I hate to write a bad review for a local business, but here we go..... OUR ENGINE WAS OVER-FLOODED WITH 6 QUARTS OF OIL My fiancé and I have been coming here for years without issue. I got my oil changed here in late May. In July, my check engine light came on that I had low oil levels. The crush washer on the drain plug was not replaced and caused an oil leak. Ok. Took it back to them and they addressed the problem and gave me a free car wash since my car was covered in oil. That same day, we noticed my skid plate oil drain cover was broken and flapping off ): For reference, I have had my new 2024 vehicle for 2.5 years and it has less than 20k miles, so it just simply is not being used enough to get this kind of damage. In fact, the last time I got my oil changed they told me the undercarriage was in great condition! After that, we decided to stay away from this establishment. My fiancé took his car in elsewhere to get his oil changed after his last one at Bend Express Lube in May. Turns out.... The engine had SIX EXTRA QUARTS OF OIL IN IT. That's a total of 12.5 quarts when it calls for 7!!!!!!!!!!! They had to vacuum the oil out to determine the total quantity that was overfilled!!!!!!! The vehicle was driven for 5,000 miles like that, on a low mileage truck!!!!!!!!!! I think we would remember if we purchased oil and added it willy nilly to a fairly new vehicle (we didn't do this)! Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I hope my review saves at least one engine. read more

It is a long read but I had to put all the detail. I have been going to Bend Express Lube for about 20 years, never really had a problem with them until last week. Took my 2020 Tiguan in for an oil change, no problem, should be easy. When I arrived two of the employees asked for the mileage on the vehicle, my wife, who was driving, read it to them. Then of course they want to upsell another service, air filter, nope, I will buy one at the auto parts store which is cheaper. THEN one guy suggested to flush out the coolant which was going to cost about $150, he said with all the miles on the car it should be done, he said it was bone dry and this summer was going to be extremely hot, we declined the service. We had a $99.99 coupon for the service but found another coupon for $89.99, gave it to them thinking that what will be the price NOPE!! The final total was $117.73, as we were leaving I was looking at the invoice then inquired about the higher price, he said because our vehicle takes 6 quarts of oil and charged $12.75 for the extra quart of oil. The mileage they have on the invoice said 169,059, TWICE we told them the mileage, the car only has 62, 059 miles, stupid. When we got home I checked the coolant myself, no it wasn't bone dry, it was exactly where it supposed to be. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR LIES TO DO EXTRA SERVICES !!!! read more

I went to this place for years. I've taken all my vehicles here but last summer decided to to NOT give them my business any longer. Every time I would go in there, the " manager" would find some reason to read me the riot act over my vehicle. Not sure of his name but he's a short, sawed off little punk with a big attitude and lil man syndrome and an even bigger mouth. I guess he thinks he's my dad because he would always ridicule me for being a few hundred miles over what their sticker says like it was his own truck. lol if it wasn't the mileage, he always found some excuse to complain. I know that I'm not the only one he treats like this because he's treated my wife this way and one of my employees. A kid with this kind of attitude act this way everywhere he goes I'm sure. Last time I went there, I had punched my card enough times that I was owed a free basic oil change. This lil fella met me in the parking lot as always to direct me to which bay they needed me. When I presented the card that showed all spaces punched, he immediately accused me of " probably punching it myself " and ho- hummed around about whether he would honor it or not. He checks the computer and asks if I've changed license plates and tells me that I've only been there one time according to his records BUT very graciously agrees to do me a favor and honor the punch card. Of course, I knew this to be inaccurate so while they were changing my oil, I looked through my glove compartment and found all of the receipts that I've saved for this truck with this license plate, proving that I had had all the punches on the card legitimately and was indeed owed a free change. Keep in mind this guy didn't come up to my window one time questioning the card. He came up to my window so many times chastising me and telling me that he was doing me a huge favor that I literally closed the window on him and told him to change the oil and leave me alone. The last time he came to my window was because I flagged him over to show him the receipts in which case he rolled his eyes and laughed a sort of smart ass snicker as he walked away. Proven to be absolutely and completely wrong,He had no desire to argue or throw is whopping 135 pounds of weight around anymore. This KID was obviously bullied in the locker room in high school, thrown out of Boot Camp or maybe rejected at a fraternity someplace because he's got a chip on his shoulder,a piss poor attitude and a strong desire to show the world how all powerful and important he is. Either way it makes no difference to me. I now take my 4 vehicles someplace else and I'm very happy with their service and not having to have a confrontation with a lil kid that's young enough to be my grandson although if he was, his attitude would be straightened out real quick, I promise. Btw, I tried several times to contact an owner or anyone that might be interested in what a punk of an employee they had but to no avail. read more

We have been servicing our vehicles here for many years because it's close and easy. In the last couple years they have become very sales oriented and I typically take my kids and wife's cars because of the upselling. My teenage daughter went down to get an oil change and told them up front she just wanted an oil change. They came back and said we have bad news. Your oil was black and barely registering on the dip stick you need to flush it first. Then talked her into a fuel system cleaning and a differential service. Never told her the price and racked up a bill of $357. Car was serviced before this by the dealership by a previous owner and only had 70,000 miles. Called the manager Jared and he said it was all needed and kept on selling just like he does every time I go in. I'm done with them and will take my 6 vehicles elsewhere. There are other 1 star reviews that are spot on. My daughter who was taking responsibility for her own maintenance feels taken advantage and got talked into services she could not afford. After carrying around this little VIP card for 2 years for a free oil change... and consenting to an oil flush for 59.99 I still had to pay $164.37 which was absolutely ridiculous. Highly don't recommend coming here. Firstly, I went there to get my oil changed, only to find two quarts of oil leaking out of my engine 3 weeks later. I kept replacing the oil of my car costed me about 50$. I thought they had done my oil change right so I took my car into Volkswagen. Only to find out that Bend Express Lube didn't replace a copper washer after my oil change. (While More manufacturers are choosing to use a copper washer or gasket that deforms when you tighten the drain plug. These copper washers are not designed to be REUSED, and they should be replaced at every oil change.) So I was frustrated and when I had called to ask if they change the copper washer and they said NO. Truly I was stunned so I went further to ask if maybe I could get a free oil change the manager was rude to me and laughed without a response. I've never felt more disrespected in my life, and I think it's super petty. Accept you did the wrong thing, and give me a free oil change. Then make it worse, if I were an individual I would ask for itemized receipts and be more verbal about what you need... or they want give you what you NEED!! read more

Quickly called around and found out that Bend Express Lube did have my Volkswagen atlas filter and immediately got me in and got my oil change for my trip. It gives me no satisfaction to speak ill, but you should be warned. This shop serviced my vehicle (while I was on a road trip) with a basic oil change and failed to properly secure the oil pan gasket. Subsequently this led to a blown engine and a terrible interaction with their insurance company who offered an unjust sum to replace my vehicle as a total loss. Do not trust Bend Express Lube, even for a simple oil change. read more
