It's a small cul de sac with about 2/3 of the homes participating in a lighted Christmas spectacle of sorts. Drive or walk through, but don't expect to be dazzled. The decorations are mediocre at best, and the street quiet, but crowded as cars amble their way through the 1/4 mile of semi-decorated houses. It's a sweet idea, and wonderful if you live up the road and can walk over on a crisp evening, but if you are planning a trip from across the city, or even a mile away, perhaps set your sights higher and look for something else.

It was a couple of houses, two blocks at the most? It looks like all the houses had the same decoration given to them. Not really anything amazing, but there was a home made merry go round in the middle of the neighborhood that was impressive. Still cute idea to check out since it's outdoors and safe during covid.

It was a fun drive by, I would recommend to walk, however we weren't bundle up enough for the cold weather. The houses looked really nice and it was nice to see them collecting food for the needy. Great activity to do if in town.

Why is Candy Cane Lane only getting an average of 3 stars? This place is so BEAUTIFUL, and the best part is that it's FREE! Contrary to what people have said, the address on Yelp is actually pretty correct. I looked up an alternate address on a third party website and it took me to exactly where Candy Cane Lane is. In a nutshell, Candy Cane Lane is comprised of two streets connected by roundabout circle. There are thus two entrances that you can come in by. The lane is accessible by both car and on foot, however I recommend traveling there by foot since you don't have to worry about driving in front of someone. Overall when I stopped by (December 2016 right after Christmas), all the houses were beautifully decorated. Each house had its own set of bright lights and inside the roundabout there's also a spinning contraption with Santa Clauses! If you are in Seattle during the winter, I highly recommend checking out Candy Cane Lane. It's a 15 minute walk from campus and there's perfect for a date. There's nothing to lose right? Have fun and prosper,

    Pretty lights.

Want something free to do during the holiday season? There's the Menashe house in West Seattle or you can check out Candy Cane Lane in the Ravenna neighbourhood of Seattle. Starting around December 15th, the area is festooned with holiday cheer! Folks in this small cul-de-sac have been decorating since the 40s with lights, sleighs, reindeer, and all manner of holiday adornment. There's a carousel in the centre of the houses on the traffic circle and some of the houses wish you tidings of the seasons in different languages. Bring patience with you. As it moves closer to the holiday proper, the traffic starts to build and people get grumpy. If you want to take your time, park a couple blocks over and walk in. And if you go early enough in the evening, kids might be there handing out candy canes or if you're very lucky, Santa Claus himself! It's worth mentioning that at the end of the route, there is a collection point for canned goods. Think ahead and bring some with you for those less fortunate.

This house let you control it's decorations - lights, hot cocoa machine, snow - with your voice (http://youtu.be/u5Il50S2MCc)

One house let you control all it's decorations, lights, music, hot cocoa machine, and even snow (!) with just your voice using an Amazon Echo. It was really fun. (Video of it here http://youtu.be/u5Il50S2MCc ) The rest of the neighborhood does a good job creating cohesion with signs in every yard reading "peace" in different languages and a central spinning carousel of holiday messages. It's small but charming and will bring a smile to any kid's face.

Quaint little neighborhood drive for Holiday lights. Tight and windy but fun. Loved the neighborhood theme of Peace in many languages!

Not many of the houses participated. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the houses themselves were lovely. Very uneventful. Yawn.

Not spectacular at all. Better to drive around random streets. I live in lynnwood and I actually have seen better there. It's not worth it.

They did an excellent job with the alterations, despite some ruching detail and pockets in the skirt that could have complicated the tailoring. I am very happy with the results and excited to wear this dress for my friend's wedding! I thought the pricing was fair for the work completed, and discounts were provided depending on payment type. They notified me at drop off that the dress would be done in 2-3 weeks, and it was ready for pick up the VERY next day! I will be bringing more clothes here in the future.

Sometimes though if you're like me, far from that, you just need a tailor to repair some clothes. In my case I had a couple pairs of pants with popped buttons. I dropped them off and the lady, perhaps Elsta, was kind. She took my info and told me I should hear back in 5 days and took down my info. She did warn me that if I did not hear back, to call. I understand it gets busy here, the rack when you walk in is loaded with clothes and another with dresses. I came back in a week later as I got busy and was close by coming off work and it was not ready. The lady was very apologetic and told me it would be ready the following day. Sure, enough I got a text the following afternoon to come pick up. The pants were nicely and tightly rebuttoned. Only cost $11 which is less than I expected. So, if I inevitably have to bring more buttons to be sewn or zippers to be repairs, I'll come back.

They had done a fine job about a handful of times for cleaning other items (eg, Reformation dress and blouse, wool sweater) that I brought in for cleaning prior so that's why I give them 1 star. This most recent time I brought in 4 items (2 for repair and 2 for cleaning). They have let me down on multiple levels due to ruining 2 items, charging me for cleaning that I didn't ask for nor was informed of, and not having a way for these issues to be resolved in a timely or convenient way. Specific facts follow for these issues next. I have also included photos. First, they pilled all over an entire and brand new Reformation dress that I had only worn once and which was not pilled at all when brought in. The rep explained that pilling can happen in the dry clean process, depends on the brand and fabric composition, that they followed dry clean instructions, that they cannot fix the pilling, and did not have the ability to refund me. I had previously brought a different reformation dress in red of the same fabric composition (see pic), which had been cleaned and only showed very slight to no pilling, which suggests to me user error that warrants a refund (I would think they wouldn't refund me $225 for what I paid for the dress, but at the very least the cleaning fee that resulted in pilling the item entirely leaving it to look much much older and used). Second, I was informed that they had "rejected" to repair a zipper on a small pouch I brought in. The rep informed me that the seamstress may have declined to repair the pouch due to fabric issues. This is fine and possibly reasonable, but, they also returned the pouch damaged. Specifically, beyond the zipper not working, the seems are now detached and unraveling. I'm not sure why the seamstress didn't repair it back to the way it was in its original condition? Third, they repaired velcro on a Patagonia jacket, which I asked for. However, upon pick-up, I was charged $20 for cleaning it. I had not asked for this. They rep informed me that it is their policy "to clean all items for alterations due to COVID" and apologized for not having told me this when I dropped the items off; however, again she was not able to refund me for this mistake. Lastly, the rep told me that I could call back in the mornings to speak to the manager about refunds. I am traveling out of the country and have a work schedule that doesn't really allow for time flexibility for things like this. So, this additional step creates a burden on me as a customer. I hope that in the future that they can train reps to make reasonable decisions about when refunds are warranted and to be able to provide this to the customer without additional burden, inconvenience, and disappointment placed on the customer. Unfortunately, they have lost my trust and I will not be returning to this business. This saddens me because I had previously been very happy with the cleaning I had received up to this point and really do appreciate their using green practices. It's too bad it didn't work out but I don't want to support a business that charges me for things I didn't ask for, ruins my items, and can't give me refunds without my doing additional legwork at hours I'm not free even though they made mistakes.

This business is under the Yelp list of 24-hour access storage places in Seattle. I was completely shocked that this business in my old neighborhood of the U District was now 24 hours! I didn't pick Econo when I was renting my space the first time partly because of their limited access hours, so imagine my surprise to find Econo Mini Storage right at the top of the list!** All I could remember about this place was very limited accessibility, and that the man I spoke to back then actually demanded to know why I would possibly need to access my things after 3:00 p.m. on a weekend when I inquired why the doors were locked so early. I do keep later hours than most people for reasons that are no one else's business because I'm a grown-up! But even by Seattle standards, 3pm is pretty early to assume everyone is done for the day. So I called today and asked if they are 24 hours. He said no of course not, and when I mentioned the Yelp list he denied being on it. **It's also the only business on the 24-hour list actually located in Seattle.
