Amazing selection of cowgirl hats

This place is a true Texas gem. It's one of the few unique small businesses that draw me to south congress during sxsw. It's such a safe place to explore all kinds of hats. It's laid back no judgement energy lets me play with hats I wouldn't normally try on. As a Cali girl the cowboy hat is a bold choice and you gotta come with a certain Miranda Lambert 'backyard swagger'. I just really appreciate feeling welcomed enough to just try stuff on. Also the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and so passionate about the craft and craftsmanship of millinery. Love it!

This Goorin is a great hat shop to visit in person! My husband and I were visiting, and I wanted to treat him to a couple of hats for his birthday. They made us feel at home and Terence helped us personalize our hats as well as the experience. Terence taught us about the style of hat, perks of purchasing from Goorin, and ensured we had what we needed.

This was my second visit to the store but first purchase. It was packed as they were having a SXSW event but the staff, once free, was super courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. One of the hats I wanted wasn't available in my size but it almost fit - they were able to stretch it. Another was just slightly too big and they were able to use some foam inserts to let me leave the store with the hat same day. Enjoyed the experience, love the product, and will definitely be back for future purchases.

My AWESOME hat from Goorin Bros! Love it!!! :)

I visited Austin, Texas this past weekend and as I was exploring this beautiful city I came across this AMAZING Hat Store. Man, what an amazing find this was for me...I was in Heaven! I wish that y'all were in Dallas so that I can shop more often...I guess that I'll just settle for when I visit Austin again. Hmmm, I guess this Hat Store has become my new excuse to make more frequent visits. Let's see if my wife, and kids go for it! I'm pretty sure that they will! ;) LOL!!! Note: I loved their customer service, and amazing selections of hats. Note: As I explored Austin, I received multiple compliments throughout the restaurants, and shops that I had visited. That I had no choice but share a pic of my beautiful wife, and myself wearing this AWESOME hat from Goorin Bros. I love my hat!!!

I didn't know I needed a hat until I went into the store on a whim last night. While I somehow managed to talk myself out of the one I fell in love with then, I was back there first thing this morning to buy it. Employees on both visits were extremely cordial and helpful, and today, the staffer even steamed out a too-small hat just a smidge to see if we could get it to fit (it did!). I'll be wearing my new beauty a lot in the coming warm weather, and now that I know where all their stores are, I'll be stopping by whenever I'm in town (wherever that may be ...).

Thank you Goorin Bros. for fixing my damaged Rag & Bone hat!

THANK YOU Goorin Bros! I ordered an expensive hat online from a different store (Rag & Bone) that arrived damaged. The store was sold out of my size, so I could only return it for a refund, not a beautiful wool felt fedora. I was so upset. I called Goorin Bros and spoke to Julia, who was immediately sympathetic to my plight. She assured me that they would take a look at my hat and either steam and reshape it for free, or recommend an excellent milliner who could re-block my hat. I came into the store that afternoon, was helped by another wonderful pair of salespeople, and tried on some other gorgeous hats while they steamed and reshaped my hat (for free! even though I didn't buy it there!). On top of that, they sent me home with a plastic hat form to store my hat on to hold its shape, and sprayed it with a coat of their rain and stain repellent. They told me if I ever needed the hat brushed or re-steamed to come back and they'd do it for free again. Such incredible service! They turned a sad, crumpled hat, back into a beautiful hat, for FREE! They have certainly earned my future business. They next time I need a hat I am definitely coming back to Goorin Bros. They have a wonderful selection, and I already have my eye on one of their other pieces. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Alright, so it took me about six years to return to this place because I had some major PTSD from…read morean employee (who still happens to work here unfortunately). However, this time was a lot different and I was able to find the perfect gifts for my friend's birthday as well as fun items for myself. It seems like the selection has remained the same although Atown is keeping up with current and modern trends. For example, there were a lot of ICE based items tucked away as well as current celebrity crushes who are on everybody's minds. The coolest thing I found was a James Talarico candle but other than that, a lot of the items that were for sale were pretty kitschy and I believe they are the same wholesale items I have seen before. I must shoutout the incredibly helpful service from Audrey who went above and beyond to help me find items for my friend's birthday. She was super sweet, and I would've been wandering around the store aimlessly if it wasn't for her direction. Additionally, she even came up with combination gift ideas which was pretty sick. Atown is lucky to have her! I think my PTSD is no longer because of her assistance. Great store, unfortunately high prices. However, no one does it like Atown!

There are 3 or 4 separate areas you can visit and they have things from locally made earrings and art to coasters, desk plates, rubber ducks of famous people, religious candles with random famous people, funny socks, clothes, and so much more. The staff is friendly and outgoing, they even had a woman at the door greeting you and offering you a hand basket if you wanted or needed one. There were 3 or 4 cashiers and at least one lady walking around greeting you and seeing if they could help. It is pricier then your chain store but the products are cooler, unique, and many times locally made. Things you can't get at other stores or amazon. Like so many places, it's one downside is parking. It is a small lot, if you part in front you basically have to back in to spot blocking traffic or back out into traffic. There is a small side lot that is better but you basically have to 3 point turn out of that spot. Always willing to pay a bit more to support local. We don't get out of our area/comfort zone much but we do love this place. #Supportlocal

The dresses are all handmade and artisanal or whatever, but this five-star review is for the amenities. First of all, the panhandlers who love to harass and congregate outside the CVS haven't followed me into the store here, so the hobo shielding is strong with this one. The seating arrangement is also exquisite--the perfect iPhone Throne for, let's face it, probably dudes like me who wouldn't have come here on their own accord. Since it's a single-seater (with an ottoman!), the capacity is far more limited than the long bench at Outdoor Voices, so if you and I end up here at the same time, we'll need to fight for it. No face shots, please, and leave my Yelpin' hand be.

The dresses mostly run over $100 and aren't exactly my style. The prints are mostly fun and colorful and almost 60s-70s ish. I found their sterling silver jewelry and earrings to be more interesting. They had lots of unique flower shaped earrings that ranged around $32-44. They also sell kids clothes and gifts. The interior was a little dark. The dresses were mostly made of stretchy or comfy fabric. The dresses are more casual in nature (wrap dresses, summer dresses). They also sold bathing suits for around $80. I don't know if the bathing suits are made in-house.
