    Rib tips greens corn bread

Let's start off with the Cuban sandwich it was good but I have had better but for this neck off the woods I'll give it a 7.0 now for the rib tips truly amazing I did not Evan have to touch the bbq sauce and they have 3 to choose from bold sweet and tangy I put the sauces on my beans and corn bread ! That being said I will definitely be coming back . Feels like a bbq restaurant bbq pits out side Smokey smell hits you in the faces this is the real deal !!!!

Great bbq restaurant!! We split a combo and added two sides. Ribs, chicken, burnt ends and brisket. Everything was great but the ribs really stood out to me. They were fall off the bone deliciousness!!

Combo with spare ribs, burnt ends, brisket, mac n cheese, candied sweet potato.

I wanted to give this place 3.5 stars, but couldn't. I ordered the following. Nachos with beef brisket chili- super good, brisket is tender and juicy and adds good flavor. Burnt ends- super sweet, tender, just too sweet. Brisket-Pretty dry, not really a fan. Spare ribs- good bark and hickory flavor, pretty tender inside. Mac n cheese - Not bad, not the best but not the worst. Sweet potato- Little too sweet for me Service: good Overall: it's ok, but keep in mind everything here tends to be on the super sweet side. The mvp is definitely the nachos with brisket chili, i highly recommend that. Everything else is hit or miss.

The wait time for a table was long but worth it! I got the ribs, and I enjoyed them! I had the side of sweet potato and cucumber salad~ the salad has too much of the vinegar for my liking but it was a good pallet cleansing side. The sweet potato had crispy marshmallows and I loved it! There were three different sauces, labeled sweet, tangy, and bold with a hot sauce bottle. My favorite combo was tangy with hot sauce~ The environment was clean and the bathroom smelled clean for a meat restaurant ~ this place had such a great atmosphere, and had plenty of beer available.

We were looking for BBQ for dinner and turns out the place I used to go closed so we came to this place instead since it looked promising. The place is rather small so there was a bit of wait. We waited around 40 minutes to get seated. I ordered the combo plate with Brisket, Turkey and Pastrami with side of mac and cheese and salad. I wanted the burned ends and links but they were out The food was pretty good. Brisket was definitely the best out of the meats. Turkey was a bit dry and pastrami was a bit too salty. Mac and cheese was average and salad was okay. Service was decent other than bit of wait due to how busy the place was. Overall it's a solid BBQ spot. I would come back to try the other meat/sides and order brisket again.

Good but Expensive Came here last Saturday. Plenty of sit down seating along with a small bar in back. I sat at the bar and had some pork ribs and brisket. Also has a good selection of local craft beers on tap. Lots of good dishes, but brisket is moist and very tasty. The bold and tangy sauces provide the great finishing touch. But, the best dish so far is the homemade smoked sausage, don't miss that. The smoked turkey is also very tasty. Tip: Burnt Ends, order quickly because they run out. Overall, pretty good bbq, but it is pricey. Two people with a couple of drinks is going to cost you a 100. Thanks

First time going here at the recommendation of a friend who also really enjoys and has a good taste for food. Food was really really good and I will definitely go again. Burnt ends really were amazing, corn bread was rly soft and moist. Well done, it should be renamed to amazingly fantastic stuff smokehouse. I'd give a higher rating than 5/5 if it was possible. Coming from a person who's been in the service industry (food) for around 12 years I've definitely tried a lot of food. The price reflects the quality though. Worth it tho. Deliciousness! Waitress was awesome as well.

    Reuben!
    Andrew S.

Had the Brisket Reuben, was excellent. After using the custom sauces I realized for me I needed Dijon mustard. The waitress only had a hearty style mustard that hardly fit the bill. Golden Mustard is no substitute for flavorful Dijon mustard, a simple fix, but an important fix, for me this would make the brisket Reuben superb. Just making a logical request. Better is better. Side Caesar salad was very good.

Bread for the table is available upon request, and is sort of skimpy. But honestly, it's probably so your appetite isn't spoiled. For dinner, I got the filet and it was to die for! Absolutely divine! Other people at my table ordered the steak with parmesan fries, scallops, and pear salad. Everyone was impressed. We ended with Espresso Martinis and the Mud Pie for dessert. The pie was INCREDIBLE! I was expecting pudding or a trifle of some sort, but it was actually more like an ice cream pie with heath that just melted in your mouth. My table of 6 shared it. Nestled in the Wharf, it was a cute little place with both an up and downstairs. We reserved a spot for around 5:30 (in April) and it was pretty open. There weren't too customers yet, and it was nice and quiet. If you're looking for a ton of space for the seating area, I will say that there isn't too much room/it's pretty nice and cozy! At Wharf Southern Kitchen and Whiskey Bar, they've got a line of booths along the wall, a bar area right in the center and at the actual bar, a high top, another bar at one of the entrances, and a table that seats six. Now let's chat about the service. Our waitress was wonderful, patient, and was extremely helpful when asked questions and also gave SUCH wonderful suggestions. There were MANY fantastic choices on their menu and I was having a pretty difficult time narrowing down which one I really wanted, but with our waitress's help, I was able to choose pretty quickly (and they were AMAZING choices!) Now the food! The wait for the food honestly wasn't that long, and when we got it, we ABSOLUTELY CHOWED... -The Crispy Chicken Bites were AMAZING! I ended up upgrading to the Buffalo Style, and it DID NOT disappoint at all! The Bleu Cheese crumbles were just the perfect amount, and the Buffalo sauce was JUST enough to still enjoy the crispiness of the chicken. I DID ask for ranch on the side, and that just was *chef's kiss*! -I've never had fried pickles before, but I certainly have never seen a restaurant do it with whole pickles. Though it was my first time trying fried pickles, it tasted great! I wouldn't say it's anything special, but it's a great, and lighter on the fried side, appetizer! -I was having a hard time choosing what entree to enjoy, but I'M SOOOO glad that I went with the Smoked Brisket Chopped Cheese! I'm not a big brisket girl, but I will say that this was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! At first when it came out on the bun, I was a little skeptical of how it would taste, but it definitely didn't disappoint! The brisket was cooked SO well with the perfect amount of seasoning, and it all just melted so perfectly together as I was eating it. And the tater tots were SO AMAZING (though on the saltier side) and SO perfectly crispy. I've only got great things to say about Wharf Southern Kitchen & Whiskey Bar & I WILL be back here/will suggest it to my friends visiting Newport one day!
