WOW! I'm still in shock. Went to 3 mechanics in 3 different repair shops in one day. NEW battery wouldn't start car, had to jump every time. Battery seller "new battery is great, not our problem". Based on reviews called Goodyear. Spoke to Steve - he gave good, free advice. Eventually had to take the car to him as other repair shops had issues. Wonderful Steve worked on the problem there and then because I couldn't wait for it to be repaired. Family crisis. Steve checked a few things, did a few things and then said "try starting it now". Got stranded during a snow storm without snow tires with the entire family in Bend. Because we were in a Tesla Model 3, no one in the entire town had the correct size snow tires in stock. I called a bunch of shops and out of all of all the people that I spoke to, Steve at Goodyear was the most helpful. He really went out of his way to help us out including looking up sizing, making extra phone calls for inventory checks, and providing information on different types of snow chain devices. I've purchased two sets of winter tires from this shop. The owners are super attentive and really know their products. I feel safe and secure with the quality of the work. Appointments are easy to secure and always efficient. The only drawback, unlike it's competitor in town, is the $90 charge for changing over tires. Well, I was pretty happy with these guys doing me seasonal tire rotations, but when I was in this year they told me my front brakes needed to be replaced and were at 2-3mm (and the back were at 4mm). They quoted me $400. They also said I needed two new tires on my seasonal change invoice (although no verbal mention of this when I pick up the car, just mentioned the brakes). Took my car to another shop to get a second opinion. They said my brakes had "lots of life left" with the front being at 4-5mm and the back at 7mm. They also said tires looked "pretty new" and were just wearing a little uneven and needed the alignment checked. Could have been out $400 plus the cost of 2 new tires had I listed to these guys! read more

Goodyear never lets me down. Affordable auto care without gimmicks. I had some rear shocks that failed and were out of warranty.... and I thought I'd have to have new rear shocks installed. Goodyear realized that the shocks had a defect and shouldn't have failed, so they installed a new set for FREE! Great shop! read more

Tenner, Issac and Tyler saved the day for us. Our alternator died late on Friday afternoon the night before we were supposed to drive home to Seattle. Most shops would have just turned us away but they took great care of us and squeezed us in before closing so that we could leave on time. This is some the best, most genuinely helpful service I have ever received. I am about 6 hours from home and guess what, check engine light comes on and starts making a horrible noise. I called and they were booked up but Travis said to bring it in and he'd check it out for me. They ran the code and put it up on the rack to double check it. Turns out it I can make it home. I switched from Les Schwab to this local owned Goodyear shop when it took me three attempts to get winter tires put on at LS and I kept missing the window. I've been coming to Goodyear here in Bend for years now. After other experiences that were less than stellar with other businesses for oil changes and light services, I found a coupon to my liking and figured I would give them a shot. To my pleasant surprise they use Kendall oil. The research I have done in the past tells me that this is high quality motor oil. The people were friendly and clear about services and costs. The service was done quickly (I was able to schedule an appointment) and I was quite happy. I've noticed things in the time I have been coming here. The staff at the front desk hasn't changed. To me this says volumes about the quality of people they hire and how those people are treated. Also I have had them do other services such as transmission flushes, etc. their prices are competitive if not better than other such business, private shops, and dealerships. They always honor the coupon price for the standard service even when I have forgotten it. Service has always been done to my satisfaction and I will happily be patronizing Goodyear for the foreseeable future. read more

I am really impressed with the guys at Goodyear. I started out winter 2016 thinking I could get away with snow tires on my car in Bend. After the first storm, I came back to Goodyear and they refunded my purchase of snow tires for 4 studded tires, and I paid the reasonable difference. About a month later I popped one of the tires on a pot hole - they couldn't fix my tire. They did rotate the studded to the front of the car - free of charge. They let me drive on an old tire, until I got a new studded one- and gave me a good deal on that too. I believe it was Ron and Travis who helped me out- but they're all terrific. read more

This was my first time buying tires through Goodyear and it will be my last. I thought I was getting a good deal on my studded tires this season when I spend about a $100 less than normal but the savings didn't last long. About a month of driving on my new studs the rear passenger side tire blew driving down 97. It looked like the bead come off the rim completely and the tire almost ripped in half (or vise versa). I put the spare on, drove to Goodyear, and asked if they could warranty the tire. First, I was told that it would not be covered under the manufactures warranty even though it was a manufacturing defect. Then, they blamed it on me and said it looked like I drove through a pot hole. I explained that my car is a commuter car and that it only drives on the highway. They didn't believe me so I ended up spending another $60 on another brand new studded tire. Winter passed, so I went back to Goodyear to have my tires swapped out. When I was there I asked if they would repair and mount my full size spare tire (had a nail in it) on the rim that had their studded tire that blew out on me in the beginning of winter. They did, and charged me another $40. $20 for the fix and $20 for the mount. That part wasn't that big of a deal, I'm just used to Les Schwab doing it for me at no extra charge (regardless if it's their tire of not). What really frustrated me was that I asked Goodyear to put the fixed spare in the trunk when they were done as I wanted a matching set of tires on the car. Today, two days after they swapped my tires, I found out that they didn't follow those instructions because I had a flat tire. The flat tire was the tire that should have been my spare, the one they "repaired" and mounted for $40. All in all, the $100 saved wasn't saved at all. In hindsight, I would have paid an extra $100-$200 anywhere else to just avoid all the frustration and time spend on the side of the highway. I will never use Goodyear again. #LesSchwabAllTheWay!!! read more

My car needed a new battery. Being a bit of a newer car, the placement of the battery was difficult to get to and required more labor to take out. Once the battery was out, they put a new one in, which unfortunately was shot. They had someone bring over a brand new, fully functioning battery from down the street and had it in within 15 minutes. It was a bit of a process, but the owner that helped me out was extremely kind, informative, and apologetic for the inconvenience. I totally recommend this place! i recently purchased a older used vehicle and needed a price to make a repair. they gave a reasonable enough price that i didnt feel i would have to take on the task my self. fast forward, my primary vehicle was getting tires balanced and rotated a very well known former prineville company, to which they stated i needed rear brakes and quoted $500. as soon as regained consciousness i took it in to good year. to be fair i said nothing about the previous quote, sure enough, it was confirmed brakes were indeed needed, quoted and completed @ $170. my heros m read more

We go here to purchase tires for our vehicles, and come back regularly for rotation etc. The guys there are always super nice, you'd think they never have bad days. You honestly can't tell by their personalities. Steve and Travis are especially great. Service is lacking. Went in ordered tires, made an appointment to get them mounted, dropped the car off at 7:30 in the morning came back at 5 pm for pickup and the car was never touched. The person working the counter had the nerve to ask me to "hang out" for another half hour/hour while they get to my car. Who does this?
