I'm only giving four stars because I never give five (even though Al deserves it) because most people ignore 5-star reviews... Plus you can ignore the low-rated reviews here as they refer to the previous ownership. But I was referred to Al in 2019 by a mechanic friend who just didn't have the time/equipment to help me at the time. Since then, Al's done work on all four of our cars (engine, cooling system, suspension, brakes, electrical...) to great satisfaction and at a fraction of the cost of a bigger shop or dealer. He only does the work that's necessary, and doesn't try to sell you on a bunch of maintenance stuff you don't need! About a month ago I purchased a 2017 Prius Prime. Last week "maintenance required immediately, visit dealer" sign popped up on my dashboard. Since this incident, I had the seals fail twice in quick succession in the narrowed 9" rear end Gordon's built me, a better mechanic discovered that Gordon's had used the wrong spacers and that was pushing the seals out of place... another Gordon's mistake that cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I was referred here from a friend last year after having so many car problems come about. I won't go into much detail about that, but what I can say is that Al and Janet have been super helpful and are always honest on the work of my car. I've had everything from my brakes, tires, AC system, and suspension fixed by them. I have a 2008 Nissan Altima and now I just go in for regular oil changes after years of constant problems (some of which were mostly caused by other dishonest mechanics). Incomplete work, faulty parts, miss diagnosis problems on cars, charges for things you did not want done, does not ask for approval 1st, just does the work. If he works on car or replace parts and something happens it is never his fault. Then he thinks something else is wrong and charges you for that read more

Alberto is a great guy and he services both my cars and always take the extra step to finish the work properly. He was referred to me and on my first visit I was greeted by him telling me to "just sit down and be patient" when I asked how long the service would take. The prices are fine, much better than a dealership, but be prepared to deal with a rude owner, long wait, and general distasteful experience to save some pennies. read more

I took my car in for 2 recalls at the dealer and they gave me a list of things that needed to be done to the car, so I just take it to them and they check it out and take care of everything. Took my 54 Chevy pickup, it took four months to get it back the second time. He was supposed to rebuild my transmission it just went out, had it taken off by a better mechanic and the gears were rusted and broke chunks taken out broken parts every where. Bolts were not tight had not a drop of fluid in it. he suppsedly did work to the rear end and not a drop of fluid was found in that also. I spent over 3,000 dollars waited four months and less than 6 months my Transmission is out never going back to Gordons. read more

BEWARE!!! BEWARE! This place is the worst I have ever been to. I was charged over $1,000 to change a rear main seal, valve cover gaskets and spark plug wires...which seemed like a good deal. 2 days Later my truck still leaked oil. called Gordon. He said it would take a few days for the oil to subside. which I knew was a crock! so 1 week and 900 miles later Still leaking. Called Gordon! He got all mad .....rude as can be. told me to bring it in and he will fix it. I bring truck in and he calls me to say it was something to do with a hose from my radiator that I had replace 2 weeks prior. Charged Me another $80 to fix.. A few days later...oil still leaking.....So b4 contacting Gordon... I bring my truck to 3 other mechanics that point out the reasons they know he didn't even do any work on my truck other then change spark plug wires. they show me how the bolt on my valve covers were never touched and the washers were old and deteriorating. same with the bolts on my transmission were never touched. meaning he never changed my rear main seal. so I bring truck in... He gets all mad and is basically yelling at me as I show him these things. So he tells me to bring my truck back in the morning and he will fix it. so he ended up finally changing the valve cover gaskets and now I see the clean bolts and new washers and the oil has stopped leaking. So basically I paid $1085.00 for valve cover gaskets and new spark plugs. Also coming to find out I have 3 other friends with the same experience from Gordons Autoworks. Also a few Mechanics in the area say that place is a nightmare. They get lots of work from unhappy customers from Gordons. He really deserves minus 5 stars in my book. also read the reviews in the link below on this page "other reviews that are not currently recommended" I will be reporting to the BBB and will try to get some News coverage on him.
