Me and some close friends bought a variety of clothes and other items here in early October during the Ballard Wine and Shop event. We purchased artwork, jewelry, plus men's and women's clothes. All the items were in great condition at incredible prices. They keep the prices low so the donated goods sell fast! The volunteers who work the shop are always very helpful and personable. I think this thrift shop is one of the best kept secrets in Seattle. read more

A cute thrift shop in the heart of Ballard Seattle nestled in among hip restaurants and coffee shops. We walked by in the evening and a blue flower vase caught my eye so we stopped the next day. It was a small shop but packed with an assortment of clothes, dishes and small surprises. I love to browse in thrift shops especially when it's not just junk. I bought my vase, at 50% off. The elderly ladies who volunteered were also sweet. Worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood and like thrift shops. read more

Well it would be nice if they weren't so expensive in prices. I know everyone's trying in this economy but some prices were too high.

I have been supporting this thrift store for a long time, today, it was clear that someone had come through and re-priced items.... We shop places like this to help support your organization, if we could afford to be meaningful patrons we would. Stop raising your prices, I pay for parking hoping to find a treasure. I know your employees are volunteers and I am always respectful and friendly and they are in return. Please consider rethinking your current pricing strategy. read more

This tiny store on Ballard ave used to be a bit of a junk drawer, with various things crammed in dusty spaces, not really making use of the space. Well guess who got a facelift? Nope, not another Beverly Hills Housewife, but this little store. It's BEAUTIFUL now, clean, bright, well-organized and gorgeous. The prices are a tiny bit higher than some other thrifts, but the items are good quality and feature fancy designer labels. I set my sights on some stunning glassware and a couple of pretty garments, will make this a new stop on my thrifting rounds. p.s. I was on a mission to buy something fantastic - according to my Dove chocolate wrapper. Well, I did not find the fantastic, but I found a cute pair of colorful slacks that fit and the price was right. A great selection of all sorts of stuff. R Shoppe is a nice little thrift store, just a little bit cluttered, but not bad. They have a decent variety, clothes, cookware, books, CDs, jewelry...they don't have a lot of anything (except maybe clothes), since they're a very small little shop, but they do have a little of just about everything. Their prices are in general pretty decent, especially if they're having a sale, if a bit random at times. I'm quite happy - they had a sale, and I picked up a bunch of stuff for my new apartment kitchen and some other stuff for $11, and the staff was friendly, if a little disorganized. Overall, it's a nice little thrift store, worth a stop if you're in Ballard. As a note, they support the Ryther Child Center ( http://www.ryther.org/howyoucanhelp/shop.htm ) - I don't know much about them, but evidently they help down-and-out kids on a 10-acre campus. The reason I went here is because every time I went to my Moms house she had a new designer outfit or a beautiful vintage embossed silver bowl for $3 from this place. A vintage flow ware tea pot. Vases, serving pieces.The list goes on and on. The store is great. I found a beautiful designer silk blouse with the original tags still on it. There's art and glassware. Tons of clothes and vintage jewelry. All of it is in great shape, the store is very organized and clean. The best part is the proceeds go to Ryther League and it's a great cause. This is a little gem of a thrift store right in the hippest part of Ballard. I didn't know what to expect but I found brand new Eileen Fischer outfits -- I got a sweater top for $15 -- adorable accessories (a very soft knit hat for $5), and a pair of salt and pepper shakers painted with chickens that I had a hard time resisting ($8!). I love this place! They had duck boots and an Eddie Bauer half zip which I picked up in an instant and paid only 26 dollars in total for both. They have some great finds and are in a sweet location. I'll go to this place before I go to a Goodwill. I would recommend doing a little shopping here and then going over to Hot Cakes after you're done. ReStyle, you are my favorite! read more

Nice shop! I picked up four beautiful coats and jackets for $30. The store is cluttered and they don't have a great selection of men's clothes, but you can definitely find good stuff here if you come check in every once in a while. Sometimes they have tag sales, which are also pretty nifty. These jackets, though - let me tell you about them. One of them is a grey peacoat in perfect condition. Another one is a suede Sundance jacket or something - brown and soft. I also got a weird blue coat that I thought I really liked, but my friend said it made me look like her Asian grandmother. I still like it, though. I just don't really wear it as often. The grey peacoat, though - very nice. With enough patience and determination, I can practically guarantee you can find a bargain piece that will top off your Asian grandmother collection. read more
