Started with the lobster bisque. Was meh. There was a tiny bit of lobster at the bottom. Advertised maybe as 2 oz. Seems like a fraction of that. Consistency of tofu and flavorless. Also had a Caesar salad. Was good. Maybe heavy on mustard, if I had to guess. Entrees were a fillet with truffle fries and a ribeye with a baked potato. I didn't try the fries but they were largely uneaten by the family. My kids typically love truffle fries, but not these. Baked potato was fine if but very small for a steakhouse. Fillet was ok. Kids liked it, wifey did not. Ribeye was not good. I ate maybe 10% of it. Waiter noticed and took it off the bill before we had a conversation. Ribeye was overly fatty, which I get is the point. But wasn't marbled, was just a giant fat deposit under the cap. The chew was tough and more like a NY strip. But too grainy. I'd be shocked if that was Prime or dry aged. An amazing dinner. I dined here with 5 of my friends for a birthday dinner, and we had an amazing dinner. We ordered i think a little bit of everything. To start, the service was a 10/10. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. He also cracked a few jokes with us as well. He offered some recommendations that helped the table choose cocktails and such. We were constantly checked on by members of the staff to ensure everything was okay. The service was amazing. Now on to the food. I enjoyed the New York strip steak. It was a little overcooked for me. But it wasn't a bad steak. I also ordered the fingerlings potato's that came with Parmesan and garlic. Pretty good just needed a little more salt. The birthday girl ordered a filet, which she enjoyed along with spinach, my other friends ordered the pork chop, Mac and cheese, beef short rib which came with mashed potatoes. We also ordered a rack of lamb with a side of grilled shrimp. That side was asparagus. For appetizers we ordered the oysters. From both the east and west coast. We also ordered the jumbo lump crab cake. For drinks, i ordered a Lemon drop which was amazing!! The only thing that wasn't my favorite was the crab cake. I've just had better. Why were we seated half an hour after our reservation time? No clue! We were there to celebrate a VERY special occasion which I did mention to the host who took us to our seats as well as to the server. Was there any special gestures made? No. Not even a candle on the desserts WE paid for. Rookie mistake... and this docks them major points - a whole point to be precise. At a good restaurant, one expects the staff to make their special occasion memorable. The lack of effort made was off putting. On a regular day, it would not be the case. Anyway, coming to the food - overpriced but some of it was exceptional. The rest, rather forgettable. The highlights - - Hamachi Crudo (5/5): fresh, texturally adventurous and packed tons of flavor. - Beef Wellington (4.5/5): beautifully tender beef and the accompaniments, like the potato puree and spherical veggies were good too. The glaze or demi-glace drizzled onto the potato puree was a little bland. If it were a little sweeter or more acidic, it would have been a 5/5 dish. Other: - Sticky Toffee Pudding (4/5): exceptional cake, slightly over-sweet toffee sauce - missed the opportunity to have more depth, and the ice cream tasted great but the texture was icy... - Side of Broccolini (4/5): perfectly cooked but does this warrant the sticker shock? Supremely overpriced. - Steak (4/5): not the best we've had but not bad. Just not memorable. Our service was a little hectic too - the server misheard a few times - portioned our Beef Wellington in two when we never asked for it. Got us an extra drink when we never asked for it. Nonetheless, we ended up paying for it all... Zero accountability shown. Poor service, food is decent, ambiance is great. I stopped in for a quick, last-minute dinner with a friend on a Saturday night. I made a reservation while en route, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was clean, nicely designed, and about half full, which was a pleasant surprise for a weekend evening. There's plenty of seating and a stylish bar area--definitely a comfortable spot for a casual dinner. I ordered the scallops because I'd recently had dental work and needed something soft. They were just okay--not bad, but not especially memorable either. Our waiter was very kind and attentive, which I appreciated. One thing that really surprised me: for such a large restaurant inside a resort hotel, there's only *one* toilet stall. And it's shared with another restaurant. That felt like an odd setup, and it's something I'd definitely keep in mind for future visits. Overall, I'd come back to try something different from the menu. I'm sitting here, more than an hour after my meal ended, in absolute awe of the wonderful food I was served. Starting with the bread, wow what incredible bread. My wife really dislikes bread and she couldn't get enough of this. The food was cooked so fast I almost can't fathom how. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the Mac might be the best I've ever had. Wasn't too busy on a winter Friday night so I opted for the bar. Bartenders were busy but were very attentive to those of us having dinner. Started with complimentary bread & butter with a Caesar salad which I enjoyed, now more of a chopped salad vs the old full leaves as I had my last time here. I had much higher expectations for this experience. The Beef Wellington was served cold and clearly undercooked, while the ribeye was overcooked. Overall, the food was disappointing. Service was equally underwhelming. Our waiter had a poor attitude and was largely inattentive. I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, but it wasn't acknowledged at all. He also never checked in about our meals, which made the experience feel even more neglected. I recently stayed at Harrah's and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to try Gordon Ramsay Steak. The service was impeccable, truly perfect and I couldn't possibly ask for more in that regard. The ambiance was great -- it was upscale but with a casual, fun vibe at the same time, which isn't easy to do. Now, on to food and drink! The drinks were great -- in particular, their spin on the gin & tonic -- wow! The food was very good, I can't say that it wasn't, but it also wasn't good enough to justify the price. As a vegetarian, my options were limited but I knew that going in. Still, I expected more from the veggie-friendly options they did have. The burrata cheese salad was lackluster. It wasn't bad by any means, but it also wasn't anything to write home about. I also had the fingerling potatoes which were tasty but, again, nothing to write home about. My friend ordered the oysters and the filet mignon, both which she said were good but not the best she's ever tried. Had a great evening and dinner at Gordon Ramsay Steak! Originally had reservations at another of GR's restaurants that had to be cancelled and this honestly was sooo much better! Overall food and service were great! Thank you for making the evening special for the birthday celebration. Love the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Definitely the stencil of Gordon Ramsay - would love the see Halloween pumpkin carving of it! The high back seating chairs were very comfortable and noise level was just right. Our servers were great - thanks to Joe and Alex for taking care of us along with the hostesses out front. Reservations are a must to dine here else one can chance eating at the bar. Complimentary bread with rosemary butter - fresh baked bread was very good and nicely salted butter...yum! Cocktails - specialty cocktails to choose from or vino. Decide on wine. Malbec for this dinner. Will try other cocktails next time. Appetizer: Tuna tartare was good - could have done without the raw onions but good. Main entree: the menu has variety to choose from... decided on 1) beef wellington - perfectly cooked and very tender and 2) chilean seabass (my fave) - perfectly cooked and delicious - loved the presentation - could have done without the prawn head and perhaps veggies instead of potatoes. My husband made reservations at this establishment for an intimate Valentine dinner. The hostess at the front wasn't as welcoming as I would have expected. There was still a 25 minute wait to be seated, even with reservations. Our waiter Joe was nice but seemed too busy to provide stellar service. He did however recommend the beef Wellington which was spectacular! For drinks their lemon drop martini with a sugar rim is phenomenal but my complaint here is the whole glass was sticky . For this type of establishment I expect a bit more detail. Their oysters are fresh and tasted perfect with the cocktail sauce and vinegar. They were cleaned and ligament removed which made for a perfect mouthfeel. The porkbelly on farro 20/10! One of the best apps I ever had. Most tender pork belly seared to perfection! The halibut with lump crab was beautifully cooked and seasoned very nicely. Their lobster mac and cheese is a force to be reckoned with! Ample pieces of lobster in a most creamy al dente pasta made for a perfect accompaniment to the entrees! Awesome food! The minus one star, the service needs tayloring and I wasn't fond of the way they bring the plastic containers for you to pack your own leftovers. So decided to come here on a whim with babe since we were staying at Harrahs. We were told that there was no wait if you sit at a high table or the bar so we chose the bar. The bartender Melana was awesome she was on point with her recommendations. Our drinks were super strong so no complaints there. Our servers were all very helpful just was not appreciative of how I sink so far down in the booth being a tall human I felt miles away from table - small potatoes. It took a hair longer on bread and apps but drinks came out quickly. We ordered everything all at once so it was surprising that it didn't come out correct. Still small potatoes because they made it worth our while. Which most places won't. I ordered pork belly app - not my favorite - prob would've just gone without. The filet was perfect - ate every last bite. Extra bernaise was wild / who are we ? Royalty? Brussels were good, Mac and cheese was just ok but came out piping and stayed hot - not sure how?!
