Straight to the point: I will be back for more! This is a gold mine. I heard stories of people pushing, taking things out of your cart, noisy. I'm sure there are times it's like that and it's worse at some locations, but my experience was good. We arrived about ten minutes after they opened. Grabbed a cart, and chose a bin. People were doing their own thing, looking for the good deals. I wasn't pushed once. The noise level was not high at all. Occasional it got crowded in the isle with the carts in the isle but I'm glad this place allows you to take your cart with you. I've heard some outlets make you leave them by the wall which means you'd grab a hand full of clothes and have to go put them in your cart and then go back to the bins. I like being able to take my cart with me, even if it means some areas are a bit crowded and I have to do a backwards maneuver out of the isle. The only time I saw people rush for goods, is when they removed the bins that had bin out a while, and brought in new bins. I wasn't paying attention so I missed when they first brought them out, and turned around and saw all these people over at the new bins, hurriedly going through them. LOL I got my butt over there too! I found Miss Me, Rock and Republic, Ann Taylor Loft jeans. Victoria Secret joggers, Tommy Bahama, nice dresses, lot's of good stuff. We had two carts filled to the top. We spent two hours there. Our total was $125. When I got home I counted how many pieces I got. 145 pieces. Which is about $.86 each piece. Pretty good deal. The staff was courteous. The patrons were cool. It was organized. I had no problems what so ever. read more

If you value your time, don't waste it here. I've been to enough Goodwill Outlets to know the good ones from the bad, and this one is by far the worst. Whoever designed the flow of this store obviously didn't give much consideration to how to effectively work with the limited space that they have. Don't be fooled, from the outside the store looks huge; but the actual retail floor space is not only smaller than most regular Goodwills, but the fact that you're limited to using half the square footage at any one time makes it that much smaller. Picture this, if you will. Half of the store at any given time is empty while employees busily cart the bins in and out from the back room. The other half of the store is shoulder to shoulder with customers frantically rummaging through bins while others stand around waiting for the signal to flock to the other side of the store to start the process all over again. To make matters worse the aisles are hardly big enough to accommodate two carts side-by-side which makes it nearly impossible to navigate through the sea of madness. For the record, I'm a huge fan of the bargain bins; but after 15 minutes of this place I was done. Between the inefficiency of the layouts and the quality of merchandise that I saw in the time that I was there, it truly isn't worth the aggravation. read more

This is the kind of place where if you ask to see the manager, then the dude your talking to is the manager. And it's filthy. Dirt and dust all over the floor and nobody mops. Don't wear any shoes you care about here. Your shoes with get disgusting just by walking. read more

These people (especially the manager) are crooks. The way they organize the process just wastes your time and if you find anything that has any sort of value they will change the rules and jack up the price when you try to buy it. Don't waste your time here. read more

Well hopefully I can remedy some of the scary reviews on here! I was a little frightened to go to the clearance center based on the bad reviews and you tube videos. But I decided to go anyway AND take my 6 month old. AND we didn't wear hazmat suits. It was a little confusing when I got there- there are times when certain areas are closed to shoppers. So if you aren't sure what's happening, talk to another shopper, or do what they are doing. In other words blend in! Make time to go on this trip, both times I went, I spent 2-3 hours and still felt like I hadn't gone through all the bins. I have heard they also change the bins every couple hours. So they close a section when it's been out for awhile, then wheel it away while you're in the other section. Then restock. People line up and then run to the newly opened section. Which I found pretty funny (I didn't run and still found great stuff). On to things I found: several great vintage pieces, clothes for my son, Lula roe leggings, Birkenstocks, Michael Kors, lots of other name brands, Halloween decor, bedding, and more. My best tip is to grab stuff, inspect for holes etc. then before you check out, go through the cart again and make sure it is in the condition you desire. My first trip, I bought a lot of damaged stuff I didn't notice. My second trip I only accidentally bought one damaged item. Employees are pretty friendly & talking with other shoppers is helpful. One lady found me more clothes for my son. One man found me a couple really cool items and I didn't even tell him I was looking for them! I've been to the Goodwill Outlet store in Austin Texas and that place is huge and clean. So I decided to try the one in Phoenix. Ummmmmm....no. The building itself is huge but the place where the customers shop is tiny, making for a very tight area. The overall feeling is the place is very dirty. Dozens of people crowding around each bin and when you get a chance to look in a bin, things are broken and dirty. Too bad this is the only Goodwill Outlet in Phoenix. read more

This place is right off of the I-10. It took me an hour to get here, due to traffic. They open at 8 am, sooooo, you may have to deal with horrendous traffic to get here. I didn't make it in until after 8 am. It was pretty packed. I found some nice clothing and an American Eagle jacket. They charge by the pound. I would say that if you plan properly and get there really really early, you may be able to snag some amazing deals. I will go back, but leave my house at 6 am. Bring gloves and a mask! Odd that people rate this more than one star. I'm no snob when it comes to Goodwill and will sort through moderate amounts of crap to find what I want, but this place sort of exceeds my expectations of sleaze. First heard about these clearance-style Goodwill outlets from a traveler while working @ a Goodwill in the mid-West, and couldn't quite believe it. But here it was: hundreds of people sifting through dozens of bins of unorganized garbage: Broken electronics, glass-free picture frames, stuffed stained dolphins, all useless except for the patient few sloughing through the totally random textiles, stained w/ the urine and sloppy Joe of seasons past. Former reviewer is right that this is a frightening modern frenzy of impoverished people grasping at a piles and piles of junk, but somewhere deep down inside you hear the call of a young girl child explaining the love she had for her decapitated Barbie doll and the following teenage years in her life when she settled into the idea that her slightly annoying, sexually out-of-control best friend was just someone else's spray painted gold discarded metal curtain rod. I went today with my grandma after hearing about it through Youtube. We wanted to check it out since we are avid thrift shoppers. However we only stayed less than 30 min and were glad to leave. The place was full of Mexicans with carts full of clothes that lined the walls. The bins were filled with broken, stained, ripped, and otherwise unwanted items that are the left overs that Goodwill could not sell at their regular stores. It wasn't worth the trip, and we will not be back. read more

I finally made it in this place. It was filthy but I was expecting that. The place was packed because it was .49 cents a pound day. I was a little overwhelmed but I think anyone would be. They have tons of garbage. Tons. when they wheel out new bins people go crazy. The employees literally scream at customers to not touch until they say go. I actually purchased 20 pounds of stuff. I found some kids clothes and things for diy one thing I found was this sea shell chandelier thing that's going to be amazing with some spray paint. Need 12 pounds of broken picture frames? Or five pounds of naked, one-armed Barbies? Or three pounds of high school debate club t-shirts from the 90s? This is your place. I stumbled across this place while looking for a regular Goodwill donation center. Turns out this place is where all the old, naked Barbies (or whatever other unsold merchandise) go to die/be sold by weight. I'm no Goodwill/thrift store snob, but this place is grimy. It's just like one of the flea markets...except if the merchandise wasn't organized and was thrown into bins that were rotated out every two hours that have the occasional roach or sharp object. Not really worth the trip, but maybe you could find some cheap materials for a DIY projects. Just bring gloves. Heavy-duty ones. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The concept of the store seems like a good idea, however, when you walk in everything is wrong. There are people with multiple carts dragging them everywhere blocking you from being able to look as well. People are rude and defensive as if they own the entire store. Employees do not help and are rude. I was walking back to the bathroom to wash my hands and an employee stopped me because they were bringing more bins out and the back of the store with the items was closed but I wasn't going there, I was going to wash my hands before leaving. The atmosphere feels dirty and rude. Most Items and clothing are dirty or broken. They should have a cap of how many people can be in the store at a time because you can't even walk through the tiny aisles. The words that came to mind when being in here was dirty and desperate. Everyone is fighting over items and not letting other people look. Never going back and telling people to stay away. I literally washed my hands for 10 minutes after leaving this place. My favorite place to shop in the whole world! Yes, it's dirty. And loud. And little kids are running around all over the place. But it's like paying a small fee to dumpster dive. I have found so much good stuff here. To me, the fun is in the hunting. read more

First, let me state that I am a thrifter for life. I was in Phoenix visiting my son when I decided to Google and see if there was a GW Clearance Center...imagine my surprise and excitement when I saw there was a clearance center less than 15 minutes from where I was staying. When I walked in, I was directed to download the QRS scan code and then complete the registration. I believe Ms. Monika is the young lady's name that told me how this particular store works. She encouraged me to get in line and join the fun in finding hidden treasures. She was patient with me as I asked a zillion questions, she answered them all with a smile on her face. I spent about 2 hours in the clearance center and walked away with a few clothing pieces that made it worth my time and energy. Maria was my cashier and she was just the sweetest, with such a bubbly personality. She has great upwelling skills BTW. Both of these young ladies made my shopping experience so pleasurable. I live in Atlanta, but travel to Phoenix regularly. I'm so excited about returning to Phoenix and shopping at the Clearance Center. read more

Pretty crazy here. There is a huge warehouse on one side then the bin shopping on the smaller side. They roll large shallow bins out and you get to pick through and fill a cart. About 80% clothes. That room has two sides. While you pick through the bins on one side, they replace the bins on the other side with fresh filled bins. After a while you switch sides and get to go through the newly brought in bins. They weigh the stuff and you pay $1.69 or so a pound for the stuff. Then they have another room where there are bins of large items. Bikes, furniture, etc. there was one bin full of nothing but batting helmets. A couple bins of toys. Everything you can imagine. The large items are sold at a very reduced rate over there and you get a ticket to pay for them. The smaller items over there are sold by the pound. It is a warehouse so it is a bit loud and dirty. Bring gloves to wear while you sort through the stuff- my hands were filthy when we were done! read more

I drove up from Chandler to this place to buy broken plates for mosaics and it really wasn't worth field trip. It felt like Black Friday with the crazy people except the crazy people are going nuts over other people's garbage. There really wasn't anything there that was worth buying everything was broken, defective, stained. They want 99 cents a pound for the clothes and 59 cents for the other items. If you buy the non clothes they end up being more expensive than if you just bought them at a goodwill on 50% off Saturday so I don't think it's worth it. I picked up a plate that was labeled 99 cents, on the 50 percent off sale days it would be $0.50 here however the plate was $1.30 because of its weight which really doesn't make any sense. Wasn't sure what to rate it because I talked to one of the guys that works there and he says it's always crazy that they feel they need to get out of the away cuz people will just push them so I don't know that's not for me it's probably not for a lot of people but for some specific type of people they might have fun here. P.S. If you are going to venture out bring some workman's gloves because there are a LOT of broken glass items and other jagged objects in the bins that will cut you if you are not careful. read more

If you have ever watched a documentary where they show hyena's and vultures going after an animal carcass then there is no reason to go here. It's the same thing. This is the second to the last stop for junk that no one would buy from the Goodwill stores. Most of it is broken. The only thing I found I was interested in cost more than the old price sticker it had on it (because it was very heavy). I passed. not going back. If you do go, wear heavy leather gloves as many of the carts contain broken glass and loose sharp objects. Be prepared for a free for all. People guard their junk like a dog guards an old bone. It only gets one star because yes there are decent things underneath it all. Yes its dirty and unsanitary, there was a cockroach in one of the bins! But the worst are the employees, never met more rude people in my life. The guy bringing out bins yelled at me after grabbing one item, and it was my first time so I didn't know you weren't allowed to grab until it was all out. He talked to the customers like they were dogs "NO! DON'T TOUCH" and the cashiers, talk about hormone driven teens worse than ever. We got into one line and the cashier told me I was allowed to go to the next cashier and the next cashier was making out with another employee at the register. And she tells us to go back to the other cashier and yells at the girl saying "can't you see I'm busy." She didn't even bag the items she just handed me the plastic bags. RUDE! read more

A great place to spend the day rummaging. This is the last stop for all Goodwill merchandise that did not sell at the "normal"locations. Beware, there are "regulars" that are here every day so shopping has a competitive edge to it. Items are sold by the pound and all of the merchandise on the sales floor changes every two hours. I have been going for a month and I have at least found 5 treasures the best being a coogi sweater I got for .50 cents and sold for over $200 on ebay... the people there are very rude!! pushing and even grabbing whats right in front of you! the one problem I have is they only give you so much time to go through the bins before rotating them out.. and take gloves there is broken glass in almost all bins and cat pee on some of the cloths...YULK! be prepared to stay a couple of hours and bring food and drinks. VERY dangerous, work there as a merchandise processor for 7 day. my body could not handle the horrible working conditions such as broken syringe needles stabbing through our flimsy gloves. i would also like to point out that customers go through the garbage before it came to me so i wonder how many people it stabbed. all my tests came back negative. thank you lord. read more
