worked well. Could have used more shrimp. Overall solid. Buffalo chicken: fresh baked bread. Sauce is a good classic Buffalo but shredded chicken lacking flavor and a little dry. Average. Tried multiple house made sauces and they were all excellent. Prices reasonable and staff is great which pushed my review to 4 stars. Sandwiches can get better. Will return.

The food and their limeades are great and cheap! Friendly workers and fast service. Always wanted to come by and it's definitely worth it

We arrived around 2-3pm in the afternoon on a weekday and the place was empty. We ordered a medium sub each, and panda wings ( eggplant). The wings were so good, and we thought very fair portion for the price - great tang on the Buffalo sauce and the eggplant was fried well and not overly greasy. The sandwiches were both great . We're both a bit of bread / sandwich snobs being from Philly and their house baked rolls met pit standards :) we were pretty full after eating half of our medium sub, and brought the other half home for dinner. We would have been roll me home STUFFED if we finished the medium Great sandwich shop, I would recommend based on our one visit !

My sister and I were headed to a show across the street and wanted a bite to eat before the show. The box office suggested Gorgers to get a quick bite. It's a small spot I figured go grab a sub thinking usual deli food but this place was not that. They had chicken, pork or beef subs several different ones to choose as well as sides. The staff was only 2 people. The one person was getting things together the other was waiting on people, packaging and also preparing food. They were very busy maybe could have used one or two more people any way. They ran out of bread after my order so my sister had hers put over fries. You can get everything prepared as a sandwich or a bowl which is a great option. I ordered the Stallone which was steak cheese lettuce and balsamic. I ordered double fried French fries and some donuts that were basically fried dough in cinnamon sugar. My sister ordered cheese steak over fries. She mentioned the cheese sauce was cold and not much steak. My sandwich had a good amount of steak would have liked a little more but flavor was great, bread was very good fries were crispy and delicious. Donuts were about what you'd expect. All in all it was pretty good. I'd try it again on a not so busy night.

One of my favorite places in Ithaca! They have such a vast variety of subs which are stuffed with fresh ingredients too. My favorites are their Buffalo Chicken and Bahn Mi subs. The Buffalo Chicken is well seasoned, moist, and tender. It's then loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions that add a series of textures and freshness. The Red Hot sauce and Blue Cheese accompany each other so well to provide that perfect heat and tanginess. Their Bahn Mi sub is definitely not your traditional báhn mì, but a really good sandwich nonetheless. The bread was perfectly warm with a crispy exterior and chewy and soft interior. The pulled pork is also tender and juicy, and I love the additions of pickled carrots and cilantro to cut the fattiness and grease of the pork. The Mushroom and Swiss sub was less flavorful in my opinion, and the shredded grilled steak was dry and didn't seem marinated. The addition of the swiss wasn't very homogenized with the steak either. The Chicken Bacon Ranch was okay, but felt very very heavy afterwards. The Po'Boy was also decent. Overall, this is a great place for subs, and I highly recommend trying it out! They also have vegetarian options that are also good.

When in Rome...or this case Ithaca. Wow what a sandwich! The bread is baked fresh in house all while orders are being taken and food is being prepared. They seemed short staffed on this Saturday lunch hour and had a jammed order printer. Despite the issues and a line out the door they were fast and kind. The sandwiches were yum. We got a BBQ chicken and a chicken bacon ranch. There are lots of choices including vegetarian. Do NOT forget the double fried fries; amazing. Their house coconut lime aid was delicious according to my partner. This place is legit and great post hike at Buttermilk.

This turned out to be a really fun place. We're just walking through downtown Ithaca literally just trying to see what we can find to eat. We see this place from the outside and go in and have a look! It's a bit tight inside and they are thoroughly working hard behind the counter. But we were helped by a friendly lady who let us thoroughly grill her about the menu. I settled on the bonh mi Vietnamese sandwich. Was so good! Just full of flavor and ingredients and definitely worth the price. The baguette was so fresh and I thoroughly remember just how soft and tasteful it was. One of the best I've ever had! We sat outside and just thoroughly enjoyed the sights. Definitely will try this place again next time I return to Ithaca!

    Buffalo shrimp poppers

So delicious! Everything was perfect, well worth going out of your way to try it. Buffalo shrimp poppers were amazing texture and flavor without being too spicy. The subs had everything you'd want--complementary textures, delicious soft bread, unique flavors and solid portions. Great vegetarian options by offering seitan in any sub, which was well-cooked. Service was friendly and quick.

Absolutely amazing banh mi. Maybe best I ever had. Every part of it was delicious. The pork, the cilantro, pickled veggies, bread and sauce. Top tier fries. Rap and hip hop playing in the restaurant. 10/10

Sandwiches are very tasty, made fresh. My only gripe is that the filling to bread ratio could be better. Especially the shrimp po'boy.

The menu itself is short and focused, while the interior of the restaurant features wallpaper with anthropomorphic animals, and large windows. I opted for the Burger, and my wife the Salmon. We also ordered the grilled dates and collard greens. I also decided on a Ginger Beer. They serve Goslings (since 1806), with all 47 grams of sugar, over ice and a lime. Highly recommended on the ginger beer flavor scale. The Burger came with a massive amount of their duck-fat fried fries, certainly more potato than burger. I also liked the burger with the added bacon. But my wife's Salmon was even tastier. It featured a nice hunk of fish, skin-on, crispy, and not some half-or-quarter fillet that other places might serve. Plus, it comes over a bed of green peas and canneli beans and green asparagus sauce on the bottom, and a small bed of frisée on top. The combination with the lemon cream leads to very satisfying bites. The grilled dates wrapped in bacon, with goat cheese, Marcona almonds, and honey were presented as a drumstick. The collard greens were nice, though on the saltier side. Seating here can be had inside or out. The bathrooms are located in the hallway next to the restaurant.

"Creative and whimsical" pizzas…read more Eta Pie in Ithaca NY was recommended by friends for some of their fun recipes, so we got several to-go for our contribution to a little gathering. We started off easy, with a Napoli red-sauce cheese pizza. It's made with the best San Marzano tomatoes and fresh basil, generous fresh-tasting sliced mozzarella, and a tasty tangy an Italian cheese blend. The red sauce was a traditional flavorful slightly sweet, slightly garlicky tomato sauce. All on a tasty thick-edged bready crispy-crusted soft-inside crust. It was a delightfully better-than-it-has-to-be cheese pizza. We thought the Palo Alto BBQ chicken pizza would suit us: richly flavored sweet lightly smokey BBQ sauce, mozzarella & smoked gouda, grilled chicken, and red onions. It was basically a flatbread. It tasted good, but to quote a guest, "it wasn't pizza" :-). Maybe it was the gouda that pushed it to the fancier edge. We struck out on our own with an olive and sausage red-sauce pizza. This was our favorite, due to the sweet bright fennel, garlic, black-pepper sausage, which surely tasted freshly home-made. Eta Pie has creative recipes and ingredients. Cheeses can incluse Gorgonzola, provalone, feta, paneer, Swiss, and ricotta. Sauces and drizzles include blue cheese, ranch, garlic butter, honey, pineapple-habanero, crema, mornay, pesto, herbed crème fraiche, masala, Korean BBQ, and a spicy red-sauce. Toppings include steak, carnitas, Black Forest ham, fried chicken, shrimp, clams, scallops, smoked salmon, bacon, bulgogi, caramelized onions, vidalia onions, jalapeños, broccoli, fried eggplant, spinach, artichoke hearts, kimchee, and even peaches! Meet the Eta Pie philosophy: creative culinary seriousness. Choose thoughtfully, and you will find excellence on a crust :-)
