World's largest Goodwill? Yes indeed. Huge parking lot, very organized inside, and so many employees. There is a boutique area with name brand stuff, but the prices were still amazing. Pink tags were 1/2 off and unlike the stores in Reno, they don't take pink tags off the racks before the sale! There are fitting rooms, and it's all very clean and organized. This is a well-oiled machine here. Home goods side, with furniture, and for that alone I wish I had a UHAUL truck backed up. My cousin spent $150 and I spent about $75 and we spent about 3 hours there. Easily could have spent all day, but it was a thrifting kind of day, so we hit several stores the same day. Took away a star because they don't allow you to use their restrooms anymore. We would have spent more time and money, but they closed their bathrooms to the public (stupid). read more

I'm 80. They closed their restrooms permanently going on years now. And there's no porto potties for the public. I have to pee into a bottle in my car in their parking lot, it's embarrassing. I used to go there all the time, not now, not one more time, folks. What if Bellevue Square did this? Do you think anyone would go there? Then Seattle Goodwill, like all Goodwills want me to round up extra money at the register for their programs. No way. Piss on it. The other Goodwill in Redmond had to rebuild the restrooms recently, it's a cost of doing business, and they did it, and they put porto potties outside while work was in progress. Not Seattle Goodwill. They are not what they used to be, now hundreds of people have to shop without restrooms of any kind. You know what they can do with their store? It has to do with restrooms. Their top management should all be fired for allowing this to happen. It's Restrooms, not leukemia, they can be fixed. Biggest goodwill ever that I've been to. Randomly discovered it while looking for stops to visit. There's a good selection of furniture, clothing and home goods. Walls of kitchen things too! It's almost a home depot sized goodwill. I came back for during a 2nd trip to Seattle. Huge parking lot! Can also get there via public transportation (bus stop nearby). The staff often brings out new clothes and there are fitting rooms! You do have to leave your personal bag outside the fitting room door and there's an employee who will watch them for you (trying to prevent theft). read more

One of the coolest arrangements I've even seen at a Goodwill. There is merchandising, clearly marked aisles, room to look, organization. I will say I have been shopping a lot and this is WAY too expensive for Goodwill. It's like it's trying to be bougie. It's good for sure...but come on it's all profit and we can do better. I was recently in Dallas - if you want to see how to do thrifting proper? Go to Fort Worth and Dallas. Organized and affordable and lovely. Seattle you can do better. Great place to shop ... especially just to see what's new. I volunteer at another thrift store and there's no comparison - GW has a much better selection with better prices. Is the area a little dumpy ? Yes, but it adds to the flavor of the experience and there's two security guards at the front. If you need high end stuff/ designer clothing , go here first and hit the consignment shops (Gather is good). Employees are hardworking and there's no attitude here. read more

I did a lot of thrifting and once upon a time in the 90's and early 00's Goodwill used to be affordable. The selection was higher quality and the garments didn't look raggedy. Over the last 10 years, I've noticed that some Goodwills like South Lake Union had hiked up their prices so high that it seemed like it was 20 percent off an original new priced item somewhere else. $6.99 shoes hiked up to $9.99 and $24.99. You can get some brand new shoes for $24.99 at some retailers. Goodwill doesn't seem like it's a store for low income or people who can't afford clothing anymore. It seems like it's a store for Goodwill to post the best of its clothes online and leave the discarded piles for customers. This seems true for records, housewares, and sporting goods. I'll still support because I know Goodwill does good work for the community. Prices are just high. Especially for toys that are missing parts and that are broken. Just my two cents. read more

Gouging on shipping costs. eBay buyer here. I used to buy from them all the time on eBay, but they are grossly overcharging on shipping costs. I recently bought a tapestry from them. They charged 48$. It weighed about a pound and was shipped in a soft pack. Everything is priced like this now on Shopgoodwill and eBay. Word needs to get out. read more

This location is becoming a terrible place to shop. I come here often, but I am reconsidering supporting a place that openly steals from its honest shoppers and allows other people to steal with no repercussions. I am not a reseller, or an antique shop, or a store owner; I am just a low-income Seattle person who used to love this store. I used to enjoy it, but more often than not, I am disappointed with my items, and recently, they wouldn't accept my return(s), even JUST for store credit. I am always kind, I show my receipts upon exiting, and am not confrontational. I feel I have been targeted as a shoplifter; random strangers with no cart or any clothing or anything come out of nowhere to randomly chit-chat, then leave super fast; the security guards are sometimes like at my side all the time; also, they won't accept my returns. They have tons of poor quality junk that they sell at higher-than-retail prices. They sell counterfeit items with the letters "OR," assuming that means original, but they are not authenticated properly, so they are usually not designer, but they still write "OR" and then sell them for high prices ($39.99 to 99.99), regardless of whether it is an authentic designer item. I have bought some things for a lot of money, only to find out later in the week, they were inauthentic. Which means, you are likely buying a counterfeit item for a lot of money. Sometimes, the stock is super torn, chipped, ratty, peeling, extremely used, and many times the stock of glassware/plastic ware looks disgusting. The prices vary in price so rapidly sometimes too. One day I bought a small area rug for $15, then a week later went to find another small area rug and it was $80. I have tried returning my items, and they do not allow it. Their policies constantly change and the staff operate differently depending on the day. My family is tired of buying broken stuff and then going back for them to not accept the returns. We have bought broken blenders (that we only realized when we got home), broken shelves, and torn up shoes, and they would not accept the returns! --For store credit! Tons of people here steal openly, so people's shoes are on the racks as they shoe swap. Period blood is on some pants, as if someone just swapped their pants. And they also won't accept returns on things with no prices, but they will sell it to you. So, you may be eyeing someone's shoes that they just put on the shelf so they could steal another pair. I found a bookbag with no tag, and they asked for $50, but no chance to return. There are no restrooms anymore. Their dressing rooms are atrocious and stink. They have made mistakes on my purchase ticket and have not honored their own mistake (for example, they charged me what someone before me was going to purchase, but then that person didn't pay, and they left, but the employee left the item on my ticket. I literally realized it while I was there, but after I paid, unfortunately, but they said they couldn't give me a return for it because I didn't have the item! Like, it was THEIR mistake! I literally didn't buy the item, but paid for it. Carts get stolen while people are trying on clothes. Staff has been more recently openly rude to customers and will ram the carts into people. What the heck is happening? I used to love shopping here. I am very disappointed in what it is becoming. I don't want to pay $200 for a cart of "Shein" and "A New Day" priced as if it is Gucci. I get that they supposedly donate to support job training, but it's starting to feel like stealing. The managers are curt and disrespectful. I am very, very upset. I donate here a lot and shop here often. And I am pretty frustrated about this. I expect and am deserving of a lot of store credit by now. read more

Love this place. The selection is unrivaled. They have a great section of higher level fashion up front if you don't get as much joy as I do digging through the racks. In the racks is everything you could ever need. Looking for housewares? One of the largest housewares (read anything not clothes) sections in the country. The prices are good but if you want SUPER cheap just look around for an alternative that has a tag sale (50% one color each day) Sure it's messy, but they're doing their best. It's partially cause they have SO much stuff, and the patrons don't necessarily keep things tidy either. Wanted to shout out whoever did the shoe displays in April of 2024. This Goodwill is MASSIVE. If you love to shop second hand/thrift this is a great location. I spent maybe 3-4 hours browsing through all the racks here. There is a parking lot which I appreciate. My biggest complaint would be it is kind of hard to browse through the clothing racks at times because they are so packed with clothes on there. So, if there was a way to maybe add more racks somehow to mitigate this issue that would be cool. read more

hello this is Kelly, I have just left this location and go there quite frequently. my heart is tremmring of how embarrassing this was for me! I have never been kicked out of a store especially because of my lovely PSD/ESA (psychiatric SERVICE dog-( for my sever anxiety and PTSD) /emotional support SERVICE animal) Nova, she is very well trained. I've had no problems with her EVER. After 10 minutes of being at this store a man walked up to me in front of a group of people and insisted I tell him what my disability is and what kind of service animal she is or I would have to leave which is illegal and may I add completely inappropriate he could have asked what she is trained to do witch is legal. After I told him she is a PSD/ESA and I explained to him what that means, he then interrupted me and said "nope you've got to go you guys cannot be in here and pointed to the door, and I told him I could bring her to the car come back and pay for the stuff I have in my cart, he then followed me out of the door and stood by me the whole time after I came back in. He must have not understood this is EXACTLY WHY I have my PS DOG. I then heard him say something to his coworker about how "these type of people don't actually need service animals" .. : ( .. I have very bad anxiety the whole store was watching me from that point on I just wanted to hurry and get out of there! Please I hope someone handles this serious issue! He could have told me they don't allow service animals and left it at that but to put me through all of that was very unfortunate! read more

The online auction house of this store is horribly run. They over charge on shipping for everything. Any item that is one pound in weight, you will be charged $30+ in shipping costs and handling, fees and tax. A nine pound box of modern garbage comics (2020 and later) that they claim is "vintage", will cost you $30+. They will not combine shipping which is completely different than all other Goodwill online auction house policy. This Goodwill seems to make up its own rules and does not care about the community, they only want to make as big a profit as possible. They only want your money, they don't care about anything else. read more

I've been to a few Goodwills in my lifetime and this, ladies and gents, is the largest I've ever been in. The women's clothes alone was a warehouse. Then the "rooms" next to the warehouse are filled with the household goods. Then u find the "other room" filled with the Christmas stuff alone. Like wow. Even the lines are fairly long. They go quick but, pretty long. All the designer stuff is in the front and the rack isn't as packed as the normal racks. So it was easy to spot the "Escada" label. I was kinda overwhelmed when I went with my family and was about to leave when I looked thru the jackets rack again and found a Nautica winter coat. I wasn't looking for a coat but, once I tried it on, it get perfectly. Usually all the coats I've found thrifting are oversized, which I don't mind. But this fit perfect and for $7, I had to get it. I feel like I would need a whole day to thrift here. read more

Love this place. Love going early to beat crowds. Selection is definitely variable by season; I have struck out some trips.

Since moving into the area many years ago I have been shopping at this Goodwill for a long, long time and have noticed a disappointing trend which I can only put down to the Seattle Goodwill losing sight of their mission, which, if I am not mistaken, is to support the LOCAL community with cheap, usable goods and provide job training for the LOCAL community members when they need a helping hand. In the last few years, as everyone knows, Goodwill has increasingly been moving to putting anything and everything online. One imagines that Goodwill has increased their revenue through the roof but squeezing as much money as possible out of donated goods is not the point of a local thrift store. Making as much money as possible is the job of Amazon and other corporate entities with shareholders and investors. Anybody with a computer and an ebay account could do that if you have been getting your inventory for free from the local community. A good example would be the books, records and cd's section which has long acted as a loss-leader for drawing folks into the store who would then, in turn, buy other goods at the retail store but of late has seen it's empty shelves merely collecting dust. I hope that Goodwill will soon reconsider how they are treating the local community that has long supported it with donations and purchases and instead start allowing local low-income residents once again to buy traditional goods such as clothes, electronics, records and books at less than the price found on-line. I know that I am not alone in this opinion and will advise others to find alternate places to donate their unwanted items in future. read more

This Goodwill has entirely changed my relationship and perspective on Goodwill. The Goodwill in my hometown was small, shabby, and always smelled funny. Any clothes purchased there had to go directly into the washing machine. Seattle Goodwill is epic. It is like going into Costco in terms of size, perhaps even larger. They have tons of clothes to choose from, housewares, electronics, books, games, toys, shoes. I've gotten great kids' bikes here. I've gotten REI rain pants for $10. Microwaves, almost all of my Corelle plates and bowls. Finding jeans here is great because there are so many styles and brands that I can try a bunch of different things on. Thanks to this Goodwill I finally identified a brand of jean that fits. (!!) New, these suckers retail for $85, so in real life I would have never even tried them on. Now I can look for them at Goodwill or ThredUp and get my fix for $6. read more

This is the best Goodwill I've ever been to!!! my friend was not exaggerating when she said I can find cheap vases and mason jars here. Mason jars are legit $0.20 each!!! You can get as many as you want! You can go there to mine for treasure.....plan a few hours of your time and you can go home with a load of awesome stuff that would've cost 10 times as much in a regular store. I am also surprised that they have aisles for like everything!!! You can find so much stuff here. Now I know to come here for specific stuff before going somewhere else. :) It's also kind of crazy to see what people get rid of though..... it's like everyone has had the same casserole dish or the same baking pan and no one wanted to keep them. This is literally the biggest Goodwill in the country and far one of the best you'll ever visit. I've purchased dozens of things and my house is packed full of amazing Goodwill Finds. From furniture to art and everything in between. The amount of stuff they offer is insane and you can really find anything on each visit. It does take some effort since the store is always busy with shoppers but that's half the fun! I love that Seattle Goodwill is a local company and the proceeds go back into the local community with their education and support services. The parking lot gets a little crazy but there is always available parking and easy donation drop off so there's no reason to not stop by! read more

A good place to shop, but a horrible terrible no good very bad place to drop stuff off: the employees will discriminate, leaving half of your stuff in your truck or car! What a drag for us to haul away a perfectly new bed with frame, expensive Christmas stuff, and other "unwanted" furniture, and items. Making matters worse the manager of the donation station is surly and rude.. Better bet? Go to Value Village where they will take ALL of your stuff and simply discard the items they don't want. I will never give Goodwill my stuff again, nor should you unless you've got a long day and don't mind multiple trips to potential takers. read more

I bid on an item on their e-commerce site through eBay. I won the bid for the item. It was not a very expensive item, and yet, it was very special to me! The next day I realized that the item had been 'Closed' and subsequently Canceled by Goodwill of Northwest Washington, Seattle. I immediately tried to call them: however, to date they have never picked up the phone. Or, return my messages. This time was no different. Next I sent them a message through the eBay messaging system. The next Day, after they finally wrote back saying that the payment had been canceled. I had not even made payment on it yet. I certainly couldn't have canceled a payment that I never made. To paraphrase I was told there was nothing they could do that they would relist it. Assuming that if I wanted it I would have to rebid on it. Frankly, I expected better of them! read more

I can't count the number of times that I've gone to this Goodwill looking for some random cast-iron pan or a anchor head glass dish that I can put in the oven I almost always find what I'm looking for plus one or two other things. Yes the store can be a little crowded I'm almost any day yes the parking is a challenge but you just have to except it that's the way it is and have a very specific idea of what you're looking for because this place is huge it's probably 20,000 ft.². Hien, a young, small, pregnant Vietnamese staff member, provided excellent customer service for me at the downtown Seattle Goodwill store in Little Saigon. My cards didn't work on the cash register when I was checking out, and she said she couldn't hold my items for me, so I hoofed it over to a nearby gas station to withdraw cash and went back to the store. I searched in the area near the checkout for my items and went back into the clothing department to try to find and retrieve my items in case they had been put back. She actually searched for me and found me and offered to help me find my items near the checkout area. She eventually found them in the bin behind the checkout counter and offered to check them out for me. That is excellent customer service, and I believe Hien should be rewarded for her great service. read more

What a disappointment. After reading these reviews I was excited to go here, but my spirits fell the further I got into the store. The prices are just . . .stupidly high. I found multiple Ikea branded items priced higher at this Goodwill than they cost new. Everything; even cracked, broken, and worn down things I couldn't give away at a garage sale, are priced as if this were a boutique. I spend about 4 hours there and found a few items that seemed fair, but no bargains and no scores. I ended up going to Ikea, which I didn't want to do, in order to *save money*. When I visit Seattle I will always ALWAYS make this thrift store my first stop! It's one of the bigger ones, very very big ones and I end up coming out with not just clothes to bring back home on a plane with. Prices are decent, a little high in my opinion but I always weigh out if the cost is worth it in the end. It's packed here! It always has been! So Be prepared to be not covid distancing, they express they want it but nobody cares since they want the deal on the clothes. This is for tourist: If you decide to take public transportation you do have to walk down a stairwell that has a bunch of homeless and a lot of drugs going on. They aren't terrible and are usually nice but it's expanded over the years. When I went down the stairwell this time, we had to take a Uber back to the main area of Chinatown because we were concerned for our safety. read more

This is one of the biggest Goodwill's that I've ever been to. It's so fun to shop here and I could honestly spend hours here at a time. This store is awesome because it is separated into two sections, and it's almost like two separate stores. One side of the store is all clothing and shoes, while the other side has housewares, electronics, etc. The store is full of treasures if you look hard enough. I have found designer clothing for pretty reasonable prices. I have also found super random items that I wear all of the timenow. The store is very clean and well organized, so it makes it relaxing and fun to shop here! Tons of parking as well, and lots of dressing rooms. read more

I'm addicted to this place. Clearly I have my favorite spots: Ballard, U District, Dearborn to name a few. I have found some of my favorite articles of clothing at these places. Comfy long sleeves PJ shirts, fleece pants, v-neck T-shirts w unique graphics and even a cool old Swedish clock that perfectly matches my decor. If you buy these products new, you have one buyer and give a nod to corporate that this many sold so we need to stock this many next month. And down the line, someone extracts more materials from the Earth to make and ship that one more "sneed"(Lorax) to meet demand next month. With Goodwill, there are infinite "buyers" and you're dipping into the supply that's already here, giving it new life, and keeping it out of the landfill. So whenever you can, exercise that 2nd R - REUSE! Goodwill facilitates this. read more
