I had taken my car in for brake replacements and it was the biggest headache ever. Not dealing with Goodyear but the "replacement". When I first got my car back they had not tightened on of the bolts in the struts and I got underneath my car when I got home and tighten myself. I took it back in and they went through and made sure all the bolts were tight. But once again I left and I heard the worst banging ever whenever I hit a bump. Turns out i was missing a guide bold in my back right caliper. It was just bouncing up and down. I do not recommend taking the vehicle you have spent your hard worked money on to have it messed up by a "professional". Re: I'm not looking to come back in and have my car looked at again. I went in after my initial break appointment to have it checked over again and had another problem with the caliper and I had fixed it myself. My cars been totally fine ever since but it's the fact that I had to come back in anyways to resolve the issues only to have another problem pop up which shouldn't of happened. read more

I was borrowing a family member's car so I could stay in Madison to finish my semester, so I didn't know much about the car I was using. I went in for an oil change after it had broken down on me, during an already stressful time for everyone, and did not receive good customer service. The employees made me feel incompetent for not being knowledgeable about the car, and made a point to aggressively walk me out to the car to point out the details. As someone who already feels uncomfortable going to auto repair shops, I don't go out of my way to make it inconvenient for employees to successfully do their job. I felt like I had to keep asking them for details regarding my appointment and what was going on as they weren't willingly filling me in. In general, I didn't appreciate the customer service and will be taking my business elsewhere if I have more car issues in Madison. read more

If I can get this place a zero or no stars I would. First off I will advise you to not take your car to the Goodyear shop on East Washington. I paid for my vehicle to get fixed $1,200 Plus they did not fix my vehicle right. After I took my vehicle back to them to get it looked at again they stated that they did not fix everything on my vehicle that they told me was wrong with it now it's additional $1,000 for it to get fixed. honest and fair operation. I had just been to another service shop, who didn't even remove the wheels from my car, but gave me an estimate of $500 for front brakes. Wanting a 2nd opinion, I stopped in for a free brake inspection at Goodyear at 3773 E. Washington (just east of Stoughton Rd). Technician Larry showed me the thickness of all my brake shoes, which were all still good. Larry asked why I was concerned, and I told him it had just been a long time since the brakes were checked, so I thought it was time. Larry told me to wait until I hear the sound that means the shoes have worn out. Supervisor Phil mentioned I had a headlight bulb out, (which I was aware of), so I had them take care of that for a small charge. Manager Kevin told me they match other estimates, and I showed him an oil change receipt that I had just done, and he said he would match that next time I need an oil change. I'm glad to have found a place I can trust for my older car's maintenance needs. read more

Had an alignment done on my car, the staff was not very friendly or helpful at all. I asked for a retorque as well, which I don't think it was done, no notation on paperwork and it drives the same as before. The loudmouth manager alpha male guy was gossiping to a new guy about his personal and sex life at the counter while I was waiting for my car to be finished up, which I found to be incredibly rude! Then he switched my paperwork off to the other guy and helped another customer after my car was done, while I was at the counter WTF? People here gossip and have no customer service skills whatsoever! I will NOT be back at this location on 3773 East Wash ever again after this awful customer service experience! We have gotten a number of services here, including a complete break system rebuild on a crummy 2001 Ford Taurus. They ended up giving us a discount when they found additional things wrong with the car, and we never had problems with it after. They definitely try to upsell from time to time but I have never found it to be aggressive. Wait times can be long depending on the work being done, but they're good about letting you leave and calling you to get the car when it's done. This Goodyear is our go-to for any and all services on our car. read more

Don't even try here, incredibly unhelpful. Our A/C went out in the middle of a road trip and there was no attempt to help. Had open bays as well, all we needed was a 5 minute simple A/C Recharge. The older guy working the counter clearly didn't care. Tires Plus down the street was much more helpful. read more

Terrible service. I told them twice, I wanted my front tire moved to the rear because it was wearing faster than the rear tires. I got the other front tire replaced. They called two hours later saying they were done. He said they left the most worn tire up front with the new one. I said I wanted it moved to the rear. He said I'll call you back when we are done. Very bad experience! We took our Suburban to Goodyear because they had replaced our fuel pump and it was having issues again. After initially being told it WAS the pump and it would be covered under the warranty, they came back the next day saying it was a different part that was NOT covered, of course. Then instead of fixing it, they decided they didn't have a "qualified " mechanic available to work on it. This was after another two days had passed. Even though they couldn't fix it they did put in a couple of parts that they charged us for. On top of that charge we had to rent a car for five days while they jerked us around. read more

I got a flat tire (puncture) and took my car in to see whether the tire could be repaired, or if I would need to get new tires. My car is pretty new (less than 8,000) miles, so when they determined that the couldn't repair the tire following a free inspection, they recommended that I go to the dealer to get one new matching tire. Really appreciated the honesty and the fact that they didn't just try to sell me 4 new tires. read more

I meant to write this a few months ago. I had scheduled and appointment to have 4 new tires installed and mentioned that I needed to leave at a certain time due to another engagement. The staff was efficient, friendly and made sure my 4 new tires were on safely. I had requested to keep the old tires and they made sure to bag them and put them in my car. Thanks to everyone that helped me that day. I made it to my appointment on time and I'm happy to have my new tires for the winter to come. I'll be back! read more

On Wednesday I stopped by and discussed a set of tires fro my Silverado. Decided to purchase and set up and appointment for 7:00 Thursday morning. Arrived at 7:00 and they started removing tires, only to find out the correct tires had not yet arrived. At about 8:15 they did arrive, and got me out by 9:00. The manager acknowledged the tech screwed up by not checking to see if he had the right tires. Strike one. When I got Thursday night, I looked at my TPMS tire pressures - 28, 32, 34, and 35. Should have all been 35. The tech screwed up, no attention to detail. Strike two. When I tried to correct the situation, I put air in the left front fire and it showed up on the TPMS as being the right rear. The tech had not put the wheels back in the same location and had not reprogrammed the TPMS system to account for the new position. Strike three. Called to inform them Friday and talked to another manager who said I would have to pay for TPMS reprogramming. When I pointed out I just spent $1100, he backed off. Strike four. Needless to say, I am never ever going back. Run, do not walk, away from this location. They have a good tire product, but demonstrated ignorance of customer satisfaction and a total lack of management skills multiple times. I will attempt to point this out to Goodyear corporate. read more

!!! BEWARE !!! CHEATERS !!! LOOTERS !!! THIEFS !!! I went for repairing flat tire due to small leakage near rim. These b@stards put nail in my tire from side & told me that I need new tire. I had inspected my tire thoroughly before going & there was no nail. In fact the leakage was so low that I drove good 60 miles after the leakage till the tire went completely flat. I've been going to this location for estimates and oil changes because it was convenient being close to MATC but today was the last straw. I made an appointment to get my breaks fixed for 8am but my battery ended up dying the day I was heading in. I showed up at 8:30 and the manager pushed my appointment, which was okay, I understood the business but I'd still made an appointment. So at noon he finally calls me with an estimate that ends up being around $640. I thank him and decide to just get the battery and the total ended up being $200. He then kept my vehicle till 4pm to just replace my battery. So I ended up waiting 7 HOURS for a process that takes about 10 minutes to do. I was able to find better prices at a local place in Sun Prairie. The manager was also very rude and would walk away mid sentence and basically made me feel like a chore for waiting 7 hours to pay $200. They were sneaky on how they talked/scared our daughter into a life time tire rotation and alignment by saying; "your wheels are turning inward, and you Need to get this done it's very dangerous you cannot drive your car like this and "oh we'll do the alignment while you decide if you want to pay for a 1 year or 3 year/lifetime package." I had my vehicle towed in there on 5-25-18. They got the vehicle fixed fast I'll give them that, but at the time I gave them the keys to work on my truck I expressed to them I didn't want the same part manufactured by the same company of the part that failed. When I picked up the vehicle I asked them who manufactured the part they installed. He wasn't sure but he assured me they only use high quality parts. Come to find out after looking into it they installed the exact same part # made by the same manufacturer sold by NAPA. This is an harmonic balancer which has a history of premature failure. They knew what they were doing and they were being deceptive about it. I am not happy at all with these people, and I am filing a formal complaint against Goodyear with consumer protection and contacting the Better Business Bureau. Not only did they do this but they over charged me too. When I bought the original part that failed which brought me into Goodyear in the first place I paid $80. Goodyear charged me $204.35 for the same crappy part which they knew I said I didn't want. read more
