I purchased a rug that was tightly rolled and sealed with tape, so there was no way to inspect it at the store. When I got it home and opened it, it was in unacceptable condition--heavily stained, paint marks, and a strong cigarette odor. This is not an item that should have been on the sales floor. I brought it back within a week with the tag attached and receipt in hand. The manager did not start by looking at the condition. Instead, she went straight to finding reasons to deny the return. First she said there was no tag (there was), then said they don't accept returns on "furniture." At no point did Manager Leonora engage with the actual issue. When I tried to show her why I was returning it, another employee inserted herself and escalated the interaction. I did raise my voice out of frustration but I made no threats and was trying to explain a legitimate issue. Rather than hearing the concern or working toward a solution, the situation escalated quickly. I was told to leave or the police would be called for trespassing--and that is exactly what happened. Police were called over a return. Even after I apologized and offered reasonable solutions (exchange or completing my purchase), the manager declined and stayed focused on denying the return and involving public law enforcement. The responding officer even looked at the rug and attempted to find an amicable resolution. My daughter, who was not involved in the interaction, was also threatened with trespass, which was upsetting and unnecessary. This should have been straightforward customer service: 1. The item was not in acceptable condition 2, It was packaged in a way that prevented inspection 3. A reasonable review could have resolved it Instead, it escalated into a situation involving publicly funded law enforcement over a defective item. As a nonprofit serving the community, I would expect a greater emphasis on resolving issues directly rather than relying on public resources to shut down a legitimate concern. For a place called Bella's Voice, it was surprising how quickly the conversation was shut down. I sent a letter to the Executive Director a month ago and no reply whatsoever. Pink tags were 1/2 off and unlike the stores in Reno, they don't take pink tags off the racks before the sale! There are fitting rooms, and it's all very clean and organized. This is a well-oiled machine here. Home goods side, with furniture, and for that alone I wish I had a UHAUL truck backed up. My cousin spent $150 and I spent about $75 and we spent about 3 hours there. Easily could have spent all day, but it was a thrifting kind of day, so we hit several stores the same day. Took away a star because they don't allow you to use their restrooms anymore. We would have spent more time and money, but they closed their bathrooms to the public (stupid).

I wandered the entire shop, except for the clothing racks. Nicely laid out, organized, and clean. I ended honing in on a vintage Tupperware set and due to the affixed sticker color, received a great buy. Upbeat service at the checkout counter too. The joy of thrifting is finding the unexpected.

I spoke to the manager who actually more attentive and pleasant than the Redmond store managers. The lay out of this particular Goodwill is ok, the shoes are kept up organized. They have a power strip ready to be used to test out electronics and though I know it's hard to keep the children's section tidied up, it was surprisingly organized. The highlight of my visit here was that I found some good condition Jordan Proto-max 720 sneakers in my size. I'm not a giant sneaker head...just a tiny bit and could tell before looking it up it was a steal. After doing so, I was right - $29.99 but they go for over $130! They may be dead stocked at this point. Needless to say, these were scooped immediately.
