My husband Duane, had an oil change last week. His filler box was broken in the process. I called in to start a claim. I think this should be fixed by Valvoline since it was broke during his appt. I already contacted Customer Service and a claim was opened. That was last week and they said someone would contact me this week and I haven't heard anything. I've been to two Valvoline places now and both have been quick, efficient and very reliable. You do not need an appointment but you do need to know when they are busiest. The best thing about this oil change place is they will try to sell upgrades but do not make you feel uncomfortable about not doing it. The employees who work here have always been very professional, knowledgeable and well trained to do their jobs. Each location I've been to has been very clean and friendly. I'm new to town and needed a routine oil change for my beloved Toyota. I mentioned that I needed windshield-wipers and where could I get them. He mentioned that they have them there. I did the oil change, added wipers, a much needed air filter and aired up my tires. These guys are thorough, understanding, knowledgeable, and POLITE! They worked as a team, answered my questions, and were the consummate professionals too! And the price was way less than I had expected! Went in two days ago(july 29) to get my oil changed, just a simple and basic service. Day later ended up having the engine overheating and spewing coolant all over. Car broke down on the side of the highway states away from home. Went in to get it looked at and mechanic told me they didn't put the filter on right-just set it on and caused a whole lot of issues. I have brought other vehicles here with no issues. However, the last time they did not secure the bolts on the skid plate resulting in loss of the vehicle for quite awhile. It was brand new car and they were the only ones to lay hands on it. I am waiting for a refund for my oil change but no consideration at all for the loss of the vehicle. read more

Took my daughter"s Audi to this Valvoline. 1/23/23. On 3/12/23 needed another oil change. When I took it to Valvoline on SW97 they said car has a "severe" oil leak. Oil change costs $119. I then took Audi to mechanic who said Valvoline broke something while performing the initial oil which caused the oil change. I'd say if you have to use Valvoline go to the one on SW97 near Walmart. I'm a fan of Valvoline - I normally patronize the south Bend location, but I stopped to this one and it's equally as good. So I'll just plagiarize my other review: I require very few things from oil change places but those few are important. Valvoline (formerly an Oil Can Henry's) ticks off the list just fine: - Reasonable prices. Check - Efficient operation. Check - No sales pressure for extras. Check - Don't screw up my oil pan drain plug. Check And that's about it. They also do a routine check on such things as headlights and turn signals, air filter, etc. If you're there for an oil/filter change, you'll be asked what type of oil (standard, synthetic, something else). You might be asked if you want your tire pressure checked and adjusted. You might be asked if you want new wipers. All good things and all with zero pressure to buy extras. The people at Valvoline follow a verbal acknowledgment routine whereby one person will announce a step in the process and someone else will acknowledge. A lot of oil change places do that so Valvoline is not particularly ahead of the game there but it gives you a sense that your vehicle is getting proper attention. And it keeps things running smoothly and safely for the business. Recommended. read more

Need an oil change? This is definitely the place to go in Bend. They are fast, efficient and you don't even have to get out of your car. Great value for the services they provide and no high-pressure sales pitches for anything else your car might need. They show you your air filters and recommend synthetic oil but not pressure you into purchasing any. This was my second experience here and cannot recommend them enough. read more

Staff pulled up let me know that they open in about 30 minutes very friendly very polite guys. If I lived here this would be my go to spot. They knew I was just passing through and had a long road trip they could've tried to sell me on things or say somethings wrong with my vehicle but they did not. i got there at 10:40am , got sent into the middle line. i realize a bunch of cars start moving to the sides of me and im thinking okay cool im finally going to get seen, turns out other people were getting seen. it took over an hour before i got told to change into a separate lane to "make this go a little faster" . i finally left at 12:10pm. also, they said theyd be able to see me in about "45 minutes". i guess it got my oil changed though. read more

Want to burn holes in your pocket while changing your vehicle's fluids? AKA the last coolant service I had here was over $200 and that wasn't to include the oil just as a regular service. They will sell you replacement parts like filters and lights they just won't check them anymore unless you're in the bay. I had been to the south location in Bend, Oregon several times and received quick, efficient, and friendly service. Not so today (8-16-22). It took about an hour by the time I left. Techs were standing around, talking excessively to each other and to customers, and generally working very slowly. I turned down the lights/signal and tire pressure check because I was tired of waiting. They never did ask about my obviously buggy windshield. In the past, all of these things had been done routinely. I probably won't return. read more

I went into Valvoline's Bend, OR location at 1144 NE 3rd street for a transmission fluid change and 500 miles later my transmission starts grinding bad. Come to find out from a separate mechanic that my transmission only had 2.6 pints of fluid in it. The mechanic stated he should have drained at least 6.5 pints of fluid. He also didn't find any signs of leaks and confirmed this was likely caused during my last service. The Valvoline manager Robert was there with the mechanic when the transmission was drained, however Robert still insisted that the video evidence of the service tech. Jason checking the fluid level multiple times was enough to prove they did an adequate job. Robert is ignorant and will not treat you as a customer should be treated. He only tried to weasel his way out this dilemma, as well as he lied to me about filing a claim. I found this out when I called customer service and was advised nothing had been filed. It was at that time I filed the claim on my own and I was able to get in contact with the regional supervisor, Brett, and fortunately he was far more understanding and saw the situation differently. Since Brett and the claims dept. both saw the clear evidence pointing to incompetent services done by Valvoline, I was able to get paid out for the damages. I would not recommend going for any type of service at this location. They may be friendly during the service, but if anything goes wrong they will only try and bully you. Robert Gray should not be a manger here, as he is clearly not fit to lead. The time saved at these locations is not worth all the stress, headache and extra money when they do a poor job. read more

Tried for a few days to get in here. Their estimated time to wait according to their phone message is waaaayyyy off. I finally made it here with minimal wait. The people are very nice but their prices are pretty high. I don't come here without a coupon. I needed a new air filter for my car compartment. They didn't have any but quoted me about $60 for it. I went to a local auto part store and bought one and installed it myself for about $20. read more

I liked the previous incarnation at this location and often want there. I was disappointed at the new pricing, MUCH higher for the oil change. I'm pretty sure the dealer would have charged less! The service person nice, but the pit crew seemed considerably less experienced. One guy was loudly screaming out incoherent callouts to the next car over, I suspect he was protesting the policy. The guy under my vehicle didn't even bother except when someone else was helping him. I asked specifically about the windshield washer fluid (OCH didn't use winterized fluid) and was told they had filled it and yes it was winter stuff. Checked at home and it wasn't filled AT ALL. OCH offered a pleasant experience at a reasonable price. It now feels like a a low-ordinary experience at a very premium price. I will be shopping around next time. read more

These guys are so helpful and quick at their job, and nothing less of efficient! I went in for my standard oil change before I went on a trip to the coast a couple of weeks ago. It was midday on a Monday and they still had a line when I pulled up, I was surprised thinking others would be at work, but hey, I wasn't working either! Anyway, one of the workers came up to me and checked me in, inspected my lights and the line kept moving quickly, they seriously are great at what they do! When I pulled into the bay they got to work right away and in no time my oil had been changed and they were directing me out and on with my day. My son used the service in Portland OREGON so I thought to give it a try; Found a Valvoline Oil Station close to my home in Redmond, Oregon. The attendants were busy with their work, not one person stood about looking for tasks to perform. The range of autos were many from motorhomes to SUVs, finally my tiny 1990 Toyota truck. Moderately priced to Jiffy Lube, I find the business attentive and caring to the vehicles serviced. Not a second passed by to create error on the cars service.
