I love this particular goodwill. They are very organized and things are really easy to find. This store also tends to get more of the better quality, clean and even new clothing ( other items ) w/ original store tags. The staff is great...especially the furniture handlers. They have tons of quality craft supplies and I love the vases of junk jewelry but this particular store rarely gets them. The one on the south side has tons though. I would go here everyday if I could but then I would probably be broke! I'll keep coming back again and again. read more

I have been going here for years. . . on a regular basis. I like supporting the GoodWill since they actually give back to the community! Although sometimes they might be smoking a little too much weed/etc when pricing things at more than what you can go buy same thing for NEW at a store, there are sometimes some amazing deals at this Goodwill. The manager and the staff are very friendly, the bathrooms are ALWAYS clean, and its rare you will have to wait very long in a line since they seem to be ontop of the cashier's staffing. read more

It still smells like a thrift store, but their prices are still low compared to Value Village.

TJ maxx but goodwill goodness. large and in charge. organized by item, color and housed many other non-clothing items. I scored with sunglasses, a perfect sized glass's case, and a pair of slippers that fold neatly into their own pouch! didn't find shorts that fit me right but I could have looked for shit forever. read more

I've had it. I live nearby so it's convenient to donate my used items here. No more. I have put up with the rude men who work here for too long. Each time I think I'll stop going there and then I go again thinking it'll be different. Sounds like an abusive relationship. Today I left after being treated rudely and went down the street to another charity who takes donations...S.A. (name withheld so the comment doesn't get taken down) they were nice and appreciative of my items. I'll be going here from now on. Goodwill doesn't get any more of my used stuff. read more

Seriously, I've had better. The parking lot is like a bumper cars ride at Six Flags. The only sections I've ever had any luck in finding any true gems are the book and household goods. First of all, somehow the people who work here have somehow kept the book section in amazing organization. KUDOS! Second, there are usually some great books within the section. But overall, this Goodwill is not my first stop when thrifting (which is really a bummer since it is the closest to my home). read more

It's more organized than other goodwills that I've been to. Went there for a fan and a microwave, found the microwave but it was the only one there, for $20 and there were no fans :( Huge selection of bread makers though, guess it depends on demand! It was big but nowhere near the Dearborn location. Employees seemed sweet. read more

This is my favorite Goodwill store. It's huge, easy parking, clean, and well organized. I always find something I want here. Their clothing selection is my favorite. During my last visit I found a pair of $200+ jeans (sold at Urban Outfitters) for $6 and a top from Nordstrom for $1.49. You can't beat that. I wish they had a wider selection of toys and kids stuff, but you can't win 'em all I guess. read more

I just moved to the area and a good portion of my furniture has come from this store. Every time I come here I ask myself why anyone would buy anything new. Just today I got curtains that I am fairly certain are brand new for an amazing price. It is a great, clean store with a wide selection of furniture and clothes. read more

take your smart phone! If you do not check the online price for many of the items sold at this store you WILL over pay. Goodwill receives most of the inventory free of charge and should be priced accordingly. read more

I have found so many household items here that are clean and barely used. Great for things like jeans, t shirts and jackets.

Tons of selection and great stuff.I once saw two ladies leave with IKEA shelves they got for $20.00 each. I like this store because they always have a constant flow of stuff coming in. But with that in mind, they are always busy. Parking is limited and there can be a long line and wait for donations. Unlike, Value Village, coupons are not given when you donate. If that matters to you, which it sometimes does to me, you might want to go to Value Village. read more

Like the remodeling they have done overtime. I hope there will be more fitting rooms soon as on big sale days and weekends it is generally busy and there may be a long wait. Always friendly staff and good selection. Organized and easy to find what you're looking for. read more

I went to donate a bag of clothing at their drive through location today, and the staff member attending the drop off center treated me with extreme and unwarranted rudeness. Even hours later I still feel frustrated and wronged. I understand that the line was long and he had probably worked a long day, but I don't see that as a fair justification for his attitude and behavior. I will not be returning to donate more items to this location because I cannot support a business which condones this attitude from their employees, especially towards those actively donating so that they can operate. read more

Nicest donation center ever!! They always greet everyone with a smile and they could not be more helpful!!

Found some cool pants here and some polaroid cameras. I like the layout the store. However I not sure if I like the do the show section, I would preferred all the sizes would have been in one set location. read more

We have been here 3 times with some great things and NOBODY offers to help unload the car. They helped the car next to us and the car behind us, but not us. We will not be supporting them again. read more

This is the best Goodwill with above and beyond customer service. My parents are moving and I have been doing a lot of goodwill runs for them. Recently I dropped off a box and accidentally left my phone on the top of the items to donate. When I came back ten minutes later the box was gone but all of the employees were so nice trying to find it for me. The manager Israel went above and beyond after we couldn't find it, he called me after I had given up to suggest I use find my iPhone to make the sonar sound so they could locate it and then searched the back until they found it. So incredibly generous!! read more

One if my favorite ones. Usually find some great deals. Furniture is always very low priced. I be back over and over again

Everything in this Goodwill is well-organized and all of the people working there were friendly and helpful. They asked several times if I needed help finding anything or carrying anything. When I was trying to figure out how to get some big furniture items into the trunk of my car Earl, one of the aforementioned helpful people, arranged everything perfectly so I was able to get it all home. read more

Are you serious, goodwill?? At this location, I have the pleasure of discovering ratty used clothing items price at HIGHER than suggested retail price. I have seen dirty old forever 21 dresses priced at $25, gross old shoes for more than $40, and a single Pyrex item for $18. This used to be a place for lower income folks to find great clothes and household items for cheap. That's not the case anymore. Get a grip, Goodwill. You are not a boutique. You are a thrift store. read more

Spoiler alert! Manager at Goodwill Ballard now hiring hipster clothing pricers instead of deserving Goodwill job trainee graduates. Clothing and shoe prices here are just ridiculous!! Might as well buy new..better deal. Makes me Sad! read more

One of the best, if not, the best Goodwill in Seattle (and most cities, for that matter). There is always a ton of great stuff here at reasonable prices. The prices have started to go up in the last couple of years and once and a while the shoes or some of the fancy brands are overpriced, but you can still find tons of great deals. Great for clothes, furniture, dishware, linens, you name it. read more

You wouldn't BELIEVE how expensive this place is. Seriously. I am a thrift store maniac and this is by far the most expensive I've seen.

Lots of great finds at the Goodwill. Beware of the "fashion forward" section. The prices are crazy...$24 for a shirt? But - the regular racks are FULL of great finds. I got an awesome knee-length H&M coat for $5! They do the typical 50% off a colored tag each week - which makes the treasure hunting so much more fun. The staff is not particularly pleasant...or pleasant at all- but you are not paying for nice. read more

First off I only shop here rarely and only for books. After a visit to this store today I noticed a number of dogs in the store! Thinking there cannot be that many therapy dogs in one spot even in this area I was puzzled. As usual the checkout line was long which is ok. One expects this at times. The young couple in front of me had a dog which looked frankly dirty. Waiting in the line there is a display of candy for sale and I observed the dog sniff and nuzzle every single candy bar that it could reach. I'm not sure how this can even meet the most lax health standards, but there you have it. I asked the cashier what the dog policy us and she informed me they allow all dogs since they are not a food service business... but obviously they do sell food itemsshe further informed me that it is up to the manager of each store to set the policy. Seems irresponsible since it's probably only a matter of time before someone is attacked or bitten. That's a lawsuit that could cost someone a hefty payout when it goes to court. So be warned maybe think twice about the bacteria count on the candy wrappers if you purchase them. I also wonder when the last time was that the floors were cleaned in that store? They really are dirty and the smell in the store is alarming as well . Hope someone at Goodwil can take a look at this store. To me as such a busy outlet it is very poorly managed. read more

Wow! I was impressed by how clean, large and organized this Goodwill was. Most experiences I've had with Goodwill have been sub-par. This place has a lot of good stuff and of course..it's super cheap. The clothes are organized by size AND color-coded. Definitely was impressed by that. Found myself a cute sweater for $7, and some cheap shoes for $5. PLUS, Thursday-Sunday blue tag items are half-off the already low price they are. What a deal. There's books, purses, furniture, household goods, etc. Definitely a fun place to shop if you have the time. read more

Love this place. In my opinion it's better than Value Village by a long shot. You're not going here to get great stuff, but you can certainly find some good movies, books and cloths for kids. I get lots of my kids stuff here because they grow out of the cloths and books and movies so quickly. I found a few good things for myself here as well. Really big store - sales folks are super nice too. read more

This place sucks! the ppl are so rude! When I was 6mo pregnant I was in the dressing room trying on some clothes that I was only going to wear a few more months and the same lady that let me in knocks on the door a few min. of me being in there and i said someones in here and she told me to hurry up! wtf! who does that?! i was so mad I told the manager. and the other day the guys outside yelled at me! read more

I just recently went to goodwill and bought a pair of pants for my brother they didn't fit him, and I can't return them because the employee did not give me a receipt this is very very frustrating because I spent 13 DOLLARS ON THOSE PANTS I am extremely frustrated and annoyed about this rookie mistake read more

woah, ive gotten the best board games here!! easy money , cranium, life and orginal version in perfectt condition! they also have a great selection of random furniture. read more

i came here to find some cheap wool sweaters to unravel. while i found a few, the prices seem a bit arbitrary... especially in the women's sweaters. overall, though, it was okay read more

I dig this Goodwill but their prices have gone through the roof over the past several months. Anything worthwhile will be very expensive, like $70 for a used Kate Spade purse or NWT dress. Perhaps they've raised prices to deter the eBay crowd -- there are literally dudes who hang out all day here and scoop up anything good for resale -- but it's also deterred me. read more

Wow! I haven't been to Goodwill in ages, and I remember my last experience involving bunches of old, out-of-fashion clothes and dirty pots and pans that no one would want. This store is fabulous!!! There are tons of women's and men's clothes to choose from, curtains, table linens, purses gallore, kitchen supplies, etc. I saw some really nice stuff here for great prices. I seriously think the selection and quality is better than a lot of consignment shops I've been to. Check this place out! Five stars!! read more

This is the most overpriced thrift store in the Seattle area. There prices easily exceed retail. I can only assume people keep shopping there because its a thrift store so they think they must be getting a good deal. Actually the antique stores in the area are cheaper than the Goodwill. There is one pricer there in particular who is completely off his rocker. If I could give this less than one star I would. read more

I used to love shopping here until they crowded in several more racks making it virtually impossible to turn around. No thanks!

Favorite Goodwill..ever!!! I never leave empty handed, great staff its always a pleasure!! So many good deals!!

I had a really great experience here, today! I like that it's a pretty big store, but it doesn't feel like it takes forever to get through it like the really big one downtown. You really have to hunt, though, because the prices can be all over the place. Sometimes, I find really amazing deals but there's alot of really overpriced stuff, too. The shoe selection is usually pretty great, but I've been having trouble finding anything decent lately that isn't extremely overpriced. I love that they have a parking lot! Knowing that I can easily drive and park somewhere makes me much more likely to spend more time shopping there. read more

Wow...the furniture section. A dozen rows of ever changing, organized, reasonable prices, great customer service. i dont think there is any Good Will in seattle that has as much quality furniture. read more

Not that there is anything wrong with this goodwill. But I walked to to use the bathroom and to quickly buy a pair of shoes that I had been wanted to buy for a while, mind you I know what customer service is especially SGW standards are. A man walked up to me Joe the assistant store manager and told me the store was closed, I asked if all the tills were closed and if I could make a purchase, he told me if "you come up right now we can check you out but we are closed" that being fine and all, Said goodbye to one of the workers there because I know her, as he stood there and was waiting to escort me to the register. I said that's ok I'm not going to do this purchase today. (It's insanely rude to be watched until I leave, I know there are thrives by I am not one of them.) again I told him forget it, and started to walk to the door as he followed me out. I like the Ballard goodwill they produce quality and keep quantity controlled, but to be treated like that by an assistant manager who should know that you should NOT walk directly up to someone and tell them they are closed and you basically can't do any more shopping. Management boot camp is something goodwill does for managers and maybe that'd be a good choice for him, in the retail word of mouth is very important and treating customers with decency a top priority. read more
